Chapter 14: His Revenge

"Standing in front of a graveyard?! Don't act like you're paying any respects to the dead!"

Empena chuckled at the audacity of Kian's comment. "Everyone should pay their respects…even if you do not know them. But I'm afraid I am wrong about…this one."

She turned around sharply and brandished her 10ft golden scythe. "I'll pay my respects over your grave, someone I, unfortunately, do know."

Kian chuckled and it slowly progressed into manic laughter. "You won't get the chance to kill me!"

He thrust his arms to his sides and his twin red and blue swords appeared in an instant, pulsing with dim blue and red light and putting Empena on edge. Those blades were something she did not like, memories of the last wielders still fresh in her mind.

"I made a promise….to avenge everyone you've killed…to make sure you die…and to personally squeeze that thing you call a neck for the lives you've taken," Kian repeated what he had said a few months ago. "Do you even remember them?! My friends who've you've slaughtered?!"

"What you feel right now, all that vengeance is what everyone feels about your race. Both sides of you. You conquered and rampaged killing everyone in your path. It's only justice that I kill you." Empena explained calmly.

"I didn't do any of that!"

"But your ancestors did. That makes you guilty!"

"By that logic, the descendants of Hitler are all evil from the moment they were born into this world. I know why you would believe that, you are an evil murder crazy bitch after all."

"I am doing what's right." Empena spoke, having no idea who this 'Hitler' was. "After what happened, what I did there were no Evian or Vorakian rampages, their violence was removed. The only monster left is you!"

"They stopped fighting a long time ago!" Kian countered Empena's point. "At least a thousand years ago before Incini was their new home!"

"And how would you know this?"

"Because my parents were there, they brought the fighting to an end!" Kian grit his teeth. "They may have been war hungry a long time ago but the ones who remain do their best to keep everyone safe. You constantly spread lies about my race, about all angels and demons. You kill for 'peace' so the only monster here is you. Not me!"

"You can argue against me however many times you want, you can't argue that the universe is more peaceful-"

"Let me ask you again…do you remember them?"

"Remember who?"

"My friends…my comrades you've slain?"

Empena didn't answer.

Kian scoffed, not surprised at her reaction. "Why would you remember? You probably kill innocent people like that all the time. Tell me Empena, have you killed any humans on this planet?"

"Why would I kill these lives in need of my salvation? There are gods, so many gods that I would like to slaughter. I shall start with the ones from Greece."

Kian's let his truth sense determine if what Empena was saying was the truth.

This truth sense was something inert, a passive ability from the Prince of Lies, Lucifer Morningstar himself. It worked on the principle that a lie was a contradiction of what someone knew and when they did, their auras flickered slightly.

Empena's aura, as dark and evil as it was, did not flicker while she said it.

"As much as I would like to see that, I'm afraid I can't let that happen."

"Why not?" Empena blinked, her blood-red eyes scanning the teenager "My…sources tell me that you were in direct contact with them were you not? You hate them, don't you? You hate them for the same reasons I do! See, we're both the same-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence!" Kian pointed his red sword at her. "I'm not like you, I never will be! They can change, they can become responsible…if something was pushing them. My parents united all angels and demons, they brought an end to 1000 millennia of fighting! I know so many people who have changed. Even your adopted son, Auras."

Empena's red eyes teared up for a split second before she blinked them away, for a second, you could have believed that she had something of a heart. "He is my son no longer. I gave him everything and he turned on me, turned on..us!"

"You corrupted him, made him believe that the right way forward was vengeance and destruction. You aren't fit to be a mother, you aren't even fit to be alive either!"

"Where is he?"

"Safe."

"Where?!"

"Do you think I'm going to let his evil 'mother' come and find him? Do me a favour and walk off a cliff Empena!" Kian chuckled. "Placing a dead man's switch that would kill him if he spoke your name. You can have him over my dead body!"

Empena gripped her scythe hard, red eyes glinting with cruelty. "That I will! Locus will be defenceless after you're dead!"

