Chapter 24: Preperations.

Normal POV.

Ouranus called to the man hiding at the second entrance of his chamber.

The boy is tall for his age, has a slightly long white hair and red ruby eyes. Bell Cranel slowly came out and heads towards Ouranus with a solemn look on his face.

"I see, you're still afraid of interacting with her huh? I can't blame you because of what happened before... Anyway, go on. You know what to do, don't hesitate my child. Just keep pushing forward. Don't hesitate. Do not fear."

"Thank you very much... I'll go now... To save them..!"

Bell dashed off towards the exit leaving the god smiling to himself. He knew that the boy would do anything just to protect those who are important to him. Just like Argonaut.

"He really is a true hero in mind, body and soul isn't he Hermes?"

"So I've been found out huh?" The god said while removing the magical mask he got from his child Asfi.

"You can't hide your presence from me young man. And stop your scheme if you don't want me to do something about you and your Familia. Leave Bell Cranel alone"

Daedalus Street. (Night)

On top of one of the four largest buildings, Finn and his trusted assistants planning and deducing Bell and his allies' next move.

"Many things are not yet set in stone but I'm sure that their top priority is to go back to the dungeon through Knossos. Since we all knew that other adventurers are guarding the Babel right now so their only option is to force their way through us. As of now, all the entrance were guarded by our second class and first class adventurers... And finally, the one that we're going to fight, Little Rookie will appear before us again later to distract us and stall us for the armed monsters to escape."

"Captain, who's going to face him? I mean, he's a level 4 but even I can tell from the way he fights is he's just as strong as a first class adventurer. Don't tell me you'll do it?" Raul asked his idol.

"Nope, if I fight him head on, then who'll lead our forces and give orders to you guys? I knew someone who can keep him busy and perhaps could defeat him but that depends on her... Right? Aki?" Finn looked into her eyes.

He's clearly asking on which side she is on and of course, whoever she chooses to help won't change the fact that she's still an executive and no one can blame her. Since Bell and the one who revived her were on the other side. Yet she still accepted Finn's request.

"I'll do it... I know that the person who revived me was also a human, but those armed monsters... I want to know why he's so desperate on helping them, why he's willing to risk his own life protecting them instead of eliminating or capturing them like us. I know words won't be enough that's why I want to cross blades with him. I want the two of us to fight to our fullest so we can understand each other... So please let me do it.!" She bowed to her captain as she finished her word.

Alicia, Raul, Riveria and Line were a little bit worried about her but since no one can find their sword princess' wherabout. She's the best candidate to fight him head on.

"Well then, I'm counting on you."

"YES!"

Aki jumped off and headed straight to the battle ground, the main street where she will fight and try to figure out what's driving him to do something so crazy as this.

"Wait for me Bell..! "

Mikoto's POV.

As soon as we were contacted by the Xenos, we started to go to the Daedalus Street and search for them. To help them fight and escape the Loki Familia guarding the second entrance to the dungeon.

"Let's hurry everyone, we can't be late especially at a time like this!" I said to my two comrade as I increased my pace.

"She's right Lil'Lily we should also increase our speed or it might be too late!"

They followed me suit a minute after that, we finally found their location and reunited with our dragon girl which they now call Wiene.

"Mikoto! I'm so glad to finally see you!" The blue haired girl dashed towards us and launched herself before reaching our position.

"Wiene-chan! Don't be too loud or they might hear us outside!" The siren said to the lively girl.

"Wiene...? Who gave you that name?" I asked her because the last time we saw her, we can't come up with a name no matter how hard we try.

"You see! You see! Be-mpphh!!!!" Her mouth was then grabbed by the Gargoyle named Gross.

"We named her after you left the other day, sorry we didn't inform you." He bowed before glaring at the girl who now stopped struggling.

"Anyway, come. We're now going to plan our return to the dungeon and I assume that you guys are here to help us. Am I right?"

"Yes..." I replied to him on behalf of our Familia.

"Well then... I will explain everything to you three..."

Daedalus Main Street.

Bell stood in the middle of the road, waiting for the arrival of Aki. He already knew that Finn won't take the bait and instead send out someone to deal with him and since Aiz was still missing, Aki was the best option. Or the other level 6.

"But I'm sure that she will show herself and fight me, I know her and she's probably going to question my decisions. But not through words."He smiled to himself as he noticed a presence slowly approached him but his expression was soon turned into a surprised look when he saw an elf covered in green slowly walking towards him. Behind her was a figure he's somewhat familiar with but couldn't tell who because she has no presence at all.

"So it's true... That you are serving another god now, is that the reason why I'm hearing weird rumors about you leading a party of strong monsters above here at the surface?" She eyed him seriously.

Bell stood there looking down before giving her an answer.

"Yes, but she's got nothing to do with it. This is my own decision."

"I see.. One last question, are you also an Evilus now?" Her eyes glowed in ferocity as she pointed her Alvs Lumna to the white haired man.

"No"

"Then why?" She didn't stop and kept pressing on to the subject. But stopped when Bell drew his sword.

"Then, how about this...?" He showed her the sword from Astrea.

Ryu could not believe her own eyes when she saw him slowly drawing the crimson order, but one thing is clear to her. The god that Bell is currently serving was her former Goddess and Idol.

"I'm so sorry..." She dropped her weapon, kneeled and cried. She knew that if her goddess allowed his actions, it must be the right choice.

But seeing as now is not the time for a tearful reunion, Bell offered his hand and helped her up.

"Ryu-san, I know what you feel but please. Lend me your strength, I can't win this battle alone. We don't know when Aiz-san will show up and what she'll do once she arrives. So please help me and intercept her. I can't handle two opponents at once."

"May I ask who you're gonna fight white hair?" The unknown person then was soon revealed as another waitress from the pub. A cat girl wearing a black hoodie with short sleeves, a gray shorts and long brown combat boots.

"One of your kind Chloe-san, also please assist Ryu-san. I know she's strong but given that Aiz-san is a level 6, she might need a strong ally like you."

Chloe nodded and climbed up the roof with Ryu. Waiting for the sword princess' arrival at the battle field.

They soon spotted her slowly walking into an alley not too far from their direction and jumped through the roofs to reach it.

"Alright..."

Bell could feel her presence everywhere. But there is no hostility in it nor anything, it was empty like a white canvas waiting to be dyed by different kinds of colors.

"Bell..." The girl called out.

She slowly made her way in front of him with a sad smile on her face. She knew she can't escape this, as words won't suffice. So they have to cross blades and channel all of their feelings into it.

"Aki-san... I'm ready, but you know what. I don't hate this, not one bit... Think about it, we agree to each other's opinions all the time don't we?" The boy said while looking up above.

"You're right..." Was all she said before placing a hand on her sword.

"Well they say that the more you fight, the stronger your relationship will be-huh...?" Bell noticed his hands shaking when he placed his hand to his sword. An image of Aki then flash to his head, bathing on her own blood with Aiz's sword piercing her chest.

"Bell..!" Aki's eyes widened in realization. She then smiled and relaxed herself. Thinking of a way to erase that image of her in his head until she finally came up with one.

"Bell, we're not fighting. This is just a little misunderstanding between us, also. Do you still remember the music during that time?"

"Yes...!"

SHING

They both drew their sword and went to their stances. With one thing on their mind, they smiled to each other.

"Make sure you pour everything Bell." The cat girl smiled.

"And be sure to be open about it! Well then... Aki-san."

"Bell."

Sorry, a something big hit us after the new year and one of my family members got covid 19. Since we share the same house. some of us got also infected as well as me.

Anyway since I'm okay now. I decided to update my story. Hope you like it as well as the new one I published earlier!
