A/N: Sorry for another long wait again. Once again, time constraints got to me earlier this year and in June. Saw some movies like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World: Dominion, Lightyear, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Thor: Love and Thunder and most recently Nope, while I worked on a few other fanfiction stories in the meantime, and as always, I've still kept in touch on continuing this story and the current seven-part midseason finale event. CHAPTER 2
The Fellowship of the Samurai
SENGOKU ISLAND
1:10 PM
Deep within the forest of Sengoku Island, Team RWBY and their group were walking together on the path they took to the left while Ennis and the other group went to the one on the right.
"You sure this will take us to the treasure, Ruby?", Athena asked.
Ruby answered, "I think so. There's no rhymes or riddles on these maps since it's not fantasy-based like Dungeons and Dragons and has a different national folklore... Luckily my Scroll has a compass as we're travelling north right now."
"There's only forest or jungle reserve that's around that distance like the ones in Edo Island, so that'd be it.", Yang added.
Baiken admitted, "Well, I, for one, am glad to be long-term friends with you, team RWBY, especially with Athena, Yume and Cameron. After all, we are Critiques. Isn't that right?"
"Yes, Baiken.", replied Ruby.
Lily questioned, "Critiques?"
"It's like the Avengers, but definitely not a knock-off but rather an inspiration. The name is also because of our part-time occupation of reviewing movies, shows, games and such.", excused Miria.
Lily recounted, "Is that so? Well, Fena and I tend to review nostalgic video games, some good, some bad. You?"
"I review comic books. Marvel, DC, this and that.", Miria told, "I decided to dress in this Star-Lord costume because I think the Guardians of the Galaxy are my favorite."
The female R.I.S. detective answered, "That's nice to know. The Ten Rings I decided to use looks more like it's from the movie rather than the comics... I guess because it wasn't trying to be very similar to the Infinity Gauntlet for some reason... Speaking of which, we haven't seen it in that pile of stuff you guys brought and I sure as well do not want to see half of the universe get snapped from existence..."
"Believe me, we all don't want that.", Keith said as he was still having trouble figuring out the combination of the briefcase he was given.
Cameron in the meantime told her samurai friend Baiken whilst in her exosuit, "At least with these costumes and the exosuit I'm wearing, we're gaun to have a great adventure."
"You know, Cammie, I got to admit that although your exosuit may look a bit hilarious in terms of height and bulkiness, it does look rather good on you. Not saying you're getting into character a little much.", Baiken considered to Cameron.
The blonde hacker asked, "What do you mean?"
"I'm just saying your exosuit would come in handy like the rest of us and how I decided to cosplay as Hawkeye.", Baiken told.
Cameron shrugged, "Well, I decided to cosplay as Hulk, but once again, I didnae want to paint my face green like Shrek or all that mince. I just figured the exosuit is fine."
"Thought so.", Baiken impressed.
As Ruby and Yang read the Sengoku Island map they borrowed from Baiken as the group still walked along the path they took, Yume asked, "Where are we going? What does the map say?"
"According to the map, there happens to be four major settings in the west, east, north and center.", Ruby told, "The southern part was the beach we arrived at called Shiroi Sunahama... Which I think translates to The White Sands. The western part of this island we're on right now is called Chikurin, which I think translates as the Bamboo Forest... The eastern part that our other friends are on is named Yanagi no Mori, which I think translates to as the Willow Woodlands... And the northern part of it must be called Shinobu-mura, translating as the Shinobu Village... The center part of Sengoku island looks to be the main area like the Samurai Kingdom back in Edo Island although it's stated to be named Shogun Central, or rather Shogun Chuo if translated in Japanese. They're very different compared to the other island we've visited. Still hard to follow, but we'll get used to it."
Yume guessed, "Do those locations play a crucial part on this journey, or...?"
"We're doing the best by searching for this treasure.", Yang instructed, "Just keep our eyes peeled, okay?"
Penny said, "Clear as crystal."
"We're invested about the moo-lah we're going to get once we find this time. I'm not saying this because of greediness, definitely not, but rather of optimism."
Pyrrha kindly complemented, "You are optimistic sometimes, Nora."
"Thanks.", the orange-haired JNPR member said to her girlfriend.
The red-brown-haired girl answered back, "Alrighty."
"Well, if there's one of many things great heroes would do, it's to keep our hopes, patience and morale up. And for that, why not sing a great song along the way, something from around the time disco died.", suggests Miria.
