shriramasokan: Uh...someone is already making a story where Hal is Ben's mentor and another story where Ben and Zatanna are together. I haven't decide who Ben will be within this story, but not too worried about it right now.
Warning: I do not own these shows such as Dragonball, Ben 10, Generator Rex, Young Justice, Danny Phantom, American Dragon: Jake Long, and Marvel characters/events series. Fictional events that I and Stormwolf150 make are ours as well as our OC's. This is a co-written story.
It was a relatively peaceful afternoon in New Jersey, as two guards were standing next to each other on a base in the middle of nowhere. They were currently guarding it as behind them lies a fortified building, where inside there were even more guards waiting at their post. All of them seem to be on guard as it was very silent for them. But back outside, the guard has been standing at their post for the past few hours, and needless to say one of them is getting real bored waiting.
"This is the most boring assignment in the world." A guard thought as he watched for a nonexistent intruder alongside his partner.
He knew that he wasn't supposed to talk during guard duty, but at that point, he didn't care. He needed something to do besides stare at roads and grass.
"Hey," he said to his partner.
"Yeah?" the other man said, in as bored a tone as the first guard felt.
"You ever wonder why we're here?" The first guard asks.
The other man looked at him. "That's one of life's big mysteries, isn't it? I mean, why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence or is there really a God watching everything, you know, with a plan for us and stuff? I don't know, man… but it keeps me up at night."
The first man stared at him as if he was crazy about what he is talking about. "What the hell are you talking about? I meant why we were here, on this base."
"Oh, yeah." The other man said sheepishly.
"What's all the stuff about God?" The man asked.
"Nothing…" The other man said in denial.
"You want to talk about it?" The first man asks as this was better than standing in silence.
"No." The other man insisted.
"You sure?" The first man asks once more just to be sure.
"Yeah." The other man confirmed.
"Seriously though, why are we out here? As far as I can tell, we're in the middle of nowhere, nobody knows where we are in New Jersey, and we have enough automated defenses that having actual guards is pointless. And all of it is for, what, to keep a meta-human a prisoner? Whoop-dee-fucking-doo." The first man said in a bored tone.
The second guard looked down for a second before answering. "Well, we have Quake here because we didn't want anyone to find her. Isn't that obvious?"
"Well, duh; I still think we could have left it to the automated defenses." He shot his partner a sidelong glance. "It's just ridiculous that we—wait, do you hear that?"
The second man looked around. "I don't see anything."
"That's why I said hear, idiot."
"Well, I don't hear anything, either; what does it sound like?"
"It sounds like a… whistling, no, two things whistling, I guess," the first man said, "And it's getting louder, almost like something is headed right for us."
As soon as he said that, a pair of tasers whizzed down, both hitting the men in the center of their chests as it lit up for a few seconds before fizzling out. For a second, the men thought they were dead, but when they only felt a slight impact, they grinned at each other behind their ski masks.
"Thank you, body-armor!" they said together, before the electric charge in each taser reactivated and shorted out their nervous systems, knocking them out.
That's when a man that stands up to be 6'2" steps out of the shadows. The man seems to be Hispanic as he has shaggy hair, but with a ponytail. He wore dark orange goggles over his brown eyes and he seems to have a small trimmed beard. He had a dark red jacket with dark orange on the cuffs and torse. Along with a dark blue shirt with black jeans and steel combat boots. This was none other than Rex Salzar, an EVO with the power of nanites to create awesome machines.
Rex stepped over the unconscious duo and quickly made his way to the outer wall of the fortress at the center of the island. Seeing no one nearby, he forms a pair of massive orange and black gauntlets with navy blue circuitry, along with two blue spikes that protrude from the fists that he dubs Smack Hands. Taking his giant hands, he grabbed onto the wall and began to climb onto it as he was singing 'Secret Agent Man' to himself in a whisper.
