"Today has finally come! Very soon, we will finally have our Alola League's very first champion!" Caster announced as Ash and Hau were getting ready, before walking onto the field. "First onto the field is Ash Ketchum. Who would've thought that a first time trial-goer from the Kanto region would've made it as far as the finals?! And the trainer facing off against Ash is Hau Hoaloha! He became not only Ash's first friend of the Alola region, they became best friends who both went down the same path but different ways doing it! Now we'll see who has what it takes to become the champion! Let's all watch as the final match is about to begin!"

"The final match is a six-on-six!" Professor Kukui started to explain the rules. "Give it your all and make it a fair battle!"

"Right!" Both trainers said as they sent out their first Pokemon.

"Raichu, let's go!"

"Salamence, I choose you!" The two already determined even since yesterday how to start. This starting act was going to be not a bout of power, but speed. Electric Terrain vs Dragon Dance.

"Battle, begin!" Kukui shouted.

"Electric Terrain/Dragon Dance!" Both trainers shouted. The Mouse Pokemon started to charge up power while Salamence took to the skies and started to make this dance, glowing orange with power as he became stronger and faster. The electric/psychic type was eventually

"Don't stop dancing! Keep getting stronger!"

"Don't let that happen! Use Thunderbolt!" Raichu tried to attack with another blast of lightning, but because Hau spoke just a bit too long, Salamence had the chance to get even faster as it was able to barely evade the incoming attack, even with Raichu's former speed advantage. "No!"

"Yeah, now use Dragon Claw!" Ash commanded with confidence.

"Stop him with Psychic!" Raichu's eyes glowed red as it tried to stop Salamence's movements, with said Dragon Pokemon glowing red and the creature grunting from it. But like before, its speed and movement was too strong for even the electric/psychic attack as the incoming green aura claws were incoming with unstoppable force, the Mouse Pokemon paling in fear before being struck very hard, crying out in sheer pain before smashing into the ground, to Hau's gasping shock. Once it was revealed that Raichu was knocked out, Kukui ruled,

"Raichu is unable to battle! The winner is Salamence!" Hau soon returned his Pokemon and thanked him, before coming up with a new strategy. It was sooner than he was expecting, but he couldn't of anything better.

"Incineroar, let's go!" Sending out his fire/dark starter, Ash wondered what he had planned, until he started to perform poses for a Z-Move. "Alright Incineroar, let's try to beat this challenge! Use Malicious Moonsault!" Figuring he was using this to try and take out Salamence, Ash realized that he was doing this out of desperation. Salamence was fast enough to easily dodge it and just take him out as soon as the move ended, and take out the rest of his Pokemon with a solid sweep, that would deprive them both a meaningful battle. Unless it was down to the line, he wanted to beat Hau, not utterly crush him with no hope of winning, so he decided to even out the playing field.

"Salamence, use Brick Break!" Flying in a loopty-loop, the dragon/flying type let his wings glow white, long enough for Incineroar to have gained the Z-Power he needed to take a running start and jump high, reaching over Salamence. Spreading himself wide, the Heel Pokemon swandived towards his opponent surrounded by fire like an asteroid, while the Dragon Pokemon swerved up and soared like a missile, both colliding with such force a fiery explosion take place in mid-air, everyone needing to cover their ears from that in pain. From the smoke, two Pokemon fell until they crashed into the ground. Once he recovered, Professor Kukui groaned,

"Ow... both Pokemon are unable to battle! It's a draw!" Both trainers wordlessly withdraw their Pokemon, then threw out their next Pokemon, which were Bewear and Hawlucha.

"Flying Press/Double Edge!") They both ordered. Jumping up, the Wrestling Pokemon jumped and glowed with a white outline while Bewear also glowed as it began to run to build up momentum and energy, and with a giant leap, cracked the ground as the two Pokemon were on a direct collision course of each other. Delivering a punch, Bewear tried to overcome the power of Hawlucha's signature move but he wouldn't cave so easily even if the two moves were seemingly equal in power. The two dual fighting types pushed against each other until a small explosion pushed each other away, landing on their feet. The two stared at each other with a steely gaze and determination, before grunting and wincing from their pain and falling to the ground.

"Both Pokemon are unable to battle! It's a draw!"

"This is probably the closest Pokemon League I've ever seen." Misty commented. "It's not uncommon for there to be a double knock out somewhere in the later half, but to see three in the last two? Especially back to back of the last two? Ash and Hau are practically evenly matched."

"So what do you think will determine the winner?" Lillie asked her redhead friend. Misty hummed in contemplation.

"It's not skill, or power, but their judgment. A single mistake could prove who decisive winner is."

"Starmie, let's go!" Hau sent out his Mysterious Pokemon, which Misty helped him train along with her own Starmie once it evolved.

