Chapter 12: Meeting of the Gods
"You are all about to enter high school...so you all have to start thinking about your futures..." Izuku's homeroom teacher spoke as he held up a stack of papers. "I would give you all one of these sheets..."
A smirk suddenly spread across the teacher's face before he tossed the papers in the air. "But I want you all to know that you want to be heroes!" He declared. The entire classroom erupted in cheers, with several students even letting off their quirks, forcing the teacher to try and calm them down. "Yes, yes, you all have magnificent quirks." He pointed out "But please don't use them in school grounds."
"Oi, sensei!" Katsuki boisterously exclaimed from the back of the room, kicking his feet up on his desk. "Don't lump me in with all these other losers! My quirk outshines all their crappy ones!"
"Oi! Get the hell over yourself, Katsuki!"
"Yeah! Shut yer mouth!"
"You're the ones who need to shut the hell up!" Katsuki yelled as he threw back his head and laughed. "You background extras should act like extras!" Izuku just sighed as he watched several annoyed students gather around Katsuki's desk. "Man...why is it that Kacchan always has to start something?" He thought.
"Watch your tone, Bakugo..." The teacher spoke sternly as he sat down on his desk. "Aren't you aiming to enter U.A Academy?" He reminded him "You might want to watch your attitude."
"Seriously, for real!?"
"I hear the cutoff score this year is 85!"
"They barely even accept anyone!"
"Quit your yammering!" Katsuki yelled, standing on top of his desk so everyone could see him. "I aced the mock exam!" He declared. "I'm the only one in this damn class that can get into U.A!" He flashed them a cocky smirk as he let out another hearty laugh. "One day, I'll even surpass All-Might and become the greatest hero the world has ever seen! Not to mention, being rich and famous too!"
"Oh, aren't you also gunning for U.A, Midoriya?" The teacher asked Izuku which caused Katsuki to deflate instantly and the rest of the class to fall silent. The green-haired boy groaned as he knew what would happen next when everyone in the class turned to face him before bursting into laughter.
"HUH?! Midoriya!? No way?!"
"You may be strong and got good grades, but you can't be a hero without a quirk!"
"Ugh...how many times do I have to explain this...?" Izuku said in frustration as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Something like this has never-"
"Get real, Deku!" Katsuki roared, slamming his hand onto Izuku's desk, creating a small explosion that made everyone, except Izuku flinch at the sudden blast. "Forget about crappy quirks! You got no damn quirk!" He added. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"
"We've been over this, Kacchan." Izuku calmly replied, sighing lightly as he faced the former. "I know you're worried, but I'll be fine." "Just because I don't have a quirk doesn't mean I can't be a hero." He pointed out. "I do actually have a plan."
"Tch, I ain't worried about shit!" Katsuki barked, turning his head away to hide his flushing cheeks. "Just because you saved some girl, doesn't make you-!" At once, it was as if the whole room grew cold and everyone felt as if their breaths were being squeezed out of them.
Katsuki's eyes widened and his face grew blue. It didn't help that Izuku stood up and fixed him with such a cold and intimidating glare that it could send even the bravest of men screaming. "Her name...is Ochako..." He whispered softly and dangerously. "You've met her a bunch of times, so show some respect and use her name for once..."
For a moment there, Katsuki could have sworn he had seen Izuku's green eyes turn a bright electric blue and seemed to spark a little. However, he regained his composure and turned away with a scoff. "Whatever..." He muttered, storming off. "Just don't come crying to me if you get hurt!"
Izuku sighed as he watched him leave. "Why can't he just be honest for once in his life...?" He thought.
(Meanwhile...on Mount Olympus in the Other-Earth...)
It was late in the night on Mount Olympus, but there was much going on. Athena was anxiously waiting in the council room. This was a special room where the Big Three held private meetings to discuss the mortals. The Big Three were the three most powerful Olympians
Now, instead of the usual three, there were 9 seats surrounding a large round table with emblems on top. There was a lightning bolt, three triangles, a scarab beetle with wings, a golden Chinese dragon, a pink lotus flower, a Japanese shrine gate, a Celtic emblem, an African fresco and a golden mask.
High above, the roof had a large window where the full moon shone through, bathing the room in a silvery glow. "I hope all goes well..." Athena whispered. "It's got to...it has too..." "Getting nervous, daughter?" A voice spoke up.
Athena gasped and turned to see another god with a white beard and long white hair behind her. He wore a white and blue toga, with part of his muscular chest showing. He had bracers on his arms with lightning bolts etched in them and golden sandals on his feet. His eyes were a blazing white and on his golden belt was an image of an eagle. "Father...!" Athena cried, before bowing low.
"It is unfitting for the Goddess of Wisdom to be so nervous." Zeus told her with a sly smile. His voice was soft but it rumbled with distant thunder. "Forgive me, Father." Athena replied. "I am just...apprehensive."
"All of the 8 High Gods gathered here." She added. "This would most likely draw attention..." "Do not worry, Athena." Zeus assured her. "I had Ares, Hercules and Apollo send guards all around." "Besides, this is a meeting of the most powerful deities in the world" He added. "Only a fool would think to attack us here..."
