Red eyes were staring at someone in the darkness. "There it is! Get it!" Zane ran as fast as he could, dodging trees left and right. "Don't let it escape!"

Zane tripped on a rock and tumbled down a hill. "It went down there! Get it!"

Ignoring the pain in his foot, Zane continued to run. 'I can't let them get me!' Zane was so focused on running, he didn't see the trap in front of him. Zane activated the trap and a net trapped him on a tree branch.

"We got it! Time to rid the world of you, freak." A dark shape with red eyes said as he and several other dark shapes with red eyes surrounded him.

"I didn't do anything! Please, let me go!" Zane pleaded.

"No, you're a hybrid and that's enough. Your kind doesn't deserve to live, so we're going to take care of that right now."

"No, no, NO!"

Zane woke up and banged his hand against the top bunk. He rubbed his head in pain. 'Thank goodness, it was just a dream.' Zane got out of his bed and stretch his whole body. He could still feel his heart racing from his nightmare. 'Relax. Take deep breaths. It was only a dream.' Zane looked around and saw that the other ninja were gone.

Zane walked out and went to the bridge where he saw Nya and Sensei Wu. "The hunt starts early today," Zane commented.

"A watchful eye never sleeps," Sensei Wu said once he looked up from the map he was reading then he looked back at it.

"As long as Lloyd and the Serpentine roam freely, no one in Ninjago is safe," Nya told him.

"Where are the others?" Zane asked them.

"Training on the upper deck," Sensei Wu told him.

Still in his pajamas, Zane walked to the deck. He looked around and saw the training equipment in the middle of the deck. 'Odd. Where is everyone?' Zane couldn't sense nor smell his friends nearby so he just decided to stand near the edge of the Bounty and just let the wind flow through his hair and ears. He closed his eyes and just let himself relax. Unfortunately, that relaxation did not last long, a dark shadow was creeping up behind him. He could smell something familiar and he sensed a dark force. "Lord Garmadon." He turned to him. "But you were banished."

"Only to return for the weapons of Spinjitzu." Lord Garmadon took out two swords from behind him. "Soon I will have the power to recreate Ninjago in my own image." Just before Lord Garmadon could get a hit on Zane, Zane dodged the attack by jumping over him and taking out his Shurikens of Ice. "Give me your Shurikens of Ice, Hybrid!"

"You'll have to take them from me! Ninja, Go!" Zane did his spinjitzu and was about to attack Lord Garmadon but Lord Garmadon was able to grab Zane by his neck with no problem. He threw Zane in the middle of the deck, face first, causing him to crash into all the weapons, Zane even released his shurikens.

"So be it." Lord Garmadon cut a rope with his sword that was holding up a box.

The box proceeded to fall, Zane covered his eyes and curled up into a ball, prepared to lose his life. However, when he opened his eyes, the Green Ninja had saved his life by catching the box. He threw the box off the Bounty and Zane was in disbelief. "The Green Ninja. The legend's true."

From this point on, Zane watched as the Green Ninja and Lord Garmadon fought. Lord Garmadon jumped up the upper deck and the Green Ninja jumped closer to him. The Green Ninja threw a punch at Lord Garmadon. Lord Garmadon tried to hit the Green Ninja with his sword but he dodged the attack. Lord Garmadon tried to stab the Green Ninja with his swords but the Green Ninja just jumped on his swords. Lord Garmadon tried to throw the Green Ninja off the Bounty but he used the mast to stay on. Lord Garmadon threw his swords at the Green Ninja but he dodged them by ducking and the swords got stuck in the mast.

'I do not understand. The Green Ninja is strong so... it is Cole?'

The Green Ninja did his spinjitzu around the mast a few time and Zane just watched the fight in awe. He continued to smell the air to get a whiff of the Green Ninja's scent to see if he recognized it but he couldn't figure it out. He smelled familiar, yet at the same time he didn't. Lord Garmadon jumped on the upper deck and the Green Ninja delivered several punches at the Dark Lord. The two seemed to be evenly matched until the Green Ninja jumped off the upper deck then he pulled out the Nunchucks of Lightning.

'Jay? The Green Ninja is Jay? But Jay isn't as strong as Cole.'

The Green Ninja powered up the Nunchucks of Lightning and just before Lord Garmadon could attack him, he shot lightning and Lord Garmadon fell off the Bounty. Zane watched as Lord Garmadon fell then he looked back at the Green Ninja who had cat eyes that were shining with fire and his fist was on fire.

