Angelic Icy-Water Goo Race Battle
Gray, Lyon, Juvia, and Nanael are chasing after Sugarboy as he is riding his Hound Dog for some fun as he looks behind seeing the four.
"Oh, so you all think you keep up with my groove?" Sugarboy asked sarcastically.
"Shut it! You won't be grooving for long!" Nanael commanded her sword to attack Sugarboy who managed to dodge it.
"Hey now, don't be all hasty when the show has only begun!" Sugarboy snapped his finger in a pose and unleash his green slime at them.
"I don't think so. Ice-Make: Dragonfly!" Lyon unleashed a swarm of ice dragonflies at the slime.
But the moment they made contact to the green slime, they get sucked right into it and dissolves into nothing.
"What?!" Lyon shocked that his attack spell didn't work.
"Guess this is a good time to warn you two: His slime can absorb magic that gets caught by the green slime and if the person were to get caught, then his magic and physical strength are absorbed by it as well." Gray explained.
"Then it's a good thing we didn't get caught in it, but that is still going to be a problem if he keeps sending his slime to us." Juvia stated.
"Yeah, and the weirdest thing is that he called his magic Hound Dog." Nanael informed.
"Wait, hound dog? Are you serious?" Juvia shocked confuse.
"Don't look at me, he's the one who named his magic." Nanael shrugged.
"Look out!" Gray alerted.
Nanael quickly saw a green slightly thin tentacle coming at her fast and her sword quickly protected her from the incoming attack, then she saw a few more attacking as she slashes them away as the three mages defended themselves from green slime tentacles.
"Okay, this is new." Nanael said.
"Ha! How do you all like the trick I've been tricking my doggies, I like to call it the Wigging Tail. I say this makes my Hound Dog extra spicy!" Sugarboy bragged.
"More like annoying!" Gray tricked off.
"See if you can still chase me now?" Sugarboy commanded the slime tails to attack again as he runs on ahead.
"(Damn it, this guy is going to take the clock piece before us.)" Nanael thought grunted, but then she started to notice something.
Nanael flew a bit higher looking around now she starts to understand what this place is and got a genius idea, she went back to the others and sliced away a couple of the slime tentacles.
"Gray, go run the other way." Nanael ordered.
"What? Are you crazy or something?" Gray confused.
"Don't we need to catch up to Sugarboy?" Juvia asked.
"Don't worry, we'll get that guy. After all, everything comes in full circle." Nanael winked and spinning her sword in circle.
Gray was confused of what she meant and thought she was trying to be a showoff like how Leina told him before the journey, but it was then Gray started to notice something too about the blocks coming together and how they are forming, and it looks like Lyon is getting it too with a smirk on his face.
"I'll accompany you; someone has to make sure you don't get lost." Lyon joked.
"I'm pretty sure we both know it's hard to get lose in a place like this." Gray smirked back at his rival.
"Wait, what's going on here?" Juvia asked, still confuse of the plan here.
"I'll fill you in later, just keep the disco idiot's attention on us." Nanael said.
Sugarboy kept on going forward while forming a path with the arrow rocks, he turns around seeing the two girls attacking his slime magic.
"Those pretty little girls just don't know when to quit. They are determined, I'll give them that much." Sugarboy commented.
But then looking at the girls again got the disco-loving man to think that something is weird about this picture, like when writing a music piece for a concert but notice the rhythm is missing something, and that's when he finally figured it out.
"Hey now, there did those two icy boys go?" Sugarboy asked.
"About time you notice." Gray said as he and Lyon jumped in front of him.
"Hot dog! I didn't even see them coming, man!" Sugarboy gasped.
"Did you like the little surprise we set up for you?" Juvia asked sarcastically as Nanael grin.
"It wasn't easy, but we caught up to you." Gray said.
"Uh-huh, so you noticed these gates form one giant loop. Impressive, Icy boys." Sugarboy impressed that they managed to figure it out.
"It was pretty easy to understand when you have someone in the group that has the high view advantage." Gray pointed at Nanael.
