(the air above a forest)
Naruto and the others were on Pyra flying above a massive forest
it had been a few days since Toph joined the team and she got along with everyone…...well mostly everyone
"Will you stop hanging off Naruto?" Katara asked Toph who was sitting next to Naruto hanging onto his arm
"I don't see the big problem, sugar queen." Toph said as she was very comfortable
"Sugar queen?" Katara asked her eyebrow twitching
"I give nicknames to everyone" Toph said as she didn't need to explain herself to him
"Ha! sugar queen that's perfect!" Korra said as she laughed
"What's hers?" Katara asked wondering what her sister's was
"Amazon." Toph said simply
"I approve" Korra said with a smile as she liked that name
"Fan girl" Toph said pointing at Suki's direction
"And mine?" Asami asked curiously
"Tinkerer." Toph said as she couldn't think of anything better
Asami smiled at this liking this nickname
"And you are whiskers." Toph said to Naruto
"How do you know he has whisker marks?" Katara asked
"Well something on his face is funny, so I'm guessing they're whiskers." Toph said as that was actually a lie as she pet them
"More like birthmarks but close enough" Naruto said
"Hey its better then my first idea for a nickname third leg" Toph said with a smirk
This got various reactions from the other girls
"Wait how do you know that?" Katara asked doubting they slept together as there was no opportunity
"I see through the earth, so when I 'see' I see a person's whole body, seriously I thought he had a sword at first." Toph said elbowing him a little
"Not the way I would have wanted that information to get out" Naruto said as he shook his head at Toph's antics
"So you're not gonna show us if it's true?" Korra asked before getting hit by her sister
"Gotta earn that big ass" Naruto said not looking at Korra
Asami blushed and licked her lips a bit at what Toph said
"So was your mom a cat or something?" Toph asked rubbing the whiskers
"Keep doing that and you may get that show early." Naruto said to her teasingly
"Hey you think you can handle me I'm game any time whis- whoa!" Toph yelled out
Everyone looked as Naruto now had Toph pinned to the ground with him on top of her back
"I'm sorry, was that too much to handle moon eyes?" Naruto asked smirking
Toph blushed feeling her words backfire on her "I didn't mean a spar you fool" she grumbled
"Yea he's a little thick that way" Korra said with a smile
"Says the queen of thick." Naruto said as he looked at Korra
"You love it" Korra said with a smirk
"Not as much as Katara as she always looks at it." Naruto said
"I do not! I sit behind her when we ride Pyra!" Katara said with her face red
"I can tell your lying" Toph said in a sing song voice
"Wait, you can tell who's lying?" Suki asked impressed
"See through the earth, remember I see and hear everything as you stand on the earth I can hear your heartbeat." Toph said as it was as simple as breathing for her
"Ah so if someone lies you can feel a slight reaction" Naruto asked her curious about how it worked
"Exactly now get off me whiskers" Toph said wanting up now
"Awww I was gonna take you in front of the others" Naruto said as he got off Toph
Katara blushed hearing this and smacked Naruto in the back of the head "Why does the new sage have to be so pervy?" she said to herself
"Hey I'm surrounded by beautiful women I'm not a monk" Naruto said as he rubbed where Katara smacked him
"Besides he was kidding sugar queen" Toph said sounding disappointed as she got up
"You are worse then he is" Katara said knowing Toph was serious about being disappointed
"Damn straight, I am finally free from my parents and if I want to have Naruto wear my ass out then I will" Toph said
"Yeah we kinda got that you like your freedom you've kept your bindings off ever since we left." Asami said to her looking at her bust
"Don't be a hater tinkerer" Toph said as she pushed her chest forward
"Are we near a village? I'm hungry." Korra said as she put her hands on her stomach
"I think so but look at this there's a burnt forest nearby Naruto said pointing down below
"Did you visit it?" Toph asked Pyra before getting hit by one of the dragons horns as Pyra wasn't amused
"No but the forest looks freshly burnt Korra said as she saw some smoke from the forest
"Let's go take a look" Naruto said as he led Pyra down to the ground below
When they landed and got off they saw that it was indeed freshly burnt down
Katara looked around and saw a piece of fire nation armor in the soot
"Fire nation always destroying nature." Korra said as she was angry
"Yea this is just unnecessary" Naruto said as he frowned as he loved nature to see it so unnecessarily burned was tragic
"Can you fix it? I heard the sage of six paths could make entire forests." Asami asked
"When I get some food in me sure, I can't do much on an empty stomach." Naruto said
"I feel a town nearby" Toph said feeling the village with her special 'vision'
"Good we stop there, eat, and come back and fix this mess." Naruto said
"Good I could use a real bed" Korra said as they all got back on Pyra
"No need for a inn I have a solution I just need some supplies which I can get in this town" Naruto said
"What are you planning?" Katara asked thinking he was up to trouble
"Nothing to get us in trouble mother" Naruto said with a teasing smile
"Ha, nice." Toph said as she hugged onto Naruto's arm again as they took off
Katara scowled as she sat next to Korra
"You're jealous of Toph aren't you?" Korra asked more like stated
"No, no I'm not!" Katara said
"She's not the only one that can tell you're lying" Korra said teasingly
Katara frowned at this and watched Naruto and Toph up front at the reigns of pyra
(15 minutes later)
Korra petted Naga as everyone got off of Pyra in the village Toph sensed
A older man approached them "Are you the Avatar?" he asked Katara
"I am." Katara said nodding at the man
"Thank the spirits, we have a problem only you can solve." The man said
"I'm more than happy to help you and your village" Katara said quickly
The man led them to a building in the back of the village
"Where are all the people?" Asami asked as the village looked barren
"They are hiding inside their homes" Toph said as she scanned for everyone nearby
"A terrible spirit has been tormenting us, taking members of our village never to be seen again." The man said in fear and panic
"A spirit?" Suki asked curious as to why a spirit would do this
"It is called Hei Mei, it just appeared one day." The man said in fear from saying the name
"Well the Avatar is the bridge between the spirit world and the human world" Korra said remembering what gran gran told her and katara as kids
"So is the Sage of six paths, sorta." Asami said looking at Naruto getting a nod
"You are the sage?" the man asked surprised
"Yes, not to sound greedy but do you have food? To do anything I need energy and I can't do much on a empty stomach." Naruto said as his stomach growled to signify a point
"Of course! we will give you a feast before sunset so you are ready for when Hei Bai returns" the man said
