The guardsman grouped back on the main road and made it back to Kvatch. As they entered Jesse took Javier to the doctor of the city. Alex was walking when she saw meat come up to her. He looked worried that Steve was not with them. She kneeled down and put her hand on Meat's head. She wondered if Steve must've gotten lost when they splitted up. She wanted to look for Steve since he did save her life and got the guardsmen to help her, but she also wanted to go back and find her parents. All in all this mission was a failure; the guardsmen didn't learn anything and they lost half of their troops. Alex decided to look for Steve, she got back on her horse and left, leaving meat by himself again. Jesse and Varyana rushed Javier into the doc's house. "Damn, what happened, put him on the table." the doctor said. Jesse put Javier on the table. Javier was barely conscious. "I'm going to stop the bleeding okay? We'll need to cover the stub, here drink this." The doctor gave Javier a potion of healing. "That kid Steve didn't do anything the whole battle." Jesse said he sat down on a chair. "To be fair he was just a civilian, he probably never killed anyone before." Varyana said. "Yeah, well Alex was just a civilian as well, but she helped during the battle." Jesse said. 'Well, Alex has a reason for being the way she is, I bet."
