Author's notes:
Hello, my dear readers. I'm bringing this chapter earlier than normal due to how structured the first two episodes of the series are. I'll still most likely keep the weekly posting going, or at least warn you all in case things go awry. Also, I'm posting this now because I've decided to rewrite some parts of Dodgebrawl since I wasn't content with how things turned out!
I wanna take some time to respond to the reviews that were left in the previous chapter.
Gaxxot: (My friend had to translate this for me XD) I'm very glad you've enjoyed it! Yes, I agree that there is a ton that can be done, I just fear I won't be able to write them all out as I want, due to how long the fanfic would become, haha. Ah, this is a point I do wholly agree with. Amy is pretty controversial, and writing her to be the same as canon would be a disservice. I won't say much, but you'll see that she is different enough, while staying true to her roots.
Gucci Mane LaFlare: Thank you! I did try to give everyone a little bit of attention, that way there isn't an obvious first boot. You know, since some of the first boots are plenty ignored until the end of the challenge, where they screw it up for their team, LOL. That is true, they could cameo one way or another, so I'll take that idea and process it. I won't wander off too much into the last bits, but rest assured, Harold will not be relentlessly bullied. That felt pretty pointless, given his only revenge was getting Courtney kicked off before himself. Oh, and I am gonna come forward and say: Scarlett will not be a supervillain.
Thank you all who also favorited and followed the story! It means a lot to me to see people supporting the story in any way they can! Without further ado, here's the next chapter!
Episode 2: Not So Happy Campers Pt. 2
The episode opened with Chris standing exactly in the same spot he stood when he closed the curtain for the previous one. The mountains and cliff look mighty from afar, the trees standing proud, and the main buildings all near each other, with the lake and pier looking peaceful as they'll ever be.
"Last time on Total Drama Island!" Chris exclaimed as the recap of the previous episode began. "22 campers have signed up to spend eight weeks, right here at this crummy old summer camp. Then, have to face the judgment of their fellow campers." As he narrated, the previous scenes were all shown again, including their first impression of the cabins, the first time they arrived at the clearing, eating at the mess hall, and the very beginning of the challenge.
Introduction Song
The scene opened again, showing the campers looking fearfully down the cliff, into the unknown waters of the lake. Mostly lined up, they all stood quiet as Chris began explaining the challenge. "OK, Today's challenge is threefold. Your first task is to jump off this 1000 ft. high cliff into the lake!" Chris spoke, making some of the more skittish campers back away from the edge, clearly scared of falling by accident.
Scarlett decided to intervene, making sure the others didn't fall for this blatant misinformation. "Excuse me, Chris. This cliff barely even reaches 100 ft., so what makes you think we'd believe it was 1000 ft. tall? Do you take us for fools?" Scarlett asked, crossing her arms and looking smug at the host. The latter simply glowered at her and replied. "It's called 'adding flair', a little bit of 'Je ne sais quo, Scarlett. Jeez, let me do my job and go memorize a dictionary someplace else."
Scarlett - Confessional (1)
Scarlett removed her glasses, took a small handkerchief from her pocket,, and rinsed any specks of dust. "You know, normally, I would be happy to continuously prove Christopher wrong, but right now I can't afford to be on his bad side, should we lose a challenge, the others could easily throw me under the bus." Scarlett put the glasses back on, maintaining a calm, yet cold expression. "Until I'm able to properly assess my team's strengths, weaknesses and potential, I'll remain low." She finished with a small smirk appearing on her lips.
Scarlett - Confessional - End (1)
"If you look down, you'll see two target areas." As the camera panned over, there were distinct target areas as Chris said, the outer one being much larger, while the inside one being significantly smaller. Both are surrounded by buoys. "The wider area represents the part of the lake that we have stocked with haha psychotic, man-eating sharks!" As Chris laughed at what awaited the less fortunate campers, the camera showed the sharks all jumping into the air and biting down anything they could muster. "Inside that area is a safe zone. That's your target area. Which we're pretty sure it's shark free!" With the last bit, all campers looked at each other in disbelief, some believing Chris was jesting at the last part, some others not so much.
"What do you mean by 'pretty sure'?! Shouldn't you check these things?" Cameron suddenly bursted from the back, catching some of his teammates by surprise. Chris simply smiled and shrugged, clearly not bothering to dignify it with a proper answer. Instead, he chose to carry on with the explanation.