"Feast? Hell yeah." Toph said grinning
"We aren't taking away from your people are we?" Katara asked
Naruto smiled at this liking that katara was so caring
"I will not lie, this year's harvest has been slow ever since the fire nation burned down that forest." The man said to them sadly
"Wait did Hei Bai show up before or after the fire nation burned down the forest?" Naruto asked curiously
"A few days after, yes." The old man said nodding
"I think I have a idea what pissed off this spirit." Naruto said as spirits usually were kind and didn't do anything unless provoked
Katara thought about it and her eyes widened "he's a forest spirit" she said in realization
"Burning his forest must've caused him to go mad. Now he's attacking any human he sees." Naruto said as he realized that Hei Bai must think all people were responsible
"How do you calm down a pissed off spirit?" Korra asked wondering how one did that
"We'll find that out." Naruto said as he and Katara looked at each other
After eating Naruto sat in a kneeling position at the villages gateway with Katara, closing his eyes as they waited for Hei Bai
(Few hours later at Night)
Naruto and Katara were both meditating outside the village
'It's coming.' Kurama said as he could sense the spirit approaching
Naruto opened his eyes and stood up
"Something is coming" Katara said as her eyes opened from meditation
Suddenly a large black and white four armed creature just appeared out of nowhere walking out of the forest
"Huh black and white, must be some kind of panda." Naruto said taking notice of its color thinking of that particular forest land animal
'When it's not pissed off.' Kurama said
Katara got up off the ground and approached Hei Bai who started to growl at her
"I know why you're mad but these people are innocent Katara said
Hei Bai roared unleashing some kind of light from its mouth ready to attack
"I know humans have destroyed what's yours, but it will live again!" Naruto said as he held up a acorn
"If you release the people you have taken Naruto can restore the forest" Katara said
Hei Bai tilted his head looking at Naruto
"I am the new Sage of Six Paths, I can use my chakra to revive your destroyed forest, just please bring back the people you've taken and leave them in peace." Naruto said as it was an honest and fair trade
Hei Bai looked at Naruto and Katara and nodded as he took the form of a panda and turned around and left leaving behind fresh bamboo which shook as people started to walk out of it
"Now, to keep my end of the deal." Naruto said as he began walking towards the part of the destroyed forest, when he got there he found a panda totem surrounded by smaller wooden animals
He began to focus his chakra before going through hand signs before finally slamming his palm on the ground "Wood Style, Great Forest Emergence!" he said as his chakra flowed out of his hand into the ground
Forest life soon burst out of the ground and restored the entire forest
He looked and smiled as the eyes on the wooden panda flashed for a second "May your forest remain untouched for all days." he said before heading back to the village
Halfway there he saw something blue "... Is that a dragon?" he said squinting his eyes
"Naruto!" he heard as he looked and saw katara and the others running over
"Wow you actually restored the forest" Toph said as she felt it through her feet and it felt magical
"Yeah but does nobody notice the dragon?" he asked them curiously
"What dragon?" Suki asked not seeing any flying reptiles
"The big blue dragon just hovering right there." Naruto said pointing over them
"They do say the Sage can see right into the spirit world." Asami said
"It's big, serpentine with wings, looks old." Naruto said as he described it
"Hey didn't Avatar Roku have a dragon companion?" Korra asked as she remembered all the stories about dragons
"Ah I get it" Naruto said as he looked up at the sky and spotted the blue dragon again "a spirit" he said as he guessed this was the more transparent type ghost where few could see
"What's it doing?" Katara asked curiously
"Eyeballing you." Naruto said as it was creepy how it was just staring at him
The dragon then flew down and landed
"Am I touching it?" Suki asked as she waved her arms not being able to see the dragon
"Ew you're picking its nose." Naruto said as her hand was going through its nose making her pull her arms back
The dragon looked at Katara and his whisker approached Katara and tapped her forehead making her eyes flash white and she dropped
To Suki, Korra, Asami and Toph Katara seemed to just be laying down but to Naruto she was still visible, only blue and out of her body
The dragon then pulled his whisker away and Katara looked at him and nodded at him and her spirit got on the dragon and took off
"Where'd my sister go?" Korra asked in worry
"I think it wants to take her somewhere." Naruto said as he picked up Katara's body
"She's going to be okay right?" Korra asked still worried for her sister
"As long as nothing happens to her physical body her spirit should be untouched, but it's the matter of the spirit returning to the body." Naruto said
"Then let's get back to the town we can protect her better there" Asami said
they all nodded and headed back to the village
(the next morning)
Naruto was awake watching Katara sleep while the others slept
'She will be fine kid' Kurama said
"It's been hours, where did it take her?" Naruto said
'It's a previous avatar's companion, if it took her somewhere it had to be important.' Kurama said as a spirit wouldn't just take someone without a reason
'if something happens to her I swear il-' Naruto thought before his thoughts were interrupted with katara waking up
"Ugh spirit travel feels so weird." Katara said as she held her head
"Well morning sleeping beauty." Naruto said with a smile
"You're awake!" Korra said pulling katara into a hug surprising her
"We were worried, what happened? Where'd you go?" Suki asked wanting details
"I met Avatar Roku and he told me a few things" katara said
"Well let's hear it" Toph said also wanting details
"I need to end this war by next summer before Sozin's comet comes" Katara said as she had a look of pure realization and slight panic
"Sozin?" Naruto asked never hearing that name before
"That old man expects you to master all four elements in a year?" Toph asked as that was a high and tall order
"Being the avatar was never going to be easy." Katara said with a light shrug
"But you barely started waterbending" Asami said as some masters took years to master their element
"And how are you supposed to learn airbending if all the airbenders are gone?" Suki asked
"There are hidden communities of Airbenders we just need to find them" Naruto said remembering what the sun tribe told him
"Well that's another thing Roku helped me with. Do you have a map?" Katara asked Naruto
Naruto nodded and pulled out a map and opened it
katara looked at it and pointed at a area in the mountains "This is where a community of Airbenders live in secret" she said
