Steve and Meat were standing right outside the Guardsmen building. "Wait right here, Meat, I'll be out in a second." Steve ordered. Meat sat moved forward and opened the doors. The inside of the guardsmen Building was almost empty. There were only around 30 guardsmen, not good for one of the capital cities in MInecraft. At the end of the long giant hallway that was the building stood the leader. It seemed he was busy talking with someone. Steve scanned the room for Javier. He saw Javier standing next to four other people. Steve walked over to them." Hello Javier I-'' before Steve could get his question out he saw the look of despair on Javier's face." He doesn't want to talk right now so leave!" One of the guards next to Javier said to Steve. Steve was about to get offensive when Javier spoke. "Sorry Steve, please excuse my friend, Jesse, he is very protective of me." Javier said. "Of course you are the leader of this squad." Jesse said. " Yeah anyways can you help me take back a village from bandits?" Steve asked Javier. Something in Javier's eyes changed. "Bandits you say? I would like to help but I would need permission from Balgruff. Steve assumed that was the leader."Steve come with me, everyone else stays right there." Jaiver said as he and Steve went towards Balgruff. "Balgruff, can I take my squad and take back a village from some bandits? I'm sure they would appreciate it." Javier said. Balgruff turned away from the person he was talking to and stared at Steve. "Who is this?" Balgruff demanded. "His name is Steve. I found him while investigating the King's disappearance, he will assist me to take back the village." Javier said. "I can't spare any reinforcements for some dirt village, you know it's funny some girl asked me the same question a couple hours ago." Balgruff said amused. "How are you the leader of the guardsmen!?" Steve shouted at Balgruff. The whole room went silent. "Kid has guts," Jesse stated. "You dare disrespect me!?" Balgruff shouted. "Javier you talked about doing the right thing and I think the right thing to do right now is derank Balgruff from leading the guardsmen, I mean the King isn't even here, he might even be dead, do you all want this man to lead you!?" Steve yelled at everyone. The room was silent. Steve thought if Balgruff was in the lead of the guardsmen 7 years ago he must've been the reason his parents' disappearance was investigated. Steve got angrier, Before Steve could do anything risky Javier put his hand out in front of Steve. "Let's calm down now, Steve has some great points. Balgruff has grown old and cowardly; he is afraid of losing soldiers and making mistakes." Javier said. Balgruff grew angrier he took out his sword and was about to slice Javier when Jesse came up from behind and poke Balgruff in his back with his iron sword. Balgruff started to bleed a little from his back. "Do you really want to do that?" Jesse asked. Balgruff drops his sword. "Fine! Go ahead and go save that dinky village just know our King is still missing and Kvatch is in ruins, are all of you going to leave this city!?" Balgruff cried out.``Jesse tie up Balgruff, I'll take my squad and some guards to take back the village everyone else stay here." Javier said. After Balgruff was tied up Javier, his squad, Steve, and about fifteen guards were taken to where Alex was.