"For each member of your team that jumps and survives, there will be a crate of supplies, waiting below." Said crates were the focus of the camera now. "Inside each of the crates are supplies you'll need for the second part of the challenge. Building a hot tub! The team with the best one gets to have a wicked hot tub party tonight." The imagery of a shining hot tub was presented, giving some ballpark to determine what's appropriate and what's not. "The losers will be sending someone home…" A couple of luggage were shown at the dock of shame.
Harold - Confessional (1)
Harold was, as per usual, hunching back in the confessional. "You know, I managed to build something similar to that, back in Inventive Steve's Junior Inventor Gizmo League [1], building a hot tub is kinda like building a car, only you can get away with getting wet much more frequently," Harold said, shuddering at the memories from the past years.
Harold - Confessional - End (1)
"So, any volunteers? Screaming Gophers? Killer Bass?" Crickets from both teams made Chris frown. "You know, these types of shows are always tested beforehand by interns. We can assure you, this one has been tested." Chris said with a smile. He just didn't mention it was necessarily tested and approved, but they didn't need to know the finer details. "So, you either choose or I randomly pick one of you. Tick, tock, the clock's ticking." He tapped his wristwatch.
Alejandro, seeing no one else was gonna bother to jump, stood in front of his team and spoke. "I'll go first, Chris." Chris smiled at the initiative. "Just remember you are making the others jump after you, OK? So make sure you're all in agreement, lest one of you wanna play the blame game." Alejandro turned back to his team and saw a few glares, but nothing that deterred him from carrying on. "Don't worry, I believe my team will do just fine, we all just need a little push. Ladies, I'll be waiting down there in case anything happens. And men, please make sure you don't embarrass yourselves, at least try and save face." After the flirting/quipping, Alejandro took a beautiful dive toward the lake, aiming directly for the eye of the target area.
With a big splash of water, he resurfaced back and showed a thumbs up to the remaining cast, showing he was all right and the challenge was safe-ish.
"Good job, soldier! Now it's time for this cadet to take a dive and make his team proud!" Brick saluted and took his position. He ran towards the cliff, and without looking jumped directly forward. He managed to hit the target area, but when he resurfaced, he was completely pale. He swam back to the boat and Alejandro immediately noticed his behavior.
Alejandro - Confessional (1)
"One of my strategies for the game as of now is to simply build an impenetrable wall of allies that would rather vote themselves out than see me being voted off. And as you all have probably seen, I dish out a lot of compliments to the girls, but that doesn't mean I'll only ally myself with them. Another one of my goals is to pick strong, yet dependent people. And Brick's sudden lack of posture makes me think I'll hit a goldmine." Alejandro started with a malicious grin adorning his face.
Alejandro - Confessional - End (1)
"Brick? What's up, mi amigo? Are you alright?" Alejandro somewhat faked sympathy. He was curious about Brick's situation, but for all the wrong reasons. "I… Yes, I am. I'm just a little shaken about it all. I never saw myself doing something like this, and yet, I did it anyway. Because I didn't want to hinder my team. I just need a moment to rest, that's all."
"Of course, you can always come to talk to me in case anything else happens. That's what friends are for, after all." Alejandro had planted his seed inside Brick's head, now it was all a matter of time before he had the cadet wrapping around his finger. "Thank you, soldier!"
Back to the top of the cliff, the next contestant, Bridgette, looked down. "All right… all you need to do is jump into the water, no big deal. You've faced worse tides, what's a little jump gonna do to you?" As much as tried to encourage herself, her trepidation was obvious and she wasn't too fond of the idea. Still! She couldn't jump, especially due to the challenge involving water, something she claimed she was looking forward to.
Pulling back, Bridgette began to debate by herself. Geoff, who was standing nearby, saw her predicament and offered a friendly advice, despite belonging to opposite teams. "Hey, Bridgette, right?" The girl was surprised to see an opponent suddenly talking to her, but she managed to nod. "Cool, I just want you to know, if anything happens, I'll jump right after you, to make sure you're alright. You got this!" Geoff reassured her, and despite finding it a little odd, sly felt reassured.
