Slash's Lair - Part 2:
They Need Us
Halfway there to the fortress of Slash's Lair, Twilight and her friends have had a lot of encounters on their way. As they moved on, a Dreadwing was carrying a crate and dropped it to the ground. Appearing on the scene, a huge Ape Commander raised up his weapon and created an electric barrier, blocking the way into Slash's Lair and the Mane 7's way out.
"These Monkeys are starting to get really irritable," Rarity said in an annoyed voice.
Knowing that they had to fight, the Mane 7 fought the Commander and his small flunkies until after they were defeated, the electric gate finally disappears, which didn't go unnoticed by Twilight.
"Girls, look the gate is losing power," She said.
"Come on, we got two princesses to save and an evil stallion to stop," Pinkie said as she ran ahead of them.
But very quickly, Pinkie screeched to a halt, because ahead of her are more of those Crystal Giants. Luckily, Twilight and the others came just in time. As the Crystal Giants surrounded them, Twilight unleashes her Magic Fury Attack on them. Although they were still standing, Rarity uses her Water Magic on them and defeated them with ease.
When the Mane 7 were about to keep going, another Ape Commander raised his weapon and created another Electric Gate. And after the gate was created, a crate fell down ad exploded, revealing more soldiers of the Dark Army. But the Mane 7 didn't give up nor did they back down, they fought and fought their enemies with every move they got. Even with more coming, they still fought, without even breaking a sweat.
After defeating Slash's Forces, the Electric Gate disappeared and it reveals an elevator that will lead them up into the clouds.
"Looks like we'll have to use the elevator to get up there," Twilight suggested, looking at the elevator as she and her friends headed there and entered.
After they got on, the elevator began to go up. While they were riding, Spike was beginning to wake up from his unconsciousness, which caught the Mane 7's attention.
"Whoa, gee, what happened?" Spike asked in a groan, rubbing his head.
"It's a long story, Spike," Applejack replied.
Suddenly, soldiers of the Dark Army appeared in the elevator. But the Mane 7 didn't let them stay to ride with them for long. Whenever they appeared, Twilight and her friends used their magic to knock them off to make it a Primate-Free Elevator.
"No Monkey Creatures Allowed Here!" Pinkie said zapping some of them with her Electricity Magic off the elevator.
Once they have reached the top of the clouds and made the Elevator a Primate-Free Zone, The Mane 7 and Spike headed inside where they have encountered some more of those Conduits. Twilight and her friends fought them one by one and after they've defeated them, Twilight worked her magic to make two platforms rise up to a ledge above them. As they got on the ledge, the gates opened ahead of them, revealing two soldiers of Slash's forces.
But Sunset gave them a little surprise with some Fire Magic Bombs, defeating them in the process. After defeating those two, the Mane 7 and Spike made it back outside, where they've realized they're getting close to Slash's Fortress where Celestia and Luna are being held prisoner. Yet, Spike and Fluttershy couldn't help but feel a little nervous and scared about facing off against Slash.
"I still don't like this, Twilight," Spike said nervously.
"Neither do I. Maybe we should head back," Fluttershy suggested in an even tone.
"Look. It still doesn't matter. Celestia and Luna need us," Twilight said.
"She's right. This is our only chance to stop Slash once and for all. We've gotta do this," Sunset agreed.
"We're not complaining. We're just saying it would be easier if Slash was smaller. A lot smaller," Spike stated.
"Smaller or not. Come on, we still have a job to do," Twilight said as she walked ahead with the others following right behind her.
