Dragon Lands Search - Part 6
Twilight's Fire Magic
"Alright, let's do this!" Twilight said as she and Sunset Shimmer set out to help the trapped dragons from the labor camp.
"I'll take care of the Monkeys Twilight, you'll free the dragons," Sunset said as Twilight nodded, and the two ponies split up to do what needs to be done.
Sunset was dealing with some of Slash's forces and blowing up barrels of dynamite while Twilight was helping free the dragons from their cages. But while Sunset was dealing with the soldiers of the Dark Army, Twilight managed to free a few dragons from their cages, but just when she was about to approach the next and final cage, she was confronted by two captains.
"Well, well, well, look who we have here. A little purple Alicorn, trying to free these dragons," the first Ape Captain taunted with a smile.
"Hehehe, yeah. Too bad she can't get to them with us on the guard," the second Ape Captain chuckled evilly, thinking Twilight doesn't stand a chance against them.
This angered Twilight greatly, she had left her home, defeated Ice, Coral and Lava Monsters, Armies of Apes, Yak Trolls and animals to reach this point only to be insulted this way.
"I wouldn't say that if I were you two!" Twilight warned as she felt a heat rising up in her horn, "Besides, I've taken on creeps bigger and stronger than you guys before,".
"Oh, yeah? And what's you going to do about that?" the second Ape Captain challenged.
Twilight's anger finally reached its limit as her horn then started glowing a reddish orange color and suddenly, out of nowhere. "RRRAAAHHH!" Twilight yelled as a stream of fire erupted out of her horn and right at the two Ape Captains, causing them to yelp in pain, and ran while burning up in fire. After the threats have been dealt with, Twilight approaches the last cage and freed the last of the dragons.
"Are you guys okay?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, we're fine. Thanks to you for saving our hides back there," the Pink Dragon thanked.
"I gotta admit, that was some amazing thing you did with that fire. I always thought we dragons could only do that," the Brown Dragon commented.
"You're very welcome for the rescue," Twilight welcomed them.
As Twilight turned to head back, she was approached by Sunset who had a look of surprise and disbelief on her face, which Twilight noticed and became puzzled.
"Um, Sunset? Are you okay?" Twilight asked, raising a brow.
"Twilight what was that back there?" Sunset said in a surprised tone.
"What?" Twilight asked.
"That was Fire Magic back there! How did you learn that fast?" Sunset asked, recognizing the fire magic that Twilight unleashed back there.
"I don't know, Sunset, probably the same way I learned how to use the other elements . But after we rescue Inferno along with Cliffbore, I have a feeling he can teach me how to master more of the element of Fire," Twilight suggested.
"You're right about that, Twilight. Come on, let's go check on the others to make sure nothing happened," Sunset said as she and Twilight headed back to where Spike, Applejack, Smolder, and Garble are waiting for them.
When they arrived, they saw that Ember, Garble, and Smolder were hugging each other with smiles.
"Looks like they've already found each while we were away, huh?" Sunset commented.
"Yes, at last, thanks to you three and of course Spike," Ember thanked them.
"We're just disappointed that you didn't leave any fun for us," Smolder stated.
"Don't worry. We'll be sure to leave some fun for you three next time we come here," Applejack promised.
"Speaking of which, which way will lead us to Cliffbore and Inferno," Twilight asked.
"Your friends are being held that way, but you better watch your backs up there," Garble replied as he pointed the Mane 3 and Spike to the direction where Cliffbore and Inferno are being held captive.
"Yeah, the Conductor and his crazy train thing is probably there too," Smolder warned them of what's awaiting them there.
"So when you say be careful, does that mean don't try to die? Because I'm trying to do that anyway," Spike commented.
"Come, you two, we have to get all the other dragons out of here and back where they belong," Ember said as Garble and Smolder nodded.
Suddenly the ground started shaking violently, which Twilight, Spike, Sunset, and Applejack felt under their feet and hooves.
"And we better hurry. It won't be long now before Mount Stoker blows," Garble stated.
Not much later, Ember, Smolder, and Garble managed to gather all the freed dragons and Ember ordered them all to follow her out of Mount Stoker quickly before the volcano can blow. After the dragons have left, the gates began to open, which the Mane 3 and Spike took notice of.
"Hey, look. The gates are open," Spike said, pointing to the open gates.
"Come on, we have to hurry and find Inferno and Cliffbore before those crystals are charged up," Twilight said as she ran to the tunnel behind the gate with Sunset, Applejack, and Spike following behind her.