Kaede and Enju both ask in unison, "Disco? It died?"
"Actually, it didn't. What it meant was the events of the Disco Demolition Night riot that happened back in July 12, 1979, the same year when not only the musical genre of disco was declining, but it was the same year when Alien, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Apocalypse Now came out.", Winter excused.
Weiss felt surprised by her sister's knowledge, "That's what I was going to say."
"Well, we all know our stuff.", Blake added before asking Miria, "What's the song you were thinking about?"
Miria said as she held her Walkman she equipped with her chosen Star-Lord outfit, "Well, I'm sure you know this, from the first Guardians of the Galaxy film and by the band Redbone.", before she started singing along to the current song playing on the Walkman;
Miria: Come and get your love... Come and get your love...
Blake and Weiss both said, "We know that. It's a great song, but why not something else?"
Miria looked perplexed by this as she paused the song on the Walkman she was carrying, before changing it as she sang the next song;
Miria: If you like pina coladas...getting caught in the rain...
"Rupert Holmes is fine, but is there any other song besides that right now?", Ruby and Yang both told.
Once more, Miria paused her Walkman and hesitated before choosing a different song, before singing;
Miria: Ooh, child, things are gonna be easier... Ooh, child, things will get brighter...
Lily Hoshina finally told her, "Miria, those are all great jukebox songs, but can our friends just pick a song at this time instead for now?"
"Okay.", apologized Miria.
Ruby held up her Scroll and picked the song, "Oh, have we got the perfect song? We played this and sung together earlier and had a lot of fun, so it's time for Open Sesame!", playing the song by Kool and the Gang as she said during the melody, "Groove with the genie. Shazam!"
Team RWBY, Athena, Cameron, Yume and Baiken: Open sesame of life! Fly... Open up your mind!
Lily astonished, "I never knew you guys loved Kool and the Gang."
"For the eight of us, it's our favorite. From the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever featuring John Travolta.", reminiscenced Yang, "This is our jam."
Keith pondered, "We see."
As the group walked together, Ann (still in her grey makeup as part of her Drax cosplay) and Futaba stop where they saw something in the bamboo forest.
"Look, guys.", noticed Ann, "I think I see someone within the forest on our left."
Futaba doubted, "It could be trouble..."
"What?", Ruby asked as she, Yang, Blake, Weiss and the others gathered with Ann to see where she was pointing at.
Ann reported, "It looks like there's someone over there."
"What about it?", questions Yang.
The orange-haired girl said, "Maybe it is a stranger...?"
"Perhaps she needs our help?", assumed the platinum-blonde wavy-haired girl.
Ruby thought it over, "No, that can't be it..."
"Ruby, you do realize that a finger to the throat means death, right?", Ann warned.
Yang assumed, "Why would you say that?"
"Metaphor.", Ann muttered in correction.
Miria shrugs, "Sorta."
"Well, threat or not, maybe this person knows where the treasure is...", Baiken presumes, "There are some inhabitants on this island I met and know before who prefer to grow out their hair."
Cameron replied, "That makes sense. I'd agree with you there, my friend.", making the pink-haired samurai smile.
Ruby confided, "Well, even if this person has a clue on the treasure's location, what could possibly make a connection to-", before they saw the person turn around...
...and it appears to be a woman wearing what appears to be a vintage 17th century suit, having long dark-blonde hair, green eyes, was between Ruby and Yang's height, and had a feminine appearance with a good personality.
"Didn't see you there.", the dark-blonde woman greeted, "Your outfits really surprised me."
Ruby muttered to Keith doubtingly, "I hope we're not in the Victorian era..."
"I don't think so.", Keith Kazama Flick corrected to the team RWBY leader.
The dark-blonde woman told, "I was trying to find this treasure I've heard that's supposed to be somewhere on this island. I wandered off from my group hoping I'd find it, but I may have gotten lost for a bit. Now, since you guys are here, wearing...strange suits or apparel of sorts...maybe could you give me the map you have so I can find it?"
"Well, we're looking for the same thing. We've heard too. If it's not much trouble, then maybe-", Ruby offered before she and the others realized something a bit off, "Wait a second, why would we give you the map?", the leader of team RWBY now saying this skeptically.
The dark-blonde woman casually continued, "Just asking... This treasure is rumored that it might be as far more valuable than anything else on the planet...", wondering, "So valuable it's been buried very secretly yet would not befall a curse on those who search for it."
