Chapter-3

Harry, Nico

Harry felt frustrated, walking beside Moody after his hearing. All he did was protect his cousin from getting a dementor's kiss with a patronus charm, yet the Fudge believed he'd committed some sort of crime heinous enough to be sent to Azkaban.

Harry couldn't understand what was wrong with Fudge. The man had been exceptionally warm and forgiving towards him for what happened with Aunt Marge. But now, for an even lesser offense, he wasn't even hesitant to give out strict punishments. Not to mention the smear campaign being conducted against him and Dumbledore for apparently lying about the dark lord coming back to life.

The second source of frustration was Dumbledore. The man had appeared at his hearing to defend him, and had even produced a witness to help his case, but once the trial ended, Dumbledore had just…left. Not to mention he'd prevented Hermione and Ron from contacting him these few months.

But beside the frustration, Harry felt confused. Whenever he talked about the dementors, he felt like something was missing. That the dementors hadn't attacked him.

But…I vividly remember it. Dudley nearly getting his soul sucked out… Harry thought.

"Something on your mind, Harry?" Moody asked as Harry shook his head.

"No…nothing." He spoke.

It doesn't make sense. Harry thought. He hadn't mentioned it, but he'd found three jagged scars on his chest a few days before. That was what made him suspicious about the dementor story.

If we were attacked by dementors, where did these scars come from? Dementors shouldn't be capable of these? Harry thought. Could it be that something else attacked him along with the Dementors?

"I need to go, now." Kingsley Shacklebolt spoke. "The ministry's gotten more ever since this fog descended upon the world."

Harry perked up. "Did you find anything about the fog?" He asked. Maybe the ministry could know something…

"Sadly, no. The fog is magical in nature, but we can't find any sort of spell or enchantment causing this fog. It's as if the magic is just…there. It's difficult to investigate because the fog muddles up the minds of our researchers." Shacklebolt spoke. "But we're working on it." He spoke.

Moody suddenly glared to his left, and Harry noticed a man with wild brown hair in a black coat sitting on a bench with his eyes closed. Harry didn't know why, but he felt like he'd seen this man somewhere before.

"He's sleeping." Moody before going past the man as they entered grimmauld place.

Harry could feel the tense atmosphere as he entered. Hermione, Ron and his family were sitting in the living room.

Ron was the first to see him as he brightened up. "Harry! What happened?" He asked as Harry grinned.

"Cleared of all charges." He spoke as a cheer went up in the Black household. His godfather came up and hugged him.

"Thank goodness you're alright." He spoke in relief as Harry smiled. At least there were so many who were worried for him.

"Come on, Harry. You can tell all the details with dinner." Ms. Weasely spoke.

Harry narrated all that happened at the hearing at dinner.

"But, there's something I need to talk about." Harry spoke after finishing his narration.

"What is it?" Hermione asked.

"When I talked about the dementor attack, I had a strange feeling. I felt confused…as if something wasn't right when I was telling the story."

Sirius frowned. "You mean you don't believe you were attacked by dementors?"

"I know!" Harry spoke with a little frustration leaking out. "I just don't understand! Those memories are vivid, and I can describe them down to every detail, but I still feel like there's something wrong!"

"But if you remember so certainly, why should anything feel wrong?" Ron asked.

"That's the thing…I don't get it." Harry spoke as Sirius put a hand on his shoulder. "Perhaps it's the effects of the fog…they do say it messes with your mind." Sirius spoke as Harry nodded.

The fog…right. I was outside for some time, maybe it did mess with my mind a little bit. But still…it doesn't explain the scars. Harry thought.

"If that is so, you should be careful not to go too outside, Harry dear." Ms. Weasely spoke as Harry nodded.

After dinner, Harry headed upstairs with Ron and Hermione.

"Ok, there's something else I also need to show you." Harry spoke as Ron and Hermione frowned.

"Why didn't you tell it at the dining table?"

"I didn't want them to get worried." Harry replied as Hermione stared at him in concern.

"Ok? What is it?"

