Dragon Land Search - Part 7:
Rescuing Cliffbore and Inferno
The Mane 3 and Spike continued their search as they entered the tunnel. Along the way, they had a few encounters such as dealing with Dreadwings and Buffalo Beetles, they've faced and defeated more of the dark army, and freeing a few more dragons from their prisons. It wasn't long until they finally made it to the darkest pit of Mount Stoker and found what they were looking for.
Ahead of them are two Alicorn Stallions being held in two cages, looking drained and weak, and two crystals are still being charged with their orange and red magic.
One cage was holding an Alicorn stallion like Voltwing but is much bulkier. He had a short dark brown mane and tail, and his coat was chocolate brown, the outer feathers of his wings were tattered and blocky like rocks. On his serious-looking face were eyes colored a dark gray, and a goatee on his chin. He was decked in Viking armor, a fur vest, dark brown bandages around his forelegs, and had an orangish-brown bandana on his head and a gold medallion with the picture of a mountain on it, on his chest harness. His cutie mark was two rocks smashing into each other.
The second cage was holding another stallion but he is a bit smaller than the first stallion, his coat was pale red, his eyes were bright green, and his mane was long and colored red, orange, and yellow while the outer wing feathers were designed to look like burning flames. He wore a dark brownish red coat with a dark gray with tattered coattails at the back and over it was bronze rimmed-gorget with shoulder pads and on his head a bronze knight visor. In the center of his gorget was a golden medallion with the Insignia of a Flame on it. Underneath his coat, his cutie mark was a roaring ball of fire.
"That's them. That's Cliffbore and Inferno," Sunset said, recognizing the two stallions.
"You mean those two stallions that are being held prisoners in the center of an explosive volcano?" Spike asked, pointing to the two Alicorns ahead of them.
"Eeyup, that's them alright," Applejack replied with a nod.
"We have to be careful. Remember what Smolder and Garble warned us about," Twilight said, getting the same feeling again as the last two times.
"Hey, after the last two times, you're not getting an argument from me, chieftress," Spike joked, knowing what was going to happen next.
After Spike said that, Steam the Train appeared out of the tunnels and drove between the Mane 3 and Spike and the trapped Guardians.
"Oh, here we go again," Spike grumbled.
Riding on top, the Conductor saw the three ponies and small dragon and said, "You and your friends are a little late. The crystals are already charged and the volcano's about to blow…But before it does, me and Steam here are gonna take great pleasure in running you down!".
"Oh, yeah? Well, we would like to see you and Steam try and do that," Twilight said as she, Applejack, and Sunset got into their fighting position.
"Give us your best shots!" Sunset challenged.
Steam began to move but Twilight and Applejack already knows its weakness. So working together, the three Alicorns followed behind Steam and attacked it from behind. Twilight used her magic on Steam, Sunset used her fire magic, and Applejack used her earth magic on Steam. After bombarding the evil train, Steam drove and crashes into a wall but is still driving.
So switching to her Water Magic, Twilight used her Water Shards which made Steam much weaker and up to its weakest state. But the locomotive was still moving but rather at a slow pace.
"We almost got him," Applejack said.
"Then let's stop this train ride once and for all," Twilight said as Sunset nodded in agreement.
The three mares continued their fight against Steam and no matter what Steam did, even if it ran over them, the Mane 3 managed to dodge and attack it. Twilight, Sunset, and Applejack fought and fought Steam until Twilight served the final blow by unleashing…
Her Magic Fury Attack!
When she unleashed it, magic meteors rained down and bombarded Steam and the Conductor. And with a finishing touch, Sunset shoots a firebomb at them, causing Steam to explode, and the conductor was blasted into the sky and disappeared with a white star PING.
After Steam and the Conductor are done for, the cages holding Cliffbore and Inferno also explode along with the barrier, but the crystals are unharmed.
