In which Lloyd calls an old friend for help.
Episode 4, Season 16
Bringing Nya back is not easy, but he already had the whole plan laid out. To bring her back they must release Aspheera from Kryptarium Prison and retrieve her staff. Everything was easy, except asking. Plan A already failed because Mayor Trustable defiantly said no -- and I mean, he was right to do that -- but this is for the sake of Ninjago and their team, and Lloyd didn't care if it was Aspheera they were talking about. He just needed a bit of help with Plan B.
He picked up his phone and went through his contacts, stopping at a contact titled "Skylor Chen" and dialing the phone number under that name. It was not long before he heard a voice from the other side.
"Hey there, Lloyd!"
"Wassup, Skylor!" greeted Lloyd.
"I thought it was Kai who called, y'know, impatient for me to come," she said, with a slightly disappointed tone.
"I'm sorry to disappoint ya," Lloyd apologized. "Even if he were to call, though, he would be too shy to say anything. He's not himself when you're around."
They both laughed in agreement.
"So, what's wrong? The Vengestone thing?"
Lloyd sighed. "We were going to, but we found out we can bring back Nya, so that's what we're doing."
"Nya?!" she exclaimed, astonished. "From the water?"
"Yeah," said Lloyd sheepishly. "We need your help, so are you down?"
She needed no further explanation. Although ditching the whole Vengestone thing was crazy enough, she didn't care. She missed her friend as well, and she was willing to bring her back. "I know I was gonna come here next month to open my noodle shop, but we were going to come a bit early to scout out places to put up our vendor anyways, so I guess it doesn't hurt. Anything for a friend, Lloyd," she said eagerly. "Just don't tell Kai for me, please?"
"Of course, I will," Lloyd said with a chuckle. "He'll be so happy to see you again."
"Alright, see ya later!"
"See you when you get here. And as Kai would add, 'Be safe on the road!'"
"I will. G'bye!"
"Bye!" said Lloyd, hanging up.
Bringing back Nya is not easy, but at least he had assistance from a friend.