Harry lifted up his shirt to show the scars as Ron and Hermione gasped.

"Bloody hell! What happened to you?!" Ron exclaimed.

"Sh!" Harry hissed as Hermione stared at the scars.

"Those can't be from a dementor." She spoke. "It's not…possible. Those are from something else."

"Like Harry got attacked by a big dog or something." Ron muttered.

"Harry…you said you remember dementors attacking you."

Harry nodded.

"Could it be that something else also attacked, and the fog altered your memories to make you forget it?"

"It must have been a death eater." Ron snarled. "They just couldn't pass up an opportunity to kill their master's biggest enemy."

Harry shuddered. He didn't want to know what could have happened if Ms. Figg hadn't arrived.

"It's alright, Harry." Hermione reassured him. "You're safe right now, and you'll be even safer when we go back to Hogwarts."

Ron snorted. "Yeah, no death eater would be mad enough to…" Ron's voice died out when he noticed Hermione glaring at him, patting a slightly pale Harry on the back.

"Oh, right. Look, all the death eaters were captured before they could do anything to you. And after Barty Crouch Jr., I don't think any death eater would be able to pull off something like that again now that Dumbledore's aware of it. So, just relax."

"Y-Yeah." Harry spoke. "I guess so."

Hermione smiled. "Alright, let's go. Get some rest, Harry. We'll leave for Hogwarts in a few days." She spoke before she and Ron got up and went out of Harry's room.

Harry groggily rubbed his eyes. The tension he'd felt from the hearing crashed down upon him.

He got onto his bed, and went to sleep.

"So, you didn't get him?" A regal feminine voice spoke as Harry blinked.

"Where am I?" He muttered, but all he could see was darkness.

"An Einheri saved him, your majesty. The Einherjar was apparently a powerful healer, to the point he could overcome my magic." A gruff voice spoke.

"A child of Freyr, I believe…" A young female's voice spoke softly.

"Looks like the little doggy didn't do his job." Another female voice spoke with a chuckle, eliciting a bestial growl that also felt familiar.

"Not the time, please…" The soft voice spoke.

"She's right, bloodsucker." A nasal voice that felt familiar to Harry, spoke. "You hardly come out of that stupid castle of yours. You don't know just how hard it is to go up against Einherjar." It spoke as the female voice huffed.

"Thank you, Spriggan." The soft voice spoke.

"Don't get so excited, Kelp head. You're still an idiot with nothing but eyes for weapons."

"Yes…Hey!" The young voice exclaimed.

"Spriggan. Please." The regal voice spoke.

"Apologies, your majesty." The nasal voice spoke dryly.

"I can rectify it. I know where he is right now." The gruff voice spoke as Harry took a sharp intake of breath.

"It can't be me, can it?" He muttered.

"I would suggest against that, there are Einherjar guarding his home." A male voice spoke up.

"No need to risk another attack. Let him come to our lands."

"Yes, yes! Please let him come!" A squeaky voice spoke. "He'll look fine dancing for our pleasure till his arms fall off and his mouth starts spitting out blood rather than music!" The voice spoke, letting out a deranged laugh.

"Is everything music and dance to you?" The young voice spoke again as the squeaky voice laughed.

"Why, it gives me joy! Especially when our human toys are the ones performing! It is simply beautiful watching them twist and move their frail little bodies, and it is a shame they break apart after some time. Would you love it if I cast skepticism on your unending love to forge our greatest weapons?"

"N-No…"

"Enough. I declared the Court adjourned. All of you get back to your work now. We will leave him alone. But once he crosses Hadrian's wall…I will not tolerate failure." The regal voice spoke.

"Of course, your majesty." All the others spoke before a howl sounded in Harry's ears.

"I know you heard the court proceedings." The same gruff voice rattled his skull. "You were lucky those Einherjar had a powerful healer with them."

"W-Who are you?" Harry asked.

"Oh, you don't remember? You will soon enough. I've marked you as my prey, and I will not stop hunting you, 'Boy who lived'…" The voice spoke, spitting out the words 'Boy who lived'.