See at that moment, he was basically on a mission to rescue a certain somebody who manage to get captured by one of the deadliest organizations in the world…..Checkmate. An organization that deals with alien weaponry that can even harm him and the rest of the Avengers. A thorn in their side for the last decade or so. They also have a knack for experimentation with humans, animals, and metahumans. But it's still not the worse as they deal with human trafficking, dog fighting, and a long list of other horrendous crimes that the Avenger kept track of, which is sadly like a mile long. This Checkmate is actually quite similar to the South Dragon Gang, an organization that Solarstorm has dealt with, but minus the worshiping a dragon.
But back to the story, Rex has just managed to get to the top of the building. Seeing no guards around he notices a control box, this made him smirk as he walks over to it. He then open the box and touched it, causing his hands and the box to glow bright blue.
One of the guards was looking over the monitors in a security room when he noticed that one monitor was blinking in and out. The guard immediately went over there to check the feed but found nothing tampered so he went back to looking at the other monitors to check any activities.
Rex moved like a whirlwind, taking down his targets before they even knew it and finishing off the alerted ones before they'd had enough time to warn their comrades. With each strike and fist thrown, Rex whittled down his list of targets without a single break in his movements.
"Hey!"
WHUMP!
Encountering a trio of armed guards, Rex ran into the first with a stomp kick, hitting like a freight train. The guy was thrown out of the building without making a peep. The second one pulled a gun, before getting parried by the EVO and swung to the ground with a masterful takedown.
Rex then builds a machine that consists of a navy-colored, backpack dynamo and a long, black tentacle-like whip that extends from his right arm that he dubs Blast Caster. He then whips the tentacles at another guard who was attempting to ring the alarm, the tentacles spin the guards around before he was met with a punch to the face.
Without missing a beat, Rex made his way to the center pad, throwing his Funchucks at the next target. With each swing he managed to knock each opponent to either a wall or was launched out of the building.
With that done he finally managed to get where he needed to be. Walking up to the door, he easily broke through as the lights were on. Looking forward he sees a door that needed to get to.
"And the bridge should be this way." Rex mutters to himself.
"And so is a certain someone." A voice calls out from the shadows.
That's when the rooms that Rex was in started to flicker on and off repeatedly. Rex got ready to fight whatever was coming his way as he look around him, sadly nothing was coming towards him.
That's when he sensed something behind him, turning around, he was met with glowing purple eyes. And that's when the lights flicker on that Rex, can see it was a man, probably around his age.
But he was weird looking as he had brown skin color, glowing purple eyes, with armored clothes. The man's hand and mouth seem to be wrapped around with bandages as some hung from him.
What is even weirder is that each time the lights came on, the man was in a different location. From the ceiling to the side of the room and then jump scare in front of Rex.
"Woah!" Rex screamed in surprise to see the man appearing in front of him so fast.
"You're not going anywhere." The man said.
"Yeah who is going to stop me?" Rex asks. "You? What do you even call yourself anyways?" Rex asks. "Under wraps?"
The man didn't seem amused by Rex's joke. " You can call me Anubis, and this will be your tomb!"
"I don't think so, momia." Rex said as he forms his sword. He then runs towards Anubis and slashed his sword through his stomach.
Unfortunately, that didn't work as Anubis was still standing, and no blood was coming out. "Oh shit." Rex curses as Anubis retaliated by wrapping his bandages around Rex and tossing him across the room.
The Evo quickly got up to his opponent as he prepares for another attack. Using his enhanced Smack hands, Rex was ready this time. Immediately he ran towards Anubis with great speed intending to punch him.
As he got closer, Anubis was getting ready for the attack, but sadly it wasn't to be as Rex jumped over Anubis to surprise him. Upon landing, Rex tried to punch, but he never got a chance as he was kicked in the chest, sending him through multiple rooms.
Rex hollered in pain as he landed in the rubble he was thrown through. As he sits up, he felt a pain in his chest from the kick he received. "I definitely didn't se that coming." He mutters to himself as he got up. Luckily his nanites quickly healed him before they can even do more damage.
