It has been a few days since Lloyd released Pythor and started living with the Ninja on the Bounty. It was just another normal day at the Bounty. Kai was about to play his favorite video games when Lloyd, who was whistling casually, told him from outside of the video game room, "Hey, Kai. Heh. Saw Cole beat your high score. You should've seen it. It was pretty spectacular."
"Uh, you must be talking about "Sitar Legend." This is "Fist to Face II." No one beats me on my game," Kai told him confidently.
"Huh. could be wrong. See you." Lloyd left and Kai booted up the game. "Huh?" Once it loaded he was shocked to see Cole's character with all the high scores: 9370, 7277, 5759, 4209, and 3224. "COLE!"
Cole was in the dining room, making a special soup that took him several days to make. "Mm, mm. Violetberry soup. My culinary achievement. If the recipe is not followed exactly..." Cole tried his soup and he gagged. 'What the heck?! I followed the recipe exactly! Why does it taste bad?!'
Lloyd opened the door at the same time Cole tried his soup and told Cole, "By the way, I saw Jay spice things up. I told him not to, but he said your cooking could use it. Bye, Cole."
Lloyd left the dining room and once he left, Cole spat out the soup in his mouth. "JAY!"
At the same time, Jay was fixing up a training bot. Once he was ready, Jay pushed a button that turned on the robot he built. He took out his nunchucks and was ready to train. "Let's ease our way into this. How about level two, shall we?" Jay pushed another button and the small screen on the robot's chest had a nine on it instead of a two.
Lloyd, who was whistling casually, was walking up the stairs. He stopped, turned to Jay, and told him, "Hey, Jay. I saw Zane try to repair the sparring bot earlier after scratching it with his claws or breaking a wire with his claws or something. Isn't that your expertise? Later, bro." He started to whistle again as he left.
"Wait! What?" Jay tried to turn the sparring bot off, but nothing work. Jay was attacked by the sparring bot as it laughed in victory. "No! No! Zane!"
Lloyd watched as Zane, in his pajamas was about to carrying his laundry basket up the stairs to the deck. Lloyd was a little nervous around Zane. He barely knew any hybrids and all of the ones he had met were always angry at him. There weren't any hybrids at Darkley's, they weren't allowed. Heck, they weren't even allowed on the school grounds. Hybrids were considered dangerous and the more dangerous the kind of the animal the hybrid was, the more dangerous they were. Zane was a snow leopard hybrid, while they weren't dangerous. Though, he still scared him with his claws and fangs. However, Zane was nice to him and he was careful with his claws. Besides, he couldn't worry about that. He had a prank to pull.
Zane had set his laundry basket down and was about to fold it when Lloyd walked up to him. "Hello, Lloyd. What brings you up here this fine morning?" Zane asked him.
"Kai wanted me to pick up his ninja suit. He said he threw it in with your whites." Lloyd searched through Zane's laundry then he found Kai's ninja suit. "Here it is. Thanks" Lloyd then left with Kai's ninja suit in hand.
'Kai's ninja suit?' Zane took out one of his ninja suits and saw it is now pink instead of its usual white. Needless to say, he wasn't happy.
The Ninja met in another room and started yelling at each other about the accusations. Kai shouted at Cole, "You couldn't just be happy with the top score. You had to rub it in my face!"
Cole shouted at Jay, "Do you know how long it took me to make that? Three days. Three days!"
Jay shouted at Zane, "It's an unsaid law, okay? You don't touch a man's robot!"
Zane shouted at Kai with his ears down in anger, "How am I supposed to strike fear and camouflage in this?" Zane showed Kai his pink ninja suit. "It's pink!"
The Ninja continued to argue with each other as Sensei Wu entered their room. He opened to the bathroom door to reveal Lloyd laughing evilly. Behind him were spices to ruin Cole's soup, some tools to ruin Jay's robot, and laundry detergent to ruin Zane's ninja suit.
The ninja gasped. "You did this?!"
"Boys, I get first dibs on..." Cole was about to beat Lloyd up but Sensei Wu stopped him.
"No dibs. I put him up to this for today's lesson. I wanted to show you the destructive power of rumors and that jumping to conclusions can only lead to trouble. Did you ever think to find out if the accusations were true?"