"Vikavolt, I choose you!" Sending out his Stag Beetle, he was sure he was going to have this be a complete win, but both Hau and Starmie were quicker.

"Use Psychic!" With its red gem in the center glowing brightly, the water/psychic type flexed it's special powers, and even with having a type advantage of being part bug, Vikavolt buzzed rather painfully as it was ragdolled around the arena, bashing into the ground several times. Ash watched helplessly as Vikavolt was thrown to the ground, struggling to levitate back up.

"Alright! Let's wrap this up!" Hau cheered. "Use Ice Beam!" This was Ash's chance!

"Vikavolt, use Thunderbolt!" Ash pleaded. Both Pokemon started to fire up their own attacks, and the two did release them at the same time which clashed in the middle, two powerful attacks pushing against each other. Thankfully though, the Thunderbolt was proving to be more powerful as it pushed back Ice Beam. Hau could only watch in shock at his mistake as his Pokemon couldn't escape the incoming electrical attack before being subject to an explosion, causing the purple starfish to flip around, roll around on the ground, then fell onto its back, the gem in the center blinking in defeat.

"Starmie is unable to battle! The winner is Vikavolt!" Hau moaned from hearing that from Professor Kukui. He should've used Psychic again, given it couldn't fight against it all that well. He'd have to be extra smart about this.

"Jolteon, let's go!" Sending out his evolved Eevee, his best defense against Hawlucha if the need came about, he ordered, "Use Discharge!" The Lightning Pokemon's fur sparked as the electric type released multiple bolts to strike the Sludge Pokemon, whom took it like a sponge, though not without visible flinching.

"Charge with Gunk Shot!" Moving forward, the rainbow colored Sludge Pokemon moved forward while firing random chunks of garbage at Jolteon.

"Dodge them, then use Discharge again!" Hopping from spot to spot, the Lightning Pokemon's reflexes were too fast for the incoming attacks before it fired another wave of electricity which shocked Muk again, the pain continuing to come.

"Lunge to use Crunch!" Using its mucky physiology, the Sludge Pokemon tried to envelope the electric type with his body to bite it, growling to be intimidating, but Hau had time to prepare.

"Protect!" Surrounding itself with a green force field, the dome was enveloped from the large liquid mass of Muk. "Now use Light Screen!" A yellow force field was projected over Muk, which was followed by his body falling down due to Protect running out, and using its poison and rock teeth to inflict it with lots of damage, before spewing it out, Jolteon utterly devasted by the experience of being smother and bitten by Muk.

"Jolteon is unable to battle! The winner is Muk!" Returning his Pokemon and returning it, Hau thought about his situation. He had one Pokemon left, while Ash had three while still capable of using a Z-Move. Even with Light Screen in effect and having the speed advantage over all of Ash's, it was questionable if he'd win before Light Screen wore off.

"Hey Ash?" Hau called out to his winning challenger.

"Yeah?" Ash then saw Hau adopt a smile.

"Something hit me, after all this time a while ago. You've always been my hero, Ash! You and your team are, I mean! This is the most intense battle we've had in a long time, and even if I haven't been expressing it, I've been having a blast! It's been amazing throughout!"

"Yeah, me too!" Ash agreed. "Your team would certainly give Gladion a run for his money, if not outright win!"

"Even if you win, I won't have felt like I lost, because you've made it fun all throughout, so now I'll give this everything I've got! Noivern, let's go!" Sending out his Sound Wave Pokemon, he took the first turn. "Use Boom Burst!" With his ears glowing white, the flying/dragon type fired a barrage of sound waves which pushed and rippled across Muk's body, to which he quivered and moaned until he was pushed back, grunting from splattering against the ground before losing consciousness.

"Muk is unable to battle! The winner is Noivern!"

"Muk, return!" Once he thanked his recalled Pokemon, he then sent out his water starter. "Primarina, I choose you!" Once the Soloist Pokemon was out, this would really determine who'd win.

"Boomburst, again!"

"Counter with Shadow Ball!" Singing into existence a ball of ghostly black energy, she fired it towards incoming sound waves, but it was barely able to keep the attack at bay before it exploded.

"Use Air Slash!" Slicing through the smoke came blades of white wind energy which bombarded the water/fairy type, causing her to yell in agony, which caused her hair to also come loose from the blades due to the pearls keeping it together falling off. Once the attack was finished, Hau continued. "Use Boom Burst!" The Soloist Pokemon was soon blasted by a follow up attack of sound which pushed her back and over, flipping her over her back before landing on her front, her hair blanketing the water/fairy type in her lucious cyan locks.

"Alright Primarina, now it's time to strike back!" Ash encouraged his Pokemon as he started to perform his well-practiced Z-move, to which it empowered his starter as she powered up, both from the Z-Power and her ability Torrent.