He then looks up to see Anubis still in his kick position, who hasn't moved since the attack. He just stands there staring at Rex. "Is that the best the Generator Rex can dish out?" He questions. "Frankly I'm unimpressed. Was told you were powerful, but you are nothing but machines and lack the discipline to fight for real."
"Then let me show you, cadáver." Rex said with anger as he forms a pair of large blue axes with energized blades that he calls Bad Axes.
He runs towards Anubis, who doesn't even look impressed in the slightest. Just as Rex makes it toward Anubis, he begins to slice and dice the villain chopping him to pieces. Pretty soon all there was left was shredded bandages of what remained of Anubis.
"And that's how you do it." Rex said with glee as he began to walk away.
Just as he did he then felt bandages wrapped around him, looking behind him he sees Anubis all healed up without a scratch on him.
"What?" Rex asks in surprise as more bandages wrap around his whole body except for his head.
"Surprised?" Anubis asks. "There is a reason why I'm one of the top agents in this agency," He said with a hint of smugness.
Then before Rex knew it, Anubis flips him over to the other side of the room. Rex immediately got slammed to the ground causing the ground to crack, but before he can even get up, he was met with a big fist made of bandages.
Rex was then punched so hard that the two fell to the ground. But that wouldn't stop Anubis as he keeps pummeling Rex further and further to the ground. With each punch, they slammed to another floor before they finally made it to the basement.
"Ahh!" Rex screamed in pain as Anubis was standing on him. "You can punch, I'll give you that. But I so don't have time for this." Then with hands that were for the most part free from the bandages, he used his gravity powers to throw Anubuis through a wall, before making parts of the structure of the building fall on top of the villain. Crushing him in the process, as this makes Rex free from his grasp.
The new gravity powers came from the Meta-nanites. The Meta-Nanites, also known as Master-Control Nanites or Master Nanites, are extremely powerful nanites created to control the Dominion Code, or put simply the "God Code.
During the original Nanite Project, the project scientists accidentally discovered the Dominion Code. As the name implies, the code could give its user control over the fabric of the universe. This code was stored inside five specialized nanites called Meta-Nanites, which were programmed to only obey Rex. All of the Meta-Nanites are required to have the complete code. When used individually, the Meta-Nanites can grant control over Gravity, Matter, Anti-Matter, Energy, Space-Time, Elements of nature, and Technology.
After getting up he then transforms a jet pack with a pair of wide orange turbine wings that he calls Boogie Pack he flies back up to the floor he was in just a few seconds. Then quickly as he can, he ran through multiple rooms before he finds the one he was looking for.
As soon as he walked up he noticed a beautiful woman with black hair, she seems to be held in electric chambers as she was hanging from the ceiling. The woman, who seems to be around Rex's age, seems to be 5'6 in height with dark brown hair that goes past her shoulders along with brown eyes. She also seems to be slender yet with a toned build as she wore a black uniform with dark purple on the collar bone, hip of each side along on the knee. The woman also had a gray gauntlet that seems to be connected in large metal chambers, to help prevent her from escaping.
"So what are you doing here?" Rex asked with a smirk and flirt.
"Just hanging around," The woman chuckled.
"I can see that." Rex said with a smile.
Rex then walk over to the controls, after connecting with it using his nanites, the woman was immediately let go as the power in her prison went out She hit the ground in a three-point stance as Rex took notice of the black cuffs on the woman's wrists.
"What are those things on your wrists?" Rex asks.
"I know. That was pretty smart of Checkmate to do. Without access to my Meta-gene, I can't use my powers," The woman explains.
The thing on her wrists is called an inhibitor cuff, an upgraded version of the inhibitor collar but smaller and sleeker than the previous one. Inhibitor collars are special control collars designed to prevent the wearer from accessing their superhuman abilities, and also to apply electric shocks powerful enough to render a person unconscious. The collars must be pre-programmed for an individual's specific abilities.
For subjects with multiple powers, the collars are capable of selectively repressing or allowing individual abilities and can be remotely switched between settings
"You should really be more careful, Daisy," Rex said with annoyance as he takes her wrist and began to try and unlock it.