"Defenceless?" Kian raised an eyebrow. "Blue Angel and Red Devil are still very much alive. If they see you…if you tell them you've killed me…they'll slaughter you and your forces with the power of God himself.

"Those names…" Empena's eyes went wide-eyed at the names. "They-"

"-Were the ones who almost took you down, they were heroes that protected Acochester from your army!" Kian smiled cnfidently. "If they could take you down, then so can I!"

"No matter…I'll pay them a personal visit after all this. Soon, no celestials will be left after I am done, and then there will only be peace!"

Kian scoffed. "You call what you're doing peace?"

"Speak carefully…Reaper." Empena's voice was dangerously close to yelling. "I have stopped many wars across many planets."

Kian ignored her and spoke anyway. "You destroyed their planet, a planet I was supposed to rule, you invaded Locus 12 years ago to kill me, a world where I was supposed to grow up, full of people like me, Auras sent a monster after me on Earth because of you. There's nothing about you that suggests peace. You're a monster that needs to be slain!"

"I wouldn't expect a boy to understand what it takes to keep the peace." Empena started. "Every planet I have conquered…there is no war…no crime. It is a paradise!"

Kian raised an eyebrow. He had been to those planets and Empena was partially right. It was peaceful but there was one little problem.

"Do you call innocent people living under the fear of your oppressive governments a paradise? Little children with powers are taken away from their families and forced to join your army. Some paradise isn't it?"

"Those children keep their world safe!"

"At the cost of their childhood, their innocence. Children aren't supposed to be soldiers, they're childhood should be filled with happy memories…not of war or death." Kian's gaze slightly dropped to the floor and then looked back up at Empena. "Those innocent people have to pay heavy fees to just survive, they live their lives scared of your forces. You call that a paradise?"

"Someone has to pay the bills!"

"They aren't people to you, are they? They're just bags of money you want to drain!"

"I don't understand the problem?" Empena said. "It's a paradise! All they have to do is listen to me and then they'll be fine. My worlds are incredible!"

"A paradise?, incredible" Kian raised an eyebrow and then chuckled. "You probably didn't get the news did you?"

Empena blinked. "What…news?"

"The planets that you've conquered, we've taken control back!"

"Impossible.." Empena laughed condescendingly. "You couldn't have done that by yourself.."

"I know." Kian agreed. "But my friends and I did. Just before we invaded your base to try and kill you. All 500 of them are free."

"That's not right, I should have known that. My Grigori should have-"

"Your Grigori was cut off from you while we defeated them, they could do nothing while we took them back from you." Kian smiled proudly. "They are free. All of them. Every child, every man, every woman you oppressed, every planet you added to your conquests….all of them…are free!"

Empena went to grit her teeth but she twirled her scythe instead. "That is troublesome..but that's fine. I'll take them back after dispatching you! How can a mere child even begin to fathom the thought of stopping me? I have lived 1000 of your lifetimes, I have killed so many of your kind, I wield so many abilities that I can do whatever I desire in this world."

"All that power and you couldn't even kill 3 children! You had an army, an armada of a thousand fleets and you were sent back holding your tail between your legs like a weakling."

"But I managed to kill one of those demons!" Empena countered. "What was her name, K-"

"Keep Kianna's name out of your mouth, evil bitch!" Kian growled. "She was more of a mother than you could ever wish to be! You aren't even fit to speak her name either!"

"This has gone on far too long enough!" Empena readied her scythe and stepped in front of the large stone grave aiming at Kian.

"Oh good!" An aura of gold formed around Kian. "I'm glad we finally agree on something!"

"Before we begin…" Empena started. "Why are you fighting me?"

"What?"

"Are you fighting me because I'm going to kill-"

"You killed my godmother, you killed the people close to me, people I loved. You took away the wonderful life I was supposed to have, you took away the peace that my parents worked so hard for." Kian announced. "I'll send them your ugly head."

(Play Collective Consciousness from Metal Gear Rising Revengance)

Kian charged ahead, leaving a cracked floor and a sonic boom behind him as he went to decapitate Empena's head. He switched his right blue sword into a reverse grip and spun counterclockwise.