"Still, you are right..." He sighed, stroking his beard "With the Cult of Kronos now growing bolder by the day and Kronos' power growing stronger, it is time for us to come together as we have in the past and unite against a common foe." Athena nodded. "Yes...Father." She replied.
"Lord Zeus!" Hermes called as he flew in. "The 7 High Gods! They have arrived!" Zeus nodded. "Send them in." He told the former who bowed and flew off. Athena took a deep breath to calm her nerves and a gentle pat from her father's hand worked too.
After a while, Hermes walked into the council chamber, carrying a long horn. "Announcing the 7 High Gods of the Pantheon Alliance!" He called, before blowing a long fanfare. Zeus and Athena prepared to greet their guests.

"From Asgard, Odin the All-Father!"
An armored god with a long white beard dressed in Nordic leather armor with a blue tunic around his waist, the three white triangles patterned on it. His helmet had horns and he had a bearskin draped on his right shoulder with furred boots. His most striking parts was the eyepatch over his right eye and the long spear he held in his hands.
"Zeus!" He called out, with a grin. The latter chuckled as he embraced Odin in a great bear-hug which he returned. "Odin, my old friend!" He replied. "It is good to see you again!" "Likewise..." The All-Father replied. "I only wish it was under better circumstances."
"Yes...me as well..." Zeus replied. "Still, I am glad you have come..."
"From Duat in Egypt, Ra, Lord of the Sun!"
Another god entered the chamber. He wore a white linen loincloth decorated with gold thread and red robes. On his chest, he wore a breastplate made of feathers with a golden circle on the front that resembled the sun. He wore a pharaoh's headdress over his head which was that of a hawk. In his hands, he held a staff with a golden eye on top.
"Ra, welcome to Olympus!" Zeus greeted him. The hawk-headed god nodded. "It is always a pleasure and honor to visit Olympus, Lord Zeus." He replied, sounding pleased.
"From the Celestial Court of China, Nu-Wa, Guardian of Heaven and Earth."
A beautiful goddess with long red hair and striking green eyes entered the chamber. Her attire consisted of gold robes decorated with beads. Her upper body was that of a beautiful woman, but her lower part resembled that of a huge white serpent's tail with white scales. Five different colored crystals floated around her.
"Lady Nu-Wa..." Zeus replied, bowing to her and taking her hand. "You grace my home with your beauty..." Nu-Wa nodded; her serpent tail turned into two slender human legs with feet. "The Jade Emperor sends his respects." She replied, her voice soft and soothing.
"From India, Vishnu, the Preserver!"
A blue-skinned god with four arms entered, wearing a golden dhoti on his legs. He wore a golden necklace and a long garland of flowers around his neck. He held a conch shell, a chakra, a golden mace and a lotus flower in each hand respectively. On his head was a golden crown with a peacock feather sticking out of it.
"Lord Vishnu..." Zeus replied, bowing to him. "I am humbled by your presence." "It is good to see you again, Zeus." Vishnu replied, his voice calm and gentle, his four hands pressed together as he bowed back.
"From Japan, Amaterasu, the Shining Light!"
A beautiful goddess with long silky black hair entered. She was dressed in a white kimono decorated with red flowers and red sashes around her waist. She wore a golden crown on her head.
"Lord Zeus..." She replied, bowing to him. "My father, Izanagi sends his regards." "Likewise, Lady Amaterasu." Zeus replied. "You and your family are welcome in my home."
"From Africa, Olorun, Ruler of the Heavens!"
A black-skinned god entered. His entire outfit was white and decorated with swirls. He had golden bracers on his hands and a halo around his head. His eyes glowed a bright golden light like the sun.
"Lord Zeus!" He replied as he gave the Olympian King a firm handshake. "It is good to see you again!" "The pleasure is all mine." Zeus replied with a smile.
"From the British Isles, Cernunnos, the Horned God!"
The deity in questions looked more like a beast than a man. He was covered in brown fur with a thick mane running down on his back and his beard was tied to a braid. He had cervine hooves on his legs and his arms were as thick as tree trunks. He had small tusks portruding out from his mouth and his antlers stretched out like a crown on his head.
"Lord Cernunnos, forgive me for calling you." Zeus spoke humbly. "but it is a matter of great importance" Cernunnos snorted. "I am not fond of politics, but I too sense Mother Earth is trembling..." He replied.
"Finally, from the depths of the Mayan Jungle, Kukulkan, the Feathered Serpent of the Nine Winds!"
Great gusts of wind blew into the council room, causing the other gods to cover their faces. A great serpent descended from the sky, its four red wings beating furiously. It was engulfed in a bright light and in its place stood a handsome god wearing an ornate headdress and a loincloth around his waist. A long cloak of red feathers was draped over his shoulders and a beak-like mask was over his mouth.
"Lord Zeus..." Kukulkan spoke, his voice soft and calm while his serpentine eyes glinted brightly. "It has been too long..." "Not so, Lord Kukulkan." Zeus replied. "Still, it is good for you to come."
With that, the mighty King of Olympus turned to the gathered gods. "Brothers and Sisters, my fellow deities..." He spoke in a clear voice. "I bid you all welcome." "I have brought you all here to discuss a grave danger that threatens us all." He added.
"And what is that, Lord Zeus?" Ra asked. Zeus eyed each deity with a grim expression and what he spoke sent chills down their spines. "Kronos will return..."