Two glowing red eyes suddenly opened up, boring into Harry.

"Your existence is an insult to my eyes. I will not rest until you pay for your family's crime in blood, DROP…"

Sirius' lifeless eyes flashed.

"By DROP…"

Lupin's corpse flashed.

"By DROP."

Harry's own corpse flashed.

"!" Harry gasped, sitting up, breathing heavily.

Harry frantically looked around in his own room.

What…was all that? Harry thought in terror, warily staring at even the shadows in his room. His heart hammered in his chest.

It's Voldemort…It has to be. Harry thought, trying to assure himself, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that it wasn't.

Harry thought back to the dementor attack, and then to his dream.

"Could it be…?" Harry spoke.

Soon, the day arrived. Hermione and Ron had been appointed the new Gryffindor prefects for the fifth year (Which was apparently the year for OWLs) and Harry and the others were soon headed for King's Cross station.

"Goodbye, Harry…" Sirius spoke. "And stay safe."

"Of course." Harry spoke with a smile.

"Have a good year, Ronnie." Ms. Weasely spoke.

"As long as he passes his OWLs." Hermione spoke as Ron frowned at her. "Hermione…"

Harry smiled at them, before noticing the same brown-haired man, who'd been sleeping on the bench a few days back, staring at him.

"He has Einherjar guarding his home."

I wonder who these 'Einherjar' are. Harry thought. He'll talk to Hermione about it in the train.

They apparated to King's cross station.

"Well, I never guessed I would become prefect…" Ron muttered.

"Don't worry, Ron. I think you'll make a good prefect." Hermione spoke.

Walking forward, Harry noticed a black dog brush up against him.

Sirius? Harry thought in excitement as Moody snapped at the dog. Harry ran forward, as the dog went down the stairs and into a room, where harry could see it transform into Sirius' silhouette.

"Sirius, what are you doing here? You could get caught!" Harry spoke entering.

Sirius chuckled. "I just wanted to see you one last time. Come on, sit down." Sirius spoke as Harry walked up and sat down beside Sirius on the bench.

"But they could send you back to Azkaban!" Harry protested as Sirius smiled.

"What's life without a little risk? Don't worry about me, I just came here to give you a gift." Sirius spoke before handing Harry a picture. Harry stared at th picture, with several people he did not recognize, all except for five individuals.

Peter Pettigrew.

Sirius.

Lupin.

His parents.

"The original order of the phoenix." Sirius spoke with a wistful smile, before reading out the names of some of the members.

They both smiled at the picture of a young James and Lily Potter.

"You know, a day doesn't go by when I don't miss your father." Sirius spoke as Harry looked back at his parents.

"I will not rest until you pay for your family's crimes in blood…"

The strange voice's words came back to Harry. What crimes? What did his family do?

"Um, Sirius?" Harry asked as Sirius looked at him. "Has my family…ever committed a crime?"

Sirius frowned. "Why, of course not! James and Lily were particularly wild in their operations for the Order, but there was never a single instance they ever offended someone seriously, other than You-Know-Who…"

But the one in my dream couldn't have been Voldemort. Harry thought.

"Why, is something bothering you?"

"It's alright." Harry spoke. "Thank you for the gift." He spoke before having one last hug with Sirius.

Harry headed to platform 93/4, meeting up with the others.

Hermione waved to him and Harry waved back, before someone bumped into him.

Someone cursed as Harry groaned on the floor. It was as if he'd been hit by a truck.

"You okay, man?" Someone spoke in an american accent as Harry looked at the culprit. They were a boy his age with black hair like his and green eyes, although they were sea green as opposed to his emerald ones. They wore a navy blue jacket and were carrying luggage.

"Yes, I'm…" Harry noticed the boy's eyes had widened.

Oh…does he recognize me? Harry thought with his lips twisting into a frown.

"There you are!" Another voice spoke as Harry noticed a blonde girl with stormy grey eyes and a pale grey jacket come up.

She looked at Harry and her eyes widened for a split second before narrowing at the boy.