"Roku's dragon showed you where they are?" Asami asked curiously
"Yes we need to head there next" Katara said as she seemed a little stressed from her trip
"If we recruit a Airbender then we have two masters for you" Korra said liking h this idea
"Who's the first?" Katara asked lightly smirking
"Hey!" Toph said sounding offended
"Well it's morning so let's get moving Naruto said
"Come on Naga, we gotta go!" Korra said trying to get her polar bear dog up who wouldn't budge
Naruto helped Katara off her bed onto her feet
"You ok?" he asked wondering what kinda things she was shown as ghosts weren't known to be tactful
"Yea I am a little intimidated by what I have to do now but I'm determined to do it" Katara said
"That's what I like to hear." Naruto said glad to see she was doing better and had steeled her nerves
"What about you? you ok?" Katara asked curious as to how he was feeling
"Hey all night I was worried about you, not so much me. I know we can do this together." Naruto said with a smile
"You were that worried?" Katara asked feeling flattered
"Whiskers barely got a wink of sleep last night." Toph said as she put her stuff in Pyra's saddle
"I'm a ninja, I'm used to not sleeping for days." Naruto said
"Little help?" Korra's muffled voice came from under Naga who decided to roll over onto Korra
Naruto grabbed a fish from Pyra's saddle and waved it in front of Naga's nose "Come on girl, fresh fish." he said
The polar bear dog's eyes opened and she looked at the fish before rolling over and eats it
"Gah, of course food would wake you." Korra said getting up
"Naga should run more, she's looking a little pudgy." Suki said teasingly getting the polar bear dog to raise her arm to look at herself and then glare at Suki
"Naga isn't fat shes fluffy" Korra said hugging her companion
As they all got on Pyra Katara took a seat next to Naruto, she then hugged his arm
"What?" Naruto asked curiously
"Just felt like doing it." Katara said simply
"She thinks your sweet for worrying about her" Korra said with a teasing grin
"S-shut up!" Katara said
"Bet you all the airbender will be a girl." Korra said as everyone looked at her "What it's always girls that this guy runs into." she said gesturing to herself and the others
"Well I do need to restore my clan" Naruto said with a laugh as they took off
"I'm game joining a harem will make my dad have a heart attack" Toph said with a massive grin
"Keep talking about it and Katara may faint and fall." Korra said pointing at her sisters atomic red face laughing
Naruto pulled Katara close to him "Don't worry I won't let her fall" he said
Katara's red face got darker and steam came from her ears
"Relax I'm not gonna hurt you" Naruto said petting Katara's head
Katara nodded and rested her head on his shoulder 'this is nice' she thought
"Enjoying yourself?" Asami asked Katara
"Yes, now shut up!" Katara yelled with a fierce blush
"Whatever sugar queen." Toph said as she didn't care
"Careful Naruto may be scared off by you being so mean" Korra said teasingly
"Not likely if anything her being fiery makes me like her more Naruto said
"Really?" Suki asked curiously
"She reminds me of my mom, give her red hair and she'd be my dream girl, no offense to all of you but liking redheads is in my genes thanks to my dad." Naruto said
'Not a lot of redheads in the four nations kid' Kurama said with a laugh
'Yeah I noticed, same with blondes.' Naruto mentally said
(A few days later )
"Man and I thought we lived away from people." Korra said as they all got off Pyra on a mountain top
"You sure there's a hidden community of Airbenders out here?" Suki asked looking around and seeing nothing
"Well knowing how this stuff normally goes with me, they'll probably pop out and try attacking us." Naruto said nonchalantly
"They are under us" Toph said as she got down off pyra and stepped onto the earth
"Airbenders living underground?" Asami asked quirking her eyebrow
"Clever" Naruto said with a smirk
"Yeah the fire nation would never think to look for Airbenders there" Katara said
"Well let's go find a entrance" Suki said
"I could make one." Toph said
"and scare them? Naruto asked
"Or risk bringing the whole mountain down on top of them?" Katara said
"Hey I can be subtle sugar queen" Toph said
"Yeah, it's as subtle as a boulder." Katara said
"You wanna start something with me?!" Toph yelled getting in Katara's face
"I ain't scared of you" Katara said not backing down
Naruto came around and grabbed the two by their ears "No fighting you two" he said
"Yea not unless your gonna kiss" Korra said with a smile
Katara had a light pout as she rubbed her ear as Toph did the same
"I-I could do better than sugar queen" Toph stuttered as she fought her blush down
"Technically, didn't you already kiss him, or he you?" Asami asked her
"Hey yea you stole my first kiss whiskers!" toph yelled
"And I gave you mine." Naruto said
"You're kidding" Korra asked not believing that
'Your first kiss was that uchiha brat.' Kurama said snickering
'i can't hear you' Naruto said in clear denial
"Huh it feels like your lying but not really" Toph said
"You didn't accidentally kiss a guy did you?" Korra asked
Naruto froze at this
"Bingo" toph said with a smirk feeling it was the truth thanks to her senses
"I-I fucking slipped and it happened, shut up!" Naruto said blushing
The girls all started laughing at this
"Find your own way down." Naruto said walking away pouting with Pyra walking beside him in her shrunken state
"That's OK I can get us all down" Toph said as she stomped her foot and made a makeshift elevator down the mountain
"Show off!" Naruto yelled as they all passed him
"Love you too, whiskers!" Toph yelled with a laugh as they approached the bottom of the mountain and entered a forest
"Any of you ever bring up that kiss thing again and you can take Naga to the north pole." Naruto said still pouting
"Baby" Korra said teasingly
"OK Toph you feel where a entrance is?" Suki asked as she tried to stop giggling at Naruto
"Hmm, kinda." Toph said to him
"Well lead the way fat ass" Naruto said still upset
"You love it." Toph said leading the way and smacking her ass for Naruto
Naruto bit his lip Slightly at this but shook his head to regain focus
(A hour later)
"You'd think a group of airbenders living underground would make some kind of entrance for the next avatar or something." Naruto said as he sat down on a rock only for the rock to sink and the sound of gears turning was heard
"Of course your butt finds it." Suki said giggling
A path began to reveal itself as the mountain opened up showing a doorway
"Let's get moving" Naruto said as he led the way
As they walked into the mountain the opening closed behind them
"Great now we're in the dark, I swear if one bat lands on me." Katara said
The roof then lit up thanks to some glowing crystals
"Wow" the girls besides Toph said looking up at the crystals
"What? What is it?" Toph asked looking around sounding frustrated
