Chapter 35:
Training Has Been Complete
After Twilight and Spike have followed Inferno and Cliffbore into the training room, the Alicorn Statue begins to lower down slowly for the last time. After the statue was lowered, the training dojo was created and practice dummies appears.
"The Power to harness the soil, the wind, the world itself is within your grasp, Twilight," Cliffbore stated.
"And Fire, the ultimate force to burn any all that is bad and begin anew is at your beck and call. Now pay attention and you will master these elements like the rest," Inferno added as Twilight got herself ready to master her new elemental powers and her greatest fear.
"Now, Twilight, the first thing to do is shoot your enemies with your Earth Shot Magic. Hit the dummies ahead of you to pass this training," Cliffbore instructed.
Three medium training dummies and three small ones appeared on the dojo and charged towards Twilight. Although Twilight was having a rough start at first, she was starting to get the upper hoof and defeated them one by one with her Earth Shot magic.
"Always be gracious in victory, Twilight," Cliffbore stated to her.
"Now on to the next phase. Twilight try and chase the dummies and shoot them with your Fire Magic only when they are within your range. Defeat them to pass this one," Inferno instructed Twilight on how to use her Fire Magic.
Six small dummies appeared as Twilight strikes one of them with her Fire Magic and defeated it, leaving only five dummies. Then Twilight chased after the others one by one. And when each one was within her range, she shot them with ease.
"A very good job, Twilight," Inferno congratulated her.
"Yes, there might be hope for you yet, young Alicorn," Cliffbore added as Twilight then ran to the center of the dojo, ready to hear the next instruction.
"Alright, Twilight. Try and shoot some Earth Magic Bombs at the dummies. But stay within the elemental walls," Cliffbore instructed her.
A green elemental wall appeared and surrounded Twilight along with some dummies. Focusing on her aim and staying within the elemental wall, Twilight shot some Earth Magic Bombs at the dummies, including dodging those throwing sticks of dynamite. When the Earth Magic Bombs exploded, they became swirling winds with leaves and they sucked in the dummies swirling them around like crazy until they were thrown onto the ground defeated.
After the dummies were defeated, the elemental wall disappeared.
"Looks like Celestia and Luna were right about you," Cliffbore said in amazement.
"Indeed, they were," Inferno agreed.
"So what's next?" Twilight asked.
"Next, Twilight, try and throw Fire Magic Bombs at the fleeing dummies and then use your aerial moves to melee them when they are caught in the air. And defeat them to complete this training," Inferno instructed her.
Seven more training dummies appeared on the dojo as Twilight sent some Fire Magic Bombs to launch them into the sky and used her aerial moves to melee them one by one. After the dummies were defeated, Twilight heads to the center of the dojo.
"That's quite impressive, Twilight Sparkle," Inferno said, being impressed with the progress Twilight has made so far in her training.
"Looks like you might even prove to be the true Alicorn Warrior yet," Cliffbore said in an even tone.
"Is it time for the final challenge now?" Twilight asked, getting the feeling she knows what was going to happen next.
"Yes, Twilight. After defeating the small dummies, defeat the oncoming larger dummies with your Earth Magic Fury Attack," Cliffbore instructed.
"And when more oncoming larger dummies appear, be sure to unleash the final fury attack…The Fire Magic Fury Attack," Inferno said, giving Twilight the final instruction in her training.
Small dummies appeared and surrounded Twilight, but the Alicorn managed to defeat them with her Fire and Earth Magic and aerial combat skills. After the small dummies were defeated, bigger dummies appeared and charged toward Twilight. But fueling all the Earth Magic within herself, Twilight rises up and unleashes…
The Earth Magic Fury Attack!
Suddenly rocks came down bombarding the dummies and defeating them in the process.
But Twilight wasn't done yet as larger dummies appeared and charged after her. This time, focusing on her Fire Magic a red beam of Fire Magic appeared around her and a red sphere of red light appeared near the dummies and Twilight unleashes…
The Fire Magic Fury Attack!
With that, all the dummies were pushed back and ended up burning to cinders and ashes.
"Very good, Twilight. It appears you have completed your training and mastered your fear," Inferno congratulated her for complete training.
"Good job, Twilight. But now, the final confrontation awaits for you," Cliffbore said, knowing what awaits Twilight and her friends as the final challenge.
With training complete and her fears being mastered, Twilight, Spike, Inferno, and Cliffbore all headed back to the Pool Of Visions while the Alicorn Statue returns to its original position.