"Percy, did you knock someone over?" She spoke as Percy scratched his head. "Look, I was looking back…"

"...He was trying to run off!" Another boy with brown curly hair and a troublemaker grin spoke.

"Harry! Are you alright?" Hermione spoke helping Harry up, who nodded to her.

Hermione turned upon the boy. "Honestly, could you watch where you were running off to?"

"I'm so sorry, Percy got a bit too excited…" The blonde girl spoke.

"Yeah, he stole my job!" The curly-haired boy spoke as Percy got him in a headlock. Harry heard a sigh and noticed a pale boy with black hair shaking his head from behind the group.

"Excuse us." Percy spoke before dragging the other boy off.

"People have no manners…" Hermione muttered. "Come on, on the train." She spoke as Harry cast one look at the strange Americans before getting on.

"You just had to bump into our ward, didn't you?!" Annabeth hissed as Percy smiled sheepishly, Leo still trying to scramble out of his headlock.

"Look, I just wanted to give Leo a little bro talk."

"By running on a platform filled with people?!"

"Hey guys…Could you not chew out Percy for a second and help me get out before he strangles me?" Leo spoke with a chuckle as Annabeth sighed.

"Percy, you're not a child, let him go."

"I technically am." Percy spoke with a grin.

"Don't use Hecate's spell as an excuse for this." Annabeth replied.

"Again, we should get on the train." Nico spoke before the four got on.

Inside the train, they searched for a compartment. But it seemed like almost every single one was full.

"Well, looks like we'll have to share. No demigod talk then." Nico spoke before entering the first compartment that they saw had empty seats.

Inside were Harry Potter and a platinum blonde girl reading a magazine.

"Hey…" Percy spoke as Harry looked at him. "Oh, hello!"

"Are these seats empty?"

"Well, Hermione and Ron are going to be mostly busy in the train, so I suppose you can sit down."

"Thanks!" Percy spoke before he, Nico and Leo sat down opposite while Annabeth sat beside them . "Again, so sorry for earlier…"

"It's alright. I'm fine." Harry spoke. "I didn't get your names, actually."

"Oh right, I'm Percy Jackson, this is Annabeth Chase, Leo Valdez, and Nico Di Angelo." Percy spoke as Nico again nodded in greeting.

"I'm Harry Potter, and this is Luna Lovegood." Harry spoke as Luna waved. "Hello." She spoke before going back to her magazine.

"Pleased to meet you. I sort of recognized you earlier." Percy spoke before frowning as a defensive look appeared on Harry's eyes.

"Is it about the news calling me a liar?" He spoke with an edge in his voice.

"Oh, no, no! It's about the whole 'surviving the killing curse' stuff." Percy spoke as Harry blinked before relaxing.

"Oh…"

"Speaking of which, what's this about a liar?" Annabeth asked.

"Yeah, did you like…rob a bank or something?" Leo asked as everyone looked at him.

"Why…would he rob a bank?" Annabeth asked.

"I-I…I don't know why that particular thought got into my head." Leo spoke, shrugging.

"No, no. Everyone thinks I'm lying about You-Know-Who coming back."

The demigods stiffened. They had heard from whatever they'd learnt from Hearth that Voldemort had been vanquished years ago in the same incident where Harry survived the killing curse.

Voldemort coming back, the whole fog problem, the fairies… Nico thought. He was pretty sure these were all linked together.

"Oh…so you think he's back?"

"Of course he's back! I fought him!" Harry spoke before sighing. "Sorry, this is a really frustrating topic for me."

Percy raised his hands. "It's cool, I'd be pretty mad if no one believed me on this too."

"Are you from America?" Luna asked as Percy smiled. "Yeah, I'm born and raised in New York, Annabeth was from Richmond, Virginia before her family shifted to San Francisco, Leo's from Houston, Texas but now lives in Indianapolis in Indiana, and Nico's italian but now lives in Los Angeles."

"Huh, you four seem really close, despite being from different parts of the country." Harry spoke.

"We go to the same summer camp together." Annabeth spoke. "Plus, we also learnt magic under the same mentor."

