The sun rose over the Lake View Mall and Legoshi woke up feeling a mix of joy and sorrow. He joined said friends at the food court to have a good breakfast even though he didn't feel like eating.
The food court was packed with so many animals that the cooking staff had to limit the portions given to certain animals. Herbivores got two helpings of food, while the carnivores only got one.
Juno looked over the menu. "Lets see today's breakfast is…" she began to ready aloud, but Free, who was standing beside her cheered when he saw what was being offered.
"Bread, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs and bean stake!" said lion happily exclaimed as he began to fill his plate.
With that everyone was grabbing something from the menu. Pina was right next to Legoshi who was very quiet. The doll sheep could tell that the wolf was not thinking about food. "Legoshi, you still have Haru," he said putting some gravy on Legoshi's biscuits.
Legoshi smiled weakly at Pina. "I know, but I still wish Jack was here!" he sighed grabbing a fork and knife.
Just as Pina was about to get some eggs a big black bear in a white business suit pushed the doll sheep away. "Move it or lose it!" he growled.
Haru stepped up to the bear. "Wait your turn!" she ordered, but the bear only laughed. "Hey relax slut it's first come first serve!" he chuckled showing his fangs to the dwarf rabbit. The others could tell that things could get ugly real fast and they had to stop it.
"Get in line like everyone else!"
The bear turned to his right and saw Louis standing between Free and Ibuki. The deer and the two lions stood strong and proud, but the bear was not the least bit scared. He just smiled at the young deer.
"You got some guts for a gangster!" he laughed sarcastically patting Louis on the shoulder. "Guess we could be friends what do you say?" he asked flashing his fangs with a smile.
Louis only smiled with anger. "I'm honored!" he said rolling his eyes.
"Sure you are!" snapped the bear as he slammed a spoon full of eggs onto Louis's plate. "Everyone should have a friend like me!" he said with a mean laugh and smile.
Louis only snapped his fingers and the bear was beaten down by Free and Ibuki. Later after breakfast Legoshi was walking outside the mall and saw a pin that held three ghouls, but the ghouls were being used as wrestling dummies by survivors. A tiger wearing an army uniform grabbed a goat ghoul by his arms and tore them off like they were twigs.
Sheila who saw the whole thing turned to Legoshi. "They're us." she muttered as the wolf looked at her confused. "We're them and they're us!" she then walked away because he did not like what she was seeing.
The wolf walked up to the top of the wall of the mall and looked out over the landscape. He saw countless ghouls converging on the area, but they couldn't get past the wall that surrounded the mall and the lake was behind the mall. An alligator policemen walked up to Legoshi.
"This wall was built when the mall was built because it use to be an army training camp!" explained the alligator. "The wall is solid and the only way in is through the front gate witch is just as strong." he added with a smile.
"Let's hope so!" warned Legoshi walking away.
Down in a closed up shop was Sheila, dressed in a sexy pink lingerie and was staring at herself in a mirror. The sexy cheetah had found away into the shop through one of the side doors in the maintenance hall. She thought she looked beautiful. Just then, she heard someone whistle. "What the hell?!" Pina gasped as he slowly reached out and took hold of the door knob. It felt like an hour went by before he turned it, then slowly opened it. The door suddenly swung open revealing a hellish sight. A male stallion in an army outfit was eating a female wolf. The ghoul turned his attention to the doll sheep.
The ghoul jumped at Pina who was to close to move away and they both fell to the floor with a crash. The ghoul was ripping at the doll sheep's clothes who was pushing with all his might against his attacker, but the ghoul would not loosen his grip. Pina saw the croaky mallet on the floor next to him and reached for it.
"Let's play!" shouted Pina as he grabbed the mallet.
The doll sheep swung the mallet with all his might and struck the ghoul in the head, but the mallet's head broke off and only enraged the ghoul. The enraged ghoul was ready to bite Pina's neck, but he punched the ghoul in the face causing it's head to lean back. The doll sheep then thrusted the broken mallet's handle through the jaw of the ghoul and the point broke through the top of it's head. The ghoul fell off of Pina who was covered with blood, but happy to be alright.
A guard who was a bull came into the shop. "What the hell is going on in here?!" he demanded.
Before Pina could answer a gunshot rang out. The doll sheep saw Ibuki standing in the doorway of the shop with his pistol aimed at him, but he turned around to see that it wasn't him that the lion was shooting at, but the female wolf. "Thanks a lot Ibuki!" sighed Pina with smile as he looked at the female wolf who had turned into a ghoul.
Ibuki turned to the guard and smiled. "It's your mess now!" he chuckled as he walked away.
News of the ghouls inside the mall was causing distrust among the survivors. How did they manage to get in? That was the question everyone was asking. Everyone was demanding answers, but they only got theories.
Miguno the hyena stepped forward with Durham the coyote. "Someone might have gotten bit while rounding up some of those things that we have locked up!" Miguno stated with Durham nodding in agreement.
Collot the sheep dog who carried Voss the fennec fox joined their friends. "Or maybe someone let them in the mall deliberately," the sheep dog hypothesized.
Voss looked at his friend. "That's a load of crap." he said.
Juno had only one thing to say to all the others. "This is no time to fight with each other." she begged. "We all must work together in order to survive this zombie apocalypses!" with that everyone agreed.
While the group argued about the ghouls, Melon had finally found the mall. He smiled as he turned to one of his men. "Make sure the horde of ghouls follow us in," he then looked behind him to see over three hundred ghouls closing in on him and his gang. The evil hybrid turned his attention back to the mall.
"We attack in four hours," he laughed and his gang started gearing up. It would soon be time to find Louis and kill him for good. However, he knew that the mall would have armed soldiers and security officers in place on the walls. Still, Melon could scale the walls and kill the sentries so that his men could open the gates and let the ghouls in.
Then, he would hunt down Louis while everyone would be busy dealing with the ghouls. His plan was fool proof.
Back in the mall Pina was with Cosmo in one of the bathrooms cleaning her injured left arm. "You got scratched by that ghoul at the airport!" said the doll sheep with concern. The okapi looked at him with a smile. "I'm alright and it doesn't hurt much." she explained wiping the wound with a towel.
Pina smile at Cosmo with understanding. "I can tell you're not sick and you're still…." the doll sheep then noticed a bit of blood oozing out of the okapi's nose. "Let me take care of that." he sighed with a smile. As Pina wiped Cosmo's nose clean of the blood she stuck her hands into his pants.
"Want to play with me in my sleeping quarters?"