"Uh, no offense, Sensei, but let me jump to this conclusion: today's lesson is lame," Cole told him.
"Yeah, why can't you teach us to paralyze your enemy with one finger? Or find out if a human or hybrid it lying by the twitch of their nose?" Jay asked him.
"Because not all lessons are about fighting," Sensei Wu told them. His tone of voice indicated that this was the end of their annoyance with Lloyd. "And I misplaced my lesson book."
Kai looked and saw the Lloyd had the lesson book in his back pocket. He grabbed the lesson book and showed it to Sensei Wu. "You mean this lesson book?"
"It was the perfect plan, until you had to show up and mess everything up." Cole closed the bathroom door on Lloyd and dusted his hands off.
Over the P.A. system, Nya said, "If you're done fooling around, I could use you guys on the bridge. We do still have a snake problem to attend to. Over and out!"
"It's one thing to let the son of your nemesis live with you. But having my sister here? I mean, come on! I thought this was a ninja headquarters," Kai complained.
"You do know I can hear you. . . over and out!" Nya told him.
Sensei Wu, the Ninja, and Lloyd arrived in the Bridge where Nya was waiting for them. "Last we heard of Pythor, he stole the Map of Dens from Lloyd and is now on his way to open the last two Serpentine tombs.
"Ugh, don't remind me," Lloyd said still feeling guilty about what he did.
"Pythor's our most dangerous threat. If he finds those tombs before we do, with his intellect and all four tribes unleashed, there's no telling what he'll do," Sensei Wu told them. From behind the Ninja, Nya walked over to a small table set up in the bridge.
"But those tombs could be anywhere. Without the map, we might as well just throw darts at a map," Jay said frustrated.
"Good idea. Why don't we?" Kai ducked as Nya threw two darts at a map. One dart was red and the other was green."These are the two locations of the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre tombs."
"Show off," Kai told her, a bit jealous of her skills.
Nya threw another dart on the map and this dart was purple. "And this is Pythor's tomb. After many hours of ruminating on why the tombs were placed in these three precise locations, I discovered a secret pattern." Nya grabbed a flashlight and shined it on the map. The light showed a large red snake and the dark coincided with the darts on the map. "If you notice, all three are in line with the Ninjago symbol for serpent."
Jay walked to the map and said as he pointed out, "So the last two tombs must be here and here." Jay looked at Nya and said, "Ah, you are so smart."
"Ah, was there ever any doubt?" Nya told him with confidence in her voice.
"There's little time. Kai and Jay, you head to the Venomari Tomb. Cole and Zane, you take the Constrictai Tomb. And take this." Sensei Wu handed Cole the Sacred Flute. "You might need it if you run into Pythor. Good luck, Ninja."
"What am I gonna do?" Nya asked.
"Yeah, what are we gonna do?" Lloyd asked, hoping to get out of the Bounty
"Nya, I need you here to make sure Lloyd doesn't get into any more trouble," Sensei Wu told her
Nya sighed in annoyance, "Yes, Sensei."
"Let's go, boys. We got some snakes to club," Cole told the Ninja. They all agreed with him as they ran out of the Bridge to get ready to leave.
Sensei Wu sighed as he stared at the map. "Where are you, Pythor. What are you up to?"
Zane and Cole drove their vehicles to the Constrictai's tomb to search for Pythor. Since it was on a mountain, they had to get out and trek up the rest of the way. Once they were holding their Golden Weapons again, Zane sighed at his pink ninja suit. 'Great, I'm going to stick out everywhere especially with my ears and tail.'
"Well, our vehicles won't traverse the steps. We got the rest of the way on foot."
"But this is the Mountain of a Million Steps. Aren't we pressed for time?" Zane asked.
"Then we take a shortcut." Cole had Zane get on his back so they could get up the Mountain of a Million Steps faster and to make sure Zane was even more secure, Zane wrapped his tail around Cole's waist.
"Am I holding on too tight? Is my tail wrapped around you too tight?"
"Not at all. You're as light as a feather, Pinky." Cole kept climbing the mountain by jumping up and gripping the most sturdy spot. They even pasted the mailman who was climbing up the mountain to deliver mail. He was definitely startled by the Ninja, as he usually was. "Almost there." Rocks nearly hit the mailman and he shouted at the duo in a foreign language.