"It was foolish of you to underestimate your opponent." Lyon stated.
"Well, if I want you all to get off my hide, I'll just have to settle things once and for all!" Sugarboy declared as he threw one floating rock at Gray.
"I'm about to beat the crap outta you. Just like in Edolas, you'll regret messing with Fairy Tail!" Gray used his magic to throw another floating rock at Sugarboy.
When the two blocks collided into each other, they form as the last piece of the path and they glow of a golden light which the rest of the path glows. Zooming out, the entire loop is in the shape of the Zentopia crest lighting up and then something in the middle started to appear from the golden light and reveals itself to be one the clock pieces, the clock engine.
"Is that it?" Gray asked.
"Must be consider the ones who created this ruin went through a lot of trouble to hide it here." Lyon believed.
"Sweet Lelani." Sugarboy surprised.
"Oh my, this is unexpected." Juvia commented.
"Still don't see what the big deal is about a clock." Nanael said.
"Whether you think it's impressive or not, we can't let him get his hands on it." Gray determined and striped his jacket off exposing his toned body.
"Ew, he's stripping again!" Nanael looked away and Juvia quickly cover her eyes.
"It looks like you haven't grown out of that old habit even after seven years of sleeping." Lyon exclaimed, blaming their dead master for giving Gray that habit a long time ago.
"Hey now, what you stripping for?!" Sugarboy asked shock.
"Isn't it obvious? Because I'm ready!" Gray said with a serious face.
However, to Sugarboy suddenly getting a weird fantasy on what Gray in a romantic shy version and the disco church man's eyes widen of shock.
"Whoa, jack, I don't know how to respond to that without things gettin' real weird!" Sugarboy gasped, confusing Gray.
"Hot dog, now I'm al shook up… What's… this feeling…?" Sugrboy asked himself.
"Oh dear, Juvia fears this may lead to some misunderstanding." Juvia worried.
"Is that so?" Nanael asked with a teasing smirk.
"My… My heart can't seem to stop… poundin'." Sugarboy said with little blushes appearing on his cheeks.
This made Gray very confuse of this guy's weird reaction to his declaration of war for the clock piece and getting a weird déjà vu feeling from this too, like this has happened before somewhere.
"Sheesh, I thought you were weird before but who would have thought you were gay too!" Nanael yelled.
"Wait, what?" Gray confused.
"Honestly, it's almost like you're trying to ask the guy out on the date and stripping in front of him just gave him the idea. How shameless can you be?" Nanael asked teasing.
"Shut up! It is nothing like that, you stupid angel!" Gray yelled.
"Oh man, I never thought in my whole that I would be approach by such affection. Whoa doggy, just thinking about it makes my leg all jelly!" Sugarboy said almost losing his balance on his legs.
"Stop! Whatever you're thinking about right now, you better stop!" Gray angered.
"I always knew your stripping habit would get you into trouble, but I never knew it could lead to something like this." Lyon exclaimed.
"Juvia once fell for that when her love was for Gray before moving on." Juvia mentioned.
"I'm telling you, it's not what it looks like!" Gray shouted again.
"Look, the clock is piece is right there! Can we just focus on that and beat each other up!" Gray reminded everyone of the glowing floating clock piece.
"Oh yeah, I remember my mission to Zentopia." Sugarboy realized and patted his cheeks, then start doing a little disco dance with a spin and pointed his wooden mic at the clock piece.
"The blue icy boy is right, that clock is piece is what I came here for and that's exactly what I'm gonna do!" Sugarboy determined to see his mission through to the end.
Sugarboy summon more of his Hound Dog slime lifting him up in the air and moving toward the clock piece.
"Go and fetch him, my doggies! It's over!" Sugarboy charged.
"As if I let you!" Nanael swinged her sword down at Sugarboy who blocks it with his wooden mic, surprisingly it's holding on well.
"The Hell?! I thought that thing is just wood?" Nanael surprised.
