Rick wasn't sure if the new scans were still worth giving Nivenna's journal back to Aivenna. Sure the scans were rare ones that he would have had a very hard time getting by himself, but still what was written in the journal was just too good to let go. It was shocking to read Nivenna's thoughts on the yellow pages of the journal; he would have never had guested that was the Underworlder's thoughts and feelings.

But still he gave Aivenna his word that he would return one book for each scan and he wasn't going to back out of the deal. He wasn't that type of player who brakes a promise.

He and Aivenna were still walking towards where the rare mugics were kept, when Aivenna stopped and said: "There's a trap here."

"How can you tell?" Rick asked while looking around the place for any signs of the so called trap.

Aivenna, ignoring Rick's question, placed her box on the floor, opened the lid and took out what looked like a screwdriver with the handle made out of wood. She then jabbed the screwdriver in between two of the stone tiles and use the extra leverage to loosen one of the tiles out, revealing a secret switch.

"How the heck did you know about that?!" said Rick with wide eyes. Aivenna shushed him instead of answering his question. They couldn't risk someone hearing them and Rick was just load enough to be heard from several corridors thanks to the echo it made. She turned the switch and a faint sound of something turning off was heard. Rick barely was able to hear it, but to Aivenna's non human ears the sound might as well have been a blow horn.

Putting the screwdriver back into the box, she then explained: "I may not know what that trap was, but it's now deactivated. I wouldn't have known that it was there to begin with if I didn't have see the warning."

"What warning?" Rick asked.

"The tile that covered the switch was different than the others. I would tell you the difference, but I don't trust you and it's a highly guarded Overworld secret. You see there's traps like this in every important Overworld building such as this one. Since there is so many traps, it makes it hard for Overworlders who have never been to these places before, to travel though the buildings without sating off the traps. So every Overworlder that has a security level of rank three or more is taught about these traps." She explained.

"Oh, that makes sense, I guess." He said, looking at the tile which looked just like every other tile on the floor, to him.

"Let's keep going." Aivenna said, picking up the box and then they begin to quietly walk again.

Rick went back to thinking about Nivenna's journal and all the stories that were inside it. The journal was surprisingly old and many of its entries were dated back years and months ago. Nivenna apparently rarely wrote in the book, but when she did it was always because she was upset about something or that something big happened that day.

He kind of wished he could make an English copy of it and sell the copies back on earth; he would make a fortune on it. The journal was basically a bunch of short stories in Nivenna's life.

But he would never sell something so personal to make a profit. But, that didn't mean he couldn't take one of those short stories and post it. That would be fun to see how Chaotic fans will react to it.

May be he would still be able to keep the journal, after all the next scan on his list is almost impossible to get. There was only one player he knew of that had that scan. He wasn't the type of player to break a promise, but if Aivenna couldn't help him get the scan then she wouldn't get the journal.

A sly smile formed on his lips. Good thing Aivenna wasn't looking at his face or she would have known he was planning something.

Notes: This story so now over half way done. I'm hoping to have less than thirty chapters for this when it's all done.