"Who are you?" Zane stood up and walked closer to the Green Ninja. "Kai, is that you?" Dark shapes with red eyes started to come on the Bounty and started to surround the two ninjas. "What's the meaning of this? Who are you, Green Ninja?"

Zane gasped as he woke up and once again, hit his head on the top bunk. Everyone else was already awake with their beds already made. Jay, who had finished making his bed, turned to Zane and said, "Oh, sleeping in? You're going to be late for training."

Zane sat up on the bed and asked, "How come no one awaken me?"

"We didn't think you wanted us to. You looked like you were having some dream," Kai told him.

"How do I know this isn't a dream..." Cole walked over to Zane and hit him with a pillow.

Zane rubbed his head and looked at Cole annoyed. It was obvious since his ears were down in an annoyed manner. "Does that feel like a dream?" cole asked him.

"No. Thank you for your help," Zane said annoyed but he was grateful on the inside that it was a dream. 'A dream inside a dream, I have never experienced that before.' Jay, Cole, and Kai laughed a bit at their friend.

Later that morning, the ninja, in their full uniforms, were on the deck ready for training. Kai noticed that Zane was distracted. Even though he barely talked at breakfast, he always said something but this time, he didn't say anything. Their hybrid friend seemed to be lost in thought. "Heh-heh. Little slow today, huh? What exactly did you dream about?"

Zane didn't want to talk about his dream inside his dream since he didn't think it was relevant so he decided to just talk about his dream with the Green Ninja. "I was on the training deck and I couldn't smell anyone up here."

"Whoa. Zane, every time you follow your nose, something big happens, well, not every time, but most of the time it does. First, it lead you to the secret treehouse," Jay told him.

"Then it lead you to the Bounty," Cole said.

"All right. Stretches. First, the Swooping Crane. Zane, make sure your tail does not touch the ground. Keep it high, but not completely straight," Sensei Wu told them then he demonstrated the stretch. His arms were in the air and one foot was up.

The others followed Sensei Wu's stretch as Zane continued to tell them about his dream. "This time, I found the Green Ninja," Zane whispered.

"The Green Ninja?!" Jay, Kai, and Cole shouted shocked.

Sensei Wu turned around and only saw Zane in his stretching position. Kai had his hand over his eyes, Jay looked shocked with his hands covering his mouth, and Cole's hands were on his head. "That looks like the Shocked Monkey." Kai, Cole, and Jay looked away from Zane and at Master Wu. "Bad form, more focus."

"You can't just drop a bomb like that. Spill the beans," Jay whispered.

"What else did you see?" Kai quietly asked him.

"He was fighting Lord Garmadon."

"That's what the prophecy said, that the Green Ninja would defeat the Dark Lord. But did you have a chance to see which one of us was him?" Kai asked.

"Yeah," Jay whispered.

"Do you see?" Cole asked.

Jay did a quiet gasp. "Did you catch his scent?"

"I could not tell. He shared attributes that each of us possess. His scent was familiar, yet at the same time, it wasn't."

"Now, Pinching Crab." Sensei Wu went to a new stretching position and the Ninja followed suit.

"Well, tell us everything, and don't spare any details. There has to be a clue that tells us which one of us is gonna be the Green Nin..." Sensei Wu walked over to Kai and pulled his hair. "Ow, ow, ow! Hey!"

Sensei Wu let go of his grip on Kai's hair and asked, "What was so important to ignore my teachings?"

"Uh, nothing," Kai told him quickly.

"It was nothing, Sensei," Jay told him.

"Yeah, we don't talk while you teach," Cole said.

"Everyone was paying attention," Zane told him.

"Since you all appear to be lacking in focus, then you can all share in the punishment," Sensei Wu told them.

"What?" Kai said shocked.

"Punishment?" Jay said.

"It was all Zane," Cole said while pointing at Zane.

"I was merely answering their questions," Zane told him hoping that the others would be spared from punishment.

"No free time and no video games. The rest of the day can be used for training. And tomorrow, for that matter." Sensei Wu started to walk away to return to his room to meditate.

"Training? For how long?" Kai groaned.

He turned to the Ninja and told them, "Until you can answer this simple riddle: what is the best way to defeat an enemy?"

"Easy, with a sword." Kai did a flip and pretending to wield his sword.

"Your fists." Jay punched the air as if he was fighting an enemy.