It didn't take long for Cole to get to the top of the mountain. Once they were there, Cole stopped for a brief moment so Zane could get off his back. They went through some rocks and found a tunnel on top of the mountain. They saw a rope attached to a rock leading down to the tunnel. Zane smelled the area and he could smell Pythor. It was faint but it was there. "Pythor was here. His scent is faint but he was here. Perhaps we should investigate."
"Give me a second. Phew. Go on and start without me," Cole told him.
Zane went down the rope, being careful not to break it with his claws. Once he was on the ground, he pulled out a torch and lit it. He looked around and smell the area. He could smell nothing but dirt. However, he did see something that intrigued him. 'Huh? What is that?' Zane walked closer to a mural and as he went closer to it, Cole has reached the bottom of the tunnel.
"Huh. Didn't Momma Snake ever tell them not to draw on the wall?"
Zane didn't answer Cole's joke but he did say, "These images describe a legend about one tribe uniting them all." Cole walked closer to Zane as he was talking.
"Well, those snakes had been at war with each other for centuries."
"Well, it says here, once they unite, they can find the four Silver Fang Blades that will unleash the Great Devourer, an evil that will consume all of the land, turning day into night," Zane told him.
"You get all that from those little pictures?" Cole asked him. He was impressed since when he met Zane, all he did was read, write, cook, and train. Sure, he played video games on the occasion but not much else. Of course, Zane had explained that he barely knew how to read or write but he enjoyed doing it and learning new languages.
From being the Ninja, as Zane was talking, the ground was moving behind them, as if something was digging underground. "I have been reading many of Sensei's books, but this gives me deep concern. If Pythor's not here and unites all the tribes together before Kai and Jay find him..." Zane started but Cole interrupted him.
"Relax, Zane. They're a bunch of dumb snakes who believes in fairy tales. If anything, we've got all the..." Coel stopped. He could feel the ground move under them and it wasn't an earthquake. "Did you feel that?"
"What?" Zane asked confused, he didn't feel anything nor smell anything that was off. All he could smell was the dirt around them.
Cole looked around them at the ground. "There's something in the ground. Don't move."
Skalidor came above the ground and wrapped his tail around Zane with a tight grip. "I've been waiting for you. Pythor sends his regards."
Zane struggled in his grasp. "Did you stay behind just to tell us that? Pathetic."
"Look who's calling who pathetic, Pinky," Skalidor told him as he tightened his grip on Zane.
Cole took out his scythe and told Skalidor, "Only I call him Pinky." Cole hit the ground with the Scythe of Quakes and it caused Skalidor to release his grip on Zane. Skalidor then went back underground. Cole knew that they didn't have much time before Skalidor came back so he told Zane, "Zane, go for the rope." As they were running, Zane was able to make it to the rope but Cole fell underground.
"Cole?" Zane shouted, hoping his friend would answer.
Cole was shoved out of the ground and Skalidor started to circle the two. Skalidor started to go after Cole, but once Cole started to play the flute.
"NO!" Skalidor wrapped his tail around Cole and started to choke him.
"Zane. Zane," Cole rasped out. Cole dropped the flute and Zane dropped his torch to grab the flute. He spinjitzu was pink and the flute could hurt him but he didn't care, he needed to save his friend. "Ninja, go!" Zane started to play the flute but Skalidor started to choke Zane with his hand.
Zane, using the breath he was able to get in, continued to play the flute. Skalidor used his other arm to wrap Zane in another tight hold. Zane's back was against Skalidor, his arms were to his side and the flute was released from his grip. "What now, Pinky?"
"The one thing we have in common," Zane rasped out.
"What? We have nothing in common, hybrid."
"You'd be surprised..." Zane grabbed the flute with his tail and continued to play. Zane played with what little breath he had. This was enough to make Skalidor release his grip on the two Ninja and cover his ears in pain.
Cole grabbed his scythe from the ground, "Wrap your head around this." Cole hit Skalidor with his scythe, knocking the Constrictai general out.
"Ah. Good one," Zane commented as he grabbed the flute with his hand.