Naruto grabbed her hand at this "Some crystals are shining illuminating the tunnel" he said
"Oh… y-you can let go of my hand now." She said stuttering a little
"No I don't think I will" Naruto said teasingly
Before Toph could respond she looked down the tunnel "We have company" she said
"Of course we do." Naruto said in a deadpan voice
Soon they saw some figures approached them
"Greetings, we are airbenders, members of the White Lotus, what brings you here?" A male said
Naruto held up a pai sho tile with a white lotus on it getting there attention "We are here to find a Airbender to join us" he said
"Yes I'm the avatar and will need a master to teach me" Katara said
"Follow us." the male said
They followed the men and soon approached a big area with glowing crystals lighting up the area showing that there was a entire town
"Wow you guys have a entire town under a mountain" Katara said
Naga perked her head up and ran off Pyra following her
"Damn it, Naga!" Korra said running after her polar bear dog and their dragon
the man laughed at this finding this amusing as he took off his hood showing he had a airbending tattoo on his head
They heard bellowing and as they turned the corner they saw Pyra and Naga playing with Air Bison
"Air Bison? I thought they were extinct." Asami said seeing the majestic flying creature in awe
"When the temples began to be targeted we came here, taking all the air bison with us." The male said
"And I assume you're the leader?" Naruto asked simply
"I am Tenzin, good to meet the new avatar and sage." Tenzin said as if already knowing
"You recognize us?" Katara asked wondering how he knew
"Yes of course we keep up with the outside world now, there has to be a reason you came here, after all not everyone knows about our location." Tenzin said to her
"Well Avatar Roku told me where to find you" Katara said as that was pretty much it
"Ah you have communicated with the spirits that's a good first step on your avatar journey" Tenzin said
"Is there a place where I can rest my eyes, they've been burning for days." Naruto said
"Burning eyes? You must be getting ready to awaken the Rinnegan." Tenzin said
"You're well informed" Naruto said
"We have scrolls from the Sage's time, you're free to look at them." Tenzin said
"Ahh!" Korra said as she hugged a baby Air Bison "They're so fluffy!" she said
"Why would anyone wanna hurt something so cute!" Suki said before the baby bison she was hugging licked her covered her in slobber
"Well I'm glad your enjoying the Air Bison" a woman there age said she had brown hair in long pigtails she had DD-cup breasts and a bubbly round ass
"This is Ikki, my second daughter." Tenzin said
"She a Airbender?" Naruto asked seeing her arrow tattoos
"As are my oldest daughter and youngest son." Tenzin said
"Going like rabbits much?" Toph said snickering
"Be nice." Katara said flicking toph on the nose
Ikki was feeding the air bisons and spreading out the food with her airbending
"Not bad" Naruto said
"The girl or her airbending?" Toph asked snickering
"Oh give it a rest already." Naruto said
"Ikki can you go get your sister?" Tenzin asked
"Yes, she should be flying with Appa." Ikki said
"Their bison may fly but no one can replace you girl." Katara said petting Naga before getting licked in the face
"Don't forget our favorite little dragon." Naruto said holding Pyra up who yawned before scratching her ear with her back foot
"A polar bear dog as a companion, you must be born from the water tribe right?" Ikki asked Katara
"Yup me and my sister are from the southern water tribe
"To be honest I almost thought the muscular one was the avatar." Ikki said chuckling
"Yea I have heard that a lot" Katara said
"Don't let it get you down you helped stop Hei Bai your a great avatar" Naruto said
"Is that a spirit? Jinora will be excited to hear that" Ikki said with a smile
"Could you please not eat my pants?" Naruto asked a baby bison who was nibbling on his pants leg
The baby bison spat out his pant leg and flew off
"Wow they are well trained" Suki said
"Yeah we train them all so each one is ready for when someone picks one. Cyclone here gives us some strong bison, don't you girl?" Ikki said as she petted the adult bison sitting next to her
The bison groaned in response
"Is she yours?" Naruto asked
"Oh no Appa belongs to my family, I just like caring for all the bison." Ikki said as she petted said bison
Well from what I have heard the best air nomads are friends with animals" Naruto said with a smile
"And I've heard all animals are friends with the sage of the six paths." Ikki said
Naruto nodded at this as some baby bison flew around him excited
Naruto chuckled as he made a few balls of air and made the calves chase them
they then heard a groan up above and they saw another adult bison
"Ah that's Appa now" Ikki said with a smile
The large bison then landed almost on top of Ikki nuzzling her making her laugh
they saw another woman on the head of Appa she had short brown hair with a side bun she also had Airbender tattoos like Ikki she had High DD cup breasts and a Atlantic build and ass
"This is Jinora, my oldest daughter." Tenzin said
"Okay Appa, I'm happy to see you too." Ikki said as Appa got off of Ikki
"It is great to meet you, Avatar." Jinora said bowing before Korra
"Oh come on seriously?" Katara said
"Not me it's her" korra said with a chuckle pointing at katara
"oh! please forgive my rudeness" Jinora said bowing her head at Katara
"You don't need to bow." Naruto said
"My apol...ogies." Jinora said as she and Naruto looked at each other
the others watched this amused
Tenzin then cleared his throat making Jinora jump and look away from Naruto blushing lightly
"Wow you made a air nomad swoon for you whiskers" Toph said with a laugh
"Shut up." Naruto said
"My daughters are among the best of their generation." Tenzin said giving them praise
"Perfect we need a teacher to join us so Katara can learn" Suki said
"Leave the village? Ikki asked with wide eyes
"Oh no" Jinora said with a sigh
"What's wro- hey!" Katara yelled as Ikki got in her face with a massive smile
"Take me with you!" She yelled
Tenzin sighed at this as he expected this
"My sister has always dreamed of going on an adventure to see the different animals of the world." Jinora said
"Not just us, Appa has wanted too, haven't you?" Ikki asked, only receiving a groan as the air bison ate hay. "He's agreeing on the inside." she said
"Well if you are willing to teach Katara airbending then you can come" Naruto said
"I should come too Ikki isn't the best with the spiritual aspect of airbending" Jinora said
"Yea and katara definitely needs to learn that too" Korra said
"Hey I'm more spiritual than you" Katara said
"Very well you both may go with the Avatar" Tenzin said
This got a cheer from Ikki who jumped high into the air thanks to her airbending
Naruto caught her bridal style before she landed on the ground
Ikki blushed lightly being held in his arms
Appa huffed behind them
"Ah, is someone jealous?" Ikki asked as she patted Appa's nose laughing lightly as Naruto put her down