"My microphone is made from a very special tree; it can't be broken that easily." Sugarboy bragged before pushing Nanael away, then he spins his mic around to block the flying sword slashes.
"Then how about this!" Lyon slammed his hands onto the slime and freeze it entire including Sugarboy's feet.
"Whoa, now that's what I call spicy. Wait, I mean, chilly!" Sugarboy shocked.
"Ice-Make: Snake Bridge!" Lyon created a big ice snake extending all the way to the clock engine.
"Gray, go! We'll keep him busy!" Lyon said.
"Thanks, man!" Gray thanked before running on the icy snake path.
"Juvia is coming too!" Juvia said following Gray from behind.
Sugarboy had the look on his face that these fairy weeps with their friends have gotten him beaten, or so he wants them to think as he smacks away Nanael's sword and started shaking his hips rapidly.
"Huh, are you doing some kind of dance of defeat?" Nanael asked.
"You better watch carefully because I'm on fire, baby! I got a fever I can't control, ya can't stop this hunk'a burnin' love!" Sugarboy singed as his green slime starts glowing red and steaming forming from the ice.
"What in the world…?" Lyon gasped.
What's happening is the Sugarboy is commanding his slime to get on fire, meaning to create heat to free itself and the master from the ice as it started to break and soon, Sugarboy is back in the race.
"Well, they do say exercising is what keeps the body warm…" Nanael commented, still think it's weird the way Sugarboy did it.
"What the…?" Gray shocked to see Sugarboy right on their tail.
"That man doesn't know when to give up." Juvia commented.
"Gray, Juvia will give you a boost!" Juvia alerted him and holds out her hand toward his bare back.
"Water Nabula!" Juvia fired a powerful stream of water at Gray's back that pushes him toward the clock piece faster.
"Awesome, thanks!" Gray thanked as he is getting to the clock engine closer.
"Oh no, you don't! Doggies, give you papa a boost to the dancefloor!" Sugarboy commanded, the green slime forms a big spring under his feet and launched its master straight for the clock engine.
"That little cuckoo piece is mine!" Sugarboy proclaimed.
"In your dreams!" Gray refused to give up as he reaches out his hand as far as he can go.
Almost like everything has been set in slow motion as Gray and Sugarboy are flying toward the clock engine piece, trying to outstretch each other's hand to get it first, but in the end both have touch the clock piece at the same time and before anyone knew it, both men are engulfed by the gold light and vanish with only a tiny gold light dot.
"What happened?" Lyon asked.
"They just vanished into thin air." Juvia stated.
"Does that mean they're somewhere else in this odd ruin?" Nanael wondered.
"Doubtful. More like they went back to whoever we came from." Lyon believed.
"You mean back to that room or the outside of the entrance?" Nanael asked.
"Yes, which means…" Lyon nodded.
"We need to try and find a way to jump into that light, too!" Juvia finished Lyon's sentence.
"On the other hand, if we stay here, I get to spend the rest of my life with Miss Juvy. That doesn't sound so bad to me." Lyon said daydreaming about him and Juvia living together for all of eternity.
"Well, it does to me!" Juvia shouted.
"Calm down, I was just joking." Lyon revealed.
"Why am I feeling so exhausted?" Juvia asked as her body shakes a little.
"Probably when you launched Gray to the clock piece." Lyon said.
"No, I think it's you…" Juvia stated.
"Uh, are you two forgetting I'm here as well." Nanael deadpanned.
"Right, now let's go so we can backup Gray." Lyon said with a serious face.
"Then allow me to help." Nanael grabbed both Lyon and Juvia in her arms, then flew toward the gold light.
"Wow, you're amazing, Nanael! You are able to carry us while flying at such speed too!" Juvia amazed.
"Of course, as an Angel, we always do our very best." Nanael smirked.
"(But man, you two are heavy! When all of this is over, I am so getting some exercise!)" Nanael mentally promised herself as carrying two people at the same time is exhausting to her.