"Thanks. You too, grabbing the flute with your tail, but if he was expecting us, I think Kai and Jay are walking into a trap. Come on. Let's get out of here." Zane and Cole left the Constrictai tomb and made their way to the Toxic Bogs to help Kai and Jay.
At the same time, Kai and Jay arrived at the Toxic Bogs on their own vehicles. Once they arrived at the Toxic Bogs, they made their vehicles turn back into their Golden Weapons. "Ew." Jay covered his nose at the stench of the Toxic Bogs.
"Hey, it's not me. we're in the Toxic Bogs. This stuff will eat through you worse than Cole's Chili," Kai told him as he picked up a stick and showed how toxic the Toxic Bogs were. They burn the stick like acid. 'Man, good thing Zane wasn't sent here, the smell alone would destroy his nose or burn the fur off his tail. I guess it's good we didn't bring the flute here either. If it falls in the Toxic Bogs, then we are in trouble.
Jay and Kai jumped through the trees to avoid touching the swamp in the Toxic Bogs. The swung on a vine then continued to jump from branch to branch until they arrived at the Venomari Tomb. Kai and Jay opened the tomb and a horrific smell came out of it. "Pee-yew," Jay said pinching his nose through his mask.
The tomb echoed back at him. "Pee-yew." Jay chuckled at the
Kai sighed. Something told him that Jay was going to have fun with the echo, but he wasn't going to let it distract him, even though he thought it was funny. "Let's just make this quick before Pythor gets here." Kai heard a stranged sound from behind him so he went to check it out. "Huh?"
Meanwhile, Jay checked inside the tomb and he saw nothing inside. He stuck his head out and told Kai, "This place looks empty. We must've just missed them." Wanting to play with the echo more, Jay said inside the cave, "Check this out. They say you're the Green Ninja, but I say I am."
"I am. I am," The echo said back.
"I am!" Jay shouted.
"I am! I am!" The echo said back at the same intensity. Jay laughed in amusement. He was definitely going to have fun with this.
Kai heard a frog croak and it startled him. He took out his sword. Kai sighed in relief, not seeing the green snake head popping up from the bog. "You shouldn't sneak up on people like that. Heh, if I wasn't such a well-trained Nin..." The frog jumped onto a rock but it wasn't a rock, it was a Venomari. Spitta came out from the bog and used his venom on Kai. Kai freaked out and tried to wipe the venom from his eyes but it was too late. His eyes were a light green and Kai called out for Jay as he was being surrounded by Vemonari., "Ugh! Jay? Jay!"
Jay, unfortunately, was still distracted by the echo. "No, I'm the real Jay!"
"No, I'm the real Jay!"
More Venomari and some Constrisstarted to surround Kai as the venom started to kick in. Kai watched as the Vemonari transformed into elves and gingerbread people. "Oh, this is not good. Jay! Jay! There's so many. Elves and gingerbread people everywhere." Kai dropped his sword and fell to the ground in fear as he was being surrounded.
Jay, now ready to help Kai, took out his nunchucks. "Okay, I don't know what you're seeing, but this is no time to lose yourself. I need you, partner."
Kai stood up and told Jay fearfully, "I've never fought little people before. We're toast!"
Luckily, Cole and Zane arrived on their own vehicles. Once they were out of them, they had their weapons out and were ready to help their friends. "Anyone order a little kick butt?"
Cole, since he landed near the cave entrance, his echo said, "Butt. Butt. Butt." Causing Jay to laughed in amusement.
Pythor came from behind Cole and Zane startling them both. "Boo!"
Jay jumped back in fear. "Aah!" With Vemonari and Constrictai behind them and Pythor in front of them. Zane put his shurikens away, lifted his hood, and tried to play the flute but Pythor took it.
"Oh, let's not let music ruin things, hmm? Besides, a young hybrid like you shouldn't be listening to music like this. Damages the ears, ya know?" The Ninja, being surrounded by three snakes tribes, were forced to jump onto a log. Once on it, it started to slowly drift away. "I've got a sinking feeling this may be the last I see of you four." Pythor laughed evilly as he, along with the other tribes, was as the log the Ninja were standing on started to sink.
"That's it. I used to hate dragons, but now I officially hate snakes. Not snake hybrids, just snakes!" Cole shouted.