"Wait a minute, mentor? Are you not from Ilvermorny?"

"No, our mentor doesn't really like the schooling system in America. He wanted to teach us on his own. But as you know, OWLs are really important for your career, so he realized he couldn't continue teaching us like this. So, he sent us off to Hogwarts so that we could at least get the credentials to secure a job."

"Hm, strange."

"Guess who's the Slytherin prefect?" One of Harry's friends, a boy with fiery red hair, came up with a grimace.

Harry stared at him before grimacing as well. "Malfoy." He spat out.

"And that pug Pansy Parkinson." A girl with bushy hair spoke, crossing her arms before her eyes fell on Percy.

"You." She spoke as Percy blinked before looking at Annabeth with a grin, who stared back at him calmly.

"Percy…you should really consider the consequences of opening your mouth." Annabeth spoke as Percy turned back. "I have considered and I won't say it."

"Bushy Annabeth…" Leo accidentally let it slip out as Percy's smile grew.

"Excuse me?" The girl hissed as Leo shook his head.

"Oh wait, did I say that out loud…?" Leo spoke as Nico massaged his eyes.

"Hermione, it's fine. He's already apologized." Harry spoke gently as Hermione nodded. "Yes, you're right."

"Glad to see we're not having anymore problems…" Percy spoke before introducing themselves, with Harry giving helpful information.

"Oh, I see. That's certainly unique." Hermione spoke.

"Now Malfoy I assume is a bully?" Nico asked.

"Oh, absolutely!" The boy, Ron, spoke. "The git's always all high and mighty because his father's rich. Not to mention how badly he treats Hermione."

Nico gave a questioning tilt.

"She's a Muggleborn. And Malfoy's a blood purist."

"Blood purist?"

"Pure-blooded wizards who think those who don't have wizards as both of their parents are filth." Hermione supplied.

"Ah, so he's a racist bully." Percy spoke as Leo grinned, rubbing his hands. "You thinking what I'm thinking, Percy?"

"Of course." Percy spoke with a grin. "You and I are an unstoppable force."

"Damn right we are."

"You're not thinking of hurting Malfoy?" Hermione asked.

"Oh we're going to hurt him real bad…just not with our hands." Percy spoke as Nico let out a small smile. Now he wanted to be there when Percy and Leo met this Malfoy.

"We should maintain decorum, but honestly, go for it." Annabeth spoke. "If this Malfoy is as much of a jerk as you claim, I think a good laugh will do us some good."

"Hm, someone said my name." A snobby voice came up to reveal a platinum blonde boy with a sneer on his face, flanked by two other boys who looked like twins.

"So, Potter. Has your fame got that much into your head? Fighting off quirrell, a basilisk and dementors really boosted up your ego, didn't it?" Malfoy spoke.

"Shut up, Malfoy." Harry growled.

"Oh don't mind me, I'm just concerned about you disturbing the peace around here, maybe a mudblood's filling your head up with this…" Malfoy spoke with a side glance towards Hermione, who scowled back at him.

"Malfoy…!" Ron snarled, moving up to Malfoy's face before being pushed back by the other two.

"I think you should be less concerned about the peace and more about someone mistaking you for a wax sculpture, because gods that's a lot of gel on your hair." Percy spoke up as Malfoy narrowed his eyes.

"At least its better than that jungle on your head…" Malfoy spat as Leo chuckled.

"Sorry about Percy's little comment. He doesn't understand what it's like to paste his hair against his skull." Leo spoke. "Not all of us really live in dark dingy castles like discount draculas."

"Oh? Perhaps you should go see a doctor, because I don't look like a bloodsucking vampire…"

"You don't look like one, but inside…" Percy spoke tapping his heart. "I think we all know the truth."

"Shut it!" Malfoy snapped. "What do you even have against me?"

"You're a jerk. Simple as that."

"What? I'm being mean to her?" Malfoy spoke gesturing at Hermione. "What are you, mudbloods like her?"