"True, but the plan worked didn't it?" The woman or Daisy said with a smirk.
"A little too well if I might add." Rex exclaimed.
"Well, that was the plan." Daisy reminds the EVO. "I let them capture me so you can track me back to their headquarters."
Rex continues to look at her wrist as he keeps trying to break through their tech, but no matter hard he tries he keeps getting blocked out. "Ugh! This isn't work." Rex said with frustration as this rarely ever happens. "They must have been upgraded since the last time we went up against them."
"Well, you did your best." Daisy tries to make him feel a little better.
That's when parts of the wall crashed open and landed at the hero's feet. Immediately the heroes turn to the open wall and are revealed to be Anubis alive and well, but still pretty pissed as usual.
"There's no escape for you, Generator Rex and Quake," Anubis said, walking in.
"Okay, I got a plan," Daisy said, whispering to her husband.
"What is it?" Rex asked.
"Well it's not a good plan, but it's a plan," Daisy chuckled as she gulped and then ran forwards with a shout... right into Anubuis's hands which he quickly wraps her around within bandages.
"Did you really think you could overpower me?" Anubis asks.
"Of course I didn't," Daisy smirked before twirling a key between her fingers. "I just thought I might be able to get close enough to swipe your keys."
She then unlocked the cuff on her wrist before activating her powers which were powerful concussive waves of vibrating air in the form of directed concussive blasts at Anubis. This sends him straight through the wall as he was not prepared for the attack.
"Great job" Rex praised.
"I know." Daisy said with a loving smirk.
"This changes nothing." Anubis said as he got from the ground and immediately slam his fist on a red button near him.
Immediately an alarm sound went through the entire building and that's when thirty soldiers run in with their guns ready to fire. The two heroes can only watch as they began to get surrounded by lasers on the soldier's gun pointing at them.
"You really think you can kill us with these guys?" Rex asks Anubis as he points to the soldiers.
Anubis just smiles as he shakes his head. "No, but I think I can with this." That's when he put his fingers to his mouth and blew a loud whistle that can be heard in that building.
It only just got worse forty more soldiers with more guns and other types of firearms they have as they surrounded the heroes even more. It was even getting crowded as Rex and Daisy had about five feet of room with each other. Anubis just stands in the middle watching with a small smirk on his face.
"Oh, crap." Daisy said with worry as they seems to be prepared for them.
Rex looks around as he then spoke. "I'll give you guys a chance. If you guys leave, we won't hurt you." Rex begins to offer. "But if you stay….then there is a chance you won't survive this night."
Anyone wants out, do it now." Anubis asks the soldiers. "Go ahead. The choice is yours."
The Checkmate soldiers turn to one another as if they were a telepath and understand their decision. It was soon realized that they all turn back to Rex with evil smiles on their face as they made their decision.
"Very well. I did offer." Rex said nonchalantly.
Anubis just smiles anyway. "Tear them apart."
Immediately, three guards rush towards the heroes with guns in their hands. In a split second, the guns were taken away almost at super speed. That's when Daisy kicks a guy in the knee, who fell to the ground but not before giving a mean right hook to the face.
Rex grabs a guy and put him in a reverse choke hold before snapping the soldier's neck with ease. The last soldier tries to fight the heroes at the same time, but they block the incoming punch before throwing their own punch to the soldier's face. This knocks him towards Anubis's feet who were out cold.
Anubis snaps his fingers as multiple guards throw some electrified chain at Rex's hand that wraps around it. He was immediately pulled back as he fell to the ground. Rex quickly got up but was met with multiple punches to the face and chest as well as gunshots. But they were worthless as Rex was immediately healed from it like it was nothing.
As that was going on, Daisy was a bit busy fighting off the soldiers near her. Three of the soldiers began firing rounds of bullets toward her but she was vibrating air into physical fields, allowing her to block a gunshot from the soldiers with ease. Then without warning, she managed to get the bullets on her shield to propel back to the soldier's head, killing them as blood splattered everywhere.