Appa looked at Naruto and huffed at him sending him flying back a bit
"I don't think he likes me." Naruto said

At least now we have another way to travel, no offense Pyra but some of us don't like having your back ride up our ass." Korra said as she rubbed her butt
Pyra blew a raspberry at Korra at this
"Yeah some of her back ridges can be a bit uncomfortable." Naruto said
"I'm talking about her spikes." Korra said as the spikes on Pyra were very uncomfortable
"Yeah as that saddle only fits you and the two behind you." Suki said as it was kind of uncomfortable to be one of the group that couldn't get the comfortable part of the saddle
"Well Appa can carrey most of you so don't worry" Ikki said with a smile
"Are you just sunshine personified?" Naruto asked Ikki
"Yep." Ikki said smiling brightly making some cover their eyes to avoid the bright glare
"Now what's this story I heard from Ikki about you meeting a spirit?" Jinora asked excitedly
"Oh we had a incident with the spirit Hei Bai because of his forest burning down" Katara said
"Thankfully we were able to calm him down by me restoring his forest" Naruto said
"We can get more details later before you all leave we shall throw a going away party for you two" Tenzin said to Jinora and Ikki
"Or at least until my eyes stop burning." Naruto said hating how gaining the rinnegan was burning his eyes
"Give it a night you should be fine" Korra said
Katara grabbed Naruto's hand as they all followed Tenzin
Naruto looked at Katara and smiled "I'll be ok" he said hoping to comfort her
(few hours later)
We see Pyra rubbing her slightly bulging belly that was full of fish before she burped a little before smiling as she sat near Naga and Appa
"Wow the airbenders can actually throw a party" Toph said smiling as she took a bite of her food
"Well the airbenders like to have fun you only live once you know" Jinora said
"Naruto, here I baked you a cake!" Ikki said handing Naruto a slice of cake
"Can she cook?" Naruto asked Jinora
"Oh yea she's one of the best in the village" Jinora said reassuring him
"Great then." Naruto said as he took a bite and froze "Is she seeing anyone?" he asked Jinora seriously
"No." Jinora said simply
"I gotta teach her how to make ramen." Naruto said
"Best way to a man's heart is his stomach." Korra said remembering what her Gran Gran said to her
Katara lightly glared at Ikki pouting
"Best cake ever!" Naruto said making Ikki smile brightly
"I thought he was dating you" Jinora whispered to Katara
"I wish" Katara sighed
"Naruto's the last of his clan and his clan's laws allow him to have a harem to restore it." Toph said flatly as she ate some cake
"Toph!" Katara said blushing lightly
"Oh lighten up sugar queen you better get used to it if you want to be with Naruto" Toph said with a smirk
"Oh I have heard of this in my books" Jinora said as she looked for said book
"What books have you read?" Korra asked curiously with a smirk wondering if she could get a look
Jinora blushed at the implication of what korra said
"Ah someone into the dirty kind of books huh?" Toph said teasingly
Naruto looked over to see some airbenders playing instruments before he walked over to Katara "May I have this dance?" he asked
"U-Uh, w-what?" Katara said stuttering
Naruto grabbed her hand and pulled her to the dance floor, he took her hand and put one on her waist guiding her
"Would now be a good time to mention she's only danced with Otter Penguins?" Korra said laughing as Katara glared at her
"Relax it's just me and you" Naruto said as he twirled her and made her dip
"How are you so good at this?" Katara said as he looked like he knew what he was doing
"I've read books." Naruto said simply as he pulled her up out of the dip
Katara felt like a princess as Naruto danced with her guiding her body so smoothly and blushed feeling his hands on her hips
"Sorry if I'm overstepping myself." Naruto said
"No it's OK" katara said as she placed her hands around Naruto's neck as they continued to dance
"Someone looks like they're having fun." Asami said
"Uh… d-do you w-want to…" Korra trailed off as she began stuttering
"Let's go" Asami said grabbing korra's hand and dragging her to the dance floor
"Do you-" Suki didn't get to finish her sentence
"No" Toph said
"Oh OK" Suki said sounding sad
"Oh fine let's go fangirl" Toph said as she stretched a little
Naruto smiled as he saw Toph dancing with Suki, the blind girl trying her hardest to try and not show she was enjoying it
"This is nice." Katara said as she hugged Naruto and rested her head on his shoulder
"Yeah taking a moment and just forgetting about the troubles of the world." Naruto said
Katara smiled at this
Naruto put a hand on her chin and made her look at him before he leaned down and kissed her
Katara moaned lightly into the kiss as she put her arms around his neck
Soon they separated and they both had blushes on there faces
"W-what does this mean for us?" Katara asked nervously
"I've noticed the way you look at the others when they show me affection, I just didn't want you to be left out." Naruto said
"So you do like me?" Katara asked
"I like all of you." Naruto said with pure honesty
Katara smiled at this as she knew Naruto didn't have it in him to pick just one of them
Naruto pulled her close hugging her as they continued to dance
(the next day)
The next day everyone was outside the mountain getting everything on Appa's saddle
"Now this is a saddle for everyone, we should get one for Pyra." Korra said as she sat on Appa's saddle
"I don't think they make saddles like this for dragons sis" Katara said
"Well they should." Korra said
"Maybe we could make one someday, I mean besides one for me and two people" Naruto said as he applied some seals to the saddle
"What are you up to?" Jinora asked
"I'm adding a seal so the saddle and everyone in it is weightless for Appa" Naruto said with a smile
"Aw you're so sweet" Ikki said as she quickly hugged Naruto and kissed him on the cheek
"I try." Naruto said as that was all anyone could do
"And I've watched how they make the saddles for the bison so I can help you with making a proper saddle for Pyra." Ikki said
"Is there anything you can't do?" Naruto asked her
"Sit still for a minute" Jinora said teasingly
Ikki looked at her sister pouting cutely "Why you." she said
"OK so where to next?" Jinora asked ignoring her sister
"No clue but eventually we will be going to the north pole" Naruto said as he got on pyra while the others were all on Appa
"North pole?! screw that!" toph yelled as she got up to get off appa before korra grabbed her by her shirt and pulled her back down
"I need a water bending teacher as I barely know any." Katara said as she sighed
"Yeah, me neither. Doesn't help having boosted bending if you can't do much" Korra said to her sister
"I don't care, I'll be blind at the north pole!" Toph yelled as her vibrations weren't exactly on point in less solid land
"Boosted bending?" Jinora asked looking at Naruto who was looking at a map before they left
