Chapter 16: Anger.
"What is going on here?" The blue haired beauty said with a mixture of both irritation and anger as she saw the two childish ladies chasing around Bell.
"This is none of your business Shakti-kun so just stand aside"
"Hestia-sama is right, please just leave us alone"
"How can I ignore this if you are already causing a ruckus early in the morning? Guys, arrest these two, they will be penalized accordingly for the chaos they've caused and for the few food stands they destroyed while chasing little rookie" Shakti ordered to her fellow Ganesha Familia members.
"Yes ma'am!" four of them went to Lily and Hestia who tried to escape but failed to due to being overpowered by the level 3 adventurers.
"Umm... You don't need to do that Shakti-san, it's my fault anyway"
"How come it is your fault? I heard them earlier shouting that you went on a date with Alxa last night, what's wrong with that?"
"Nothing?"
"Then you've done nothing wrong."
"Y-Yes! Um... By the way, thanks for saving me from Kami-sama and Lily, Shakti-san." Bell smiled innocently which earned him a nod and a small smile from the fair lady.
"Don't worry about it, they'll be out of the jail right away after a few minutes anyway as long as they behave. I'll see you around, I've got a lot of things to do today so please don't cause anymore ruckus okay?"
"Yes. Be careful and good luck on whatever you're going to do"
Bell and Shakti bid farewell and went to their own destination.
Bell went back to the pub where he was met by a very worried Mikoto who's on the verge of crying.
"Bell-dono... I'm glad that you're alive... I'm sorry for saying things like that casually..."
"It's okay Mikoto-san, you didn't do anything wrong so don't apologize." Bell assured her
"He's right. Lil'Lily and Hestia-sama are just over acting. What's wrong with Bell going out with the person he likes?"
As if on cue, Bell suddenly blushed madly after what Welf just said and after remembering that they've kissed last night.
"W--We're not g--going out... R--really! Y--yeah we went on a d--aaaahh!!! Please spare me!!!!!!!"
"Aaaannnd... He ran off again... I wonder where he's going this time..."
Twilight Manor.
Aki's POV.
I'm currently eating my second breakfast for this morning.
Even though this is my second already, I'm eating very slow that even Gareth-san already left after eating his tenth plate of food.
"Aki... You aight? Ya look like a zombie" Our deity asked me as she walks towards me.
"I'm alright Loki. I just didn't sleep well last night..."
"For real? Ya look like ya didn't sleep at all y'know"
Loki keeps pestering me on what happened and why but luckily, Riveria-san arrived dragging Loki out of the scene.
"Stop it. Just let her eat in peace"
And with that I'm left alone again in the dining room.
After finishing my food, it's already almost noon and I'm feeling a bit sleepy now thanks to my lack of rest last night. Suddenly, I saw the captain who's currently holding a scroll and it looks like he's looking for someone.
Tione saw him and dashed towards his direction.
"Caaaaaptaaaaaaaiin!!!"
"Oh! Tione, perfect timing. I'm currently looking for someone who could deliver this to Bell Cranel's home." He said holding out the paper towards her.
"What is this?"
"A request for alliance with them. I know that we were close with their familia but we still need this to officially became their ally. So that we can openly request a help or help them whenever they want or we want." The captain finished and it looks like he's about to go back to his office but he saw me and asked if I could accompany Tione.
Of course, I said yes and we were about to set off but Tiona saw us and tagged along. And now, we three are now headed to the Hearth Fire Manor.
"WOW! IT LOOKS GOOD NOW!!!" Tiona exclaimed as soon as we arrived in front of it.
"Yeah, and for some reason, it feels like we're very welcome here. It's weird but also not. I can't explain it." Tione added.
"That's true. Gone is the uneasiness you feel whenever you step in front of this home. And was now replaced by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It also has this luxurious yet simple living vibes""You guys are right... Anyway, let's try and give the contract to him so that we can go back early."
""Right"" They answered in unison.
We rang the doorbell and waited for a few seconds for a person to come out.
Mikoto-san was the one who greeted us and welcomed us in.
"Oh! Welcome, what can we do for you guys? Would you like to come inside for a bit?"
As we saw no problem in it. We agreed to her offer and followed her inside.
We arrived at the hall way which was now illuminated by the a chandelier.