"Spinjitzu." Cole spun in the air.

"Tornado of Creation?" Zane stood on one foot when he said his answer.

Sensei Wu sighed. "Pace yourselves. You have a lot of training ahead of you. Make sure you sharpen your mind as well as your Spinjitzu." Sensei walked up the stairs

"Ugh. What's the best way to defeat an enemy? It could be anything, ugh!" Cole took out a bö staff and started to spin it in his hand.

"Come on, guys, we're smart. We can figure this out." Jay started up a spinning dial with axes coming down. Jay started to do front flips as it spun.

Kai punched a punching bag and once he saw Sensei Wu close the door, he was ready to hear more about Zane's dream. "Yeah, but let's hear more about this dream."

The others gathered around Zane. "Let me just say, the Green Ninja is awesome."

On the snowy mountain, Lloyd was leading the Fangpyre to battle the Hypnobrai. They brought all of the Fangpyre including all the vehicles they corrupted. "Go, General!" Lloyd ordered. The Hypnobrai were waiting for the Fangpyre on top of the mountain. Skales was in the front, watching, waiting for the Fangpyre to approach.

"The Hypnobrai. Now to teach them a lesson for betraying Lloyd Garmadon!" Fangtom didn't answer him. "Uh, do your thing, Fangpyre. I let you out of your hole for a reason."

"Attack!" Fangtom stopped driving and stopped his army, once he noticed Skales was the leader. He jumped out of the car, put his staff in the snow then said, "Skales, my old chum!" Fangtom's left head said. "I didn't think I'd be fighting you," Fangtom's right head said. Skales and Fangtom did a few fistbumps. "Hmm, moved up in the world, have we?" Fangtom's left head asked.

"If it isn't the Fangpyre. Of all the cold-blooded to creep up on us, I'm glad it is a friend."

"Wait, I thought you were enemies, not friends," Lloyd said in confusion. 'From everything I was told, the Serpentine were at war with each other. But these tribes are friends?!'

"We were at war." Fangtom's left head said as he turned to Lloyd. "But seeing that Skales is now leading them," Fangtom's right head started. "well, I don't see why we can't be comrades." Lloyd was just looking at the two shocked. He couldn't believe that these tribes were friends.

"Have you released the Constrictai, the Venomari, or heaven forbid the Anacondrai, then we would've had a tussle," Skales told him.

Lloyd was in disbelief and he was angry. "A tussle? A tussle?! But I'm Lloyd Garmadon! Bringer of evil!"

"Hehe. What should we do with him?" Skales asked Fangtom as they turned away from Lloyd.

"I could turn him..." Fangtom's right head started. "...into one of us." Fangtom's left head finished.

"Hmm, no, the little tyke is pretty useless," Skales told him.

"What if you hypnotize him and make him think he's a pig?" Fangtom suggested.

"That'd be pretty funny," Skales said laughing. They both laughed as Lloyd sneaked away from the two Generals.

"Hahaha! Can you imagine?"

Lloyd ran off away from the two generals and some Fangpyre and Hypnobrai started to surround him. Lloyd jumped on the tail of one of the Fangpyre's vehicles to get away from them. The vehicle flung him far away from both Serpentine tribes. Lloyd crashed into the snow. 'Now I lost not just one, but two armies. I'm going to get my revenge if it's the last thing I do.'

"...with his fist on fire," Zane finished with his explanation of his dream to his friends.

"Whoa..." The Ninja were amazed at Zane's dream.

"So I'm the Green Ninja!" Kai said excitedly.

"What are you talking about? He had incredible strength to lift the cargo and save his life. It's me," Cole told him.

"No, no. Did you miss the part of the story where the guy pulled out nunchucks? I have nunchucks." Jay pulled out his nunchucks and held them up.

"I think you're all missing the point of this dream. The Green Ninja could be anyone one of us, I could not tell what he looked like nor could I tell what he smelled like," Zane said trying to stop his friends from fighting. Sadly, it didn't work.

"I think we can cross Cole off the list. I could have lifted ten times..." Jay started but Cole interrupted him. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, cross me off the list. Anyone can hold nunchucks."

Sensei Wu walked up since he noticed that the Ninja were not training. "Since you are not training, you must have already found the answer to my riddle. What is the best way to defeat your enemy?"

"Uh, the best way to defeat your enemy is to... train, Sensei?" Kai asked unsure of his answer.

