I am back! Thank you so much DS2010 for all the reviews; your support means the world :)

Nothing is mine, other than the story and oc.

Obi-wan woke up the next morning, the first thought on his mind being that he needed a different place to stay. His back aches from sleeping on the cold hard ground and the blanket he had brought barely did anything against the cold desert night winds that blew in from the entry and the cracks in the cave.

But of course, he didn't have any money to spare for even a small domicile. While he was on his way to Tatooine 2 weeks ago, his first plan was to get a house. But when he got there he needed food and water and a couple other things and before he knew it he didn't have enough for said house. So he found the cave near Luke, Owen and Beru and decided he could stay for a couple days.

A "couple days" turned into two weeks before he knew it.

But now, in the moment he knew he had to get that house, and fast. But to get enough credits for said house, he needed a job.

So that's what he set out to do. He ate a half a portion, hopped on the speeder and made his way into town.

It was still considerably early in the morning, the first sun almost cresting the horrizon behind him filling the sandy wasteland with a hopeful light with the sky being stained dark purple in front of him. It hit him then, that even though Tatooine was one of the most barren and hostile planets on record, it did have moments of beauty. The thought of this brought an old memory to light.

"Qui-gon, this is one of the most ugly buildings I've ever seen in my life!" Obi-wan had said, way back when he was just starting to be trained.

"Ah, maybe so, but young padawan, you'll someday learn that beauty is, in fact, everywhere, but is only revealed when one seeks it out." His old master had replied wisely, in a way he always seemed to.

Obi-wan sighed. He had been so confused at the time, but he understood now. Tatooine was truly beautiful, full of people living their lives and falling in love and creating a world they want to live in. Sure it wasn't the bustling Coruscant he lived in before, and possibly that's why he hadn't seen it before, but... there was something about the planet he was speeding across that was certainly beautiful in its own way.

He made it to Milipel just as the first sun peaked over the sand dunes, and it hit him he hadn't even thought of where he should apply. He was pretty sure most buisnesses around there would like more people to work for them so he shouldn't have a problem getting a job. But he didn't want to get a job somewhere he would hate or with people that would drive him crazy.

He wasn't sure if he was going to be able to find a job that fit both criteria.

He sighed again as he crested a large dune, revealing the town below. The first sun was up, lighting up the settlement with aggressive light and casting long shadows in the other direction. The coolness of the morning was practically gone, and Obi-wan was already sweating under cloak despite the minimal time he had been under attack by the rays.

He slowed the speeder as he neared the town, bringing it to a stop behind an building on the edge of the town. He made sure he had the key as he turned it off then made his way into town.

The first few buildings were small and seemed mostly abandoned, or at least not open at this time in the morning. He continued through town at a somwhat leisurely pace while observing the buidlings in a little more detail. He was in no rush, after all. He scanned ahead a little bit, and the familiar ish shape of Folay's shop came into view. As he passed it, he peered inside the one small window and didn't see anyone inside, concluding it probably wasn't open yet.

So he continued, deciding that most shops wouldn't be open yet so he would wait a bit before choosing which buissiness to try to get a job at. The decision brought him to settle for simply strolling around the town, not bothering to find a spot to get out of the suns, since after all it was still early in the morning therefore the air was still cool and the suns were barely peaking above the buildings aroud him. Once again Obi-wan found himself thinking that this planet was actually beautiful as he was observing the world around him. The sand being kissed by the sun almost seemed to glow, whereas the sand in shade seemed dark enough to even be dirt that was once so familiar to him.

He felt his face fall and stared down at his feet in his once new, but now beat up leather boots. What he wouldn't give to go back home, back to Coruscant.

His thoughts were cut short by a ripple in the force. His head snapped up at the familiar feeling, and just as he suspected, Miona was a couple buildings away, looking slightly tired as she was walking in his direction. He suddenly became aware he was staring, so he looked away as to not have her notice him but it was to late. The second his eyes left her face he saw her look up and he felt her gaze land on his. She smiled happily and made her way over to him. "Hi Ben! what brings you into town so early today?"

He didn't understand why he felt so uneasy, and not in a 'i sense danger' type of way. In fact, he should be at least some what happy someone cared enough about him to talk to him, but yet... "I'm looking for a job. I won't be able to live off the credits I brought with me for much longer."

"I see." Miona said, nodding her head, while pretty obviously avoiding eye contact.

"I assume you're heading off to work right now?" he didn't know why he was keeping the onversation going. It had already drawn to a nice close, and his recent comment had just broken a couple seconds of silence. If it was any other day, he would've just bid them goodbye and gone on his way. He didn't care what she was doing anyway, right?

"Yeah." he felt her spirits drop through the force. "I'm tired and I don't want to today. But what choice do I have, right?" She forced a smile and looked up at him and for the first time was able to hold his gaze. Tension began to build in the force and he started feeling like he was losing air. He knew that eye contact with another force sensitive was always slightly overwhelming, especially when they weren't trained to conceal emotions and stop projecting their every emotion out into the force. But had it always been this intense? Maybe he was just overly desensitized, he concluded.

He was the one to look down. No matter the case, it was making him uncomfortable and he had to get away sooner rather than later. "No, no i suppose you don't." he finally replied.

"Well," she said, "if you have the time after you look for your job, you can stop by the shop. Nothing ever happens, it's so boring."

"Oh," he was slightly taken aback by her forwardness about wanting to see him again, although it shouldn't have surprised him since he could still feel the attraction falling off her in waves with her every heart beat. "Yeah, well, i guess i will see if i have time. It was pleasure running into you, Miona, and until i see you again." Still slightly flustered, he walked off.