"Wait, do you see that? A magic floating rope. We can climb to safety." Kai nearly went into the Toxic Bog but Jay pulled him back.
"Boy, that Venomari Venom is some powerful stuff," Jay commented. The Serpentine laughed at the Ninja as they watched the Ninja slowly sink to their deaths.
Zane, with his tail high up to avoid getting his fur burned off, told his friends. "For whatever it is worth, it was an honor to fight beside you all."
"Me too," Cole agreed.
"Yeah, ditto," Jay nodded in agreement.
A rope came down front the sky, just inches above the Toxic Bog but close enough to the Ninja to save them. "Hey, what?" Cole said confused.
"The magic rope. Ha," Kai said dazedly.
"Quick. Everyone, climb over." The Ninja climbed on the rope and watched as a Samurai appeared in a large mechanical suit. The Samurai used his suit to fire a metal net on two Constrictai but they escaped by digging away. A few Venomari escaped by diving into the Toxic Bogs.
"Oh, dear." Pythor could tell that he and the other Serpentine were in trouble.
Samurai X opened his suit and said, "Pythor target confirmed. Time to bag and tag." He shot a dart in Pythor's as he ran
Once the Ninja were back on solid ground and safe from the Toxic Bogs, Cole asked Samurai X as they approached him, "Who are you?"
"How about the coolest thing I've ever seen?" Jay said excitedly. 'This is awesome! We have another ally to combat the Serpentine.
"Santa?"
Zane walked up to Samurai X and did a small bow, "Thank you, mysterious warrior. I owe you my life for saving..." Samurai X said nothing as he lifted his hand up and sprayed gas in Zane's face. Zane fell unconscious immediately after. "Ugh."
"Now that wasn't nice." Samurai X knocked the rest of the Ninja out the same way then got back into his suit then left. A few minutes later, The Bounty flew overhead and picked them up.
Later that night, the Ninja gathered at the dinner table, in their pajamas, and told Lloyd, Sensei Wu, and Nya what happened and how they got unconscious. "So then, just when we were gonna bite it, this huge mechanical robot..." Jay was explaining was happened then Zane interrupted him. "Samurai. It was Samurai."
"A Sama-what?" Lloyd asked, not know what a Samurai was.
"Samurai. Highest level of warrior class. They would protect nobility and serve with honor on the battlefield," Sensei Wu told them.
Kai, still under the influence of the Venomari spit, said, "He was a hundred feet high, with weapons coming out every part of him." Kai looked at Sensei Wu and whispered to Cole, "Look at Sensei's beard." In Kai's eyes, Sensei Wu's beard was moving. "It's moving like snakes." As Kai was talking, Nya and Cole, who were sitting next to him, were getting annoyed with Kai.
When is this Venomari spit supposed to wear off? It's starting to get annoying." Nya watched as her older brother picked up a shrimp and hit it against his cheek instead of inside his mouth.
Cole, wanting to ignore the Samurai, said, "Okay, don't let this mysterious Samurai cloud what's really important. All the Serpentine are out, and if Pythor can unite them, the legend states some Great Devourer is gonna consume the land and..."
"Great Devourer?" Nya said confused.
"Whatever it is, it's a can of worms I don't wanna see open," Cole said.
Lloyd groaned. He still felt guilty about releasing the Serpentine. "It's all my fault. If I hadn't opened the first hatch, none of this would've happened."
Sensei Wu told them, "We cannot change the past, but we can affect the future. At least we have the Sacred Flute in our possession, so..."
"Yeah, ahem. About that..." Jay started but he was nervous to finished her sentence after spilling his tea.
"Pythor sort of stole it," Zane told him finishing his sentence.
"The last Sacred Flute gone?" Sensei Wu sighed. Even though he was upset at the Ninja, he was not going to show it. "You four are Ninjago's last hope."
The alarm suddenly started going off. "Cold vision must have caught something. That means the Serpentine are near."
"Oh, no! Ninjago City?" Everyone went to the bridge and watched as Nya loaded the screen up. The screen showed Ninjago City and underneath the city were four long lines that were all different colors: Green, Orange, Red, and Blue.
"How many are there?" Jay asked.
