A/N: Okay, so I realize the two Pokemon Ash caught last chapter didn't teleport away like usual, but it was to keep the story simple and it's not like he was going to keep the extra two on his person so it's okay.

Finally reaching around the top, Ash, Hau, Misty, and his new girlfriend Lillie got off their Pokemon and returned them to Ash's pokeballs. Kukui spotted them as they rose above the edges of the mountain and waved.

"Alola, cousins! Was that Nebby just now?"

"Yeah. Lillie gave it to me so that I could take care of it and Necrozma."

"Lillie?" He turned to the blonde girl. "What made you consider this?"

"I didn't want Necrozma to suffer, considering what brought it such pain to begin with. I believe Ash could bring it happiness with the help of Nebby. I need to be strong, and if that means being away from Nebby, than I need to do so."

"Woo, you've certainly grown up. You still have a long journey ahead, but you're certainly not the Lillie I met whom washed up upon my beach. Well done." Lillie blushed from his praise as she beamed.

"Thank you Professor."

"Anyway, you all came a long way, woo! You made it through all the trials and grand trials Ash, yeah?"

"Yeah, and Hau ain't that far behind." The trainer mentioned.

"That's great. Congrats Hau. And Misty, if you haven't started yet, you've still got plenty of time."

"Thank you." The red head nodded with a smile. Though she then became confused. "Professor, aren't you cold? It's-brrr-really cold up here." Misty shivered from how high up the mountain is.

"Nah, I'm fine! My soul burns hot, yeah-hotter than a Blast Burn even!" Professor Kukui laughed as he puffed out his shirtless chest. "Just one more thing left to do. All you three have to train in the meantime for when the Pokemon League commences! That's when the real fun begins! Mount Lanakila is where trial-goers already finish their challenges. We're building our Pokemon League right up here, as high into the heavens as we could get, to show our respect for our legendary Pokemon and to honor them." Turning his back to them with his eyes closed, the professor breathed in the cold mountain air before breathing it out, a breath visible from the action. "I still remember like it was yesterday! I went all the way to the Indigo Plateau, yeah, right up to the Pokemon League Headquarters. And I went at them cousins! Those Elite Four really messed me and my team up! But then I saw my Pokemon battling for me through it all, pouring their souls into their moves for me. And then that last guy, Lance..." Realizing he was reminiscing too much, his eyes snapped open and turned to the trainers. "Oh sorry, enough about me-how about you guys get started on your training? The Pokemon League is just around the corner, woo!"

"Yeah!" All four of the teenagers agreed with vigor.

Finally, after months of training, it was finally time: the Alolan Pokemon League. Taking place shortly after all the other regions had their own so the whole world could watch, the whole shebang was about to begin. Ash, Hau, Misty and Lillie walked through one of the tunnels leading to the battle field, where they managed to find all the other trainers.

"Wow, this is a lot of people." Ash looked around, all excited.

"Good thing that my team is all ready to go." Misty grinned, ready to show her graceful water type Pokemon."

"And one of us will be Alola's first champion! Woo!" Hau shouted.

"Alola, faaans!" Professor Kukui called out to everyone, causing the arena to be overfilled with cheers. "Welcome! I'm so grateful to see so many trainers to reach the top of Mount Manakila! I now declare that the Alola Pokemon League is underway! I know you're all excited, but it's time to shift that into overdrive! Give it all you've got until there's nothing left to give! Now is the time for the Battle Royal preliminaries!" There was another uproar responding to that. Stepping down, he then let an announcer do the talking.

"I'm Caster, and I'll do the play-by-play! There's only a short time left before things kick off! The judges are our kahunas: Olivia, Hala, Hapu and Nanu!" The four named kahunas waved to everyone. "Now turn your attention to the jumbo screen. 151 represents everyone here who completed their island trials. This battle royal will continue until this number reaches the number 16." As he talked, Ash spoke to his friends,

"Guys, I just want to say, these past few months have been the greatest of my life. I couldn't have asked for a better group to call my friends. Let's give it our all!"