"Hmm? Oh turns out chakra boosts one's bending skills if they're a bender." Naruto said to her simply
"Are you wearing shaded glasses?" Suki asked him as he was wearing black glasses
"My eyes were feeling weird when I woke up and I didn't want to take the chance of going blind. No offense lavender eyes" Naruto said as Toph waved him off
"Can the sweet talk whiskers I'm not going to the north pole!" Toph yelled as Korra finished tying her up so she couldn't run
"Well let's get going before toph gets loose" Suki said with a chuckle
Toph grumbled as she was tied up
"You look cute when you're all pouty." Ikki said to Toph as she sat with her
"What do you want?" Toph asked having nothing better to do
"Don't be such a grumpy puss I know I'll be your best friend!" Ikki said with a smile
"Ball of sunshine this one." Toph said rolling her eyes
"That her nickname?" Asami asked as they took off with Naruto leading the way
"Eh sure why not." Toph said with a shrug
"Sunshine? I like it!" Ikki said hugging Toph tightly
"What about Jinora?" Suki asked curiously wondering what toph would call her
"Ask her" Toph said with a smile
Jinora who was at Appa's reins sighed "Twinkle toes" she said
"Got some kind of foot fetish Toph?" Korra asked chuckling as the girl tried to give her a dirty glare but was looking at someone else
"Hell no I just like feeling freedom plus if I wear shoes I can't see as well" Toph said as it'd be like making her 'vision' more obscure
"Not exactly what I meant but okay." Korra said shrugging a little
"She meant the whole twinkle toes thing." Naruto said chiming in
"Oh, eh, seemed appropriate for her." Toph said shrugging
(some days later)
"Are we there yet?" Ikki asked… for the upteenth time
"Do you see any ice?" Naruto asked pointing down
"No." Ikki said simply
"Then no we are not." Naruto said as he was really at his limit and was mentally apologizing to Iruka for his own childish behavior
"Is she always like this when you guys have to travel?" Korra asked Jinora
"We have never traveled" Jinora said not having a definitive answer
"I'm sorry, I never saw anything from the outside that wasn't in a book, I wanna see everything there is to see." Ikki said as she loved the freedom
"God it's like dealing with a girl version of me from my younger years." Naruto said before he glanced up as Kurama laughed inside his head
"Guys?" Ikki said
"What, something else you wanna add?" Toph asked
"I have to go to the bathroom." Ikki said
"There's a lake nearby and a village we should land and set up camp" suki said
Jinora nodded as she led Appa downwards to land near a town
"I think Naga liked riding on Appa more than being carried by Pyra." Korra said as Naga jumped off of Appa's back
"Well it is more comfortable" Asami said as she patted Naga
Ikki ran off into the forest to relieve herself
"Is that a ship that's also a shop?" Suki asked seeing ship with a makeshift sign in the distance
"I don't trust shit like that, they're always filled with junk that makes you waste your money." Naruto said speaking from experience
"Ah my my what a group of lovely lady's" a man in front of the ship said as he approached
"Hi." Ikki said spooking the group as she appeared out of nowhere
"Put a bell on this chick." Toph said being completely serious
"What do you sell?" Korra asked the man
"All kinds of things my dear, what are you looking for?" the man said wondering what they wanted
"Got any waterbending scrolls?" Katara asked
"Hmm maybe, how much you-" Naruto grabbed the man's hand
"Buddy, try anything and it won't go well for you." He said as he knew this guy was fishy
"Is this enough gold" Ikki asked holding out a handful of gold coins
Jinora took the gold from Ikki "Where did you get that gold?" she asked
"Found it" Ikki said innocently tilting her head
"Tha- ahem that should cover it." The man said taking the gold
"Make sure it's an actual scroll, I heard people like tricking people by making phony bending scrolls to scam people of their money." Naruto said to Katara
The man ran into the ship and soon returned with the scroll and handed it to katara
"Come back soon sweet cheeks" the man said
"Ugh, pig." Suki said as she wished she
"Yea I could come up with a better line than that" Naruto said as they left
"Now little Missy, where did you get that money?" Korra asked Ikki
"That guy had a bad aura so I took his wallet" Ikki said with a smile
"So you used his own money to pay for that scroll? Nice" Toph said having major respect for her
"My sister is a delinquent jinora said with a sigh
"Just like how I was when I was a kid." Naruto said as he remembered how he was fondly
'You still are a delinquent.' Kurama said simply
"Hey you! get back here!" the man yelled as he ran out of the ship
Toph stomped the ground making a wall of Earth pop up making the man run right into it
Jinora took out what looked like a bison whistle and blew it and soon Appa flew above them
"Toph send us up!" Naruto said to her quickly
Toph stomped her foot and sond earth sent them all up into the air
Pyra jumped out of Asami's bag and grew
Naruto landed on her as the others and Naga landed on Appa
"No offense to the polar bear dog, but does she actually know how to fight?" Jinora asked
"Naga's just a big loveable fluff ball, but she can be fierce when needed." Korra said as she patted the dog as she knew when and where to bare her fangs at people
"Then why hasn't she?" Naruto asked as all this time Naga hasn't really done much
"Eh she's lazy." Katara said before Naga whined
"Oh you hurt her feelings." Ikki said as she hugged Naga
"Anyways is that scroll legit?" Naruto asked not wanting that to be a waste of time
"Yup very well made too" Katara said as she looked at it
"Well at least you two got your start on learning waterbending." Naruto said looking at Katara and Korra
"We should get far away from here otherwise they may track us down" Jinora said as hunters and pirates of the like could pick up a decent trail and follow it depending on how fresh it was
"Yea let's get away from the lake they will definitely use that to follow us" Naruto said
The two animals began flying away from the lake
(few days later)
"We should rest here, I don't think Appa can go any further without a nap." Ikki said as Appa looked exhausted
"Yea pyra needs food don't you girl?" Naruto said as he sat next to Jinora as he decided to fly with his friends
Pyra who was resting on Toph's head perked up at the mention of food
"I am not a resting perch for you." Toph said to the dragon
Pyra looked down at Toph and cooed at her and licked her face
"Ok ok you can stay" Toph said laughing as she lost the fight as she had to admit even to her blind eyes the animal was to cute to ignore
Appa soon landed in a clear area with the forest surrounding them
Naruto grabbed his sealed stuff and began unsealing them to set up camp
"You finished that project yet?" Katara asked
"Oh yeah" Naruto said with a smile as he put up a tent with what looked like seals on it
Toph then looked at the tent and jumped a bit after the seals on the tent glowed