Annabeth went to get up, but Leo forced her down with an elbow to her shoulder. "Right on point, my guy. We're all just normal-halfbloods." He spoke with a grin. "You can see that from the fact that we're not vampires who went ham on their hair with some really strong glue."

"Would you stop going back to my hair?!" Malfoy yelled as Leo mock gasped.

"Why, my good man!" He spoke in a fake British accent. "I think it is a genuine problem here!"

"Exactly, Sir Leonidas Valdez is correct!" Percy joined in as Annabeth burst into a fit of giggles at his terrible accent. "I think…I think…Hey Annabeth, what's that old word for 'you' again?"

"Thou."

"Right. I think thou should rethink your hair styling choices." Percy spoke as Malfoy's face went red with anger.

The two boys stepped up, and Annabeth rose up. "Step back, or I'll chuck you out of this train." She spoke with a glare as the boys stepped back in fear.

Malfoy huffed. "We'll see how much you laugh about my hair at the end of this year." He spoke going to walk off, as Leo and Percy leaned out of the compartment.

"Oh, trust me, Malfoy! We're going to laugh a lot." Percy spoke laughing.

"Thank you for availing the Aquaflame Roasting Services. Please leave a 5-star review…"

"SOD OFF!"

"...It really helps us improve." Leo spoke before Percy and Leo burst into laughter.

"That dude needs some serious work in comebacks if me making bad jokes about his hair sets him off." Percy spoke wheezing.

"I know! That tomato face with his blonde hair was just chef's kiss." Leo spoke as they sat back down.

"Bloody hell, you two! You really made Malfoy lose his mind!" Ron spoke as Percy waved his hand.

"Oh, please. I didn't know much about him, so I went with some bad jokes. I don't know how they worked on him." He spoke.

Harry smiled. "You should teach me. It'd be fun getting back at Malfoy for once." He spoke as Leo grinned.

"You got it! Me and Percy'll make sure you spit out flames by the end of the year."

Nico smiled shaking his head before frowning as he looked at a scar on Harry's head.

Hold on…is that a piece of someone's soul? Nico thought in confusion.

"Interesting…" Nico spoke as Annabeth looked at him.

"Nico? Something…?"

"No, nothing." He spoke.

Hours later in the evening, As the train passed by Hadrian's wall and into scotland, Barghest sat with a bunch of Black Shucks, dogs whose bodies were rippling with shadows and eyes glowed an ethereal red, on the plains, gazing at the train to Hogwarts moving in the distance.

Beside Barghest stood a tall woman in white robes, a grey hood pulled over her head with a green belt around her waist along with a stoat cloak around her shoulders. Her skin was pale and red hair cascaded down her shoulders with a wreath of yew leaves sitting on the top of her head.

Two large purple butterfly wings springing out of her back. She stared at the ground with her grassy green eyes, which held a sorrowful look to them. She held a black wooden staff with yellow runes glowing on them.

"They're here, Morgan." Barghest growled as Morgan continued staring at the ground.

"Morgan?" Barghest asked before a Black Shuck nudged Morgan, breaking her out of her trance.

"Huh?"

"The train's here." Barghest growled as Morgan nodded. "Right, right…You have a few minutes before the spell wears off." She spoke unfocussed.

"Morgan, focus on the job." Barghest as Morgan sighed before tapping the ground with her staff a few times.

The train stopped, as the train's lights went off and Barghest looked at the Black Shucks.

"Be quick." He growled as the Black Shucks snarled, baring their fangs before heading towards the train, running with saliva coming out of their mouths as they let out rabid growls.

"Welcome to Scotland, Potter." Barghest spoke before leaving with Morgan.

Nico's eyes opened after a short nap. He noticed the lights were off, and Harry and Luna had fallen asleep.

"There's something wrong." Percy spoke as Annabeth appeared at the doorway.

"Everyone in the train is asleep except us." Annabeth spoke as Percy immediately scowled.

"Is it like Morpheus?" He asked as Annabeth nodded. "Most likely. It's probably not affected us because we're demigods. But this means…"

"You hear that?" Nico heard Leo ask as his ears picked up growls from their right, getting louder.

