Gotoh and Steve were both outside. "Do you know what experience is?" Gotoh asked. Steve thought for a moment, "It shows what level you are." Gotoh laughed. "You have a lot to learn. Experience does indeed show your level but it can do more than that. Experience can be used to enchant items such as weapons and armor; it can also be used to train a skill." Gotoh explained. "I knew about the enchanting, but training a skill?" Steve said. "Yes, you can use your levels to train a skill, right now I'm level forty, I can put all my levels into one skill or I can split them up into many, my main skill is hand to hand, my secondary is a bit of magic. So I can do things like this." Gotoh walked over to a tree and took a stance, he punched the tree. At first nothing happened but then seconds later the tree exploded from the inside. "Woah!" Steve awed. Gotoh turned around, "but don't think just because you can put levels into skills you automatically learn the skill, you have to train and practice to master the skill, choosing the skill only gives you a basic explanation of the skill." Steve was trying to figure everything out. "So Steve, what do you use to fight?" Gotoh asked. "Well I just use a sword." Steve said. "Alright, what level are you?" "I'm level twelve, very close to thirteen." Steve said. "Okay well you could put a couple of levels into Swords, but i'm no swordsman so I'm going to teach you about hand to hand." "How long is this practice going to last?" Steve questioned. "That'll depend on how good of a learner you are, also you can only learn three skills." Gotoh held up three fingers. " Your three skills go from strongest to weakest, so my strongest skill is hand to hand, second is magic, and third is willpower." "Willpower?" Steve questioned. "Yeah, willpower is a bit complex so let's just stick to hand to hand. For the next five days Steve and Gotoh trained hand to hand. Steve's strongest skill is swords and his second is hand to hand, he doesn't have a third skill yet. Alex was on her horse riding through the forest when she ran into somebody. It was Hiro.