Empena blocked the attack with a transparent black barrier but Kian pushed forward, forcing Empena to put more of her power into the barrier but despite Kian's best effort, he was thrown into a building.

Kian rolled in mid-air and relaunched himself back at Empena, breaking the red-bricked wall behind him. Empena created another barrier above her to block this attack but Kian's front flipped and changed direction getting under Empena's defence. With a clean swing, he drew a deep slash from the top of Empena's right shoulder to her hip, his sword stuck inside her chest before it made it cut clean through, leaving her partly chopped up and blood being sprayed out from the deep cut.

Empena looked in horror at how close she had come to dying, her powers already weakening at the sword inside her chest.

"Not so easy is it?" Kian smirked.

Empena focused her blood-red eyes on him and quickly pulled herself free of the sword, her heart being manoeuvred around her body to avoid the slash. In a flash, her deep wound started to heal quickly, closing up in a manner of seconds in flashes of golden light.

"I'll have your head, Reaper!"

She drew her scythe and her skin covered itself in a sheet of shiny steel-like material that had a bare spot just above her neck. Without giving Kian a second of warning, she rushed forward, spinning and drawing her scythe across the air to cut him in two.

Kian placed his sword against this attack and blocked it quickly. He blocked the next slash that was aimed at his head, drawing a series of sparks when the two blades met. Empena withdrew her scythe and drew it downwards only hitting and breaking the ground underneath her target.

Kian slashed at Empena's neck but even though the sword was supercharged with flames, Kian met the same result as he had earlier. He grunted, trying his best to push forward and decapitate his target but it was proving no use.

Empena kicked Kian in the chest, sending him flying across the street in front of them until he rolled out of it and landed.

"Did you think that the same attack would work on me?" Empena growled. "Foolish boy!"

Kian didn't even get to refocus as Empena started attacking again. Kian defended himself purely on instinct, blocking strikes and slashes against her golden scythe with the use of his swords, the only damage being caused to the street around them and not to himself.

Empena slashed at Kian's legs and he performed a backhand spring on instinct, dropping both swords automatically. Without wasting a second, Kian executed a perfect windmill and headspin manoeuver, kicking Empena with consecutive spins in the face with his heavy combat boots. His kicks drew blood and delivered a series of concussive blows to her head that left her dazed.

He immediately rolled back up and using his telekinesis, drew Empena inwards. His red sword flew into his open hand and now glowed brightly, almost white-hot as Kian stabbed his target through her chest again, getting past the metallic skin she had drawn over herself with relative ease.

Empena just chuckled a the sword in her chest. "You can't kill me Reaper, you can stab me many times but you won't find it!"

"I'm not trying to find it…"

He wasn't just repeating the same move for no reason. He flooded her body with Hellforce and watched it flow in her system. Kian knew she had built her heart to absorb hellforce and he watched it slowly converge to a central spot.

"What are you…No!" Empena realised what was going on and smacked Kian with her metallic hand, grazing the sudden helmet which came to defend his face but still sent him skidding back a few feet with the impact.

Empena touched the bleeding wound in her chest. "How?! Why aren't you scared of me?! Every mortal..every soul should be shaking at my mere presence!"

Kian withdrew her sword with the impact and stood back up confidently. "I'm not the same helpless boy that I was 12 years ago. I've trained my whole life to kill you, mastered powers that someone could only dream off, my mission ends today!"

Empena's wound healed in flashes of golden light and she slammed her hands on the concrete ground below. Within seconds, it started to bubble and shoot out at Kian, forcing him to fly backwards and cut down the pieces of concrete that tried to turn him into a Nephilim Kebab.

This was one of her abilities, well one of her stolen abilities. Kian knew about this ability pretty well.

It was called Re-Construct.

Empena could touch the surface of any matter and either disassemble or reassemble it. It could work on living organic matter too but she had to know the material constitution of what she wanted to make or destroy. There was a cooldown period after she used it, around 10-15 seconds before she had to recharge.