"Boom Burst!" Hau pleaded, needing to win this if possible, but the Soloist Pokemon zoomed foward past the blast to create a Z-move.

"Hydro Vortex!" Ash yelled as Primarina went fast and powerful around Noivern while creating an aquatic tornado, to which the torrents and being slammed by Primarina dealt it series damage despite being part dragon. The Hydro Vortex soon exploded, with Primarina landing on her tail like she won, despite Noivern being badly battered. "Now, finish this up with Moonblast!"

"Counter with Boom Burst!" His ears glowing white, he shot shock waves towards a pink orb that the water/fairy type created before launching it at the flying/dragon type, to which the attacks clashed. However, due to the pink attack being more powerful and Noivern weakned by the Z-Move, Moonblast was able to push back the Boom Burst, which Noivern was too weak to evade. The attacks soon exploded against the Sound Wave Pokemon, which caused the Pokemon to screech as it fell, crashing onto the ground, defeated. Professor Kukui, Hau, Misty, Lillie and Ash were silent as they saw what just happened. Kukui was able to smile quickly through as he raised his hand up.

"Noivern is unable to battle! So the winner is Ash Ketchum, making him the champion!" The crowd cheered after having witnessed such a battle never seen in Alola before.

"And that's it! After the battle to end all battles here in Alola, one trainer stands above all as the first Alolan champion! And that trainer is Ash Ketchum!"

"Ash won it all!" Misty celebrated.

"He's our champion!" Lillie cheered. "They were both so awesome!" The two girls hugged and jumped up and down.

"Way to go Ash! I'm so proud of you!" Delia shouted to her son in extreme joy and pride.

"Haha, congratulations Ash!" Hau went to his best friend, after returning and thanking his Pokemon. He even laughed when he saw Ash had a look of complete stupor on his face, like he hadn't processed what happened. "Come on then, wave to the crowd! Let's keep moving forward together!" Once it finally clicked that he won, Ash began cheering and wooping as he shook Hau's hand and waved to everyone with extreme enthusiasm.

"Thanks! That was so much fun Hau! That was an awesome battle!"

"It sure was! Good thing you didn't use Nebby or Necrozma!"

"I know right! That would've been so unfair. At least they got to watch from Lusamine's island from the TV."

"It's funny, I have all these mixed up feelings inside me. It was so fun and frustrating and just... yup! It was just awesome, really!"

"Amazing! You two were simply amazing!" Professor Kukui walked up to them, with Primarina by his side as she hadn't been returned yet. "Congrats cousin! You're a champion we can all be proud of! I told you right, back then on Mount Hokulani? Man, this was the best Pokemon League I could've ever started in Alola! And everyone around the world knows that too! It's always been my dream! And right here, right now, it's finally come true! And it's all thanks to you and your Pokemon Ash!" Ash gave a grin just as big as the professor's.

"Haha, thanks Professor! I couldn't have done this without you and my friends supporting me since the beginning!"

"I'm so happy I could see such a fiery hot battle right here where my dreams came true! And now Ash Ketchum, first ever Champion of the Alola Pokemon League, it's about time we immortalize you in the Hall of Fame!"

After having put his Pokemon into the machine which recorded his team so that everyone would know who won the first ever Pokemon League of Alola, there was a later ceremony in the night. Ash followed Professor Kukui towards the stage, that's where he saw four people; Olivia, Acerola, Molayne and... a girl in white and light blue golfer clothes he didn't recognize.

"Professor, who're they?" He asked him.

"Those are your new Elite Four. I picked them out myself. I considered having you battle them after winning whoever was in the finals, but then I realized that wouldn't have felt special as what happened today and this moment. So you can battle them later to test them. The girl on the far left is Kahili White. She's a professional golfer and a flying type specialist."

"Oh, I see." As they approached the stage, Caster continued to announce.

"As our many talented and wonderful participants look on, Professor Kukui himself will give the championship trophy to our big winner Ash Ketchum!" Once they were on the stage, Kahuna Hala walked up with the trophy, handed to Kukui, then handed it to Ash.

"Congratulations. You deserve it." The professor told his champion.

"Thank you so much!"

"Hey, if you'd like, we could have a battle tomorrow." Kukui whispered into his ear. "I've been doing my own training too, and I want to see how close we are."

"Sure, I'd like that." Ash nodded. Walking up to the edge of the stage, he held up his trophy high.

"Congratulations Ash!" All his friends, and everyone else cheered.

A/N: Whoo, that was exhausting. Honestly that may have been my least favorite finals. I don't know why, but my passion for it felt like the weakest. Still, I gave it the effort it deserved, and I think I did a well enough job. After a battle with Kukui is supposed to be the Rainbow Rocket stuff, right? Maybe that will inspire me better. Maybe it's because I'm also doing the 'Let's Go Ash!' story as well? I don't know. Let me know what you are thinking of.