"Right!" The three others nodded in agreement, each a determined grin on their face. Once they went to their starting positions, a countdown started where 151 Pokemon were thrown out. Of our hero's Pokemon, there was Ash's Hawlucha, Misty's Starmie, Hau's Raichu and Lillie's Alolan Ninetails.

"3...2...1... begin!" Caster announced, and the battle royal began with smoky fireworks. It was utter pandemonium as moves went all over the place, Pokemon and their trainers going down in in seconds by the score.

"Hawlucha, use Brick Break!" Ash ordered. With a glowing hand, the flying/fighting type landed a super effective hit against someone's Sudowoodo's head, knocking the creature out instantly. A Polywrath tried to get a Dynamic Punch in from behind Hawlucha, but a Thunderbolt quickly shut that down as the water/fighting type croaked in agony as it was pushed into an adjacent Araquanid.

"Don't get yourself defeated so soon Ash!" Hau laughed. "I should be the one to beat you past the preliminaries!"

"Don't count me out either!" Misty told the boys. "Starmie, use Psychic!" The Mysterious Pokemon's red jewel glowed blue as it managed to hold a Salamence in place. It was about to use a Hyper Beam when Lillie helped out.

"Snowy, use Blizzard!" The white Fox Pokemon expelled a mighty blast of coldness and snow which managed to freeze the opposing Salamence, defeating it and the trainer.

"I'll show everyone how far I've come!" Ash smiled, but an incoming shadow wiped that off his face as he was caught in the shadow of a Gyarados. If that wasn't enough, a Skarmory was coming in with an Iron Head.

"Jump!" Ash pleaded. With amazing reflexes, the Wrestling Pokemon leapt over the incoming attack without looking, causing the Armor Bird Pokemon to bash into Gyarados. "Now use Flying Press!" Spreading his arms out wide, the flying/fighting type cascaded down and slammed into Skarmory along with Gyarados, delivering so much force he knocked the two out at once. Ash had to brace against the wind and dust produced by said attack.

"Hawlucha!" He sang in victory as he posed over the larger Pokemon.

"Haha, don't get overconfident buddy!" His trainer warned happily. As a Talonflame went on the attack, Gladion ordered,

"Dodge it, Zoroark!" The Illusion Fox Pokemon swiftly got out of the way of the Pokemon's Flare Blitz. "Use Dark Pulse!" Firing a barrage of black and purple rings, they exploded against the Scorching Pokemon's back, reducing it into a defeated bird dinner. However, he was inturrputed when Hawlucha and Ash were thrown back from a stray attack, landing on their backs. But they were able to get up, albiet with a few groans, still able to fight. "Ash." The emo said his name, getting the trainer's attention.

"Gladion? So you too made it, huh?"

"Yes. I'm stronger than ever. And I'm expecting you've reached new heights too." Ash smirked.

"Yeah." From behind him though, a Primape was about to unleash some Close Combat onto Hawlucha, along with a Clawitzer trying to sneak against Zoroark.

"Acrobatics/Flamethrower!" Both Pokemon managed to catch the sneaking Pokemon off guard with their speed, as they were able to oneshot both in the blink of an eye. The two landed back to back of their opposite trainer, nodding in acknowledgment of each other.

"You'd better not lose this early." Gladion told his rival. He only grinned.

"Same to you." The two ran past each other, getting back into the fray. Misty and Lillie found themselves facing off against two trainers with a Magmortar and Electivire, one each having a type advantage to Snowy and Starmie respectively.

"Starmie, Hydro Pump!" Form the top of its star shaped body, the Mysterious Pokemon generated a powerful stream of water.

"Counter with Thunder Punch!" Electivire's master commanded. With a charged up fist, it punched the incoming attack, which pushed it back, but not by more than a few inches as the electricity traveled through the Hydro Pump.

"Snowy, use Ice Beam!" Lillie requested to help Misty. The Fox Pokemon proceeded to freeze the water, encasing the Thunderbolt Pokemon's fist in ice.

