It only took a couple laps of running around New York City to brighten Donnie's mood. Soon, he became his normal albeit sassy self. Leo stopped in front of his brothers and started doing some stretches. The bright lights from the city illuminated his back, leaving his face almost hidden in the dark. "Since we're all warmed up, how about we do some training?" His suggestion was followed by many moans and groans. "What? It won't be that bad." Leonardo looked around the cityscape to find something for his brother's to do. "There," he said as he pointed to a tall building in the distance. "We'll start with a foot race."

"I don't see the point," Donatello started to complain. "Yeah, cuz I'm clearly going to win," bragged Mikey. Raphael pushed Mikey aside and said, "If anyone's going to win, it's gonna be me!"

"Alright guys, let's line up and…" Leonardo started to say until Raph interrupted him by bolting ahead. "Hey, no fair!" yelled Mikey as he chased after his brother. Leo shrugged and both him and Donnie followed the others.

Raphael lept from rooftop to rooftop, feeling the wind in his face and his heart pumping. He looked back to see his younger brother, Michelangelo, quickly gaining on him. Raph laughed as he ran even faster, leaving them all in the dust. He looked at the streets below, not thinking he would see anything of interest. He came to an abrupt stop as he saw some familiar silhouettes. Mikey sped by screaming, "You better hurry up!" Leonardo and Donatello soon followed after but stopped by Raph.

"What's the matter," Donnie panted. Mikey had finally caught on to what the other's were doing and jogged back. "Guys, it's no fun if you don't chase me." Leonardo followed Raphael's gaze and noticed a small group of Kraang. They walked back and forth between a van and a building. They seemed to be carrying multiple devices and some mutagen.

All four of them crouched on the roof, avoiding to be seen. "Easy peasy. It's just a couple of Kraang," Mikey said with a grin. He pulled out his nunchucks, resting them under his arms. He looked over to his older brother, waiting for the order to jump in. Leo nodded quietly and drew his katana. The others drew their weapons as Mikey jumped down yelling, "Booyakasha!" Donatello shortly followed, his bo staff in hand. "I was hoping for some action," Raphael said as he cracked his neck. He was about to join the fight when he felt a hand pull him back.

He spun around to see Leonardo looking ahead with a concerned expression. "What? Get off of me, would ya?" He shirked the hand off and glared at his brother. Leonardo pointed straight ahead and said, "Look." Raph turned to look, finding someone crouched over the edge of the opposite rooftop across the street. The building they hid at was a little lower than where the turtles stood. For the moment, they went unseen.

"Hey, that kinda looks like..."

"That person we met the other night," Leo finished Raphael's thought.

"What are they doing here? Is that creep following us or something?"

"I don't know, Raph. Here's the plan, I'm going—"

"I'm going to beat the snot out of them."

Raphael pulled out his grappling gun and aimed it to the building in front of them. "Hang on!" Leo yelled after him. He reached out to stop him, but the impulsive turtle was too quick and was already sliding down the wire. Leonardo growled but did not chase after him. He looked down at the street where his other brothers were and grumbled, "I was going to check them out, but noooo... Raph always has to have his way." He rolled his eyes and jumped down, ready to slice up the Kraang with his twin katanas.

o-o-o-o-o

Raph landed on the roof behind the stranger. They stood up and stared at the turtle quietly. In one gloved hand, they held out a small pocket knife. Their hands trembled slightly as Raphael approached. "Now," Raph said as he twirled his sai, "I don't know who you think you are, but nobody messes with my brothers except for me!"

The stranger still said nothing. They took a step back and stumbled near the edge. "Not a talker, huh? Works for me." Raphael dashed forward, stabbing his sai into the air. Before he could hit the stranger, they whirled around and jumped off the roof. They landed roughly on top of the white van that the Kraang were loading.

"Get back here!" Raphael yelled. With no hesitation, he jumped and landed on top of the van with much more grace than the stranger. Out of the corner of his eyes, Raph saw Mikey jump back as he dodged some of the Kraang's lasers. His younger brother stared at the two on the van with disbelief.

"Guys, look! It's Crow."

"Who?" Donnie asked without looking. His brows furrowed while he bashed a Kraang bot in its side. Leonardo spared a glance at Raph's situation but returned his concentration to the fight. "Oh, that's just the name I came up with," Mikey said between landing blows. "You know, because of the mask."