Kian slashed at the concrete with his swords until the street below him looked like it had been turned into a pothole paradise. He winced at the scene. As a hero, it was his responsibility to keep the destruction of this city as minimal as possible but it was difficult when he was trying to stop one of the greatest threats to the universe right now.

"Feeling tired?"

"Feeling tied up?!"

Metallic chains surged from around Kian and bound him up in a manner of seconds. Kian desperately tried his best to free himself but the chains were holding him strong as they held him in place.

Kian winced as the chains wrapped themselves tightly around his arms, legs, neck and body. He looked around and he saw multiple versions of Empena.

"You can't hold me with these chains," Kian announced. "You can duplicate yourself as much as you like!"

The duplicates of Empena laughed in unison. "These Chains of Heaven may depower a god but it can hold even an archangel in place. Chains crafted from the purest of iron, not even the hottest flames can cut through them!"

Kian grunted knowing the feeling of being caught in those chains. The last time he got out of them, he needed the help of Marcel, Harry and Bella to get out. He didn't have them to help him now

"Now…let's finish this little problem off!"

The original Empena pulled the chain that was around his head and Kian was forced to kneel, the other Empena clones pulling at his arms. The original Empena walked towards him dragging his scythe along the floor and generating sparks of light as she made her way.

Another of her stolen abilities Self-Replication.

She could create clones of herself, sometimes to over 1000 if she wanted to but those clones contained a fraction of the original's power. For example, if Empena had 4 clones, then her original power would be split 4 times between all of them. The only downside of this ability, all the clones could be taken out with a single fatal hit. They were single-use only.

Kian tried to think. If he couldn't use his flames to escape, then what could he use?

Empena swung at Kian's head, only the thoughts of conquering the universe filling her head.

Kian's phasing red eyes sparkled with blue lightning. "LIGHTNING STYLE: TERRAVOLT DISCHARGE!"

A series of electric arcs sparkled into existence, a few at first before becoming hundreds, surrounding him like a comfortable blanket. He built up a large electric potential, almost comparable to a lightning bolt striking the earth and all of this charge instantly flowed into the iron chains and the Empena clones and all of them except their chains vanished in a flash of gold light.

All the chains that were left surged towards the original Emepena's palm and she started to burn and crackle with the heat of the generated lightning. She tried in vain to pull the chains but Kian grabbed them and held it tightly, adding another boost of power to the lightning that was flowing from him via a lightning strike from the skies

Empena screamed, her burning lungs cutting her voice as the potential difference of the lightning was charring her pale white skin to a dark black and boiling the very blood underneath her skin to vapours. Her metallic-covered skin had exploded off her skin, causing even more damage to her body.

Kian intended for this to be how Empena died, continuous lightning would have made sure that her regeneration couldn't keep up and the very thing she tried to use to kill her would have been her doom. If his flames couldn't have done anything against these chains, perhaps his electricity would be better.

Empena with one final scream, cut off her right arm, the source of all her chains and she collapsed to the floor in a smoking heap.

Kian rubbed his wrists and stood up, the force behind them enough for him to feel it beyond his padded and armoured hero suit. He breathed in and out, wiping some sweat off his face. To generate that much power, a potential difference of 100 million joules took a significant amount of power from his life force supply.

He looked at the charred body of his greatest enemy, he could have finished her off right here but he felt something was wrong…

He turned his blue sword into a spear and threw it towards her head as hard as he could throw it, breaking the sound barrier and shattering the nearby windows of the apartment complex nearby.

The spear hurtled through the air and bounced off an invisible barrier that shielded her.

Kian grit his teeth and commanded the spear to return. He was right. A momentary flash of white light around Empena meant one thing: a barrier shield. Her ship was still nearby and supporting her.

Empena's skin was rapidly regenerating, replacing her charred skin in flashes of gold light as she just lay there. Her smoking scalp was replaced by her luscious blood red hair like earlier and even her clothes returned to normal.

"Even that…" Empena coughed. "Won't be enough-" Empena coughed and threw up a pool of dark black blood, her breathing and respiratory system heavily damaged by the lightning strike. "-to kill me!"