"What is it?" Korra asked
"Well it's a tent but there's a whole lot more on the inside." Naruto said as he used some storage and space seals
"So it's a mansion inside a tent? Asami asked finding that amazing
"Essentially areas have sound proofing as some occasionally snore and we can still hear the outside but they can't hear us." Naruto said glancing at Toph when he said snore
"I do not snore." Toph said denying the claim
"Please you could wake spirits with that noise you make" Katara said as she looked at Toph non jokingly
"Says you miss drooly." Toph said with a challenging smirk
"I don't drool!" Katara said in denial
"Yeah right." Korra said snickering
Before Katara could react Naruto grabbed her shoulder
"No fighting ok? Naruto asked kindly
"OK sweetie" Katara said as she smiled
Toph glared at Katara lightly as she hugged Naruto
Pyra perked up on Toph's head and began growling
Appa snorted as he looked around
"We're not alone." Naruto said sensing movement around them
Toph perked up hearing a twig snap "They're in the trees." she said
Soon some figures dropped down from the trees showing it was a bunch of teens and a few kids
One that had Bushy brown hair attacked Jinora and Ikki with a club
"Hey back off!" Ikki said as she blasted the attacker with some air sending the attacker towards Jinora who swung her closed glider and sent the attacker into some of the other attackers
"Airbenders?" The male that had a twig in his mouth said surprised
"Yea and I'm not afraid to use it you jerk!" Ikki yelled
"So back off or we let loose the dragon." Toph said holding Pyra
"That tiny gecko?" one that had two red marks on each of his cheeks
Pyra jumped out of Toph's arms and grew pinning the one that called her a tiny gecko beneath her paw
"Nevermind." The person said in fear as the dragon growled at her
"Easy Pyra, don't crush her." Naruto said to her
"I'm a… finally someone gets it right on the first try!" the person said sounding happy
"That's a girl?" Korra asked in surprise
"Be nice" Katara said as her sister could be pretty manly as well
"Okay who are you people?" The leader asked
"I am the new Sage of six paths, this is the new avatar so please back off." Naruto said simply as he gestured to Katara
"I'm Jet, these are my freedom fighters, your dragon's already met Smellerbee." Jet said pointing to the girl underneath Pyra's foot
"Let her go Pyra" Naruto said simply
Pyra let out one huff at Smellerbee before shrinking and walking back to Naruto
"We're the freedom fighters, that's Longshot, the Duke, Pipsqueak and Sneers." Jet said introducing his men
"Why did you attack us?" Korra asked with a glare
"Sorry we thought you may be reinforcements for the fire nation" Smellerbee said in total honesty
"The fire nation is here?" Katara asked surprised they were this far out
"Yea they are in charge of a village near here and we could use the avatars help making them leave" Jet asked them really pushing on the need for help
"I'll help anyway I can." Katara said happily
"Beautiful and a kind avatar I'm glad your so willing to help" Jet said
"Hey back off stick chewer she's my girl." Naruto said to him
"Now now I'm sure he meant no offense Naruto" Katara said calming him down
Jet looked at Naruto "Yes yes forgive me I had no idea I just want your help making the fire nation leave " he said
Toph scowled lightly at this and grabbed Korra's arm "He's lying" she whispered
"Let's talk amongst each other." Naruto said to them
"Of course." Jet said giving them their privacy
"I don't like him." Naruto whispered immediately to the girls
"Good instincts Toph said he's lying" Korra said to him
"We should wait to see what they do" Suki said as she thought waiting it out was the best way to do this
"Yea give them enough rope and they may hang themselves" Asami said as the others had to admit she had a point
"What about the village?" Katara asked looking at it in the distance
"We will deal with that but first we need information from both sides if we make any rash moves people will get hurt" Naruto said as they needed to know everything before they made a move
"Please don't turn into that old guy to sneak in again." Suki said
"Old guy?" Ikki asked
"Later." Naruto said as they approached some tall trees
"There's a village up in the trees" Toph said as she looked upwards
"Village hidden in the trees, huh, sounds like a place back home." Naruto said chuckling slightly
(later that night)
Naruto and the others were up in the village which everyone was eating and talking with some of the freedom fighters
"So have we found anything out?" Jinora asked the others curiously
"Their food tastes funny." Ikki said as she thought there was a weird taste to it
"Not what I meant." Jinora said with a deadpan look on her face
"I have heard them whispering about some big plan but before I could hear any specifics they noticed me" Toph said as it was a little hard to pick up on things as she was on wooden planks it limited her vision
"Looks like Jet warned them to be aware of you" Suki said as she did have to give him he was right to be cautious
"Guess they trust us just as much as we trust them." Korra said flatly
"Looks like Jet has a thing for sugar queen too" Toph said pointing at Katara who was talking to Jet nearby
"He made that pretty clear." Asami said blandly
"Yea to bad katara has no clue" Korra said sighing at her sister being so clueless
"Hmm" Naruto began to thought
"What is it?" Suki asked wondering what was on his mind
"Well maybe we can use Jet's puppy crush against him." Naruto said to her as it was basic seduction
"You want Katara to try and get close so she can learn his plan?" Korra asked as she thought it was an ok plan
"Sugar queen doesn't know how to flirt" Toph said with a laugh
"Or lie." Korra said as she realized her sister had no basic manipulative skills at all
"So we just let her talk to him eventually that guy will tell her" Naruto said
"She won't like that" Korra said stating the obvious
"We need to figure out the whole story otherwise we could end up helping the wrong person who needs it." Naruto said
"hey korra I need you to help me with something tomorrow" Katara said as she ran over
"What do you need sis?" korra asked
"Jet asked me to help fill a reservoir with water in case the fire nation tries to burn down the forest" Katara said
"Fill.. a reservoir, sure that doesn't sound ominous." Naruto said sarcastically
"Sure I'll help ya sis" Korra said to her
Katara smiled and went back to Jet who smiled when she told him Korra was in
"Don't worry I'll keep a eyes out" Korra said to Naruto
Naruto nodded as he looked at Jet and Korra
"Sure there's no green monster at work here?" Asami asked him
"What?" Naruto asked her wondering what she meant
"You have been glaring at him this entire time." Ikki said plainly
"No I haven't" Naruto said lying through his teeth
"Relax whiskers sugar queen can't be near you without her heartbeat going nuts she doesn't feel anything for that guy" Toph said