"There's no curse about the treasure we're searching for. Nothing of the sort.", Baiken skeptically reasoned.
The dark-blonde woman says, "If it's not a bother, if I find it, it would be best if I take it back to our ship- I mean, my friends."
RWBY and their friends all look more skeptical upon hearing this.
"Hold on... Your ship?", Blake asked.
Weiss questioned, "Who are your friends exactly?"
"Better yet, you didn't tell us your name... What's your name?", Athena Cykes carefully questioned.
The dark-blonde woman simply introduced herself...
"I am Flora Burn Rose."
Ruby referenced, "Flora... You have the same last name as mine-", before turning to her friends privately, "You guys thinking what we're thinking?"
"Flora Burn... She's named after one of the female pirates in history back in the 18th century...", Yume supposed.
Cameron pondered in realization, "Does that mean-"
When Ruby turned back to see Flora, she suddenly saw her hand creep into her inner pocket...
...and her silver eyes widened as she was about to pull something shiny out...
...as if it was a weapon.
Right away, "EVERYONE, ASSEMBLE!", as she and Yang's headpieces of their iron armor closed as they, Miria and Penny took to the air, while Lily straight away came at Flora first by shooting the Ten Rings one by one towards her.
Flora quickly pulled out a sword and deflected the Ten Rings just seconds before they ricocheted back towards Lily like a boomerang and attempting to strike Flora, but she dodges them when they zoomed near her.
As soon as the Ten Rings returned to Lily's arms, Flora tried to strike Lily with her sword but Lily holds her arm out, the Rings protecting her arms from the blade. Without hesitation, Lily tries to use melee combat to fight against her but suddenly saw Flora pull out another sword from the suit's other inner pocket.
Just then, Ruby and Yang zoomed down and used their repulsors to shoot at Flora, and are also joined by Miria who uses the quad blasters she equipped with her Star-Lord outfit to shoot as well, distracting Flora as she dashes away from the blasts.
Cameron grabbed a nearby bamboo tree, snapping it in half and using it as kendo-like swords, joining Baiken and Athena to try to attack Flora.
But Flora slashes the snapped bamboo wood Cameron had as use of weapons, shoves Athena to the ground, and was about to strike Baiken...
...but the pink-haired samurai used her samurai sword to block the two swords Flora was trying to strike her with, fighting back against her attack.
Yume intervenes by helping Baiken to try using her electrical Black Widow's Bite bracelets equipped with her chosen Black Widow outfit in order to knock Flora out, but the latter swipes her attack with one of her swords, accidentally causing Yume to discharge the electrical bracelets on herself, knocking her out!
"YUME!", Cameron said worryingly, before she started getting enraged at Flora for harming her girlfriend; she stood up after she was knocked down earlier by Flora, walking towards her in might, "HULK SMASH!"
Flora tries to strike Cameron, but the latter used her exosuit to block the sword with her hand, unharming her as the exosuit Cameron wore was metallic.
At the same time when Cameron and Baiken attempt to strike back at Flora with Cammie about to punch Flora while Baiken aims her crossbow weapon at Flora as well, Ruby and Yang flew back to land a few repulsor blasts at Flora, but the latter uses Cameron as a shield as the blasts landed on the exosuit, deflecting them away instead of harming their friend.
Pushing Cameron and Baiken away, Flora then pulled out a few daggers and threw it at Ruby and Yang, who both dodged this as they try to get a better angle.
Flora then heard Ann yell as the wavy-haired platinum-blonde girl tries to attack furiously with two blades, while the former blocks her attacks expertly as the fight goes on.
Fortunately, Futaba then suddenly lunged at Flora from behind while she was attacking Ann, climbing on top of her, put her hands on her temples and shouted;
"SLEEEEEEP!"
A moment of silence occurs.
As Futaba looks down, she and Ann find that Flora was still wide awake during the battle.
Without hesitation, Flora threw Futaba off her and at Ann, knocking the two of them down.
Flora felt a mix of fire and ice hit her from behind as she turned to see Cinder and Winter team up on fighting against her, while moving away as Penny used her guns to try to shoot Flora down.
Swiftly, Flora dodges the incoming line of fire and dashes through the bamboo trees to try to evade the attack while also waiting for the inevitable moment to strike one of the others.
Pyrrha, Nora and Mika-Celty then fought Flora once she comes in the open again, blocking her attack while protecting their friends Inori, Rachel and Anri, just before Athena threw Mjolnir at Flora, successfully hitting her.