That, however, did not go unnoticed by Courtney. The former C.I.T. walked over to Geoff and demanded an explanation. "What the hell, Geoff? You're not supposed to help the enemy, you're supposed to psych 'em out if anything." Courtney explained with a small frown on her face. "Sorry, brah, I was just trying to help her, I wasn't even thinking about the challenge…"
At that, Scarlett joined the conversation. "Yes, Geoff, we get that you're a kind soul, but we really shouldn't be overtly helpful towards the other team, lest you want the team to think you're a two-timer…" Scarlett dropped the line as if it was the most natural thing in the world, and Geoff gulped due to the prospect of being eliminated first for being a "traitor". He backed off from the cliff and apologized to the two of them.
Courtney - Confessional (1)
Courtney wore a shocked expression on her face, yet a little proud. "Woah, I did not take Scarlett for someone who'd say those things so easily. I like her even more by the minute." Courtney smiled at the prospect of finding someone similar to her.
Courtney - Confessional - End (1)
Geoff - Confessional (1)
Geoff looked downcast, for once. "Man… All I tried to do was help a nice girl, but I can't blame Scarlett and Courtney either. I made a mistake, big time. I just hope this won't come back to bite me in the butt." He trailed off, pulling his hat downwards.
Geoff - Confessional - End (1)
With newfound confidence, Bridgette jumped from the cliff and hit inside the target area, just as both of her teammates did. "Woohoo! I did! Thank you, Geoff!" As she thanked him, Courtney and Scarlett looked at each other and gave small eye rolls, but decided it was not worth it to keep admonishing him for the time being.
Chris popped up in the frame again, this time to announce some of the rules. "Wow, Gophers. 3/3 so far, you're doing better than I imagined. I just hope the remaining ones can pull it off too. Who knows what awaits in store for the team that has the most jumpers." Chris offered with a small smile but didn't say much else, obviously piquing the curiosity of the remaining divers.
"Is it a strategic advantage? If so, we have to make sure everyone jumps. We can't afford to lose the advantage in the first challenge." Devin commented with his team, namely, Scarlett and Courtney, since most of the others were not paying attention and were way too scared. He may be chill and more often than not lax, but he was also competitive when need be. "So, I propose we leave someone that will jump out for last, that way they can convince the others that aren't sure to jump and not lose the challenge," Devin explained his line of thinking, receiving nods from his teammates. "Alright, so does anyone volunteer themselves?"
Devin - Confessional (1)
Devin started the shot with his leg crossed on top of the other. "Normally, I wouldn't be one for forcing people to do stuff they don't want to. But in this case, where there's cash on the end goal? Heck yeah!"
Devin - Confessional - End (1)
Scarlett noticed this was her chance, so she raised her hand and offered herself. "I'll do it. I'll stay here until the others jump." Both Devin and Courtney thanked her, and took their places, waiting for the Gophers to keep jumping.
When the camera shifted, Amy and Sammy were shown looking down at the lake with fear evident in their eyes, a few of their teammates standing near, yet far enough that they couldn't accidentally fall into the lake. "Uh… Amy, a-are we sure we wanna do t-this?" Sammy asked, failing to not stutter. "S-shut up, Samey. Would you rather get booted off f-first?" Amy replied harshly, but still stuttering just as much as her twin. "Well, no…" Sammy replied and took a step towards the cliff. "But jumping from this high up is-" Sammy was cut off by Chris, who decided to up the ante.
"Aw, are the wonder twins that scared of this little jump?" Chris asked in mockery, clearly enraging Amy enough to break her from her stupor. "Shut it, McLean! I'm not scared of anything, watch!" With no further warning, she pushed Sammy off, which in turn made the younger twin scream her heart out as she fell. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The shrill scream was enough to make everyone look down below, and watch how she luckily landed in the safe zone.
Amy returned to Chris with a smug smile on her face. "See?" Chris in turn smiled at her, for providing entertainment and drama. "Amy, as much as I love what you just did, you still have to jump. Or would you rather be a chicken?" As he said that, he pulled a chicken hat from behind him. Needless to say, it looked ridiculous.
When the camera shifted down below, Sammy was seen being helped by Alejandro and Bridgette into the boat, still, shell shocked about what her sister did.
Sammy - Confessional (2)
Sammy was hugging both of her legs as she rocked back and forth in the confessional, clearly agitated by her sister. "Amy…" Sammy put her head between her legs and cried softly.
Sammy - Confessional - End (2)
"Ugh, I already made Lamey dive, shouldn't that count for the both of us?" Amy asked back to Chris, not wanting to wear that disgusting hat. "Nope, them's the rules, Amy. You either jump or you chicken out."
