Kvatch was quiet. Steve looked around, Alex was missing. Meat was still beside Steve wagging his tail. Steve petted Meat on the head and got up. He opened the door and went outside. Kvatch was in ruins. Most houses were blown up due to creepers. Steve looked around in awe. People were walking aimlessly not knowing what to do. I wonder if Javier and Alex are okay, Steve wondered. He walked to where Javier was heading last night. Steve walked over puddles of blood and dead bodies of citizens and mobs. He saw Alex at some type of blacksmith building. "Hey!" Steve shouted and waved at Alex. Alex turned around and saw Steve she didn't say anything. She was gearing up with multiple bows and a dagger. "Where are you heading to?" Steve asked. "I have to go back to my village." Alex said seriously. 'Oh, so you're not from Kvatch?" Steve asked. "No, I'm from a village a little way from here. I only came to Kvatch to try to get some help, you see my village was under attack by bandits and I was able to escape. My village is very weak so we didn't have enough forces to take care of the bandits." Alex said as she gathered more gear. "'So did you get any help?" Steve asked. "No, apparently the leader of the guards doesn't want to waste any of his precious men on some lowly village." Alex angrily stated. Steve knew how terrible the Kvatch guardsmen were due to his past, he also didn't want Alex to die. "Look, I'll talk to the guardsmen and try to get them to help us." Steve said as he blocked Alex's path. "Oh yeah? How will you do that the guardsmen are a bunch of cowards, especially their leader." " One of the guardsmen saved me during the blood moon. I will try to talk to him, please wait here." Steve said. "Alright fine I'll wait here for an hour but then I'm leaving." Alex stated as she put her bow away."Ok I'll be back, wait for me!." Steve yelled as he ran towards the inner city. Steve looked at all of the destruction around him, the strange thing was that he experienced what very few people in minecraft history experienced but his mind was focused on finding Javier and helping Alex. Why did he want to help Alex so bad? Maybe it was because he finally made a friend or because it was the right thing to do.
