A.N. Hey guys, Blue Tagg here with the tenth chapter. We're on the home stretch now. Here the ladies will take care of Gladys once and for all.
Down at the Precinct, Jemma was typing on a keyboard connecting to four monitors.
"Mic's on, everyone read me? Do you copy?" Jemma asked into a microphone.
"Copy," Judy's, Francine's and Theresa's voices were heard through the speaker.
"Okay, your mission, is to get Gladys Sheer alone with you guys in a room and get close enough to Gladys to inject her with the general aesthetic, if Tina's calculations are correct when the drug kicks in it'll neutralise her hold on the men, then the extraction unit will take her away," Jemma reminded the three officers.
Down at the stadium, Judy, Francine and Theresa were wearing janitor outfits, pretending to be working.
"Copy that," Judy answered.
"I hope this works," Francine said in worry.
"It's our best and only plan so far," Theresa reminded the elephant. "We cannot let Gladys continue doing this much longer. She could go on to control politicians, governments, you name it."
"She's right, we have to stop her," Judy pointed out.
"Okay, but why are we wearing these suits underneath the uniforms," Theresa asked.
"Because they're more flexible and comfier," Francine answered.
"Whatever, now let's focus on our mission," Theresa said.
"Girls, Gladys is just up ahead in her 'throne room,' just lure her away from her thralls and get her into a secure room," Jemma's voice spoke through their earpieces.
"Can't we just get close enough and jab her there?" Theresa asked.
"In front of her thralls, too risky," Tina Sheer explained through the comm. "We don't know how long it would take for her hold on them to sever once she's sedated. So, it's best that you do it while alone with her in a room."
"Understood," Theresa replied.
"While you guys are doing that, I'll lock down the other men in the stadium to buy you girls some time to sedate her. I've got eyes inside the rest of the stadium, you best lead her to the northside area of the arena, no thralls in that part of the building. And if the crowd get restless, I got something that will distract them," Jemma said as she typed away.
Sitting at a table behind her were Nick, Bogo and Clawhauser, who stayed behind as to not risk getting enthralled again.
"This is ridiculous, we should be out there helping take her in, not in here," Bogo said in anger.
"We can't risk you three getting enthralled, remember," Jemma pointed out, not taking her eyes off the screens.
The three girls walked into the stadium, where hundreds of men were doing their own thing, and some were doing things for Gladys. They then saw the lioness in question on her thrown, looking annoyed. She also had a sling on her arm, probably from the injury from earlier. The three disguised girls then approached her and bowed to her.
"What do you three want?" Gladys asked in annoyance.
"We've come to ask if everything is all right, my queen," Theresa said, making her voice sound like a male voice.
"Not really, I've lost four of my admirers to those meddlesome officers and my good-for-nothing sister," Gladys said in anger.
On Tina's end, she heard what her sister said through the wire, and was annoyed by that state.
"Well, it's better than being an obsessive psycho," Tina mumbled.
"Your greatness," Theresa continued. "Those four have returned and they have the jewellery that was confiscated by the ZPD."
"Oh, how wonderful," Gladys said, sounding pleased.
"They also wish to discuss with you in private," Judy told her. "They're waiting for you in the Northern part of the arena."
"We're here to escort you," Francine said to her.
"I don't know," Gladys said sounding suspicious. "They would've come directly to me…"
"Did I also mention they managed to steal that blue designer dress you've been eyeing for a while," Judy told her, hoping she'd take the bait.
"Well then, let's meet them," Gladys excitingly declared. She then turned to her army. "I need to handle some personal business right now, so stay in this area until I return."
"Yes mistress," the men said together as they bowed.
The three undercover officers led Gladys through the halls, to an empty room. Once they were inside, Jemma remotely locked the doors, leaving all the doors to the arena locked.
"So, where is it… officers," Gladys said, revealing that she knew.
The officers knew the jig was up, so they ripped off their janitor suits, revealing black leather jumpsuits underneath, then whipped out their tranquiliser guns and aimed them at her.
"It's over Gladys, we're here to take you in," Judy declared.
"It's just us here," Francine declared. "You're all alone."
"Did you think I was alone?" Gladys asked. "I've got men everywhere, NOW!"
Gladys waited for her men… but no one came.