"Looks like all of them," Kai answered.
"Pythor must be trying to unite them," Zane said.
Sensei Wu told the Ninja, "Go. We mustn't let the five tribes unite."
The Ninja left the bridge and did their spinjitzu to change into their uniforms. "Ninja, go!"
Zane looked at his pink suit and sighed. "I must get this taken care of."
Due to the Venomari venom, Kai did his spinjitzu but he lost focus and fell to the ground. "Whoa!"
Jay helped Kai up and told him, "Don't worry. It'll wear off soon. For now, you're coming with me."
The Ninja skydived off the Bounty, first Jay and Kai, who screamed in Jay's grip, then Cole and Zane. Cole looked back at Zane, whose tail and ears were flapping in the wind. "Ah. I love the smell of land hurtling towards you in the middle of the night." Zane nodded in agreement. He felt his ears pop, but other than that, he felt thrilled. Eventually, each Ninja, except for Kai, summoned their vehicle and landed on the ground with no issues and no damages.
"Whoa." Everyone was amazing at the lights, sounds, and even the humans and hybrids in the city.
"Ninjago City," Kai said amazed.
"Amazing," Zane said breathlessly. Even though he normally would refuse to enter the city as he feared getting heavily ridiculed by humans in the city, he thought the city was amazing. His parents and other hybrids warned him about cities. Humans were much harsher to hybrids in cities than anywhere else.
"Always heard stories of this place," Kai told them.
"Biggest city in all of Ninjago. Always wanted to come here,"
"Yeah, I always dreamed of one day being on a billboard here," Cole told his friends.
"You too?" Jay asked.
"Yeah, I did too," Kai said, agreeing with his friends.
Zane, wanting to keep his friends focused, said, "Uh, but may I remind you where are the snakes? We should be standing in the middle of a massive Serpentine gathering. I don't even smell them here." That's when they realized that the Serpentine were above ground, they were under it. They walked towards a manhole that led to the sewers.
"Ugh, I hate snakes," Cole commented.
Down in the sewers at an abandoned train station where three snake trains were blocking the tracks. All the Serpentine tribes were together, chattering amongst themselves while Pythor is getting ready.
"You'll have to use more than words to bring the Serpentine together," Skales told Pythor.
"All I have to do is show them the way," Pythor told him.
"They're ready for you, Pythor," Acidicus, the Venomari General, told him.
"Ah. Showtime." Pythor slithered to the top of the middle train and started speaking, which caused the Serpentine to quiet down, "Friends, enemies, and enemies who pretend to be friends." The Serpentine laughed at his joke. "I welcome you."
As Pythor was talking to the Serpentine, the Ninja, being unseen, watched from the second floor. "That's a lot of snakes," Cole commented, noticing all the snakes.
"What are we gonna do?" Jay asked, wondering how they were going to stop the Serpentine without being captured.
Kai got an idea instantly. "I have an idea. Follow my lead." The Ninja followed him and watched as Kai executed his plan.
"And what is with the Constrictai and their vice-like grip? Let it go already." Pythor joked. All the Serpentine laughed at his joke.
Fang-Suei said to another Hypnobrai, "It's funny because it's so true."
"Heh, but in all seriousness, the reason why I called this gathering is because... the good humans and hybrids of Ninjago imprisoned us in those insidious tombs, and I want to return them the favor." They cheered at Pythor's idea. However, they don't notice Kai sliding down a rope from the ceiling.
"That sounds like a great plan, but you know the Hypnobrai will screw it up," Kai shouted for everyone to hear.
Mezmo, a Hypnobrai, asked annoyed and offended, "Who said that?"
Kai went back up to the ceiling and Jay said behind the Fangpyre, "Those buck teeth can bite my rear end."
"Huh?" Spitta said.
"I bet they're drinking their own venom," Cole said from around the corner.
"All that digging must have given them dirt for brains," Zane said from the ceiling.
The Serpentine started fighting with one another and started to ignore Pythor and fight each other. Pythor noticed this immediately but he could not hear what the other Serpentine were hearing. "What's going on? Why am I losing them?"
Skales just shrugged. Once he looked at the second floor, he saw Cole running. "Ninja! Don't worry, I'll take care of it."
