I said on a poll I wanted to remaster NO PAYNE NO GAIN.. And considering I'm stuck in a rut in this story, I figured I'll do it in this one.. Max needs more character development anyway, he had nothing to do after killing Ivory, and even that ended up probably a little anti-climatically.

Being a Max Game thing, it's basically non-stop action with a few quite moments between, but still gives me a reason to continue this story..

Max continues to live in Floyd's and Debra's old apartment, flipping though the TV as he drinks some bourbon. Like Dash, Max is a serious alcoholic, but unlike her he eventually gets better. Suddenly he hears a knock on his door and opens it only to find a unfamiliar man, Raul Passos. He claims he went to the police academy with Max (later implied to be a lie to gain Max's trust, but hard to say, he 'is' a ex cop, that part is true), says he grew up in Brazil and eventually he was hired by the rich family the Branco's and became a bodyguard, saying he's there cause he heard Max was in LS and wanted to hire him. Max refuses only to later find out Michael, Seras and Carly took the job, and he ultimately goes after all. Claiming it's just to protect Michael's butt.

However Trevor Phillips overhears and also goes, much to the girl's distain.. But ends up being a good thing in the long run.

They go on several other jobs before meeting the Bronco's, one involves body-guarding wedding. Though Trevor, being Trevor almost ruins the wedding after getting drunk and has to sleep in the back.

The next one is where meet Marcelo Bronco. the younger brother of Rodrigo Branco and Victor Branco. Max, Passos, and the team are protecting Marcelo on a large yacht, which was containing a party. Max has a conversation with Passos about Marcelo and his lifetime partying ways, when Marcelo comes in.

"I hope you're not drinking on the job gentleman." Marcelo said sternly, only to laugh and say "I'm kidding I hope you are!"

"Oh Mikey, even though we just met I feel like you are I are best friends."

"Okay." Max said awkwardly.

After some more conversation between the two, Max ends up telling Marcelo that he was previously married and Marcelo tries to insist that least now Max can get laid, though Max is too cynical to agree. Carly meanwhile ended befriending Daphne Bernstein, another person they were hired to watch. Though Max believes Marcelo is trying to take advantage of the now divorced woman.

As Passos and Marcelo go elsewhere, a now hungover Max goes down to his bed and falls asleep, shortly followed by Trevor, who falls asleep in what was suppose to be Marcelo's room, but he never went down.

Max awakens only to hear distant gunshots, and people speaking in the native language.. And not voices he reconsized, it was pirates. Modern Pirates had sneak aboard while Max slept. Hearing this he grabs his nearby M1911 pistol and hide at the doorway. And he saw them, they were checking every room, but upon kicking open the door to Marcelo's room Trevor literary leaps out, repeatedly stabbing the pirate he landed on with pen he found.. He had to improvise.. Max uses the other pirates being caught off guard to open fire, killing at least 2 as the others ran into the now open rooms for cover. Though one of them Carly and Seras was in, and one of the girls slits his throat with Carly's swiss blade.

Michael runs out from the bathroom he was showering in after Max fires more bullets, wearing a tower and sees the body. "Well shit.'' Michael groaned.

"Better get dressed big boy, I don't want any more unpleasantries right now." Seras teased, her British accent showing. This actually embarrasses him into silently reclosing the bathroom door. The moment even hints at a possible romantic tension between them.

"There's more!" Trevor cried, grabbing an Uzi off the pirate he killed and opens fire further down the ship, though the target ducks behind balcony wall, returning fire but missing. The two go back and forth before Trevor finally got him, just before reloading. "Don't let up!" Max cried, shooting at the same area.

Michael and the girls run out and fight the remaining men, at least 2 waves came before the area was cleared. Carly bodyslams on into a nearby wall and shoots him in the head while he tried getting up. Michael grabbed the nearest clothes he could. Which ended up being a yellow polo shirt and the blue shorts with flip-flops

''Trevor, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad you're here." Carly admitted, while picking up a combat shotgun from one of the bodies, holstering her AP Pistol, she's actually the only one not using a M1911. Well Trevor has a Uzi/MicroSMG, while Seras uses a 44 Magnum.. Only other ones to use revolvers are Katie and Pinkie, who have 38's.

Anyway, slowly and carefully the group all the way though the now quite ship, seeing the pirates killing other passengers and breaking down walls while searching for.. Something.

Eventually Max gets off the ship while the others continued fighting on it and he discovers Passos and Marcelo attempting to leave and let Max handle the paramilitaries. After Max convinces Passos to help him save Daphne Bernstein.

At one point they see the pirates using zipline and Max jumps onto him using him as a meat-shield as zip-lines down reaches to old museum. Max single handedly clears the area of all the pirates, but once reaching the top he sees a mountain of dead passengers, including Daphne. This horrifies Max into being left speechless as he examines the pile, Passos finally catches up while Max does so.

"Fuck man. This is brutal.. I didn't think things would be like this" Passos said nervously. Max is silent once more and walks over to the balcony, looking at the scenery.

MAX (narrating): Thinking back, I should of gotten back on that boat and drove my way back to San Andreas..
