Aftermath. We get to see team and sibling dynamics before the Gods return to Asgard.
Also sorry for the late chapter. It's been a busy week.
Differences in this chapter: Think more in the lines of party banter.
Dalla woke to sounds of arguing a couple of hours later. She and Steve stretched before sitting up. Both blushed, realizing they had shared a bed, but thankful that they were still clothed.
The sound of glass breaking spurred them on. Everyone was at a window. Thor shoved Loki into the sofa and flew out. The only other one missing was…
"Where's Stark?" Steve asked.
"Loki and Tony argued," shrugged a bored looking Clint, "Loki threw him out the window."
"Damnit, Loki!" Dalla said.
"That's what Thor said."
"You could last a few hours without me holding your hand? Seriously?" Loki at least tried to look guilty but failed as a smile played on his lips as Dalla, of all people, chastised him. "We will be returning to Asgard in a few hours. Find a decent level of maturity between now and then."
"Perhaps I should stay on Midgard for a while and…" Loki began.
"You have me and Thor vouching for you with Father," Dalla interrupted. "That's not the issue and you know it. The real issue is that you threw a Midgardian man out of the window! I mean, whatever were you arguing about?"
"Thor and Loki saw you cuddling with Steve," Natasha said as Thor and Tony landed on the balcony. "Tony kept making it worse, Thor tried to think of good things, and Loki kept bringing up something about your 'soldier leaving you behind', and it escalated."
"Not that the man of iron didn't deserve it," said Thor, watching his sister get uncharacteristically flustered. "He insinuated that you and the Captain were…"
Before anyone knew what was happening or could stop her, Dalla had kicked Tony back through the window. Loki laughed, as did Clint and Natasha. Steve smiled, shaking his head.
"Seriously, Dalla?" Thor said before going after Tony again.
Dalla sat next to Loki before saying, "Thank you for sticking up for us, brother." He gave her a small smile. "But next time, I call the first shot. It's not as dramatic without glass breaking."
The shared a mischievous smile as Loki said, "There's my favorite sister."
"I'm your only sister, but you are still my favorite brother."
Thor landed with Tony and asked, "Will I never be the favorite, sister?"
"You're my favorite twin?"
Thor smiled, shaking his head. "At least it's something. Now, I know why Loki threw Stark, but why did you kick him? Our brother already defended your honor."
"And I'm getting tired of free falling out of my building, so for safety sake, I'm going to get a drink," Tony chimed in.
"Because I can defend my own honor," she said when she saw Thor wouldn't let it go, ignoring Tony altogether. "Besides, Steve is a gentleman. He would never…"
She saw the look in Steve's eye. She blushed, looking down shily. The way he looked at her made butterflies fill her stomach. Loki went up to Steve and pulled him aside as Thor kept trying to get Dalla to talk.
"What are your intentions toward my sister?" Loki asked bluntly.
Steve crossed his arms, flustered, as he said, "I… well, I'm… I'm not…"
Loki shook his head when Steve looked down. "Either you like her or you don't. But Dalla is more sensitive than even you realize." Steve looked up at Loki. "String her along or hurt her, and what I did in Germany, what happened here, will look like child's play. Now, we only have a few hours before we leave for Asgard. If you don't tell her now, you may never get that chance again. We do not know when we will return or if our father will allow her to."
"Wait, what do you mean, she might not come back?" Steve's voice was louder than he intended, drawing everyone's attention apart from Thor and Dalla. "Why wouldn't Dalla come back?"
"As Princess of Asgard, she is expected to make a fine match and marry a suitor of our father's choosing," Thor explained.
"He has since rescinded that," said Dalla. "At least, the marriage part. He almost didn't let me come this time. It took both Thor and our mother to convince him to allow it."
She got off the couch and went to as private a part of the balcony as she could get. Steve looked after her, the look on his face betraying how shattered he was.
"Well, Capsicle?" Tony asked. "You going to…?"
"We can take care of everything," said Natasha. "Thor, you will be needed to plead for Loki."
Everyone left, Steve going out to find Dalla, crying, the plant next to her on fire. He ignored it, wrapping his arms around her.
"I don't want you to go," Steve said.
She turned into him, hiding her face from him as she said, "I don't want to leave either."
He made her look at him. "So stay. We can catch up, I can finally take you dancing…"
"It was the express order of my father, Steve. I can no more ignore him than you could your president."
Before she knew what he was doing, his lips came crashing to hers, hesitant but loving. She all but melted in his arms. He had her pressed against the railing, but his hand tunneling through her hair and the one in the middle of her back kept her locked to him.
When they pulled apart, she breathlessly whispered, "I never thought…"
"You'd feel the same," he finished.
This time, when they kissed, passion and hunger reigned. Their tongues dueled with each other. For a brief moment, Dalla fought for dominance, but Steve ultimately won. He picked her up so that her legs were forced to wrap around him as he all but ran back to the bedroom.
Without breaking apart, they managed to get her armor and his suit off. He lay above her and looked down. She blushed and looked away.
"Don't do that, sweetheart," he said. "You have nothing to be bashful of. You're beautiful."
She turned back to him as his hand cupped her throbbing womanhood. She moaned so that he was swallowing the sound. He coated his finger with the juices leaking out of her before slowly sliding one into her. She broke away from his kiss, screaming out as he began to add a second finger and move them inside of her.
"Steve!" she begged. "Please!"
He shook his head, his hand pumping harder, and said, "Not until you're ready."
Her legs shook when he curled her fingers inside of her. She gripped the sheets, her back arching. She felt pressure building, reaching for it. Just as she was about to find relief, he pulled his fingers from her.
"Steve…" she gasped in frustration.
He bent down, his tongue replacing his fingers so that he had to hold her hips down and legs apart while he feasted on her sweet nectar. Just her unique flavor had him full and aching, his body needing to have her wrapped around him. But not until he knew he wouldn't hurt her.
He brought his hand to her swollen clit, teasing it so that she crashed into her orgasm hard. He helped her ride it out, lapping up her spicy cream. He kissed up her still quaking body before finding her mouth with his. Tasting herself on his tongue was unlike anything she had ever experienced before.
He didn't wait. He couldn't. He thrust into her hard so that her moans ran down his throat straight to his thrusting hips. He set a hard, deep, fast pace. Why did we ever wait for this? Steve and Dalla thought together.
Knowing it could be the last they saw of each other for some time, Steve held out on his own release, sending her orgasm after orgasm until she couldn't tell where one started and one ended. Still, she begged for him to keep going, knowing their time was running out.
"I… I can't…" she gasped out, now on her knees and elbows as Steve pumped into her from behind.
He pulled her up, his hand finding her clit once more as he said, "Together." She shuttered, the command in his voice evident and she loved it, clenching around him tighter than before. "Now."
She screamed his name as he filled her, not wanting to leave the haven of her body. They collapsed to the bed in each other's arms. She moved to face him as aftershocks rocked her. She didn't let him leave her core, wanting the memory lodged deep with in her, just as he was.
"I'm going to miss you," she said.
He kissed her and said, "Me, too, sweetheart." He looked into her gray eyes, and the words deep in his soul spilled out of him. "I love you."
She smiled, kissing him softly. "I love you too."
