The Gorgostone

6000 years ago, two armies fought for control of an area. One side tried to enlist Gorgos to help them destroy their enemies. But Gorgos could not be controlled, he ravaged the land. The two armies had to join forces to defeat him. They were able to contain Gorgos in a stone, and spit the stone into five pieces. What happened to those stones, therein lies our tale.

6000 years ago, two armies fought for control of an area with plentiful resources. When one side was on the verge of defeat they got desperate, and summoned an ancient spirit known as Gorgos. But Gorgos could not be controlled. It ravaged the land, and decimated both sides. What remained of the two armies had to join forces to stop him. They used their strongest warriors, their most powerful wizards. But in the end they stood victorious, barely. Gorgos was trapped within a stone, the Gorgostone. At this point, there were only five survivors of the two armies, so they divided the Gorgostone into five pieces. Gorgos could only return if all five pieces were reassembled. Each man took one of the stones, and went in different directions. The men never saw each other again, but each man honored their oath to keep Gorgos contained. Therein lies our tale.
