Celebriel is the daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn. She was born at the very moment the Third Age began, when Gil-Galad and Elendil fell fighting Sauron. She is unusual in many ways-her long hair is red, and her eyes are green as the forest she loves She has also inherited the second sight of her mother-which makes her vulnerable to the searching spirit of the sleeping Sauron.

Actually Imladris was not perfectly safe. It was besieged by Angmar around 1356-1375, maybe to 1409. I keep finding conflicting information about the dates. They eventually received help from armies from the Greenwood and Lorinand to help break the siege. Later, Elrond sent troops out to help the king of Arnor fight the witch king, who fell into a trap that the Witch King set and went off to challenge him. His dynasty ended shortly after that.

And remember, around this time Galadriel and Celeborn were living in Lune so Imladris would not yet have had the protection of the Ring of Galadriel. They didn't come to Lorinand until after Amroth and Nimrodel, along with some of their people fled the invasion (or threatened invasion) from Dol Guldor (which I think was led maybe by the witch king)

I now have more resources to rely on, including a site I found on the Internet. (though honestly I prefer books, what can I say, I'm old fashioned)