"I know that." Naruto said to her as he knew that already
Toph and the others patted him smiling
"What, I do!" Naruto said
"You're cute when you're embarrassed" Ikki said as she giggled
Naruto pouted lightly as he looked away
(the next day)
Naruto was in a tree overlooking the village nearby and saw that there was a dam nearby
He went over and looked at it and saw what looked like Pipsqueak and the Duke setting barrels near the dam
"Are you sure this is ok?" the Duke asked unsurely
"Jet said the is the only way to get rid of the fire nation is to blow up the dam" Pipsqueak said to him despite the sureness in his voice he wasn't
"But won't it kill all the villagers too?" the Duke asked with a frown
"Jet said we will get a message to the villagers" Pipsqueak said to him
Naruto jumped down to them making them jump in surprise
"How do you think he can get a message to just the villagers?" Naruto asked with a scowl at them
"He heard everything." Pipsqueak said as he took a giant club off his back
"Don't embarrass yourself I would prefer not having to hurt you, especially a kid" Naruto said looking at the Duke "Now what the hell do you think you're doing?" he asked
"You can't stop this it's the only way to make the fire nation pay" Pipsqueak said in anger
"the regular people of the fire nation are just as innocent your problem is with the fire lord and his army" Naruto said as the true enemy was the fire lord and his soldiers
"Jet said everyone in the fire nation are just as guilty for doing nothing" the Duke said
"You can't punish an entire nation for the sins of a select group!" Naruto said to them as this was murder plain and simple
"Then what do we do?" Pipsqueak asked
"For starters how's about stopping?" Naruto said
"If we don't do this Jet will throw us out and we have nowhere else to go" the Duke said
"Then throw him out you all deserve a leader that cares about you" Naruto said
"He does care about us" The Duke said sounding completely sure
"Does he? a leader wouldn't threaten to throw you out with no home just for disobedience" Naruto said
Naruto looked as the Duke shed a few tears "I have nobody, and nowhere to go." he said
Pipsqueak frowned at this "You have me little bro he said as he patted the Duke on the head
The Duke hugged Pipsqueak and shed some more tears
"Where is Jet?" Naruto asked his tone telling he wasn't joking
"He's with the Avatar and her sister filling the reservoir so when the dam is blown up the village will be flooded" Pipsqueak said
Naruto growled lightly as he ran off
"Let's get this blasting jelly away from here" the Duke said to Pipsqueak who nodded as they got to work
(with Katara and Korra)
"You tricked me!" Katara yelled at Jet angrily as the ground began to crack and the wind picked up and the water became as restless as it was at the sea
"Oh calm down, this is the only way to really take a jab at the Fire Nation, show them we mean business." Jet said to her as this was war and he wanted the fire nation to know if they pushed them they pushed back harder
"Killing civilians who are innocent isn't the way to do it" Korra said as there was war and then murder
"Don't be so naive, nobody is ever really innocent." Jet said to her
"I won't let you do this" Katara said giving him a glare
"You can't stop me, just like you couldn't stop the fire nation taking your mother." Jet said to her not realizing what button he pushed
Katara froze for a moment at this but she then glared at Jet as her eyes glowed brightly
'Oh no' Korra thought as she remembered what katara did to Zuko's men and back then that was just defending herself and her friends
Katara yelled as she sent a blast of air at Jet and sent him slamming into a tree
Jet shook his head as he got up only to be tied in vines before splinters from the tree shot at him
The man closed his eyes only to feel nothing so he opened a eye to see Naruto
"As much as I would like seeing you get beaten to death by katara in the avatar state I can't let her kill you" Naruto said as he held out his hand and his as rinnegan glowed brightly
Katara dropped down in front of him
"Katara calm down." Naruto said yelling through the violent elements raging around her
"Get out of my way." Katara said her voice sounding like others were speaking with her
"Trust me, this dick ain't worth it." Naruto said trying to reason with her
"He's gonna kill everyone in the village" Korra said
"No he's not I already convinced his men do not do it" Naruto said
"He should pay for what he said about my mother!" Katara said
Naruto scowled at this as that was a low blow but he shook his head "Killing him won't bring her back" he said
"Yea mom wouldn't want you to kill just because of her" Korra said as her mother was someone that non violent and didn't like to fight or put others in danger
Naruto and Korra looked as the elements around Katara began to dwindle and saw as tears ran down her face as her eyes were seen again
Naruto approached her and hugged her
Katara silently sobbed into his shoulder before Korra walked over and joined in embracing her sister as well
"This isn't over. I won't stop until the Fire nation suffers for every family they have destroyed!" Jet yelled as he tried to get loose
Naruto scowled at this and pulled out of the hug and approached Jet and slugged him hard in the gut
Jet slumped and coughed as he tried to catch his breath from the attack "I can see it in your eyes. The world took your family too." he said with a smirk
"Yeah it did but there's a difference between us. When we looked into that abyss… you blinked." Naruto said as he then grabbed Jet by the hair "If I hear about you or your group hurting civilians again I will do worse then kill you" he said as he made his killer intent leak
Jet glared at him before spitting out some blood from his mouth before passing out
"Come on, let's go." Naruto said not wanting to be in Jet's presence any longer
They then saw Appa flying towards them and had everyone else on him
"What the hell happened?" Asami asked seeing Jet restrained in vines
"He pissed her off." Naruto said as that was enough said
"I would say so damn sugar queen" Toph said sounding impressed as she felt the damage done to the area
"Let's just go." Katara said no emotion in her voice
Pyra got off Appa and grew letting Naruto on as Korra and Katara got on Appa
Naga put her head on Katara's lap giving her some comfort
Naruto looked down to see the other Freedom Fighters standing on tree branches "What about you all?" he asked
"We are done following Jet he swore he would not kill civilians" Smellerbee said
"Good maybe you should lead them instead" Naruto said as Pyra and Appa took off
Smellerbee's eyes widened at this "Me? leader?" she asked
"Well we can't do worse" the Duke said with a smile as he liked the idea
the rest of the freedom fighters all nodded to themselves as they all looked at Smellerbee who after a moment nodded

a man in a commander's uniform was going over plans before soldiers brought four people behind him each having bags over their heads