"Now use Psychic!" With the pillar of ice glowing blue, the electric type yelped when it inadvertendy hit Magmortar with said ice, breaking the pillar apart as the Blast Pokemon groaned from the impact.

"Now use Blizzard!" Blasting the two with a powerful ice move, the two Pokemon became frozen over defeated.

"Alright!" Both girls cheered with a fist bump.

"Alright Raichu, use Focus Blast!" Hau yelled as his tail surfing Mouse Pokemon formed a big blue ball of fighting energy, and used it to defeat a tired Metagross with a powerful explosion, ending the competition as the top 16 have been determined.

"And that concludes our qualifying round!"

"That's it?" Ash asked, but as the realization set in, he grew cheerful as he complimented his Pokemon. "We did it Hawlucha! We're the best!" He and the Wrestling Pokemon posed in victory.

"Thanks a lot Raichu! Couldn't have done it without you!" Hau laughed as he hugged his loyal Mouse Pokemon whom appreciated the attention.

"Snowy, you battled so well!" Lillie praised as she snuggled with Ninetales while Misty patted her Starmie.

"Beautiful form Starmie. We sure showed them grace with power."

"So we all made it through." Ash laughed.

"Yeah, but eventually, we'll each have to fall until there's only one. But right now I'm too excited!" Hau shouted along with Raichu.

"Let's give it our all!" Lillie agreed.

"May the best trainer win!" Misty added in.

"Yeah!" They all yelled at once. Once they had their Pokemon healed up and had dinner, an announcement from Caster came on from every tv.

"Thank you all for waiting! I'm now very happy to announce our line up for round 1 of the main event!" As Caster listed off names, there were two that shocked them. Of the eight matches, one was Misty vs Hau, and Lillie vs Gladion!"

"Are you kidding me?! Right out of the gate?!" Hau gasped. "It's a sibling battle!" Misty noticed the blonde girl looked pale with a distant gaze and a slight frown.

"Hey, are you okay?" The redhead asked. Realizing she was being asked something, Lillie snapped out of her gaze.

"Oh, sorry. I'm just... I'm just worried Gladion will beat me. And hard. It's like my journey to prove myself was denied once I learned who I'm facing against. He's trained more than me, and he's likely much stronger. Too strong." All three looked at her sympathetically. Though Misty was able to give her this advice along with a hand on her left shoulder.

"Lillie, it's alright. This isn't the end of your journey. Win or lose, you'll show everyone how far you've come. And with Gladion, you just have to show him your spirit. I think that's all you need to make him proud." Unbeknownst to them, Gladion was around the corner, listening to their conversation. She didn't need to prove herself to him. For Gladion, he was already proud with how much she's grown compared to before he left his family. Closing his eyes, he walked off. Lillie's eyes teared up, before she wiped them away and smiled with gratitude.

"Thank you Misty. I'll give it my best."

"That's all we're asking." Ash told her. "And we're certainly proud of you."

"Yeah! You're so awesome!" Hau complimented her. All this praise was starting to overwhelm the poor girl, as she started to cry out of gratitude. Ash hugged her, along with Misty, finally with Hau. No matter what comes their way, all of them will give all they've got.

A/N: Alright the ending might feel a bit cheesy but hey, I'm a bit rusty after not writing for a while. Anyway, prepare for my debut chapter of "Ash Journeys." I wonder if I should give it a more unique name? Like "Ash Ketchum: Pokemon World Master", or something like that? I don't know. Anyway, the next story will be the last adaptation of a Pokemon game. Maybe I'll do a mod game. I've heard Radical Red would be a good mod game to adapt. It's basically the first game with all the other gen mechanics and gen 2 characters added in. I'm not into mod games because they feel niche for me but it's like that one is the best in my opinion. But eventually, whether it's the next or after, I'm going to be moving on from Pokemon adaptations. Let me know in the reviews below of what you're thinking. Oh, and to answer, a guest reviewer's question, Pikachu is still in a coma. He's fine but since he's not important for this he won't wake up until pretty much everything is done in the game. Sorry, but in most my stories, he's not important.