"Feeble and incorrect. Maybe more training will help you focus." Sensei Wu had his hands clasped together and walked backward to the lower deck. "Remember what happened to your vehicles when you lost focus. A razor-sharp weapon is an extension of a razor-sharp mind." He closed the doors and the Ninja groaned.

"How am I supposed to focus when we don't know who the Green Ninja is?" Jay complained.

"I don't want to be training all day. Let's work together on this riddle. We can figure it out." So, Jay, Kai, Zane, and Cole worked together to figure out the riddle Sensei Wu gave them.

Lloyd, on the other hand, was in the desert reading the map to find another Serpentine tomb. "Had you released the Constrictai, the Venomari, or heaven forbid the Anacondrai, then we would have had a tussle," Lloyd said mocking Skales. Lloyd scoffed. 'Fine, if the Anacondrai can cause a bad war, then I'll control the Anacondrai.' Lloyd moved the map from his view and he saw a large rock structure in the shape of a giant fang reaching for the sky. "I found it!"

Lloyd ran up to the entrance. Lloyd dusted off the door so he could find the door handle. "The Anacondrai. The most feared and powerful Serpentine of them all. And if they're afraid of the Anacondrai then the Anacondrai is what they're gonna get." Lloyd laughed evilly.

Lloyd opened the doors and walked inside. He turned on his flashlight and all he saw were skeletons and dirt everywhere. 'Huh? Where are of all the Anacondrai?'

However, from behind Lloyd, a tall, invisible figure with pink eyes, fangs, and gold stripes. The figure was revealed to be the Anacondrai General. Lloyd jumped back in fear. He fell to the ground and he even dropped his flashlight. The Anacondrai slithered around and Lloyd backed up in fear. "My sincerest apologies, young man." The Anacondrai picked up Lloyd's flashlight and when his neck went up, it was shown that the Anacondrai was very tall. "Oh, dear, due to my unfortunate appearance. I tend to have an unsettling effect on people. Oh, I believe you dropped this." The Anacondrai gave Lloyd his flashlight back once Lloyd was back on his feet. "Ah, there you are."

"Uh, thank you," Lloyd said nervously. Most of the Serpentine he had met were all mean or rude and this one was polite so Lloyd was understandably nervous. "Uh, what happened to the others?" He asked once he turned his flashlight back on.

"Poor, unfortunate souls. All those years locked away with nothing to eat. Must have slowly starved away until they were just scales and bones."

Lloyd can hear the Anacondrai's stomach growling. 'Ah, man. I hope he doesn't eat me... but he seems nice enough.'

"And who may you be, my little appetize—Uh, I mean, friend?"

Lloyd happily answered, "Lloyd Garmadon. Son of Lord Garmadon and future dark ruler."

"Oh, hahahaha. How deliciously evil. If I had feet, ooh, I'd be trembling in my boots."

"And, uh, who are you?" Lloyd asked.

"Humbly, I am Pythor P. Chumsworth. And since you've freed me, I am eternally in your service." Pythor did a small bow to Lloyd.

"Really? You're not gonna trick me?"

"Oh, why would I trick you? I hardly have any friends," Pythor told him. 'This boy is easier to trick then I thought.'

"Whoa. I hardly have any friends too," Lloyd told him. 'Maybe I'll finally have a loyal henchman and a friend!'

"You don't say"

"Hey, how would you like to be my loyal henchman? I've been betrayed by the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyres, and I'm looking to get a little revenge on some Ninja too," Lloyd turned around and said his thought out loud.

Pythor saw the Map of Dens in Lloyd pocket. 'Perfect. This boy will be far to easy to trick,' He thought to himself. 'Hmm, I love revenge! Oh, you know Floyd..."

"It's Lloyd."

"Whatever. I have a feeling this is the start of a beautiful friendship." The two left and Lloyd started to tell him his ideas to cause evil in Ninjago.

Back on the Bounty, the Ninja were still training on deck. Jay was doing flips, Kai was punching a punching bag, Cole was spinning a bö staff, and Zane was balancing on one foot.

"Anyone got a solution to Sensei's riddle?" Cole asked as he transferred the bö staff to his other hand.

"It can't be that hard. What's the best way to defeat an enemy?"

"Zane, you're smart. What is it?"

"I do not know, but I sense that Sensei is going to keep us here if we don't work together and find an answer," Zane told them.

