Today was Mackenzie's doctor's appointment. She couldn't wait to finally leave the house. She'd just came down the stairs.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah."
After the doctor performed a thorough examination of Mackenzie the doctor went and got Sam who was in the waiting room. They were all in the doctor's office.
"The symptoms have reversed and I'm lifting the order of bedrest." The doctor said.
"Thank god." Mackenzie said.
"However you still need to take it easy." "Absolutely no travelling and no strenuous activities." "Sex is fine, but no heavy lifting or things of that nature."
Mackenzie and Sam had just gotten in the car.
"Wanna go to lunch?" He asked.
"Yeah."
They were waiting for their food. Sam was on his phone.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Booking a flight home." "One leaves in five hours." "That should give me enough time to go back to your house and pack." "When I go home I need to get in touch with a realtor."
"Are you still sure you want to move to California?" "We can make it work with you living in Atlanta."
"Yes I'm sure." "Plus I want to help you with her when she's born." "I'm taking paternity leave." "I might stay with you again then."
"That's fine."
Mackenzie and Sam had just gotten back to the house.
"Do you need help packing?" Mackenzie asked.
"Nope just sit down and rest."
A half hour later Sam came down with his bags.
"I'm leaving." He said. Mackenzie got up and went over to him. He knelt down by her stomach. "Daddy's leaving but I promise I'll be back." "Hopefully next time I come back mommy can bring you to my new house." He kissed her stomach. "I love you." He stood up.
"Have a safe flight."
"I will."
"I want you back." "Don't go, I love you." She thought.
"Thanks for everything you've done." They hugged.
"I'd do it all over again."
"I know."
They looked at each other. He thought about kissing her. "I've gotta go." "Bye."
"Bye." He left. She looked at her stomach. "This is killing mommy Riley Ann." "I know I'm doing the right thing and that's all that matters."
