Chapter 28:

Dragon Land Search - Part 3:

Twilight's Earth Magic

After freeing the dragons and getting the directions from Dragon Lord Ember, Twilight, Spike, and their new friend Applejack continued on their search to find the two lost Guardians, Cliffbore and Inferno. Twilight asked Applejack if she could lead them to the labor camp, because according to what Ember has said, her two trusted Dragons named Garble and Smolder know where they're being held captive.

On their search, they have many encounters such as Slash's Forces, Magma Worms, and even Buffalo Beetles. Yet, Twilight and Applejack managed to fight them all and defeated them with ease. It didn't take long until they entered a mysterious cavern where Twilight approached a big bell and became curious. She wondered what will happen if she rang the bell, yet, for some reason, she hesitated.

"I bet you can't ring that bell, Twilight," Spike said, noticing Twilight's hesitance.

"Why would I even want to, Spike?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, she could ring the bell whenever she feels like it," Applejack stated.

"Oh, come on. That obviously means Twilight's scared," Spike taunted.

"I'm not scared, Spike," Twilight argued.

"And neither am I," Applejack added.

"Oh, the special Alicorn Warrior is scared of the mean old bell. Oh, I didn't know, I'm sorry, oh no, I'm sorry sis. Why don't you get your pillow and laid out…," Spike further taunted.

"Twilight, you don't have to do this," Applejack assured her fellow Alicorn, not wanting her to give in.

Having about enough of his taunting and wanting to prove that she's not scared, Twilight marched up to the bell with a look of determination and rang it. But unfortunately, after she rang it, the bell dome began to shake and fell. Applejack and Spike got out of the way but Twilight didn't move away fast enough and got trapped in the bell dome.

"*GASP*!...TWILIGHT! Can you hear me? Are you okay, Sis? Hey, listen, forget about those cracks I made about you being a bookworm and a scaredy pony, alright? Just get outta there, Twilight. Please, Twilight, don't be dead!" Spike said, banging on the bell tearfully, hoping that Twilight is still alive in there.

"I'm really sorry, Spike. I really am. I knew how much she meant to you as a sister and a friend," Applejack said with a sad sigh and placed a hoof on Spike's shoulder.

But before the two could mourn over Twilight's death, they suddenly heard a muffled boom sound and heard it again as they looked to see the bell moving as the boom got louder and louder. Applejack and Spike moved out of the way as the boom got louder once more until…

BOOM!

The bell dome exploded into pieces, revealing Twilight to still be alive. Spike and Applejack were surprised to not only see Twilight still alive but also see her use a new elemental power to get out of the bell. Applejack was more surprised than the young dragon. Although Twilight was relieved to get herself out of the bell, she couldn't help but become confused.

"Did you say something, Spike?" Twilight asked, raising a brow.

"What me? No, I was talking out loud, thinking of my day, I gotta do," Spike quickly lied, which Applejack rolled her eyes at.

"Really? I thought I heard something before I blasted way out," Twilight said, thinking she must have heard Spike say something about her.

Spike scoffed and denied it, "Oh, that's funny. Yeah, no must be hearing things,".

"I gotta admit, Twilight. I'm impressed. But how did you master the Element of Earth that fast?" Applejack asked, recognizing the Earth Magic.

"I don't know, Applejack. But I've got a feeling that after we save Cliffbore and Inferno, Cliffbore might teach me how to master this Earth Magic," Twilight suggested.

"Eeyup, Cliffbore is the Alicorn Guardian of Earth. But in order to save him and Inferno, we have to get to that labor camp first," Applejack said, reminding her.

"So, which way is to the Labor Camp?" Spike asked, wondering which way they should go.

"This way, come on," Applejack said, pointing to the direction of a tunnel that'll lead them to the Labor Camp.