Nico also sensed a power similar to his coming from the same direction and looked out the window.

His eyes widened as he noticed black shapes running towards the train in the grass.

"Percy! Monsters!" Nico hissed as the demigods went on alert. They brought out their respective weapons and stepped out into the train.

"Where are they?" Annabeth asked him.

"Getting close." Nico whispered as he felt the black shapes get closer.

Closer…

Closer…

The black shapes suddenly warped out of his range as Nico gasped.

"Shadow travel!" He yelled as a large shadowy dog with red eyes jumped out of Annabeth's shadow, attempting to head towards Harry.

Annabeth whirled back and decapitated the dog.

Nico sensed something trying to come out of his shadow, stabbing his sword towards his shadow as it impaled another dog trying to come up in the mouth.

"I'll go that way!" Annabeth spoke running off to one side.

"Leo and I'll stay here to protect Harry!" Percy spoke as Nico nodded before heading off the other direction.

As he ran through the train, Nico noticed several other of those dogs heading towards him.

Nico cut down the first one, before crouching as the second one jumped over him. Nico willed the shadows to drag back the second one as the third one attempted to pounce on him, holding it back with his left hand and stabbing it in the chest, before swinging behind him to cut down the second one.

Nico noticed Hermione and Ron slumped against doors as one of the dogs sniffed them with a growl, before opening its mouth around Hermione's head.

Nico's eyes widened as he came up through Hermione's shadow and cut the dog's head off.

Nico continued through the train, cutting down dogs before hearing growls behind him and running back.

There, he met Annabeth. She fought off a bunch of dogs, opening a compartment door as a dog slammed against it, stunning it while three others charged. Annabeth cut down one as she drove her elbow against the second one, driving it to the ground before stabbing it in the throat with her blade. The third dog bit at her blade.

Nico ran up and bashed his sword's hilt against the dog's head, making it stumble. Annabeth took the opportunity and lashed out with a brutal spinning kick, slamming the dog against the wall and crushing its skull between her foot and the wall.

Annabeth looked at Nico and quickly pulled out her wand.

"Stupefy!" She yelled as a light shot past Nico and hit a dog coming up behind him.

Nico gave a nod of thanks, the same gestured reciprocated by Annabeth.

"My sides's clear." Nico spoke, as he looked at the dog sliding down the wall leaving black marks on the wall before dissipating into purple energy particles.

"Annabeth." He spoke as Annabeth looked at the wall.

"Were your kicks this strong?"

Annabeth smiled before jolting as the lights came up.

The two demigods' eyes widened.

"Hide your weapons!" Annabeth hissed as she and Nico quickly hid their weapons before hurrying back as the others began waking up.

They found Percy and Leo in a charred compartment, both boys covered in soot.

"Uh…" Nico spoke as Leo shook his head.

"Don't ask."

"What did you do?" Annabeth hissed as Percy raised his hand.

"We don't want to talk about it." He spoke. "But really. We're not even a few minutes into Scotland and we already got a monster attack. I think that's record time for a monster attack."

"If this is how it's going to be for our entire quest, then yeah. I'm not liking this." Leo spoke.

The conversation couldn't be continued as Harry soon woke up. Annabeth had removed any traces of the fight, and the four remained silent for the rest of the journey.

A/N: Considering I don't want to read the books, I've given up on trying to stick to canon dialogues and just making up my own shit based on my understanding of the personalities of the characters.

In this entire section, perhaps my favourite part was the exchange between Percy, Leo and Malfoy. Not because of the insults being fired off, but because I wanted to try out Malfoy not getting overly bashed by the demigods and look pathetic. Lots of fanfics tend to do that, and I think I enjoy it a lot better when Malfoy tries to put up a fight and just acts more like 'I shouldn't be wasting my time with these idiots' than a scaredy cat.

And if you have noticed, there is someone in this chapter whose name you can recognise. They won't be exactly what their reputation expects them to be like.

Hope you guys enjoyed and Constructive Criticism is appreciated!

Still no reviews, huh. It's alright. I'll keeping waiting.
