Disclaimer I own nothing 50. Like last year this is an early birthday gift, for my Hotsie. Have a Happy and Safe New Year and please stay safe.
The moment Sophia saw her Dad, she ran and jumped into his arms. Like she did when she was a little girl. That put a huge grin on his face.
"Hey Baby Girl did you miss me?"
That made Sophia giggle. Something Christian has not heard since before she was taken. That made Christian really happy. He knew as she grows older, he will hear less and less of that giggle. He loves so much to hear. Just like it happened, with her older sister.
"Of course Daddy."
When Christian put her down, there was a huge smile on his daughter's face.
"That was an amazing show Dad. I can't wait to help you put on the next show."
Christian did not what his daughter to lose her smile just yet. So he did not tell her yet that, the Longo boys will have to wait. Till they get back from Italy. Because they did not know, what they would find there. They could not risk it. The family was so big now it took almost 30 minutes for everyone to greet each of their family members with a hug, handshake or a kiss. After greeting all his kids, Christian made his way to his Princess. As he made his way over to Ana, she was looking him up and down. To make sure he was ok. When he was standing in front of Ana, he pulled her in for a long passionate kiss.
"How's my Princess?"
"Better now, that you are here."
That put her special smile on his face. The smile he only has for her. After Christian greeted his Mom with a hug and a kiss on the cheek, the family made its way into the safe house. As Grace and her girls started dinner, Christian and the rest decided to tell the rest of the family that they would not be coming to Italy with them. Witch was the plan before last night. Grace and her girls already know, whats going on. An that MJ and Frankie's family are on a plane coming to the states right now.
They figured it would be easier if they split up and tell their own little parts of their huge family. Danny knew that Jessie, Chris and the twins would not give her any issues, but Jay Baby will give her hell. Hell she would have given her Dad hell, if she was told she was not going to see her Uncle Frankie. When she was younger. The first thing Danny did was grab her husbands hand. But instead of walking to find there kids, CJ pulled her into his arms. Knowing thats what she needed at that very moment.
"Princess, I've missed you so much."
"An I have missed you CJ."
"What do you say after you come back from Italy, the seven of us go somewhere for the weekend."
CJ knew, with this being the year before, she takes over the family business. She could not just up and leave for a whole week or more. What CJ said, put a huge smile on Danny's face. He always knew what to say and what to do, when things where getting hard for her.
"What would I do without you CJ?"
That made CJ chuckle a little bit. Before he kissed her lips and forehead.
"Probably the same thing, I would be without you lost."
Danny kissed him back and said let's go find ourm kids.
The first thing they did, after landing in Sicily was to go to Luca Lambert's house. It has remained untouched for the past year. Luca died a year ago by multiple gun shot wounds to the chest. He sacrificed himself by pushing his son out of the way, so he wouldn't get shot. Ever since then Mac has not been able to step foot into his childhood home.
Carrick and Mac went into Luca's study themselves. This was going to be very hard on Mac and he needed his brother there.
"Any secrets about the Lamberts will be found in Dad's journals. As you you know Carrick. He wrote a page every day since he started working in the family at 16."
When they walked in to the office, it was completely destroyed from top to bottom. Carrick watched as the anger, started to boil in his best friend and brother. In a matter of seconds, Mac screamed at the top of his lungs and pulled his gun out and started rubbing it against his head.
Carrick walked over to his brother and pushed the gun away from his head. The gun misfired as he did that, in to the floor. But Carrick did not give a fuck. When his sons and the rest that came with them ran into the room, he did not give a fuck either. All he cared about was his brother. He placed his hands on either side of his face. Then Mac started to talk to Carrick. As tears started to fill he's eyes.
"Carrick this is all my fault…"
Before Mac could finish his sentence, Carrick cut him off.
"Mac you need to shut the fuck up and listen to me. This may have to do with your family, but this is not your fuckin fault. You hear me Mac. This is not your fuckin fault."
MAC slowly nodded his head. But Carrick was not convinced, that Mac truly believed what he was saying. So he called over the one person other than Mac's daughter, who will make him see this is not his fault.
"Christian get your ass over here and tell your Godfather, this is not his fuckin fault."
Christian didn't say a word, he just took his Dad's place in front of his Uncle. With his hands cupping his Uncle's face, he spoke nice and slow.
"Uncle Mac, this is not your fault. Even if this is connected to your family in someway. It's connected with the Greys. Are we responsible also?"
Mac was shocked, how could this be the Greys fault. But Christian cut him off before he could even speak.
"Now Uncle Mac, I need you to take a deep breath and get your head in the game. We still don't know if your daughter and grandkids and great grandchildren are still in danger."
