The year was now 2023. Over the last six years Sam's career had really taken off. He now worked for AEW and was currently in his second reign as TNT Champion. He was backstage at the arena. He saw someone, her back was to him. He hadn't seen her in six years but he knew it was her. He went over to her.
"Hi Mac." He said.
"Sam." She said smiling when she turned around. "Hey."
"Hey." "I heard rumors you were signed here."
"I signed my contract two weeks ago."
"I know you'll do great here." "How have you been?"
"Great." "I have a new job, and I'm in the middle of planning my wedding."
"There you are." Alex said coming over to her. Sam had heard rumors of him signing as well but he'd hoped they were wrong. Alex looked at Sam. "Oh hey." He looked at Mackenzie. "Did you tell him the good news?"
"About our wedding?" "Yeah."
"You should show him the ring later when you put it back on."
"I will."
"I'll see you guys later." Sam said. He walked away.
Sam went to his friend Steve's (Sting's) locker room. Steve could tell he was agitated.
"What's going on?" Steve asked.
"I just saw an old friend of mine." "I just found out she's getting married."
"Isn't that a good thing?"
"Not with the guy she's marrying." "He's a complete jackass." "I can't believe she's still with him."
"That bad huh?"
"He's one of the worst people I've ever met."
"What's so bad about him?"
"Well I don't know about now but he used to order her around, make her to everything around the house." "He cheated on her and I would bet my life that he still is."
"Are you sure you're not just jealous?"
"No." "The guy is a complete douchebag."
