Sam could tell Alex hated having him staying at the house. Living there he disliked Alex even more then he already did. Sam saw that Alex never cooked, cleaned or helped Mackenzie around the house in any way. He didn't understand why Mackenzie was with Alex.

Sam and Alex were in the middle of a match. Mackenzie was up on the apron. When she was knocked down her lower back missed the support padding and hit concrete hard. Pain radiated through her lower back. Sam immediately knew something was wrong. He wanted to go to her but knew he had to pay attention to what he was doing.

After the match Alex took Mackenzie to the hospital. She'd suffered a muscle spasm and was advised to take it easy for the next couple weeks.

Mackenzie and Alex were back at the motel. The painkiller the doctor had given her helped but she was still sore. She was laying in bed.

"Come lay down with me Alex." Mackenzie said.

"Mike just text me." "We're gonna go out."

"Please don't go out tonight." "I don't want to be alone."

"I can't do anything for you."

"I guess you're right."

"I promise I won't stay out late." He leaned down and kissed her. "I love you Mackenzie."

"I love you too Alex." Alex left.

A half hour later there was a knock at the door. Mackenzie slowly got up and gingerly walked to the door. When she opened the door Sam was standing there.

"Hi." She said.

"Hi." "Can I come in?"

"Yeah."

He went inside. "Where's Alex?"

"He went out."

"You're kidding me."

"There's nothing he could do for me."

"He could be here supporting you."

"I'm thinking about ordering a pizza." "Wanna split it?"

"Sure."

They just got done eating.

"Fuck.". She said.

"What's wrong?"

"I have to pee" "I don't want to get up."

"Put your arms around my neck." She did. He picked her up like a bride, carried her to the bathroom and stood her up. When she was done he came back into the bathroom to get her. He put her back in bed.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"I'm gonna go to sleep." "Will you stay until I fall asleep?"

"Yes." He sat on the edge of the bed.

She grabbed his hand and held it. "Thank you for being here with me Sam."

"You're welcome." She shut her eyes.