(Back in the Rocky Ancient Zentopia Ruin)
Gray and Sugarboy are seen teleported back in the ruin while doing a game of tug-a-war on trying to snatch the clock engine out from other's hands.
"Would you just give me the clock piece already?!" Gray demanded.
"You really think I'm gonna hand it over it you?! Please!" Sugarboy refused to give up on his mission, then he got the weird feeling from Gray again.
"You'd better let go of it right now, cuz if you don't I'm gonna…" Gray growled in rage.
"Fall head over heels… in love." Sugarboy's Fantasy Gray said. Which is the exact opposite of what the real Gray was saying.
"Oh! Yeah, baby! A brown eyes handsome man!" Sugarboy blushed of excitement.
"Oh shit, you're taking what the freaky angel said seriously?!" Gray gasped and blush of uncomfortable embarrassment.
"Looks, just so you know, I am NOT into guys! Never have!" Gray tried to explain things.
"Oh, apparently your heart is as frosty as your biceps are bulging. In that case, Ice Boy… I'll force my feelings on ya! Yeah, I'm just a hunk, a hunk… of burnin' love!" Sugarboy unleashed his Hound Dog right at Gray from point-blank range, and this time the green slime is now orange.
"Aw man, that's so hot!" Gray groaned, feeling the intense heat of this slime.
"Spicy, ain't it? A little idea I got from your pal, Natsu. I fed my Hound Dog with plenty of fire lacrima to give my doggy some burning love!" Sugarboy explained.
"You know, now that I think about it. Your friend is a man's man too." Sugarboy bragged.
"Oh yeah, I'll show you… This ain't nothing! I can burst outta here!" Gray prepared to unleash a powerful ice attack.
"Oh, that look. I like it!" Sugarboy smiled.
"Come on, Ice Boy, let's boogie!" Sugarboy taunted, then the orange slime got attacked by water and pale light-green ice, done by Juvia and Lyon with Nanael next to them.
"Gray! Haven't you had enough of this buffoon? How long are you going to let him have his way with you?! Get your act together! I won't have you bringing shame to Ur!" Lyon scolded his childhood friend/rival.
"No way that's gonna happen!" Gray shouted as he breaks free form Sugarboy's slime trap.
"It's got nothing to do with Ur! And I would never do anything to tarnish her reputation!" Gray promised as he makes an ice tower.
"Let's attack him now!" Juvia said charging up her water magic attack.
"He's wide open!" Lyon pointed out, charging up his ice magic attack.
"Time to end this song!" Nanael hold up her sword as it glows of Holy power.
"Game over! Like I said, when I'm done with you, you're regret messing with Fairy Tail!" Gray said as his attack is about to be unleash.
"Ice-Make: Super Freeze Arrow!" Gray fired a large ice arrow.
"Water Slicer!" Juvia unleashed a flying water slash attack.
"Ice-Make: Snow Dragon!" Lyon let loose a big dragon of ice.
"Heaven's Judgement Piercer!" Nanael thrusted her sword forward and fire a bright energy attack.
Meanwhile, Sugarboy just stood there feeling amaze of Gray showing off his ice power and then got hit by all four attacks knocking him down with one a few bruises and with a small smile on his face.
"I'll be taking this with me." Gray said holding the clock engine on his shoulder.
"Why…? Why…?! C'mon, don't be cruel! Why do you have to go on and check me into the Heartbreak Hotel?!" Sugarboy said before falling unconscious.
That last part creeped Gray, feeling shivers down his spine.
"Wow, even in taste, he still got the hots for ya." Nanael teased.
"Please, just shut up." Gray groaned.
"I wonder Natsu and the others are doing getting their clock piece?" Juvia asked as she looks up.

The first clock piece, the clock engine, has been obtained by Gray's group and they were able to beat Sugarboy at his own groovy game though it looks like he also has started to have a guy crush on the ice boy after a little misunderstanding and Nanael fanning the flame of teasing.
Next chapter will go back to Natsu' group to see how they are doing.