"That bothers me, because while we're here working, that means the enemy is playing." Cole slammed down his bö staff in frustration. 'Who knows what Lloyd and the Serpentine are doing right now.'

Cole is correct. Lloyd and Pythor are playing, in a sense. Lloyd laughed evilly as he and Pythor are moving along Jamanakai Village on a bicycle with Pythor pedaling it while Lloyd sat at the front. They moved along, knocking trash cans down, which made them both laugh wickedly as a dog is heard barking.

"Stop! Stop!" An angry dragonfly hybrid shouted.

In a park, Pythor removed a sign that states that the grass is not to be distributed. Pythor and Lloyd laughed before Lloyd started to jump around on the grass.

Back in the village, Pythor and Lloyd were having a big ice cream as Pythor pushes the ice cream cart and Lloyd stands on it. "Hey, you can't do that!" A penguin ice cream salesman shouted.

At a pond, Lloyd and Pythor picked up a stone and they threw them at two toy boats, causing them to sink into the pond. The two young boys who saw this started crying as Pythor and Lloyd laughed at them. By the fountain, Lloyd and Pythor moved along a row of babies, who were eating candy before taking them. The babies had their own candy stolen by the duo causing them to cry. Lloyd and Pythor left with the candy along with a wheelbarrow full of candy. They were laughing as they deaded back to Pythor's tomb.

"Wow. You're the best henchman a mastermind could ever have," Lloyd told Pythor with candy all over his mouth. Lloyd was laying down on the floor with some cotton candy in his left hand.

"Oh, Lloyd. You're the best mastermind a henchman could ever have." Lloyd laughed. "Hmm, why is it that you have no friends?" Pythor asked him

Lloyd sat up some then said, "Well, I could've had friends back at my Boarding School for Bad Boys, but I decided to run away and never let them see me again." Lloyd laughed evilly.

Now Pythor was confused, but he needed to keep the boy's trust, so he asked, "Really? Uh, why would you run away from making friends? Everybody needs friends, even tyrants."

Lloyd hesitated a bit then said, "Well, uh, maybe I didn't run away. Maybe I uh, I got kicked out."

Pythor was faked shocked. "From the Boarding School for Bad Boys? I don't believe it. I hear they are the breeding ground for the truly despicable. And if you ask me, ho-ho, you are a handful." Pythor licked a green lollipop a bit.

Lloyd sat up and said, "Well, thank you, Pythor, but they told me I wasn't bad enough. They said I lacked the amoral ambition to be one of tomorrow's masterminds."

Pythor stood up and said, "Well, you'll show them."

"That's right. I will show them," Lloyd said once he stood up.

Pythor then said, "Then why don't we?"

"Uh, why don't we what?" Lloyd asked confused.

Pythor threw his lollipop then told Lloyd once he grabbed his wrists. "Let's get revenge on the very school that rejected you. And when the Ninja come to the rescue, we'll have a trap laid out for them."

Lloyd liked the sound of that. "A double revenge?"

Pythor confirmed and he lifted Lloyd up. "A double revenge. Get some rest. Hijacking an ice cream truck is a lot for anyone, and if you're going to rule the world, well, ho-ho-ho, you'll need to get your sleep. Oh, and one more thing."

"Yes?"

"I'll be your friend," Pythor told him.

Lloyd sighed as they hugged. "Oh, Pythor. You're the best."

Lloyd fell asleep on the ground. Pythor laughed as he tried to get the Map of Dens, but Lloyd rolled over much to his annoyance. 'Drat! I'll have to steal the map another time. This boy is far to gullible and perfect for my revenge on the humans and hybrids of Ninjago.'

Sensei Wu was in his room painting a map when the Ninja opened his door. Sensei Wu sensed this, he looked up from his map and at the Ninja. "Oh. You must have found the answer to what is the best to defeat an enemy?"

The Ninja walked inside his room. "We have, Sensei. It's... On three guys. One, two..."

"Teamwork!" The Ninja said together as they put their fists in the center of their huddle.

"Is this what you all think?" He asked.

"Yeah," Cole told him. Zane nodded,

"Yes!" Jay said with confidence.

"Absolutely," Kai told him.

"Sadly, you are all wrong." Sensei Wu went back to drawing his map.

The Ninja groaned in frustration. "Come on," Cole said frustrated.

The Ninja went back to the deck and Cole told the others, "I'm starting to think whoever figures out this riddle can be the Green Ninja for all I care."