The bunch of Apollo's statue is now gone and it was now a spacy hall leading towards the living room of the Familia.
"Hestia-sama, we have some guests here, I'll guide them in!" The black haired beauty in front of us said as we arrived at the door at the end.
"Oh! Please do Mikoto-kun, and thanks as always!" The goddess inside replied.
She opened the door and we were greeted by a very warm and cozy atmosphere. It feels like you're inside your own home.
"Uwah! A-Autumn-kun!? Why are you here!?"
"Hestia-sama, we're just here to talk to you and give you this-wait. Where is the contract for the alliance!?" Tione panicked as she couldn't find the scroll that the captain handed over to her.
"Oh! Tiona! I remember! You took it from me to take a look at it! Give it to them now!"
"Eh? I don't have it. Maybe I dropped it somewhere? Ehehehe..."
SIGH
"I have the contract with me because I saw Tiona earlier dropping it on the way here. I'm glad that I'm two steps behind them. I'll probably won't tell Tione because her sister deserves some scolding for forgetting something this important."
After a few good shouting. Tione finally calmed down and apologized to Hestia-sama for being rude and noisy.
"It's okay, I kinda understand you, because before, Bell-kun is also kind of forgetful in those matters."
As if on cue, the person mentioned suddenly made an appearance and entered to the door behind me to my surprise.
"Oh? How did you know thar I'm here already?"
Our eyes met and in that instant, both of us started to blush furiously and even the dark circles around my eyes disappeared.
"B-B-Bell... Hello..." I greeted shyly as I avert my gaze away from his ruby eyes.
"Hello... Aki-san..."
"HEEEEHHHH... NOW THAT YOU, THAT FLIRTY CAT AND MIKOTO-KUN ARE HERE... LET'S TALK ABOUT 'THAT' SHALL WE...???"
Normal POV.
"HIIHHH!!!" Bell screamed as he felt the aura of his goddess changing.
"W-what is it???"
"Don't play dumb on me.. You know it... That little date you had with this slut?"
Hearing someone call her fellow executive a slut angered Tione so much that she wanna literally punch the life out of Hestia.
After hearing what she just said, Welf who just got back after looking at his small hut in the back yard also joined the fray.
"Take that back!" Tione shouted angrily.
"That's too far Hestia-sama." Welf joined.
"Hestia-sama, I can't believe you just said that..." Mikoto said with a sad look.
The air in the room was tense. Luckily, Lily was running an errand and she will be away for the rest of the day.
The tension was broken when they heard the door bell ringing for the second time today.
"I'll go take a look at it. Welf-dono, please calm down."
Mikoto went out and to her surprise. Hermes, Asfi and a new face she never saw before was standing in front of the gate.
"Yo! You look beautiful as always Mikoto-chan! We have some present for you and your familia. To celebrate the excellent renovation that Gobniu did!" He smiled happily.
"Not good... The atmosphere inside is clearly not good... Should I tell them that somethings wrong? Well... I can't lie to a god so I should just tell them that it's not a good time to do this..."
"Umm... I'm very sorry Hermes-sama! But apparently something wrong is going on inside that I can't say to you... And it's not good to hold a celebration with the very tense atmosphere so please just come back another day" The far eastern girl bowed as he begged the god of negotiation.
"I can clearly tell that you're not lying. But can I come inside with you? Don't worry about Asfi and Lulune here. They won't come along"
"Hermes-sama!?" The blue haired princess exclaimed in surprise as the orange haired god started to push him away.
"Asfi. Please take this back home. We'll celebrate with them another time but today, I'll just help them with their little problem inside got it?" He whispered and winked to her which irritated her a little bit but still obeyed him regardless.
"Fine. Just don't do anything stupid while I'm away okay?"
"Got it. You hear that Mikoto-chan? Let's go inside and let me see if I can help"
Mikoto and Hermes went inside and after entering the main door, Hermes could feel a strong bloodlust coming in the other door at the end of his path. This alarmed him because he could detect both Hestia and Bell as well as Welf inside the living room.
"Let's enter"
As soon as they reached the end. Mikoto opened the door and now, Hermes could see the 3 person who's not a part of Hestia Familia.
"Tiona-chan, Tione-chan and Aki-chan too. What's going on here?" He asked with seriousness in his voice.