"Can't even face me without your mothership nearby?" Kian scoffed. "Pathetic!"

Empena slowly stood up, her muscle fibres returning to their original thickness and repairing themselves fully. "Not using what you have to win is foolishness, boy. That is why you shall die today!"

Kian grit his teeth and in a flash and swung his blue sword at her. An arc of bright blue light narrowly hit her, drawing blood as she dodged the slash and instead cut a series of lamposts as it travelled into the sky.

He coiled his blue sword to his left and hypercharged it with flames, launching into a wheel of bright blue flames again as he tried to decapitate Empena but as the blade was about to hit her neck, she thrust her arm out and grabbed his right arm.

Within seconds, the arm that grabbed Kian's right hand grew in size. It expanded unnaturally, muscles rippling underneath her pale skin as she squeezed his arm. She added more strength and smiled unnaturally wide.

Another set of stolen powers: Hypertrophy and Kinetic Amplifier. Hypertrophy increased the size of her muscles and the kinetic amplifier added more strength to her body.

Kian grunted and tried his best to free himself from her grip but Empena wouldn't stop. He started to shout in pain, his arm was being slowly crushed.

"How can you fight me without an arm, Reaper?" Empena mocked him, She pulled him closer and headbutted him, dazing him with the impact, his helmet breaking off in an attempt to protect him.

Kian tried to punch Empena in the face but she didn't feel the impact, a result that delivered a moment of temporary fear into his heart. Empena continued squeezing his arm, almost breaking it.

"I'll make sure to bury you with your friends…Reaper.." Empena said. "That I can promise you!"

Kian growled at that sentence and, in a moment of genius, dropped both of his swords and grabbed hold of Empena's huge arm using his other arm.

As Empena tried to figure out what he wanted to do, Kian swung his body around, his right boot catching his blue sword in between the heel and the front of the shoe. He swung as hard as he could, boosting his speed with a sharp air blast and launched himself at her head.

As he had predicted, Empena let his arm go to dodge the blow and he landed on the floor below. He picked up his sword and looked at Empena, a bleeding cut just above her forehead that was healing quickly.

"Keep this fight between me and you Empena!" Kian growled and pointed his sword at her again. "YOU WON'T LAY A HAND ON THEM!"

From where he stood, he launched an incredibly powerful sidekick that drove Empena through the lower half of a building complex and out the other side. As Empena rolled to a stop, damaging the road alongside her, Kian appeared just as quickly and grabbed her face. With a vice-like grip, he slammed her to the ground and ran, dragging her through the tarmac of the road below them at speeds comparable to an F1 car.

A chain shot out of Empena's left hand and wrapped itself around a lampost tightly. Out of her other regenerated hand came black tendrils that planted themselves in the ground allowing her to throw Kian off her and stand back up.

She sharply stood up and increased the size of her left arm, using the same hypertrophy ability as before but adding a kinetic amplifier and spear-like appendages to deliver more damage. She saw her target falling through the sky and made a move to attack.

Kian looked at Empena and saw her disappear, leaving only a blur behind him. His senses warned him to move and as he landed, he received a painful punch to his stomach and chest. Empena had struck him with one of her large arms and sent him into a high-rise building. He crashed into the building and fell 60m into the floor below him, kicking up a cloud of dust and creating a 2m crater.

He got up shakily and before he could even move a finger, he was punched into the floor with a sickening crunch. Empena kept smashing him into the ground with a flurry of punches, each one breaking the ground further. She stopped for a moment and grabbed Kian's face, picking up his damaged body and throwing him into the front of another building.

Kian tried his best to regain his composure, his body and face now covered with little cuts and bruises. He managed to see Empena charging forwards and his body only acted on instinct. Kian ignited the air inside his lungs and took a large breath of air inside. With one last look around him, he expelled the powerful blue flames inside and it hit Empena just as she tried to grab his face again.