"Uh, come on, attack those officers," Gladys said, feeling anxious.
"Oh, we already took care of the men in here before we came to you," Judy declared. "And we've cut off access to the stadium. Now it's just you, and us."
"No, this cannot be!" Gladys said in anger. "This is supposed to be my perfect life! All those lovely boys grovelling at my feet. Doing anything I ask of them."
"Last chance, surrender!" Theresa demanded.
"Never!" Gladys exclaimed as she did a runner. The ladies fired their tranqs, but they missed the lioness.
"Get her!" Judy exclaimed as the officers gave chase.
They chased her through the hallways of the stadium. Gladys tried to open a door, but it was locked, courtesy of Jemma.
"Give it up, Sheer!" Judy exclaimed. "We have you trapped!"
"No, I'm not gonna let you take everything from me!" Gladys said.
"Like how you took those men from their wives and families?" Theresa pointed out.
"I deserve it more than any other woman!" Gladys argued back. "I have the looks, I have the personality, they should love me instead!"
"You've been going about love the wrong way," Judy told her. "You see love as this thing you can take, but it's a lot of hard work."
"I tried it, but all it got was me being sent to the loony house, and being rejected by everyone, including my own family!" Gladys cried out.
"Your sister gave you a chance, but blew it!" Theresa reminded her.
"But I ended up gaining this wonderful power thanks to her machine," Gladys said in delight.
"Well, it won't last for much longer!" Francine said as she fired more tranq darts at Gladys, only for them to miss as she ran. "How do we keep missing her?"
"She's fast," Theresa pointed out.
Gladys kept running, trying to get her men to come to her.
"Come on, come on!"
The thrall men were doing their own thing until a few of them sensed something.
"I sense something."
"Our mistress might be in trouble."
"We have to do something."
A wolf thrall made his way to the door, only for it to be locked. A lot of the other men tried to open the exists, only to realise they were locked in.
Jemma saw it through the video on her computer.
"Sorry boys, but we've got you trapped. Those doors are solid titanium, no way's anyone getting through" Jemma boasted. But then she saw on the footage the men were getting restless and kept banging on the doors. "But you guys are determined."
"We got this, Reddin," Chief Lontrun said through the com.
Abigale Lontrun and a riot squad were standing on the roof of the stadium, looking down at the men.
"All right ladies, fire the knock-out gas on my signal…" Chief Lontrun commanded the swat unit. "Now!"
The swat fired gas grenades down at the men. The gas filled the room, which made some of the men slow down, but they didn't stop.
"They're slowing down, but not stopping," one officer pointed out.
"How's that possible?" another asked.
"I don't know," Lontrun admitted.
"Don't worry…" Jemma said through the com.
"I've got just the thing," Jemma said as she typed on the keyboard. "Time for the big surprise." She kept typing, only for an X to appear on the screen.
"What happened?" Lontrun asked.
"Just give me a few minutes," Jemma said as she typed furiously.
"Better make it quick," Judy said through the com. "We can't have the men interfering."
"It's not letting me in!" Jemma said as she continued.
"Have you tried your System preferences?" Nick asked through the coms.
"Have you downloaded a driver?" Clawhauser asked as well through the coms.
"Try rebooting," Nick suggested.
"Oh, you guys fixed it," Jemma sarcastically said.
"Really?" Clawhauser asked.
"NO!" Jemma exclaimed. But then she realised something. "Wait." She looked around to find the boys gone. "Where are you guys, and how did you get into the coms?"
"We may have taken communicators while you weren't looking and are heading towards the stadium to give you guys a hand," Nick nonchalantly answered.
"But what about Gladys? I doubt you'll be able to resist," Jemma asked in concern.
"We'll help with the thralls," Bogo answered. "I trust Hopps, Pennington and Prowlson to deal with Sheer. Just keep doing what you're doing."
"You got it, Chief," Jemma said as she continued hacking.
A.N. And that was the tenth chapter, and the first part of the final battle. So the girls are trying to stop Gladys, who without her thralls is a coward, Jemma's monitoring everything from the Precinct, Lontrun and a SWAT is on standby.
Also, you might recognise the references from Dreamworks, The Bad Guys. I kinda redesigned Jemma to be based on Ms Tarantula.
Anyway, the next chapter is the last.
