Chapter Six
Authors Note: I appreciate the reads. It's good to know that there are other True Blood fans out there still. Leave a comment, and let me know what you think.
Sookie felt like she was going to hyperventilate as she tried to grab any reflective item on his desk, but nothing was big enough. She needed to see herself. This couldn't be real!
"Just relax." Eric neared her and she hissed at him. She gasped as she covered her mouth.
"I wish I could still eat popcorn." Pam smiled as she leaned against the wall.
"I'm not. I'm not." She began to ramble as she paced.
"Pam?" Eric looked at her for help.
"Oh, this is all on you big guy."
Sookie looked around the room quickly. Her sight was out of this world. She zoomed in on a small piece of dust on the corner of his desk. She could literally see the molecules.
"Sookie." Eric stood in front of her, and her eyes got wide.
"You did this to me?"
"You were dying."
Part of her wanted to be pissed at him but then she thought about Tara. She remembered when she lay on the floor dying. At that time, she would have done anything to keep her alive but this was Eric. Ruthless, murdering, and sexy as hell Eric. He had saved her, and he had only sired Pam and Willa in the last thousand years. This was insane.
"Say something, please." Eric looked on nervously.
"I need a minute." She walked out of his office as Pam stepped aside. Eric began to follow her, but Pam got in his way.
"You should give her a moment to process this."
He pushed her aside as he walked out of his office. Sookie walked over to the stripper pole and looked at her reflection. She opened her mouth and gasped again as she saw her fangs.
"You are so beautiful." Eric walked up to her, and she turned to face him.
"I am not supposed to be this."
"I will teach you everything I know."
She sucked back tears as she looked at him. Now she could see why Tara felt the way she did. "This is wrong." She was mourning her human life. It was over. Everything was over. Sunlight was now her enemy.
"Just give it some time. It's not so bad plus you have me." Eric stepped closer to her, and she backed up from him.
"You should have let me die."
"Don't say that. Don't ever say that." He was in front of her within seconds.
"I saw what Tara went through. She hated this life." Tears filled her eyes.
"It won't be like that for you. No one will hurt you. Not ever."
"You don't get it. This isn't the life I would have chosen for myself."
"I won't apologize for saving your life."
"Did you even think that maybe I wouldn't want this?" Tears fell down her cheeks. "After everything I have been through. You would know, Eric."
"You will get over it." His voice was cold and distant as he walked across the bar and poured himself a shot.
"Well, this isn't fun anymore. I'm out." Pam left the room.
Eric downed his shot and seconds later a stool was being thrown at him with incredible speed. He ducked as it crashed into the wall behind him. He turned just in time for her to grab another stool and then she threw that too.
"Damn it, Eric! This was not your choice to make!" She yelled.
He got up to her quickly as she grabbed another stool. His eyes tore into hers and then their lips were colliding in a hungry kiss.
As pissed off as she was with Eric for doing this to her, she couldn't stop her crazy attraction to him. It was a passion that she had never felt before. He whirled them around the club as they knocked into tables and chairs. Their hands aggressively wandered where they could. He pulled back and yanked on her top as it tore in half. She grabbed his shirt and proceeded to do the same. He grinned with amusement and then he was lifting her up as her legs wrapped around his waist. He moved them against a wall as his tongue dueled against hers. She snaked her hand between them as she fumbled with his belt.
Clothes began flying left and right as they crashed into a table. They moved like a blur around the room, knocking into tables and chairs and leaving devastation in their wake. It was brutal and raw. This level of passion she never thought was possible. She had nothing that even compared to this. It felt like she was learning about sex all over again. She had not expected it to be like this.
The sounds of their moans filled the room as waves of pleasure rocked their bodies.
"Mine." He groaned as his fangs descended. Moments later he was biting down on her neck as she cried out in pleasure. It was even more intense than previously. It was as if every nerve ending in her body was alive. Her fangs descended and instinct took over. He growled as he pulled back. His eyes nearly glowing and then she was biting his neck as he grunted.
They lay naked on the ground with destruction all around them.
"Am I still a fairy? Can you taste it?" She didn't know why the idea of not being a fairy made her incredibly sad. Hell, she had hated that side of herself for so long and now that it was gone, she missed it.