Athena battle cried, "Feel the wrath of the mighty hammer!"
And when Flora is about to retaliate, a familiar vibranium shield hits her in the face which distracts her from attacking Athena.
The shield ricocheted back to none other than Blake, as she then said, "If you want to hurt our friends, you gotta go through us first!", before immediately throwing the shield towards her.
Flora deflects the shield with one of her swords, but is right away hit from behind by another shield, ricocheting and revealing the other being Weiss.
With Flora trying to deflect two shields at once as Blake and Weiss take quicker turns throwing the shield, they try to strike her as fast as they could while the others watched...
...and both shields surprisingly were thrown quickly at the same time just as Flora was starting to get tired, hitting her in the head before the shields returned back to the two huntresses.
This brutal force finally had Flora collapsing to the ground, now in an unconscious state.
Seeing their enemy fall, Ruby, Yang, Penny, Cinder and Winter land while Cameron and Baiken got back up from their battle against Flora, before everyone (except Blake, Weiss, Cinder, Keith and Yume) cheered victoriously.
"That sure is one spectacular move there!", Miria praised.
Ann acclaims, "Righteous, Blake and Weiss!"
"Never thought I'd see two courageous captains seize the moment with their star-spangled heroism.", Lily told.
Blake agreed, "Right you are, Lily. Thanks."
"That is how it's done.", Weiss also said.
Ruby and Yang's headpieces to their Iron Man suits opened up again, the former telling, "Well, that was a close call right there."
"And now that we've mentioned it...", reminded Yang as she and Ruby led the others to where Yume was knocked out by Flora.
Seeing the unconscious red-brown-haired girl, they all looked worried for their friend.
"Is she going to be all right?", Lily wondered anxiously.
Ann answered, "Hope so. We can't lose anybody here. We've just made some strong bonds over the past couple years."
"Well, I wonder what can wake her up. Definitely not electricity because it might stop her heart if I electrocute her.", Athena doubted, looking at the hammer Mjolnir she was holding.
Baiken questioned, "Is mouth-to-mouth an option? I shouldn't do it since I'm already married to Aria."
"Well, since Yume's my girlfriend, I'll do it.", offered Cameron casually.
Blake and Weiss entrusted, "Go work your magic."
"Yeah, you can do it.", Ruby and Yang agreed.
Miria nodded, "Yep."
Cameron leaned down to the unconscious Yume, as she started to carry Yume bridal-style slowly.
Soon after a few moments, Yume was starting to regain consciousness, opening her eyes to see Cameron's face, now smiling happily upon seeing her okay along with the others much to their delight.
Yume blushed romantically before saying, "Hey.", caressing Cameron's cheek before referencing, "Sun's getting real low..."
"...You do realize it's still daytime, right?", the blonde gen:LOCK recruit asked.
The red-brown-haired girl understood, "Of course.", before she asked the others, "Did we win?"
"Apparently, that pirate girl should be knocked out for a while. Perhaps she's one of those assiliant people who came to this island to pillage and plunder...", Ruby speculated.
Athena sighs and then asked Kaede and Enju, "Kaede? Enju?"
"Aye!", the two ninja pirate twin brothers called in unison.
The orange-haired girl rustled her hair, "Have you ever came across this pirate during your adventures, if possible?"
"Well... No.", corrected Kaede, "Actually, we never met Flora Burn Rose before. Neither did Fena, Karin, Yukimaru, Shitan, Tsubaki or Makaba. In fact, we remembered there was only eight of them when we've first seen them, yet only two of them had joined our crew back when it happened, those being Artemisia and Mary, like we've mentioned earlier."
Enju said, "It's true, guys. We never even recognized her either. I'm sure we've seen there were only eight of those pirates back in our time. Besides the two pirates that joined us, their ship was destroyed and the rest didn't survive the explosion that Fena saw after she was captured by those pirates and which we've came to rescue around that time as well."
"Well, those pillaging and plundering pirates are starting to be a real pain in the ass for sure.", Ruby disgruntled before she turned away, "Now that we took care of it, we shall-"
She and the rest were all surprised by what they witnessed when they looked back to where the unconscious Flora was.
Flora was gone.
Yang wondered, "Where did she go?"
"No one would withstand that attack though. I don't think that was fatal!", Blake unexpectedly said.