Cole watched from the second floor as the Serpentine continued to fight with each other. Cole didn't even notice the Constrictai digging under him. It grabbed him instantly as he screamed in surprise. On the first floor, Zane and Jay watched as Kai was dragged underground by the Constrictai. Jay and Zane watched as the ground moved, indicating that someone or something was moving underground. They started to flee to make another plan and save Kai and Cole but Jay was captured next by four Constrictai. Zane stopped and was about to help Jay, but he told his hybrid friend, "Run!"
Zane was about to help Jay but more Constrictai came up from the ground and started to chase him. He ran into another tunnel but he came to a dead end. He tried to open the gate but it was locked. 'I don't have time to unlock it with my claws. I will just have to hide. I'm part snow leopard, but I can't camouflage with this pink suit or without snow.' Zane's ear flickered, indicating that the Constrictai were getting closer. He had no choice but to hide in front of a poster. Zane held his breath and closed his eyes, ready to get caught as the Constrictai ran inside the tunnel he was in. They looked around, stood in front of the poster he was hiding behind but just ran back. Zane waited for them to leave. 'How did they not see me?' Zane looked at the poster and saw that it was the same shade of pink as his suit and to top it all off, the wall he was next to had a snow leopard pattern spray-painted on it. 'My pink ninja suit camouflaged me. I must thank Lloyd later but right now, I must save the others.'
All of the Serpentine tribes were still fighting with each other due to the rumors that the Ninja spread. Once Skales returned, Pythor asked him, "Did you take care of them?"
"All but one." Skales showed him Kai, Jay, and Cole tied up in a closet.
"Search every nook and cranny. If he's a Ninja, you'll never find him in plain sight and he's a hybrid. His tail should be a dead give away, it has fur on it!" Pythor told him.
Chokun pointed to the second floor where Zane was swinging on a rope above them all. "Look, a Pink Ninja!"
"Go, Pink Ninja, go!" Kai, Cole, and Jay shouted.
Zane kicked Pythor and Skales off the train then proceeded to free the other Ninja. The Serpentine were cheering for some reason as Zane used his claws to free the others. "Unh. Now let's get out of here." The Serpentine chased after the Ninja as they escaped. They tried to get on the train but they used the ropes to swing away. They continued to run through the tunnels as the Serpentine chased them. "Let us blow this popsicle stand. Ninja, go!" Zane used his Spinjitzu as he prepared the next phase of his plan.
"Popsicle stand. Haha, I like it!" Jay commented.
Zane used his shurikens of ice at cover the entire tunnel in ice then he summoned his Snowmobile. Zane wrapped his tail around his waist as the others climbed on. They escaped just seconds before the Serpentine caught up with them. As they were escaping Jay nearly fell off the Snowmobile but he was holding on the edge with a tight grip.
The Serpentine were trying to run on the ice but found themselves unable to as they kept slipping. Skales and Pythor were struggling even more since they had no legs. Pythor slipped on his back and Skales helped him up. "You'll have to do better than that to unite the tribes."
"Get your hands off me!" Pythor shouted angrily.
The Ninja made it back to the Bounty with no issues and a sense of victory. They were all eating dinner, except for Lloyd who was nowhere in sight and Zane was in his pajamas. "You know, whether it was in a lesson book or not, we used the destructive power of rumors to our advantage," Cole told them.
"And now the Serpentine are further away than ever from getting their act together," Kai said.
"You know, I don't think we would've gotten out of there if it hadn't been for Zane," Jay said.
Zane blushed a bit then said, "Don't thank me. Thank Lloyd. If it hadn't been for his "laundry skills" and a little bit of luck, we all would've been found." Everyone laughed then Lloyd came in with Zane's now white ninja suit,
"Well, it took me twenty loads, but your suit's no longer pink. And to show that I'm sorry, Cole, I got you a can of nuts." Lloyd tried to give Cole a can of nuts but Cole refused.
"Uh, haha, yeah. Don't think I don't see what this is. When I open this, a bunch of snakes are gonna pop out, right? Yeah, no thank you." Cole went to the fridge and opened it, only to discover that there are snakes inside as they pop out at him. Needless to say, he freaked out but everyone laughed in amusement at the small prank Lloyd pulled.