An alarm started to ring all over the ship. "What's that?" Jay asked.

"Who cares? It's something else besides training."

The Ninja ran to the Bridge where Nya was waiting for them. "Break it down for me, sis."

"Lloyd and a Serpentine have overtaken Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys."

Jay scoffed and turned to Kai. "That place is a cesspool for the crooked and the misbehaved."

"Doesn't mean they don't need our help. Step on it."

Zane ran over to the button, did a flip, and pressed it with his tail. The rockets and the sails were out and up and the Bounty started to fly to Darkley's.

Everyone was now on deck and the Ninja got together and with their fists in the air together, they shouted, At "Ninja, Go!"

Lloyd laughed evilly as he and Pythor were skating down the hallway after they tied up the teachers and students. "Heh-heh. Hey, how are the booby traps?" Lloyd asked Pythor.

"Every door, window, and hole into this place are spring-loaded."

"Ah, good. I'm sick and tired of those ninjas sneaking their way into my evil doings."

The Ninja arrived at Darkley's School and they were above the school in the clouds. Zane was looking down trying to get a sense of anything in the school. "I cannot hear much from Darkley's. I can smell Lloyd down there and he is with a Serpentine but I am unable to tell if it a Fangpyre or a Hypnobrai. Should we infiltrate using stealth?"

"Ah, we're done that," Kai said as he walked up to Zane. "What about using our weapons that turn into vehicles?"

"I'm still working out the kinds on that," Cole told him as he was working on his Tread Assault. Cole looked up and asked, "Anyone have any other good ideas?"

"Hm. Well, I have one idea, but you guys gotta trust me."

Kai groaned. "I don't think I like the sound of this."

Lloyd and Pythor were on the roof of Darkley's. Pythor was calm but Lloyd was nervous. Lloyd was pacing back and forth on the roof. "Relax, we've made the perfect trap. We're in broad daylight so there isn't any shadows. And from what you told me, one of the ninja is a hybrid. I hid and disguised the traps so well that not even a dog hybrid could detect them. But even if they could get in..."

Lloyd spotted something moving fast in a ditch and he said, "What's that?"

Pythor aimed the cannon and fired it at the quickly moving thing. The net appears to have caught a small lizard. "Oh, good. Yeah, good reflexes. I was just testing you. If I know these Ninjas, they're cleverly sneaking their way right past us at this very moment."

In a sense, Lloyd was right. Jay was having the other Ninja stand on the anchor of the Bounty. Their hands were gripping the anchor and to have a tighter grip, Zane had his tail carefully wrapped around the anchor. "Jay, I don't know about this. The only one of us who can land on their feet is Zane."

"I am unsure myself if I would be able to land on my feet from this height."

"Just hold on tight!" Jay told them. Jay then signaled Nya to drop the anchor. Everyone screamed as the anchor fell. Lloyd and Pythor dodged the falling anchor as it crashed through the roof and all the way down to the ground floor. The Ninja coughed once the when one the ground. Jay was hanging from the next floor up then he dropped to the ground. Cole and Kai were on their backs and Zane was the only one who was able to keep his feet on the ground and his grip on the anchor.

Cole stood up and told the others, "Okay, let's agree to never do that again." The Ninja noticed the students, along with Kruncha and Nuckal were tied up in the room they fell in. Cole lifted his scythe up at the students which made them whimper in fear. Cole cut their rope with his scythe and the student ran away. "Stay out of school, kids." Cole walked up to the tied up Kruncha and Nuckal. "Well, well, well. Kruncha and Nuckal. Substitute teachers, eh? If we cut you down, we better not catch you hang around Ninjago again." Kruncha nodded fearfully and Nuckal shook his head fearfully since they had ducktape over their mouths. "Or else." Cole freed them and they fell to the ground. They ran in separate directions at first then Kruncha followed Nuckal out of Darkley's.

Kai looked up and he saw Lloyd on the roof. "He's on the top floor. Let's get him.

"Ninja, go!" The ninja took out their weapons and they separated. Zane and Kai used their spinjitzu up the stairs, Cole climbed on the anchor chain, and Jay took the elevator.

Pythor was waiting in a room where a trap was waiting to be triggered. Zane and Kai entered that room and the trap was triggered. The two got stuck in a slime-like object. Their heads and arms were out and half of Zane's tail was out.

"Ugh!

"I can't move and I can barely move my tail."