Weiss upsets, "She got away... We could've sworn we've knocked her out cold!"
"I think we have the feeling we're going to catch up with her again on this path later on...", Lily thought.
Ruby replied, "Well, if we see her again on our treasure hunt, we'll be ready for her. And those pirate friends she mentioned as well too.", before she ensures and readied her friends, "Now, let's proceed further and find this treasure, okay?"
"Okay.", everyone else including Yang, Blake and Weiss answered.
Miria suggested, "Might I play the song Cherry Bomb while we venture?", singing a bit;
Miria: Hello world, I'm your wild girl! I'm a ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!
"Maybe now is not the time to sing right now, Miria. Maybe later, okay?", politely asked Mika-Celty in Mika's tone of voice.
Miria apologized to Mika-Celty and their other friends, "Sorry. I'll sing later."
As everyone continue to trek further on the path, Keith then looked down at the briefcase he was given with the numbered lock that he was trying to open.
Keith already tried the combination lock suggested by Team RWBY earlier which was 10-19-39 that was supposed to be October 1939 of the time when Marvel Comics was established, but it was to no avail as the briefcase was still locked. He still continued to try putting different random combinations in hopes of opening it, as he thought to himself;
"What is in this briefcase...?"
SENGOKU ISLAND
THE WILLOW WOODLANDS (YANAGI NO MORI)
1:25 PM
Elsewhere on the island on the other path in the eastern territory known as the Willow Woodlands (Yanagi no Mori in Japanese), Ennis (wearing the Nebula outfit and makeup) was leading their group on the trek at the same time as Team RWBY and their group.
"We must make haste everybody. Supposedly this island is still civilized, so in case if we bump into someone along the way while we look for spots that would have the treasure at, maybe they can give us some leads.", presumed Ennis.
Ty Lee answers while wearing her Spider-Man outfit she chosen earlier, "If that's the case, then so be it.", deciding, "Let us all venture further.", as everyone agreed.
Maki Oze sighs (still wearing the Ant-Man outfit she chose), "You know, this island seems to be a paradise. Well, not as amazing as Edo Island, but this time is not bad at all. You know, like... There's more greenery around here. Hopefully there's a temple or a village around here...?"
"Well, there's people living here, so why would you ask?", Tamaki wonders, still wearing the Wasp outfit she selected.
The firefighter girl curiously said, "I mean, most of us have never been here before. Baiken and Kasuga perhaps visited this place a while back, Fena and the others haven't come here either."
"Well, we came from a different for us samurai pirates.", Yukimaru retold to the pyrokinetic girl, "Goblin Island, that is."
Maki Oze cringed a bit, "Wait, are you saying you're goblins?"
"No.", sternly replied the red-armored samurai pirate.
The purple-eyed Fire Force girl relieved, "That's a relief. So that island is just called Goblin Island because of Japanese folklore, right?"
"Well... There were some that actually called us Goblin Knights-", Yukimaru continued.
Maki exclaimed, "WHAT?! You're Goblin Knights?!"
"If you let me finish, it's not what you think!", irked Yukimaru.
Maka Albarn (still wearing the War Machine iron armor) and her girlfriend Tsubaki Nakatsukasa watched the two talk as they were still walking on the path, before she asked Yukimaru's purple-haired fellow samurai pirate and boyfriend Shitan, "We're still getting to know about you and the others, Shitan. I'm guessing Maki is getting mixed up about it?"
"Yeah, long story short, we're not goblins despite that named after our island we originated from and others across the sea calling us knights.", Shitan explained.
Tsubaki Nakatsukasa replied, "We see. To us, I don't think you're knights. In fact, you and the other six besides Fena, Lily and Keith being samurai ninja pirates are actually more badass. Even one of your names is named after me...and also a ninja just like me!"
"I can see you're starting to hang out with Tsubaki, Tsubaki.", joked Maka, "Unfortunately he and Makaba, who is technically also named after me without that last syllable, had to stay behind back at the Bonito II ship in case anyone intrudes, you know. It's like someone stealing a car that's left open..."
Shitan understood, "Of course. Speaking of which, we've been learning more about this modern life. Technology and all that. Really like that War Machine costume you chose."
"Thanks. On another note, you and the others will adapt for sure. We're all sure.", Maka respected as she, Tsubaki Nakatsukasa and Shitan smiled.