One tried to kick her, but she managed to avoid it as she pulled him to his knee in a reverse chock hold. But before she can snap the guy's neck, more came in with their guns drawn on her. Before they can fire, Daisy shot three concussive blasts at them, sending them more to the army as they were all knocked down. With that, she snaps the guy's neck she was holding before rolling until one leg was on the floor and the other parts up.
Even more, soldiers keep piling in as she fires concussive blasts from left to right non-stop for about fifteen seconds. One managed to get close as he tries to throw a punch, but she immediately blocks it before flipping the guy over her soldier. As he got up another came behind him to help, but it was useless as Daisy fired a powerful concussive blast at them, slamming them to the wall.
Four soldiers fired their guns at her simultaneously but Daisy managed to do a backflip before forming a shield around her. With even more coming in after she takes three down, she began to float in the air thanks to her powers. And with all of them surrounding her in her shield, she blasted them all with one shot they were all sent through the walls, and blood was spilled everywhere because of that.
With Rex, soldiers left and right keep punching him or hitting him with a crowbar or shooting him for the hell of it, or electrifying him, but Rex just takes it as blood spilling out of him. Anubis was smiling as he thinks he is going to win this battle as Rex and Daisy were nothing but a nuisance to Checkmate.
But that's when he noticed something off when Rex lifted his head and something was totally different. His eyes were not his usual brown color, they were blue….and glowing intensely.
In anger using all of his strength, he yanks the electrified chains off the walls before kicking a soldier in the leg causing it to break. He then grabs one soldier before throwing him to the wall. Then it got really serious when his hands transforms into his Bad Axes and sliced the soldier that was near him in half, which killed them all. Blood was everywhere and Anubis can only watch in shock at what unfolded.
"ANUBIS!" Rex calls out to him. "COME AND FINISH THIS!"
In anger, Anubis runs towards Rex with his fist ready to fight. Rex just finished the last two soldiers by slamming their heads together, causing them to fall instantly.
The hero looks up to see Anubis running toward him, so he does the same as he transforms his hands into his Smack Hands. With that the two runs toward each other before clashing with one another.
"I'm just warming up." Anubis said as he pushes Rex's arm with his own.
"So far I held back." Rex informs as he pushes Anubis's arm with his own.
While they were talking, Anubis had one of his bandages sneak up behind Rex before wrapping around his waist and pulling him back in surprise. When he looks at what happened, he immediately looks up but was met with Anubis's fist.
Rex was slammed down to the ground before Anubis got on top of him and punched him in the face repeatedly. With each punch that Rex felt, he was forced to look to the left and right sides as the ground began to shake until Rex's whole body was deep in the ground.
The villain eventually stop when he saw the Rex wasn't moving anymore. He was about to get up when suddenly a giant hammer size mallet knocked him in the face in surprise. He looks up to see Rex getting up from the ground as his left-hand holds the hammer he was just struck with. On his right hand was orange and black with blue lines all over it as it was shaped like a big drill similar to a shapeshifter's alien.
Rex runs towards Anubis, who easily dodges the blow, but manages to grab the back of Rex's jacket and pull him back to the ground. Unfortunately, Rex learns from his mistake and, manages to get the drill on Anubis's face destroying it in the process.
AHHH!" Anubis scream in pain as his face immediately heals up. In retaliation, he throws miniature tornados at Rex, who dodges the first two but not the last one as it knocks him to the side.
When he got up he saw Anubis hovering in the air as a tornado formed under him.
"Oh great." Rex mutters as he forms a large orange projectile cannon on his left arm. Similar to a rocket launcher, it is positioned to rest on his shoulder. He calls it his Slam Canoono as the back of it picks up large debris and fires at Anubis.
But Anubis just takes the force as it does nothing but bounced off of the tornado like it is nothing. And with that, he rams towards Rex hitting him dead on with his tornado as it was also gathering debris and slamming it into the EVO hero. It's still not enough as rex was being forced to the ground again as the tornado was slamming onto him repeatedly as shards of glass, concrete, and other things around are constantly hitting Rex.