Pythor and Lloyd laughed at Zane and Kai. Lloyd saw Cole coming after him and ran off in fear. Meanwhile, Jay is standing in the elevator and he nearly fell asleep but he shook his head to stay awake.

Cole saw Pythor on a floor so he got off the chain and said with his scythe at the ready, "Prepare to eat dust." Pythor noticed Cole was between the rope so he pulled a rope which made dust fly everywhere. Cole coughs once he fell to the ground and he lost his scythe. Jay finally got off the elevator found him on the ground. "He's got a Serpentine with him. Watch out for booby traps!"

Jay looked at Pythor and a shiver went down his spine. "Ah, that's one big snake."

Pythor got to the roof as Lloyd was running around in a circle. Needless to say, he was pretty scared. "They're coming. They're coming. They're coming!" Pythor closed the door to the roof and barricaded it with a kayak but Jay managed to break it open.

"Shocked to see me?" Jay asked with his nunchucks charging up in his hand.

"Do something!" Lloyd told Pythor. Instead of doing something, Pythor took the map from Lloyd's pocket. Lloyd turned to Pythor and asked, "Wh-what are you doing? I thought you were my friend."

"All you wanted was to make the Serpentine your slave. Well, sorry, my dear boy, I have other plans." Pythor disappeared from the roof leaving Lloyd alone with Jay. Lloyd tried to escape but he couldn't. Jay was starting to close in on him. He looked down from the roof and he gulped after seeing how high he is from the ground. Sensei Wu and Nya arrived on the Bounty and the other Ninja were able to escape from their traps.

Sensei Wu and Nya got onto the roof and Sensei Wu said, "Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, you come here right now."

"I got him." Jay walked over to Lloyd and threw him on his shoulder to bring him to Sensei Wu.

During that time, Lloyd was struggling in Jay's grip. "Whoa! Hey, let me go!"

"What should we do with him? Wash his mouth out with soap... for a year?" Cole suggested.

"Ground him indefinitely?" Kai suggested.

"Maybe have him sit in a corner for a century?" Zane suggested.

"I know exactly what we must do," Sensei Wu told them. Lloyd gulped nervously at the thought of what his uncle might do to him.

Later that night, everyone was back on the Bounty. Sensei Wu was reading a story to Lloyd, who is lying on his uncle's bed. The Ninja stood at the doorway and were watching the scene with annoyed looks on their faces, all except, Zane. He somewhat understood his situation. He had lost his parents when he was younger than Lloyd. Lloyd's father was banished to the underworld, probably when he was a baby and who knows where his mother is. All Lloyd knew was evil, nothing more. So, Zane figured that Master Wu wanted to show Lloyd why snakes shouldn't be trusted, even if he's evil. However, snakes hybrids are better. They try to show that they can be trusted, even if they are part snake.

"And that is why Jack the Rabbit never trusts a snake. The end." Sensei Wu closed the book once he was finished reading it.

"Oh, if my dad had read me that book, I would never have made that mistake. I'm sorry, uncle."

Sensei Wu stood by Lloyd's bed and told him, "Oh, you do not need to apologize. I am sure that if your father was still here, it would be the first book he'd read. Good night, nephew. Sweet dreams." The Ninja were just watching Sensei Wu be kind to him. Sensei Wu brushed Lloyd's hair as if he was comforting him.

"Ah, good night, uncle." Lloyd fell asleep almost instantly. Sensei Wu was about to walk out of his room and the Ninja fled so they wouldn't be spotted by their Master.

Sensei Wu got to the upper deck where the Ninja were waiting. Kai, along with the others, walked up to Sensei Wu and said, "I don't get it, Sensei."

"Why isn't the little brat getting punished?" Jay asked frustrated.

"Yeah, we had to train all day and he gets read a bedtime story? It's not fair," Cole told him.

Sensei Wu turned to his students. "Hmm, you're right, I nearly forgot. Why are you not still training? Did you find the answer to the riddle?"

Kai sighed. "No, Sensei. We still don't know what the best way to defeat your enemy is." The Ninja slowlyl start to walk away to resume their training while hanging their heads defeated.

Sensei Wu, deciding that the Ninja have learned their lesson, said, "It is to make them your friend."

"Oh," The Ninja said simultaneously.

"Of course," Jay said.

"Yeah," Kai said.

Before the Ninja went to their bed, they went to Sensei Wu's room and watch Lloyd as he was sleeping.
