Here is part five. Now it's time for the really bad decisions to begin. Something tells me they should have thought this plan out more.

Differences in this chapter: Most everything.

Dalla and Loki took the Bifrost to Jotunheim. She had brought an extra thick cloak this visit. With her attire specially designed to keep out the temperatures of the ever-frozen realm. With it reaching extreme colds lower than those reached on Midgard, she had to have some very special garments.

"You did not need to come, sister," said Loki as they carefully walked back to the castle of Laufey.

"I know, but we are in this together," she said. "Besides, if they know you and I are teaming up, they stand a better chance."

"Very well."

"Besides, you are the current king. As your guard, this is my job. Kind of forced to be with you everywhere, within reason."

"You are also my adviser."

"And I'm advising you to get on with it."

Loki chuckled, but both became serious as they entered the castle. They stepped up to the throne with confidence.

"Kill them," said Laufey.

"After all we have done for you," said Loki in a dark tone.

"So, you are the ones who showed us the way into Asgard."

"That was a bit of fun, really."

"To ruin our brother's big day," Dalla continued, her voice mimicking Loki's.

"And to protect the realm from his idiotic rule for a while longer," Loki finished.

"I will hear you," Laufey said, contemplating the possibilities.

Dalla stayed back as Loki began to reveal their plan. "I will conceal you and a handful of your soldiers, lead you into Odin's chambers, and you can slay him where he lies."

"Why not kill him yourselves?"

Dalla and Loki scoffed. "We suspect that the Asgardians would not take kindly to a king who murdered his predecessor with his guard. Once Odin is dead, I will return the Casket to you and you can return Jotunheim to all its… uh… glory."

"And you, fire wielder?"

Dalla stepped up next to her brother and said, "Me? Oh, I agree with the plan set forth. You will have no trouble with me. I will be busy elsewhere, away from you and your soldiers. Even if we were to meet, I can conveniently… miss."

"I… agree."

Loki and Dalla returned to Asgard shortly after. Heimdall looked at them, a quizzing look in his eye.

"What troubles you, Gatekeeper?" Loki asked.

"I turned my gaze upon you in Jotunheim," Heimdall said, "but could neither see you nor hear you. You both were shrouded from me like the Frost Giants that entered this realm."

"Perhaps your senses have weakened after your many years of service," suggested Dalla as she and Loki moved closer and around the dais.

"Or perhaps someone has found a way to hide that which they do not wish me to see."

"You have great power, Heimdall. Did Odin ever fear you?" Loki inquired.

"No."

"And why is that?" Dalla further interrogated.

"Because he is my king and I am sworn to obey him."

"He was your king and you are sworn to obey me now," Loki stated. "Yes?"

Dalla's hand rested on Eldr as Heimdall's face fell before saying, "Yes."

Dalla and Loki stormed out as Loki said, "Then you will open the Bifrost to no one until I have repaired the damage my brother has done."

They made their way to the Weapon's Vault. Loki used the king's staff to summon the Destroyer. The giant robot walked out to meet them.

"Make sure our brother does not return," Loki ordered. "Destroy everything."

They watched the Destroyer leave. They turned back to the Casket. Loki took it and hid it away for use later. Together, Loki, Dalla, and the Destroyer made their way to the Bifrost and Heimdall. He stood at the building entrance.

"Tell me, Loki, Dalla, how did you get the Jotuns into Asgard?" Heimdall asked.

"You think the Bifrost is the only way in and out of this realm?" Loki asked with a sneer.

"There are secret paths between the worlds to which even you," Dalla smirked, "with all your gifts, are blind."

"But I have need of them no longer," Loki finished, "now that I am king. And I say for your act of treason, you are relieved of your duties as Gatekeeper, and no longer citizen of Asgard."

"Then I need no longer obey you," Heimdall said.

Dalla stepped in front of Loki, blocking a couple of blows but she suddenly ducked as Loki pulled out the Casket, freezing Heimdall before he could make his blow. Dalla moved out from under the now frozen ex-Gatekeeper, careful not to touch the ice. Loki put the Casket away once more.

They sent the Destroyer to Midgard and returned to the throne room. They watched what the Destroyer was doing. Part of Dalla wanted to tell Loki to keep the Destroyer from messing up the home of her soldier. However, remember him caused her to straighten your back. Her soldier was no longer alive, so Midgard was emptier. It should not and did not matter if a few buildings were destroyed to ensure Loki's reign.

They witnessed the Destroyer go into a town, blowing up buildings and cars. They also saw their so-called friends, clearly siding with Thor and planning on fighting. Idiots, Dalla thought.

Though, it was hilarious when Volstagg was launched towards the Destroyer only to be knocked back. Just as he was about to be turned to ash, something stabbed the metal being. It took a moment to figure out how to turn the Destroyer on its attacker, and neither Loki nor Dalla were surprised to see Sif, who moved out the way for a blast just in time. Dalla enjoyed watching the dirt spray into the sky with every blast at Sif and the Warriors Three.

As soon as Thor was seen, the Destroyer focused on him. Every blast was directed at him. The little mortals with him stood no chance. It was hard to watch people being put in danger, but her pain kept her in place.

As if sensing her struggle, Loki said, Sister, you are not suddenly going soft on me, are you?

I have not stopped you, brother, she said. Remembering my soldier and what Thor and Odin did when I needed my family is enough to keep me from moving. I will not waver.

Good. You will get your wish soon.

She paused for a moment. Loki…

Yes, Dalla?

I will never betray you. You were the only one there when I was destroyed. To betray you after that… I can't. I owe my life to you.

And what you ask in return is so small to what you deserve. You do not owe me anything, sister. I gladly do this for you.

For us both. Finish off Thor and his odious friends. Secure your place as king, brother.

They watched as the mortals and Asgard's "finest" warriors begin to retreat. But then Thor began walking towards the Destroyer as it began another attack.

Thor said, "Brother, however I have wronged you, whatever I have done that has led you to do this, I am truly sorry. Sister, for how I treated your grief and everything since, I regret every moment." Dalla and Loki watched in contemplative silence. "But these people are innocent, taking their lives will gain you nothing. So take mine, and end this."

Loki put his hand on the throne's arm, stopping the Detroyer's attack. Thor got a small smile. But Dalla watched as Loki stood up, the Destroyer then turning and hitting Thor hard enough to send him flying. He grunted in pain and Dalla had to look away, a flash of a memory playing before her eyes. She looked back and saw her twin laying on the ground.

You do not need to be here for this, Dalla, said Loki. I know it upsets you.

Just some memories, she assured. It will pass.

The Destroyer started to leave when a loud sound could be heard. Both siblings watched as Mjollnir flew through the air. All the suppressed anger in Loki and Dalla surfaced and was channeled into the Destroyer as it renewed its attack on a now healed Thor. In the middle of a tornado, Thor destroyed the Destroyer.

Time for the Jotuns to appear, Dalla said.

Let's get to the Bifrost, Loki said.
