The explosion was too big so Solstice couldn't teleport away from it and summoning Arceus took most of his mana. He used the last bit of mana he had left to turn his skin into elder guardian scales so he could take the blast. Before the blast caught Darrius he ran and found a cave, he jumped into it, but the blast got his right arm. His arm evaporated right before his eyes. Darrius didn't even feel anything as his arm disappeared. He fell into the cave and avoided the blast. The adrenaline and surviving the explosion took Darrius's mind off the fact he lost his arm; it was only after the blast settled and the adrenaline wore off that he started to scream in pain. He had to do something, or he would bleed out, He used his darkness powers to recreate his right arm. His right arm was now made out of darkness. Doing this was tiring but if he mastered this darkness, he could permanently keep his arm like this. Darrius heard footsteps above him and looked up to see Solstice. "Still alive?" Solstice asked. "Yeah, just a damn arm." Darrius said angrily. Darrius blasted himself up to where Solstice was using his darkness powers. "Did he self-destruct?" Darrius asked as they were walking to where the explosion happened. "Yeah, he probably saw it as the only option, Arceus was too fast for him." Solstice said. Solstice and Darrius approached where Gotoh blew up. Nothing remained except for someone standing there. It was Arceus! Half of his torso was missing but he was still standing. "This isn't good." Solstice smiled nervously. "Why? Can't you control him." Darrius started to get nervous too. "Not right now my mana's depleted." Solstice said as he stared at Arceus. Arceus didn't move at all. Solstice and Darrius just stood still waiting for Arceus to make a move. Screw this! Darrius thought in his head and sent a blast of darkness at Arceus. "No! You idiot!" Solstice shouted as the blast went past him and straight at Arceus. Solstice was hoping that Arceus would disappear since he only lasted five minutes. Arceus dodged the blast and dashed towards Solstice. Solstice was still injured from the blast even with the scales. Arceus was about to cut Solstice in half, but his sword started to disappear. The five minutes were up. Solstice laughed, realizing he escaped death. "Summon me again and I will kill you." Arceus said as he disappeared. "Well, that was a waste of time." Solstice said. "Guess we got nothing to do then to go to the black hand." Darrius and Solstice left the area both injured and scarred from fighting a hero of the nether war and the missing king of Kvatch.