Mac closed his eyes and took a deep breath, like his godson said to do. Christian was right he needed to focus. No matter who's fault it is.
When Mac opened his eyes, he was in full boss mode. Even though it's been years since he handed the rains of the family over to his son.
"The room does look tossed, but there is a chance they didn't get what they were looking for. Carrick do you remember me telling you about the secret vault, Dad told me about when I turned 50."
All Carrick did was nod yes to Mac. Mac walked over to the book self. Everyone but Carrick and Mac were confused. He pulled out an old looking book, one no one would think about even touching. Opened to the back page and placed his hand on the blue-tooth scanner.
Mac stepped back and the whole book shelf started disappearing into the ground. Then there was another wall with a hmand scanner, Mac placed his hand on it. A key pad popped up. He entered the date of his Mom and Dads wedding Day.
122567
Then that wall disappeared into the floor. Revealing a room. If Mac and Carrick was looking at their boys and Danny , they would laugh at the face expressions that they had. Mac and Carrick walked right in, but heard no movement from behind them.
"Are you guys coming?"
Mac said as he sat at the desk in the middle of the room. On the top of the desk was a letter that said Mac. With a hand of support on his shoulder from Carrick. MAC opened the envelope with shaky hands.
My Dearest Son,
If you are reading this, I'm dead. There is so much I should have told you, before my death. The most important thing I should have told you more often how much I love you and I'm so fuckin proud of you. An the 2nd thing could have saved you so much time. I just pray no one has gotten hurt because of my stupidity.
Just before your Granddad Mac died he was accused of killing 3 princesses in cold blood. Even if he was not in a nursing home the last ten years of his life with dementia, most knew it was straight up bull shit. But the Cruz family was insisted that it was your Grandpa. So I sent my crew in and just took the whole family out.
You knew better then anyone that your Grandpa would never do anything to harm a woman let alone a princess. You guys were so close. He was your hero growing up. I know that at times he was there more for you then I was. You never said it but I know it broke your heart that for those last ten years, he had no clue who you were. I should have been there more for you then. I have always regretted that.
At the time you were my hot headed son working hard to take over as my under boss. I was afraid you would burn down the whole town the Cruz family lived in, if you found out about what they said about your Grandpa Mac. It would have been to risky. What if you had gotten caught? I could not live with myself if that happen.
Anyway getting back to the point. About four months ago it came to my attention that my crew missed someone. One of the Cruz boys had a young son, that we knew nothing about. The nanny watching him, ran when bullets started to fly. When she found out about the Cruz family dying, she adopted him. He had five sons, before I found out about him. His name is Daniel Longo. I have been keeping track of their movements since then. At 1st I did not think we had anything to worry about.
But about a month ago, an informant of mine said he heard them talking about the Lamberts. He did not get much, but revenge was brought up. More then once. Also that they were having trouble, figuring out what to do. Because our family is so protected. I have tried dealing with it myself. But nothing has worked out. I hope you can do, what I have not been able to do. All the information you need is in my special safe. You know the code. An you know where to find it.
I'm so sorry My son. I can only hope you can forgive me one day.
Your Father
Mac looked up at his brother in everything but blood.
"Dad knew before he died about the Longos, before he died."
Then Mac through a glass paper weight against the wall. An it shattered into a million pieces. An has he stood, he spoke with so much anger.
"Lo sapeva, cazzo (He Fuckin Knew)"
That made everyone in the room except Carrick step back. None of Mac's kids, Carrick's kids or their Granddaughter have ever seen Mac this angry. Carrick was actually happy with Mac's reaction. If he is this angry, he will not have time to blame himself for this whole fuckin mess. An with any luck, when it's all over he will forget that he even tried blaming himself.
"Grandpa Mac, regardless if Great Grandpa knew. Why did Russ's men not find out anything about Daniel Longo Sr?"
Everyone looked at Danny. An their minds started to race. There was no question, Russ was no trader. But there had to be one, maybe even more traders in his many crews. So Mac pulled his phone out and called Russ. (Russ had came back to Italy with them, because he thought his job was done.)
"Russ, I need you to get to my house asap. I will be there in 20 minutes."
An with that Mac hung up the phone. An when they pulled in front of Mac's house, Russ was all ready waiting there for them. When Mac shook hands with Russ, he noticed that he looked alarmed. As he should be. Because their has been no traders in Russ's family since his father was running things. Luca was in his teens during that time, but he told Mac about it and it was a complete blood bath.
Chapter 9 Everything happens for a reason
They where so focused on the Longo boys it never crossed their minds about their parents. Or that they would be involved. But that doesn't matter now. What matters now is that they find the parents and bring them to the states, to die along side their sons. After all Daniel Sr's friends that be trade Russ are already dead.