"Oh! That midget goddess just called our friend Aki a SLUT for no reason." Tione said furiously.
"Calm down Tione"
"Tiona's right, you should calm down and Bell already apologized on his behalf" The accused girl Aki said while holding Tione's clenched fist.
"Hestia, is that true?" Hermes asked.
A new voice rang out. It is a very familiar matured voice of a female god whom they recognized as soon as they heard it especially Welf.
"Hestia, why did you do that? Explain yourself now." The red haired goddess of forge entered the scene.
"It's true anyway. She just flirts around MY Bell-kun from time to time! And last night as if that wasn't enough! She took Bell and sneaked out to solo him! If that wasn't clear enough, she-"
SLAP
"Uwah." Mikoto had her jaw dropped by the actions that Hephaestos committed.
Aki on the other hand is on the verge of crying. She's just trying to fight the urge to as you can see her tears building up on her eyes.
"You know what, you're probably a lot worse than my dear friend Erebus at this point. He destroyed Orario back then, commanding all of his childrens to do all kinds of horrific things to anyone. But you know one thing that he didn't do? He never DICTATED a single member of his familia to do those things. He said it himself. "I wanna do it and it seems like these childs under my care also wants to see everything burned into oblivion so we did it". That's what he said... And you know. We gods can give them power, shelter and care. We can teach them the right things to do but we cannot ABSOLUTELY dictate them. Why? Because we gave them the freedom to do everything they want. We don't want humans to become our puppet. We want them to make their own decision. Choose their own path and do everything they want. Why? Because we love them"
"Hermes is right. You know that all well but look at what are you doing right now"
"But I love Bell-kun, that's why I-"
"You clearly don't!" Bell finally spoke. This surprised everyone. They never expected him to look angry like this.
"I'm not a stupid kid anymore! The moment I stepped in to the dungeon, I already became an adult! I know that I'm immature but I also know that I can take full responsibilities on my actions! Who are you to stop me from being friendly on someone!? You don't have the right to restrict me on who to interact with! I can choose my own friends...! Not only that but you only view me as SOMETHING NOT SOMEONE! You treat me as your possession and not as your child! Like I'm your most prized jewelry that you don't want anyone to touch!" He screamed.
"Bell-kun that's not t-"
"It's true!! You treat me as something that cannot be left alone or someone else might steal away! And who are you to call one of my treasured friends a slut!? I've had enough! I'm leaving this Familia. No. I'm leaving both this Familia and city!"
Bell dashed towards his room and picked up all of his belongings except for the Hestia Knife. Since the one who gave him that thing is the one who despised the most right now.
"Wait Bell-kun! Please don't leave me! I've already learned my lesson so please don't go! I beg you..."
"Learned your lesson? I don't think so. You gods never learned your lessons ever since. Because you have all the eternity to live. You never felt limited on acting the way that you want. And because time and age doesn't stop you. You keep doing things on your whim not minding if it's right or wrong. And never try to correct your mistakes. Only humans and demi-humans can understand what I'm saying because we have to ensure that every single decision we make in our life would be the best. That's it, remove my falna now. I'll just go back to my old village in the mountains and become a simple farmer there again." He said while exposing his back towards Hestia.
Hestia even though she didn't want to removed Bell's Falna.
"I'm leaving right away. Welf and Mikoto-san I'm sorry for leaving you behind but please take care of Lily. Hermes-sama and Hephaestos-sama. Thanks for everything and..."
He reached out for Aki who's stunned by his actions earlier.
"Aki-san... I know it's been a short... Very very very short time and I wish to spend more time with you but I'm sorry that I can't... Good bye... I will miss you..."
And with that. Bell left the Hearth Fire Manor and was now headed towards the northern main gate of Orario.
"Good bye to all of my friends. I'm sorry that I can't bid you all farewell personally but I'm just fed up on how things are going on around me. Everyone keeps treating me of either their toy to play around, a possession or their puppet... I'm really sorry. Please take care."

I've been busy ever since I got my new PC and installing every shit that I have in my old one (which exploded).
And I'm also busy playing Tekken 7 since Season 4 just got out and man o man! Kunimitsu is a waifu material and guess what! She's voiced by Saori Hayami! The voice actress of Ryu (Danmachi) and Yukinon (Oregairu) and many many many Best Girls in other series.