In the meantime with Natsume (wearing her Rocket Raccoon makeup and outfit still), Ohana (wearing her Groot makeup also), Fena (also still wearing the Shang-Chi outfit she chose) and Karin still walking with the group, the former (Natsume) then had a conversation with the titular pirate princess herself, Fena.
"How's that Shang-Chi outfit going?", Natsume asked in her Aussie accent.
Fena kindly said, "Good. How about you?"
"Not bad at the slightest. The whiskers are a neat touch, so is the fur and makeup. I mean, Rocket's awesome.", Natsume said in her Australian accent again.
Karin also wondered, "What about Ohana?"
"I am Groot.", Ohana replied playfully.
The black-haired kunoichi girl sighed, "There's one question though... Why does she keep saying 'I am Groot' often?"
"Well, you say, it's not her. It's the character that says it. Although that's mostly his vocabulary, others can presume his thoughts or read his mind at what he's trying to say or come across, like, for example...", taught the ginger-haired girl before asking Ohana, "You dig that costume?"
Ohana giggled, "I am Groot."
"Yeah, I'm glad you like it! Even the camouflague suits you.", commented Natsume.
"I am Groot."
"You're welcome."
Fena and Karin look at each other with a bit of puzzlement.
"I think she said 'thank you'?", Fena guessed.
Natsume nodded.
The platinum-white haired girl says, "Oh, I see now!", apologizing, "Sorry, me and Lily saw Guardians of the Galaxy a while back and I almost forgot... But can I try?", before her request was accepted by Natsume as she then asked Ohana, "Do you think Karin and I make a great couple?"
Karin blushed in embarrassment, "Fena!"
"I am Groot...?"
Fena and Karin hesitate before asking, "...What?"
"I think you two make a great couple!", Ohana cheerfully said, laughing happily.
Both Fena and Karin looked surprised by this.
The Kissuiso waitress says, "I was just keeping in character, that's why."
"We see.", Karin said, "We're not mind-readers though."
Ohana replied, "We understand."
"Then again, Natsume, we're both impressed you're part Australian. Our other friends think the same.", Fena admitted.
Natsume felt flattered and complimented in her Aussie accent, "It's my culture, thank you."
Again in the meantime this time with Sinon (wearing her Black Panther outfit), Leafa, Alice, Fanatio, Kasuga (wearing the Cloak of Levitation as a substitute to her chosen Doctor Strange outfit), Saika Magoichi and Sarutobi Sasuke when they're all walking with the group as well, Sinon saw the Sling Ring that Kasuga equipped in curiosity.
"I see that Sling Ring would be coming in handy?", Sinon smiled happily to Kasuga.
Kasuga answered, "Oh yes. It's a pretty unique device. The sorcerers of the Mystic Arts would be able to create portals with it, like those Valve games we like to play. But it seems that the Sling Ring we have for now is able to initiate magic spells from the Mystic Arts that can be useful in battle even."
"I got to admit, the Mystic Arts' spells are just as amazing as a magician's spells.", impressed Sinon.
Kasuga told, "And as for the Cloak of Levitation, I can be able to fly and do many things too.", pondering, "Now, to my curiosity, what does your suit have?"
"Unfortunately, this Panther Habit suit I decided to wear doesn't have any weapons like guns or swords or any of that, but this suit is weaved from vibranium, like Captain America's shield. It's charged up with kinetic energy, can create powerful sonic energy pulses, it is equipped with sharp vibranium claws that can cut through anything, and it even comes with a helmet which protects the full body. At the very least, I think it could be very useful."
Leafa happily stated to her girlfriend Sinon, "I think the same, my love.", while Saik
"Still surprised Sinon and Leafa have a thing for each other.", perplexed Sarutobi, saying this to Alice and Fanatio.
Alice excused, "Sinon and Leafa been in a relationship for...a long while now. How about you, Sasuke?"
"I've been married to Yukimura for a long time too.", Sarutobi Sasuke recounted, "We are a great couple after all."
Both Integrity Knights Alice and Fanatio look at one another and nodded, the former saying, "We see. It's nice you two are doing well."
"Certainly the Black Panther suit of yours is pretty dashing.", Kasuga complimented to Sinon all the while.
Sinon replied to Kasuga, "Same with your Doctor Strange suit there for sure."
"Well, well... Wakanda forever.", referenced Kasuga.
Sinon hesitated before referencing also, "We've come to bargain."
Both Sinon and Leafa proceed to fistbump to their remarks as a sign of friendship, while Leafa and Saika Magoichi looked at the two proudly.