"No." He looked disappointed as well. "But you're going to need to eat." Eric broke the moment as she picked her head up from his chest. "The sooner you get it out of the way, the better."
"No, I can't." She got up and began to scramble for her clothes. He stood up too and sighed.
"You're a vampire now, Sookie."
"I won't feed off anyone." She got her clothes back on even though they were torn. She wrapped her arms around herself. She knew she must look like a sight. He had just fucked her senseless and she felt it. Her legs were still wobbly. She remembered the day she had walked in on him fucking that stripper in the basement. Even at that time, she was in awe over the power he exhumed not to mention his body was the epitome of perfection. She shook her head to snap those images out of her head. Literally, she was looking at him like a piece of meat. Her mind was so distracted that she could barely concentrate.
Eric pulled up his jeans and walked over to her. His chest and feet were bare. "There's always True Blood but I'm going to warn you that it's worse than drinking piss." He walked over to the bar and went behind it as she watched.
"You drank piss before?"
He looked up at her and rolled his eyes. He grabbed a True Blood and then brought it to her.
She swallowed hard and took it. She felt insatiable and not just for sex. She couldn't remember the last time she felt this hungry. It was a feeling like none other. She unscrewed the top of the drink and sniffed it. She cringed at the metallic scent.
"It's best just to down it," Eric added and she put the bottle to her lips. She took a small sip and immediately spit it out.
"Oh my god, that is awful!" She coughed and spat some more. How did Bill drink this all the time?
Eric couldn't help but chuckle. "The live stuff is so much better."
She shook her head and took another sip. She coughed even louder as she nearly vomited. The sound of her phone buzzing caught her attention, and it was as if her world came barreling back at her. She gasped.
"Oh my god, Arlene. I was supposed to help at the bar."
"That was yesterday." He added.
"Shit." She pulled out her phone and saw numerous missed calls and texts from just about everyone. "What am I going to do?"
"Well for starters you need to feed." He took the bottle out of her hand and chucked it across the room.
"What if I don't?"
"We're not going to worry about that because you are." He walked past her and picked up his shirt from the ground.
"You can't force me."
"I won't have to. Your body will do it for me." He walked towards his office, and she followed him.
"I'm still mad at you." She called out as she got to his office. He sat behind his desk and just looked at her.
"I like it when you are mad." He smirked and she rolled her eyes.
"I'm not joking, Eric. Get your mind out of the gutter."
"I like the gutter." He grinned.
She sighed and put her hands on her hips. "We still need to talk about this."
"Actually, right now we have a bigger problem on our hands." Eric let out a deep breath. "That thing inhabiting Bill's body has an agenda."
"But he is still in there. I saw it in his eyes."
"You need to stop thinking with your emotions."
Sookie rolled her eyes. "I am still me even if…"
"Those pesky human emotions will get you killed."
"You still have human emotions."
"Only with you so there is a difference."
"I can't just turn off my feelings like that, Eric.
"He tried killing you twice and literally chose death." He knew it was petty, but he was over her talking about Bill.
"Now that is really cruel to bring that up."
"It's the truth. Bill hasn't been your Bill for a long time." He sighed. "When you were gone for a year I never gave up hope. I saved your house because I knew you would be back."
"I know and I thanked you for that."
"Do you know what Bill was doing during that time?" His voice oozed with disgust.
"I don't want to talk about this with you." She turned to leave his office.
"He was living his life without a care in the world. Fucking whoever he wanted and making sure he didn't look bad in the eyes of the press."
"Are you just trying to hurt me?"
"I am trying to get you to open your eyes, Sookie. Bill was long gone before Lilith even came into the picture."
The sound of a commotion filled the air and before either of them could continue their conversation, Pam walked in with Nan and a few guards.
"I told her not to interrupt you." Pam sighed heavily as Nan walked into the room and immediately looked at Sookie.
"Really, Eric? Her too?" Nan rolled her eyes and Sookie began to speak but she put her hand up to stop her. "I don't have time to deal with your new situation." She looked at Eric. "Bill killed twenty guards. Some of them were human. My men tracked him as far as the Canadian border."
