Two weeks later Mackenzie and Sam were unpacking some boxes of his stuff Riley Ann was napping
"Let's take a break for a minute." Sam said. "Come here."
She walked up to him smiling. "Honey we can't."
They kissed. "I'll be quick, I promise." "You're so beautiful." He started kissing the side of her neck.
"Mmmm." She moaned. "Baby stop."
"You don't sound like you want me to."
"I don't." Mackenzie wanted this. She wanted him but she couldn't bare Sam seeing her naked. Then a very good excuse came to her she hadn't thought of before. "We don't have any condoms."
He stopped. "No we don't." "Damn."
"I know you're not ready for another baby this soon."
"Not quite."
The next morning Mackenzie, Riley Ann and Sam were all in the bed. Mackenzie was feeding Riley Ann. Riley Ann kept grabbing the bottle wanting to hold it herself.
"You want to hold it?" Mackenzie asked. She let it go. Riley Ann was able to hold it by herself. "What a good girl."
"That's daddy's smart girl." "I love mornings like this."
"Me to"
"I've been trying to find a way to ask you something." Sam reached over and opened the nightstand drawer.
As soon as Mackenzie saw the box he'd taken out she smiled. "Is that what I think it is?"
"Yeah." He opened the box. "I thought about giving you another ring but I know how much you love this one." "I want this forever, I want you forever, I want our family forever." "Will you marry me?"
"Yes." He put the ring on her finger. She looked at Riley Ann. "Mommy and daddy are getting married." She looked at Sam. "I love you."
"I love you too." They kissed.