Kian roared, the flames inside his lungs burning Empena again as she took most of the damage and as his vision started to blur, he stopped quickly. He regained his breath but as he went to use his flame breath again, Empena clamped a hand over his mouth and threw him to the ground again.

Kian gasped from the impact, all the air inside his lungs exited in such a quick manner that he almost forget the feeling of breathing.

Empena kept the relentless barrage up, smashing the ground over and over again until Kian appeared to be a lifeless husk with the huge pair of arms she had created. Satisfied with the damage, she picked him up and began to squeeze his neck, his legs dangling from where he was being held.

Kian's hair was a mess, his face now covered with cuts and bleeding as his eyes glazed over. His breathing was erratic and out of control as he was being held by his greatest enemy.

"Your time comes to an end here…Reaper."

Her right arm increased in size and strength, trying her best to break her target's neck.

"You have my support…"

"Any last words?" Empena smailed manically.

Kian's glazed purple eyes regained their life and a flash of sky blue now replaced them. "We're…not done yet!"

"We?"

Kian started glowing, gold at first and then suddenly almost all white. A sharp flash of white sliced her arm clean off and left her screaming, the cause burning her very soul. She looked at her cut-off arm and then back at her target, receiving a bone-crunching kick to the face and a sharp kick to the stomach which sent her flying into a truck that thankfully, the driver had already evacuated.

She looked at the figure that had done that and her blood-red eyes burned with fury. She had faced someone like this a long time ago, one that had nearly ended her life.

In front of her, Kian's blonde hair now flowed freely around his head, a couple of bangs streaking his forehead. All of his injuries were now healed, surrounded by an aura of gold and with little lightning sparks. His entire armour was replaced with white and blue, complimenting his bright sky blue eyes and the lines of blue light that ran across the middle of his eyes.

Both of his swords flew into his hands but Kian only put away his red one inside his right hand. His blue sword contained an ethereal glow, a perfect complement to the divine weapon and a pair of metallic-looking white and blue wings, a pair representing the Archangel Michael and a pair representing Kian himself fluttered behind him, his wingspan large enough to almost fit the street width and making every pedestrian stare in awe at the scene.

"How?!" Empena screamed at him. "HOW?! You were supposed to be dead!"

"You underestimate us." His voice gained a divine echo. "Count yourself fortunate….you'll see the true power of a Complete Archangel!"

She found herself flying forward, independent of her actions. Kian clotheslined her into the street and with a subconsciously reinforced leg, Kian stamped her face over and over again into the ground with force almost strong enough to bring the buildings around them down.

Kian went for a final stamp but found his foot grabbed by Empena. She gripped it tightly with her left and threw Kian over her, allowing her some time to breathe from this rampage. She stood up slowly, the broken bones in her face, from Kian's stepping barrage were slowly healing.

Unfortunately for her, a large truck was swung at her and the impact threw her into the air. The reason? Kian had picked it up and used it as a bat, hitting her with the payload of the vehicle.

Kian threw the payload into the air in time with Empena and with a cold look in his blue eyes, aimed a free hand towards the pair.

He breathed in and out. "Celestial Judgement!"

A beam of blue light streaked forward from Kian's hands and hit the payload, engulfing Empena in a ball of superheated flames that lit up the nearby streets and threatened to spill out into the nearby office walls, and offices full of innocent people.

Kian's blue eyes turned midnight blue and he brought his hands together. "DOMAIN CAPTURE: CONTAINMENT COFFIN!"

A dark midnight blue cube formed out of nothing and wrapped itself around the fireball and kept it from spilling into the streets. The explosion kept going, burning Empena with the volatile fuel inside it. Kian flicked it up into the air and travelled with it until he was high in the clouds, far away from her ship and away from the once staring residents of Seattle.

He put his blue sword away and put his left hand out. The clouds near him gathered, greyed and darkened. In an instant, a bow of lightning formed out of sparks in his hands. Kian repeated the motion of drawing a bow and an arrow of lightning appeared from the skies in his right hand.

"LIGHTNING STYLE: TRUE INDRA'S ARROW!"