Eric stood up on alert. "Do we know what he is going after?"
"No, but it's not good. Whatever he is now is for lack of a better word, a fucking mess." Nan huffed.
"What are you planning on doing once you catch him?" Sookie couldn't help but ask.
"If we catch him." Nan corrected her and then looked back at Eric. "I advise you and your new progeny to go into protective custody until we figure this out."
"No way. You let him get loose. I protect my own." Eric walked over to Sookie and stood beside her.
"Well since I am no longer part of this arrangement then I would very much like the protection, Nan," Pam added.
"You don't need to do that. You know I always have your back." Eric looked at her.
"Pardon me if I don't trust your intentions, Eric. You were holding him captive for a few days without alerting the authority." Nan rolled her eyes.
"What?" Sookie turned and looked at him.
He refused to look back at her as he spoke to Nan. "I told you I was holding him until you were made aware."
"Oh, cut the bullshit Eric, she knows the truth." Pam huffed loudly and they all looked at her. "What?"
"You knew he was back? You were holding him here?" Sookie was having a hard time understanding what was happening.
"I'm not letting you lock us away while you figure out what to do with him." He walked in front of Nan.
"Can someone explain to me what is going on?" Sookie looked between them.
"Then you are not only risking your life but hers as well." Nan sighed.
"Eric just let them keep us safe. Who knows what Bill is up to." Pam's voice was filled with worry.
"You can go with them if you want. Me and Sookie are fine."
"Actually, Sookie is not fine." She huffed. "How long did you know that he was back? Before I went to Italy with you?"
"Fine suit yourself." Nan turned from him but then one of her guards held up his phone. There was a news report going on in the background.
"Breaking news just in. There seems to have been some sort of explosion at two of the main True Blood factories in Europe. More to come as information comes in." The tv anchor spoke as they all watched.
"Good damn it! We have to go." Nan spun on her heel.
"Is he destroying the factories, again?" Sookie was in shock.
Eric followed Nan out of the office. "The factories also have the Hep V cure."
"Not all of it. We saved some aside in case of an emergency such as this." Nan continued to walk. "Things are about to get very bad for our kind, Eric. You should think twice about sticking around."
"Eric?" Pam pleaded.
"Go with her. I have somewhere for me and Sookie to go to."
"Wait. Eric." Sookie walked up to him.
"You're being stupid." Pam sighed and then she left the club.
Nan got to the door and turned to look at him as her guards walked out. "Good luck."
Eric pulled out his phone and immediately dialed it. "I need the plane fueled up."
"Eric, we need to talk." Sookie huffed with annoyance, and he put his hand up to shoosh her.
"Fine, do what you want. I'm not going with you." She stormed over to the door.
"Fuck. I will call you back." Eric hung up and then got to the door before she did.
"How could you not tell me?" She was pissed as she looked at him.
"Can we do this later. Right now, I really need to get us somewhere safe."
"Safe? You knew he was back, and you knew it wasn't good. How long did you know?"
"We can talk about it on the way to Norway."
"Norway!" Her eyes got wide.
"I just need you to trust me on this."
"How long did you know?" She put her hands on her hips again.
He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "I was trying to protect you."
"Bullshit. Don't lie to me, Eric!"
"The day you were leaving he showed up at Fangtasia but I didn't right away that it was him. He was on fire."
"I'm sure you figured t out pretty quick though." She felt sick as she stood there. Her stomach tightened and she hunched over.
"Let me get you something to eat." His voice softened.
"You mean someone to drain!" She yelled. "Why didn't you tell me about him!"
"I didn't know if he was dangerous or not but I tend to lean towards the danger end because well, we've all been here before." He rolled his eyes.
"You still could have told me."
"You wouldn't have understood. You would have put yourself in harm's way."
"It wasn't your choice to make for me!" She yelled and then cried out in pain.
"Sookie." He reached for her, and she hissed at him loudly as her fangs descended. Seconds later she was running out of his club.
"Fuck!" He yelled as he went after her.
Authors Note: I know Nan died in the show but she works for my story so we'll just pretend that never happened lol
