Chapter 17.5: Aki's side.
Twilight Manor.
Normal POV.
Tiona, Tione and Aki entered their home. After Bell's departure, the cat girl have gone really quiet and have not spoken since then which alarmed Tione.
"Aki." She embraced her.
"I don't know what to say but I'm sure that you'll meet him again soon..."
After releasing her, she just went to her room she's sharing with Line.
Finn then arrived and saw the two with worried look on their faces.
"What's wrong?" He asked gently.
"I'm sorry captain but here..." Tione was the first to spoke, she then handed over to Finn the document they are supposed to deliver to Hestia Familia earlier when they went out.
"What happened?" He asked in surprise.
"You see..."
After telling him everything, Finn finally understood why they couldn't give them the alliance contract, because the person they want to be allied with is no longer in their Familia.
"I see... You don't have to apologize... Where is Aki?"
"She went upstairs, I think she went to her room..." Tiona finally spoke.
"I see... It's almost night... Could you please go find Riveria? Tell her everything that happened to you guys today as well as Aki's condition... She have the right to know this... Especially Bell's departure... I'm sorry but I'll go back to my office now to finish some works." He waved and exited as the two amazoness began their search for their familia's vice captain.
Eventually, they found her at their library reading some books about magecraft.
"Riveria?" Tione gently taps her shoulder to get her attention.
"Yes? Do you need something? You guys looked troubled." She said plainly.
"Um... You see... About Argonaut-kun..."
Tiona took a deep breath and told everything that happened to Riveria. This shocked her sister Tione because she memorized every little detail earlier including all that they said but it took way too long to tell her everything and it took an hour and a half befotr she finished.
"I see..." The high elf princess bit her lip and gripped her staff tightly as she absorbs every information Tiona said to her.
"Okay... I'll go see Aki, so you two can relax now and take a rest. It's been a long day for you." She pats their shoulders before going off.
The twins noticed something almost phenominal.
As Riveria walked passed them, they saw tears on her eyes.
"Am I dreaming?" Tiona muttered.
"Of course not..." Tione replied.
Aki Line's room.
Aki just stood there motionless at their balcony, Line tried to talk to her and she just smiles and nods to whatever she says.
Worried, Line found a solution by bringing Riveria to her but to the healer's surprise, when she opened the door. She found the High elf standing right in front of her with her eyes hidden by her beautiful hair.
"Good evening Line. Can I go inside? I want to have a private conversation to Aki..." She just nodded and let Riveria in.
"Please Riveria-san, talk to Aki..." She bowed before leaving the two alone.
The room was filled with silence and emptiness. And a beautiful girl standing in the middle while basking in the moonlight.
Few seconds have passed until Riveria finally spoke to the girl who's just looking outside with an empty eyes.
"Aki... I heard what happened earlier from Tiona and Tione..." The high elf said weakly.
Aki finally decided to face her and talk. Turning around to meet her emerald eyes with her own gray ones.
"I see... You know what Riveria-san? I just realized something when he bid farewell to me... During the time we spent together until our sweet but final moments last night... Something that I did regret not realizing sooner and telling him... But now... All I can do is c-c-cry...! RIVERIA-SAAN!!"
Unable to hold herself back, Aki ran over to Riveria. Crying as if there is no tomorrow and burrying her face on her chest.
Riveria unable to resist her motherly instinct hugged her tightly while patting her head, unknown to her that she's also beginning to cry but not as much as the girl in her arms.
Riveria led her to her bed to where they sat down until she calms down which didn't happen until two hours later.
But after crying so much and drying her eyes. The cute cat girl fell asleep in the elf's grasp.
"Good grief... Well you deserve a good rest... You can come in now Line!" She called out to the girl who's standing behind the door.
Line came in with teary eyes and as she closed the door, she rushed to the other bed which is hers and sat in front of Riveria.
"Riveria-san, could you please tell me the whole story between that boy and Aki? I don't care if I stayed up all night..." She really want to help to ease Aki's pain that's why she's asking
"Okay... I don't know if you've already interacted with him but I bet you knew that he's not a bad person right?"
"Yes..."
"Then go back to the prologue and read everything again"
"YES!"
(Just joking... HAHAHA!!)
The night have passed and the morning came.
Riveria just finished telling the whole story to the now sleeping girl while she's (Riveria) still holding the cat girl's hands.
"Mmm..." Aki then slowly woke up with a soft moan.
Riveria noticed it and slowly reached out to her hair and smiled to the sleeping beauty.
"Wake up princess, it's already morning" Riveria said while smiling down to her fellow executive.
"Right... Said the princess herself..." She slowly got up and noticed that Riveria's still holding her left hand.
"What is it..?"
"Could you please tell me what is it that you just realize when Bell left yesterday..?"
"Uwah! W-w-why are you asking this now!?" The said princess now blushed furiously as she averts her gaze to the mage.
"You already know the answer so what's the point on asking me!?" her shouting earned her a light smack to her head from the high elf.
"Sh! Line is still sleeping!"
"Sorry..."
"Alright... Now tell me..." a teasing grin appeared on her face as she continues to press on the matter earlier.
"Alright already... I-I... I love him... You happy now...?" The cat girl pouted.
"Took you long enough... Anyway how are you now?"
"I'm okay now... After finally letting out everything and admitting that I really do love him... I think I can move on no-"
"Not so fast Aki" Riveria suddenly interrupted her and smiled while looking at the confused girl.
"What is it?" Aki asked.
"You can't move on yet because I can feel it... We'll meet him again sooner than we thought..." She smiled again and looked at the radiant sun.
"Aren't you being too optimistic?"
"That's the power of love" She just said.
"!!" Remembering everything that happened. She just realized that she confessed her own feelings in front of one of Bell's lovers carelessly.
"Ahahaha... I'm just joking you know"
"Hah..."
"It's just a women's intuition" She winked and left the room with the sleeping Line and the confused Aki.
"She's right... I shouldn't just give up just because he retired as an adventurer... I'm sure he'll find himself returning to this city again and meeting everyone... Why? Because Orario is the center of the world and every path leads here after all!"

just finished this shit.
I just finished watching Danmachi s3 episode 8. And man o man Wiene's revival scene is so f*cking amazing! As well as the fight with Asterius!
But it also made me realize how boring Aiz is compared to the other characters... Her fighting scenes are the only redeeming thing she has and her back story as the daughter of Aria and Albert but her personality sucks... But if I have to choose between Hestia, Lili and her? I'd rather choose her.
It's not bad being bland and boring... I just had enough of anime girls like her... How I wish the main heroine is a more interesting girl like Riveria or Asfi (Since they are both princess of their respective kingdoms) and they have quite a good back stories, funny yet serious personalities and lovely faces.
ANYWAY!

EDIT: So I just finished the christmas event in Danmemo and it basically almost killed my motivation to ship Bell and Aki but don't worry, I won't stop, even if it's kinda difficult.
The event contained some comical scene where Lefiya, Filvis, Ryu and Aki got drunk and made them say what they really want.
This led to Raul changing after hearing Aki saying that he's much more greater than what other people say, and he starts acting as a full fledge veteran adventurer.
But after them getting sobber, Aki ran away and Raul started chasing him and things happened, Aki said that she meant all of that and they said that their relationship is probably more than friends after all... And then Aki said that if she ever get into a romantic relationship with someone, it would rather be Raul than any other...
AND IT HURTS MAN!
LIKE SEEING YOUR GIRLFRIEND DATING SOMEONE IN FRONT OF YOU!
Yea... And because of that. ORARIO WILL KNOW PAIN!
