The next morning Mackenzie woke up. Sam woke up a few seconds later.

"Morning." He said.

"Morning." He pulled her on top of him. She laughed. "I wish I could stay in bed with you all day."

"That sounds like fun." "Why can't we do that?"

"I have to go talk to Alex." "Both of our names are on the deed to the house, I'm letting him have it." "I've put him through enough." "I'm getting my things and checking into a hotel."

"Hotel why?"

"I need to stay somewhere until I find another place to live."

"You can move in with me."

She smiled. "Sam, we haven't even been dating twenty-four hours yet."

"I don't care, I want you to be here."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Ok." "Talking to Alex is gonna suck." "We were together for a long time." "It's not as easy as, I have a new boyfriend, now, see ya."

"I know but you'll feel better once it's over." "Before you go let me make us breakfast."

"Ok."

When Mackenzie went to Alex's house he wasn't home. She packed her things as she waited. As she was coming down the stairs with a suitcase, the front door opened and Alex walked in.

"Hi." She said. She put the suitcase down at the bottom of the stairs.

"Why?" He asked.

"I fell in love with someone else." "I didn't plan it." "It just happened."

"You couldn't have told me sooner?"

"I thought I could marry you up until it was time."

"I love you."

"I'll always care about you Alex, but I don't love you anymore." "I'm sorry."

"What does this guy have that I don't have?"

"We just have a connection."

"And we don't?"

"It's hard to describe."

"Who is it?"

"Sam."

"Sam?" "Wait, it better not be the Sam I'm thinking of."

"It is."

"You're leaving me for that asshole."

"He's not an asshole."

"Were you sleeping with him when we were together?"

"Yes."

"Was it just one time?"

"No."

"Were you having an affair with him?"

"Yes."

"Were you with him in our bed?"

"Yes."

"When was the first time?"

"The weekend of your bachelor party."

"I would never do that to you."

"I know cheating on you was wrong, but don't you dare lie." "I know you were with a redhead that weekend."

"What?" "No I wasn't."

"Yes you were." "I saw pictures."

"From who?"

"A blocked number." "You can have the house."

"I want you, not the house."

"It's over Alex, I'm sorry." She left.