"This is the end of you, generator Rex." Anubis declares. "Your death will break your wife's heart when I kill her to end her suffering."
Something in Rex's just snaps in anger at the mention of hurting his wife. And no one should talk badly about anyone's wife like that. With whatever strength he has left inside, he used his gravity powers to push Anubi's and his tornado off of him and slam him through multiple rooms destroying the tornado in the process.
Anubis quickly got up but was met with more gravity that push his feet to the ground, making him unable to move from that spot. Looking up he sees Rex coming towards him at a fast speed as he forms his hammer on both hands this time and starts hitting him repeatedly as he shouts out loud.
"DON'T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT MY ESPOSA EVER AGIN!" Rex yells out as blood was coming out of Anubi's face.
Anubis just responded by spitting blood on Rex's face with a smirk. "...No." Rex transforms his hands back to normal.
But Rex is the one smirking as he touches Anubis'shoudler causing ice to form everywhere. Anubis is surprised at this, usually, ice wouldn't be too much of a problem, but this ice was different. It was something he never experiences before because this ice was freakin below absolute zero.
"NOOOO!" Anubis screams before his whole body was frozen solid.
Then Rex's hands began to glow light blue before his hands turns into Magan blades similar to his handler's blades. But this one is different than that as this is slightly bigger but more deadly. That's when Rex began to sliced and diced Anubis at quick speeds who could only watch as he is being killed. And when Rex was done, nothing seems to happen to Anubis in his frozen state, but that's when five seconds later everything came apart as Anubis was chopped to bits and dust.
"Nice job?" Ben said, startling the EVO, who turned around to see his old friends Ben, David, and Blaze as well as Rowan and Zadkiel, who were standing there too.
"Ben? David? What are you guys doing here?" Rex asks.
That's when all six heroes hear a woman's grunt and anger as she just blasted the remaining soldiers toward them. The soldiers seem to be bruised up with their necks snapped as Daisy walks in through the hole she just made.
"Oh, hey guys." Daisy said with a deep breath, like what she did was nothing. "Wasn't expecting any company."
"Don't worry, this isn't a social call." Ben tells her.
"Well whatever it is, it good to see you guys." Daisy said with a smile as she hugs Ben before giving one to David.
Rowan seems to be impatient as he spoke. "Can we get on with it, we have other to recruit."
"Uh could you be a little less sensitive?" Ben asks the GoD. "We are asking him to risk his life."
"Risk his/my life?" Daisy and Rex ask as they both say it at the same time.
"And if we don't then all of us are goners." Blaze reminds the Hero of heroes.
"He's right. If we don't do this quickly, the less time we have to prepare for the battle." David reminds the heroes.
"So what is this about?" Rex asks.
That's when Ben, David, and Blaze began to explain the situation to the two heroes. They explained that an idiotic Saiyan wanted a contest to see which universe is the strongest, but in doing so whoever loses will lose their universe and the winner will keep their universe and a wish of whatever they wanted. Needless to say, Daisy and Rex are shocked but also a bit irritated for the Saiyan that caused this much trouble. The heroes also explained that since they need ten heroes for the team, they thought it is a great idea to recruit Rex as he is one of the strongest heroes. And when they have all ten heroes, they plan on trainning as much as possible so they can prepare for what's to come.
"So are you in?" Blaze asks.
"When do we start?" Rex asks.
"We just did." Rowan replies with a small smile.
So how did you all like that? This chapter took like a month to write because I wanted the fight scenes to be just right. But did you all spot the references, let me know if you catch them as I will reveal them in the next chapter. Now I know I was supposed to post more, but I just got caught up with Christmas and my family's part, so I hope you all understand. but at least you all are getting chapters since I'm out of school. Idk when the next chapter is, as I'm still trying to organize it and write it out before I go back to college so I had something to post in the future.
