There's so much that happens, I'll do a quicker verison for most of it.
Max, Michael and the others are hired to bodyguard rich family Branco's, but Fabiana the wife is captured, Max and the guys go to soccer stadium to pay the CS gang $3 million for her release. However, the meeting between them and the Comando Sombra is ambushed by the Crachá Preto, an outlaw paramilitary unit, who steal the money and nearly kill Max. They fight there way though them, but lose the money but do learn where Fabiana is.
Max takes Michael, who's his closest friend in the crew with him, but once again Trevor sneaks with them. But this does prove helpful as the three fight though a swamp like area the CS control.
Despite their greatest efforts, Trevor especially, who seems to have a "pet the dog" moment by actually hoping to save her. Their attempt to rescue her is thwarted by the gang's leader Serrano.
Meanwhile Carly and Seras are able to take it easy though all this. But proving South Palo to be worse than Liberty City and Los Santos, they are still attacked by the CS regardless, Seras killing them.
Max returns to Robrico, Fabiana's husband to express the bad news, however the Crachá Preto attack the office to kill Max. Max one man army's his way though all this, but Rodrigo is assassinated during the chaos. Blaming himself for the situation, Max swears off his alcoholism. Something Carly expresses her encouragement of, saying if only he can get Dash to do that.