On the way however, Ibuki (still wearing the Captain Marvel suit she chose) suddenly halted as the rest of the group stop as well, but not before she accidentally rose her hand and hit Ty Lee (wearing the Spider-Man outfit she chose) behind her.
"Ow! What's going on?", Ty Lee exclaimed in mild pain.
Ibuki sensed, "I feel a presence."
"Nice Obi-Wan reference.", Kasuga joked.
Ibuki warned, "Hold on...", as a few silent moments had her leaping onto a tree to find a better view, before coming back down seconds later as she then said, "I think we're being followed."
Hearing this, Sinon, Kasuga, Ty Lee and their friends look at each other.
Maki, Tamaki, Iris, Maka Albarn and Tsubaki Nakatsukasa look at one another.
Fena, Karin, Yukimaru, Shitan, Natsume and Ohana also looked at each other.
Ennis felt skeptical by this before she then talked to Ibuki, "Well, if that's the case that it must be those assailants from the news, then we must confront them. There's no telling where they will be..."
"Uh, guys?", Fena asked.
The group then looks behind...
...and they saw three women in their path.
The first had black dull eyes, long black hair fashioned in a ponytail while she also had light blue lipstick on her lips along with pale skin, wearing a purple pirate tailcoat outfit with butterfly tattoos on her chest, red tufts on the waistline, teal pants and purple heels, wielding a sword while equipping a sheath for the weapon.
The second, who is shorter than the other, had long black puffy hair, tan skin, brown eyes with one of her eyes having an eyepatch, while she appeared to wear a red pirate coat with a brown pirate hat, a necklace with blue beads and gold coins, a grey bandage that acts as a bra to cover her breasts, and black pants with brown shoes and belt, wielding a marksman rifle.
And the third had short brown hair yet being the tallest of the three, having a red tattoo on one side of her face along with yellowish hexagonal earrings, wearing a grey long-sleeved outfit that also has yellow hexagons like her earrings on one side of the outfit along with three colored parts that went from a black-green color to a yellowish color from the top of the chest to the bottom below the waistline, red shoulder guards, black pants and green steel-tipped boots, wielding a sledgehammer of sorts.
Yukimaru quietly realized, "Wait... We know those three..."
"You know them?", Natsume asked the red-clothed samurai pirate.
Karin said, "Those were three of the eight pirates we've encountered during our journey to Eden."
"Pirates?", Natsume says before realizing, "Hold on, could those three be a few of the criminals involved in the mysterious attacks on this island lately?"
Ohana doubted, "It seems like it..."
"Alvida is the one with black hair, Hannah Snell is the one with the rifle and Anne Bonnie is the tallest of those three. I've heard their names back when I was captured on the ship known as the Blue Giant during my adventures with Karin, Yukimaru and the others... But how come they're alive...? I've seen their ship blow up, I was there!", questioned Fena.
Maka Albarn quietly said to Fena, "Maybe they're from an alternate universe or something? I'm not sure yet, but it's possible..."
"Travelers,", Alvida said, "If you're seeking to find the treasure, turn back now."
Natsume replied, "Why is that?"
"The three of us and the rest of our crew are too looking for this treasure, all while we pillage and plunder throughout this strange island.", cryptically told Anne.
Maka Albarn said, "Hey, are you those guys that have been terrorizing this island by attacking the inhabitants and stealing treasures?"
"Yeah, we've heard what happened from words of mouth. You're the criminals we've heard that must be brought to justice...", Kasuga said.
Sinon added, "Or maybe seeking the treasure we're finding!"
"My husband and I were trying to find you... You will not get away with this!", Sarutobi Sasuke told the three female pirates.
Hannah answered, "You do what is best for you. Stop what you're all doing and leave now."
"Enough.", Ennis silenced before demanding, "Who are you?"
"I'm Hannah Snell, and these are my fellow crewmates Alvida and Anne Bonnie. We are part of the pirate crew led by our leader Grace O'Malley, known as... The Rumble Rose."
Fena realized, "Rumble Rose...", saying, "They're the ones that ambushed us and kidnapped me when we sailed to the temple in Orleans!"
"They kidnapped you?", surprised Ty Lee while still wearing the Spider-Man outfit she chose, saying, "Oh no... And I assume Karin and the others came to save you?"
Karin recounted privately, "Yukimaru and I did. The others came as well, but that was after the Rumble Rose's ship blew up."