Kian released the arrow of lightning the moment he turned off his spatial domain, The electric arrow hit Empena creating an ear-shattering crack of thunder that could have been heard from all over Seattle. The orange fireball turned almost white as it spilt out into the sky around Empena, making it look like the sun if you were looking from the ground.

This wasn't enough…

He clenched his fists tightly.

Kian wanted her to feel the pain she had inflicted on him, the pain of losing his friends, his teacher, the woman he loved…he wanted her to feel everything that he had experienced!

With an animalistic growl and with his left hand, he squeezed her body with a powerful telekinetic command, not caring to listen to the screams of pain and bone-crunching noises from his victim.

With his right hand, he withdrew his blue sword and placed as much energy into it, charging up a technique that he knew he could only use somewhere in the skies.

"CELESTIAL JUDGEMENT: HEAVEN PIERCER"

A powerful blue beam of plasma screamed a noise so loud that it was heard from in the next state as it cut through the air, hitting Empen when he let go of his telekinetic grip.

Empena's body was rapidly regenerating, trying its best to keep her alive but even that was beginning to falter as the body it was trying to keep together was cut in half. Kian's attack had split her into two pieces.

Empena threw up a pool of black blood into the now clear blue sky and began to fall to the ground, both halves of her. She descended from the sky until hit the hard surface of the Earth with a monstrous impact. She found herself lying flat in a crater, a place where clean granite surfaces and a water fountain were going off.

The nearby people all ran away at the sudden appearance of an alien cut in half. Black tendrils from both pieces of Empena sprout from the cut ends and reached out, slowly but surely connecting the two into one.

Kian landed a few seconds after her, creating a sharp gust of wind that blew away the dead leaves of the nearby trees and pieces of trash across the street. His blue eyes were phasing between blue and red, his aura of white and gold doing the same.

Empena's body had almost put itself together, almost repaired the broken bones and she tried to get up but Kian reacted sharply. A nearby lamp post broke free from the ground and surged into Kian's hands and he rushed forward in a brilliant display of speed, using it to stab Empena through her chest and pin her to the cold hard floor beneath them.

Kian raised a hand and a lightning bolt struck the metal structure and the huge amount of current flowed into her, burning her flesh with pulses of electricity.

(Music End)

"You aren't going anywhere!" Kian growled, the bottom of his boots being covered in Empena's blood. "Your regeneration is already at its limit, you won't be healing to full strength anytime soon."

"This…changes nothing…" Empena spluttered out. "If you kill me, you'll just be like them!"

"Don't give me that bullshit!" Kian roared. "If I kill you, we can finally live in peace, I can finally avenge them! I've been waiting for this moment for 6 years, so much work, so much training…so much loss…"

Kian's blue sword glowed brightly, pulses of light in time with Kian's heavy breaths. He looked at Empena one last time in her cold red eyes before swinging it at her head.

He had done it…

He had avenged Incini…

All of his friends that died against the many fights against Empena, his teacher Rennan, his fellow friends Jamie, Mezan and even Karin… were avenged.

"Watch out Kalilel!…"

ZWWOOOOOOM

A figure in all-black slammed into Kian the moment his blue sword was about to slice Empena's neck clean off and he rolled a few feet from the still healing Empena.

Kian looked up and he punched the floor in anger, creating a series of cracks that broke the water fountain behind him. "I don't have time for this!"

The woman in black, the same person he had left with Mia and the one he had faced earlier had come back. He thought that for a second she had managed to kill Mia but he still felt her life force in this world. That and he knew Mia was a lot tougher than she looked, so many of Empena's Grigori had learned that the hard way.

"Meet my new Grigori Member." Empena coughed up another pool of blood. "Dark Moon Number 1!"

"Stronger than Rashomon?" Kian stood up. "Who is she?!"

"Oh, I'll save that for later…" Empena cackled like a witch from Macbeth. "But right now…you'll have to deal with her now!"

"If I can beat you, I can do almost everything!"

With that, the woman in all black charged at Kian, leaving a sonic boom behind her.

Kian's revenge would have to wait for a moment longer…