Both Raph and the stranger yelled out angrily at the same time: "That's not their name!" "That's not my name!" The two looked at each other in disbelief, although it was hard for Raph to tell their expression through the tiny eye slits in their bird mask.

The turtle snarled and lunged forward. This time the stranger did not run, but only avoided his attacks. They were fast, that was for sure. But, they made no attempt to fight back. "Would you stay still...for five minutes," Raph said in between attacks. As he missed another, the stranger started to run away. They were about to jump to the ground when Raphael grabbed the back of their jacket. While pulling them back, the hood slid off revealing long messy brown hair. The stranger reached behind and clawed at Raphael's arm, but his grip remained sure.

"Get off me," they shouted. Raph noticed a feminine tone in their voice. He continued to grip the jacket. "Not a chance." He started to pull her back when he was knocked forward by a stray laser. The turtle dropped Crow and stumbled about, trying to regain his balance. A burnt smell and slight smoke emanated off the back of his shell. He turned to his brothers and shouted, "Hey, a little cover over here?"

"On it!" Mikey responded. He leapt forward and wrapped his nunchucks around a Kraang bot. He pulled them to the ground in one swift motion. Raphael looked back to where Crow was. She had escaped his grip and jumped off the van. Raph growled, his fury bubbling inside uncontrollably. He hopped off the van's roof onto the cold concrete and surveyed the street. Not too far, Crow was rooting through a large cardboard box. He watched as she grabbed a canister of mutagen.

"I'm not done with ya!" In anger, Raphael disregarded his weapons and lunged forward screaming. Crow turned around but was not fast enough to stop the mutant. Raphael tackled her to the ground, pinning her arms past her head. The canister of ooze in her hand clattered onto the ground, but fortunately did not break.

Crow struggled under the turtle's weight. Her hair was splayed out on the asphalt. Raph heard her groan and mumble something, but the red scarf covering her mouth made it hard to understand. "What do you want with the ooze?" Raph interrogated her. She stopped struggling for a moment.

"The what?"

"The mutagen! Why are you trying to steal it?"

"I'm not stealing anything."

Raphael smiled viciously and said, "You know, it's not nice to steal stuff that doesn't belong to you."

"And it doesn't belong to you."

Crow suddenly slid her arms down towards her shoulders, causing Raphael to lose his grip. He let go; his hands slapping onto the ground. Crow thrust her hips upwards and abruptly threw the mutant turtle off of her. Raphael was too surprised to react and slammed against the ground, his head knocking against the hard ground. He rolled over and slowly started to stand. His eyes were a bit blurred but settled after blinking a couple times. He rubbed the bruised spot on his head and slowly looked around in a daze. "Where...what…"

Crow was gone, along with the dropped canister of ooze. "Aw, man. The guys are gonna kill me." He heard footsteps walk over. Raphael looked back to see his brothers. Donnie seemed a bit bruised, but the others were fine. Behind them, bodies of Kraang laid on the ground, lifeless. Leonardo slipped his swords back into their sheathes as he asked Raph, "You good?" He spoke in a slightly breathless tone. He was not breathing as hard as the others, but the fight still took some toll on him.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Raph grumbled. He cast a resentful glance at where he had Crow pinned. Donatello walked over to the box of mutagen and searched it while his brothers talked. "Where's Crow?" Mikey asked.

"She...got away with some of the mutagen."

"She?" Leo questioned. Before Raph could clarify, Donnie exploded at his brother. "Raph, what were you thinking? She must have gotten at least three of those containers. Don't you think it's hard enough as it is to find them without someone trying to steal them?"

Raphael growled and responded, "It's not like I handed them to her."

"You might as well!" Donnie marched up to his brother and started to poke at his plastron. "How many times are we going to let her get away?"

"Enough," Leo shouted. He stood between the two, pushing them away from each other. "We'll keep looking for now. When we get back to the lair, we can grab Donnie's stuff and track her. She has to be keeping all that mutagen somewhere. Alright?" Raph pushed away from Leo but otherwise the two turtles stayed quiet and nodded. Leo nodded back and started to head back to the rooftops. The others followed him silently. None of them found Crow again that night.