"We're very interested in hearing more of your story, Fena and Karin. Same with Yukimaru and Shitan here.", the Kyoshi warrior said.
Yukimaru acknowledged, "Thank you."
Anne stepped forward to confront Ennis, "We will not ask you all again. Turn back now."
"No.", Ennis replied with courage, before muttering to herself, "There's one way to settle this..."
Maki Oze walked over to Ennis while still wearing the Ant-Man outfit she chose, "You're going to use your weapon, aren't you?"
"I've come prepared, Maki.", quietly told Ennis.
Maki figured, "Oh... Okay. We've got your back."
"Although you three have warned us and they seem mighty, but little do they know is that we're stronger than they think with all of our fancy weaponry and amazing skills!", Ennis intimidated.
Ty Lee muttered to Kasuga in the meantime, "True that. I think that means we're more powerful altogether...", the latter nodding in agreement.
"Now, everyone! Let's teach these pirates a thing or two!", Ennis said before pulling out an electric blaster at the three pirates, "You say you want us to turn back? We refuse. I don't care how hard you'll have to hit us with your vintage weaponry, but there's a lot that you don't know about us that you will never understand. So now I think you would be the ones to surrender... Not us.", Ennis spoke as her friends looked on during her speech, "One shot from this weapon will blast you with enough volts of electricity to stun you or perhaps kill you. I am aware you've brought your weapons with you, but there's a few dozen of us and only three of you at the time. You three, your leader and the rest of your crew are in serious trouble, so don't try to resist or fight in any wa-"
Just then, her electric blaster was shot by Hannah's marksman rifle, destroying it as a few volts of electricity sparked out of it.
Hannah Snell irked, "You were saying?", aiming her rifle at the immortal brunette.
Ennis sighed when seeing that her weapon was destroyed, looking down at her spare weapons she had equipped with her Nebula makeup and outfit.
"Time to bring in the big guns.", whispered Ennis so that Hannah, Anne and Alvida couldn't hear her; the immortal girl walks back to the others and instructing Maka, "You're up."
Maka and Tsubaki came in front of their friends and the former spoke, "Stand aside, my friends. I'll handle this.", calling out, "Tsubaki."
"On it!", Tsubaki answered before she quickly transformed into her chain scythe form after a bright flash of light, with Maka wielding the meister weapon.
Hannah, Alvida and Anne looked shocked by this, the former saying, "What the...?"
"This is your last chance, pirates.", Maka said to the three before the headpiece of her War Machine armor Maka chose to wear closed, before continuing, "Surrender now."
Maki Oze walks over to Maka and said, "Just in case, Maka, I'd like to help you take these guys down. I've got a secret weapon from this suit that can be able to defeat these pirates, and I'm not backing down from it!"
"Sure.", Maka agreed as the two intensely prepare to fight the three.
Anne simply said to her fellow pirates, "I'll take care of this.", moving aside Hannah as she clenched on her sledgehammer weapon.
"Ready...set...", Maki intensified as she prepares to press the size control button triggers on the gloves of her Ant-Man outfit she chose to wear, while Maka is about to swing her chain scythe at them.
As Maka threw the chain scythe at Anne, it wrapped around Anne's sledgehammer, just before the brute pirate jumped and tried to slam them with the sledgehammer, in which the group dodged as the sledgehammer slammed the ground and forcing a natural gust of wind to repel Ennis, Maka, Maki and the others back a bit.
Quickly, Maka recoiled her chain scythe weapon off of Anne's sledgehammer while her War Machine armor's headpiece opens, as both Maka Albarn and Maki Oze both said, "Holy shit!"
"Should we get ahead of them for now? Maybe this fight should continue on the go!", Ty Lee questioned.
Ibuki decided, "We're sure!"
"Let's go!", Ennis warned as she, Sinon, Kasuga, Ibuki, Ty Lee, Maka, Maki, Fena, Karin, Natsume, Ohana and the rest head deeper on the path and away from the three pirates in an effort to get to the treasure.
As Anne gets back up from her attempted strike, she, Hannah and Alvida heard a familiar voice behind them and were unfazed by the prescence.
"They're going after the treasure. Unfortunately, they don't know where it is as much as we don't know its location... Go after them... Then kill them."
"Aye-aye, captain.", Anne, Alvida and Hannah replied as the three head off.
The person who said this behind them was in fact the red-haired captain once again, Grace O'Malley...