LeShawna and Kitty, who were watching everything, exchanged similar looks. "Oh, I know this spoiled little princess thinks she can get away with pushing her sister and not jumping." LeShawna declared, clearly bothered by Amy's behavior since their arrival. "What should we do? Should we tell the others?" LeShawna grinned but shook her head. "Don't worry, I got this."
As Amy and Chris were bickering back and forth, LeShawna appeared in front of the cheerleader. "What's taking so long, blondie? You gon' jump or what?"
"Oh, yes, I will. Don't worry." Amy forced a smile on her face. Steeling her nerves, she looked at her teammates and dived screaming her lungs out, just as her sister did. She, however, did not land in the safe zone, so she scrambled to reach the boat. "AHHH, SOMEONE HELP ME!"
Amy - Confessional (2)
A completely distressed Amy, filled with small injuries and disheveled stared at the camera. "Look, as much as I hate Samey, I'm still here to win the prize. So putting a huge target on my back on day 1 isn't a good strategy." Amy filled her nails, despite her appearance. "So, I'll pretend to be this team player so I can get away Scot-free with bullying Samey." Amy finished with a smirk, pointing her nail filer to the camera.
Amy - Confessional - End (2)
Back on the cliff, LeShawna looked down the cliff and muttered to herself. "Damn, I did not think she could pull that off… Well, I'd look like a fool if I didn't jump now…" She looked back at Kitty and said. "I'll see you down there, girl. Wish me luck!"
"Good luck, LeShawna!" Kitty cheered her friend on, despite her fears of jumping. LeShawna readied herself and aimed as much as possible toward the target. Heaven forbid she didn't hit it.
As luck would have it, she managed to land just near the rim, but landed all the same, scoring her team their 6th point.
"And that's Gopher jumper #6! You guys are rocking out there!" Chris proudly exclaimed, honestly surprised some of them decided to jump. "Now, who's next?" The remaining Gophers, Kitty, Beth, Mickey, Shawn, and Trent, looked at each other. Shawn took a step forward, not wanting to be held as a chicken or lose the challenge. Besides, he'd done worse things when training for the apocalypse. "All right now, this is only somewhat worse than when grandma decided to sleepwalk naked. I can do it." Trent and Beth exchanged bewildered looks behind him and took a step back.
Running, Shawn took off and made a cannonball dive, hopefully hitting the safe zone. …he didn't, he landed on the outer ring, which, just like Amy, made him scramble for the boat.
Shawn - Confessional (2)
Shawn was similar to Sammy, rocking back and forth. "I found my 2nd worst fear."
Shawn - Confessional - End (2)
Beth - Confessional (1)
Beth was staring at the camera, completely dumbfounded. "So… Is no one gonna ask about what he just said before he jumped? No one? All right then."
Beth - Confessional - End (1)
"So… who wants to jump next?" Trent asked, looking at the three others. "Anyone?" He tried again, clearly wanting to get this over with. "What if we both jump at the same time?" Trent turned to look and saw Kitty offering it with a smile on her face. "If we made something scary look fun, maybe we could get the challenge done faster!" Kitty explained her reasoning, while Trent looked surprised at the suggestion.
"Yo, Chris, are we allowed to jump more than one person at a time?" Kitty asked to make sure they weren't breaking any unspoken rules. Chris thought for a second but gave her a thumbs up. "Awesome! Let's go!" Kitty proceeded to grab Trent's hand before he could even agree to the plan, dragging him along to jump. "WAIT!" But before any more protests could come out of his mouth, they were both being dragged down by gravity, but still holding hands. Kitty held a massive grin on her face, while Trent looked scared shitless.
Kitty - Confessional (1)
Kitty is seen staring at the floor and blushing. "Whenever I'm around cute guys I get nervous and make rash decisions. WHY DID I DECIDE IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO GRAB HIS HAND AND JUMP TOGETHER?!" She then surged forward looking mortified. "What if he hates me now? What if he thinks I'm weird? Oh my God, I just blew my chances with him!" As Kitty dissociated, she kept muttering the same mantra.
Kitty - Confessional - End (1)
Trent - Confessional (1)
"You know, I was not expecting that from Kitty. Can't say I disliked it though." Trent flashed a smile to the camera. "And she is pretty cute…"
Trent - Confessional - End (1)
"Woah, that was awesome! And the Gophers scored 9 points [2] so far! Will the Bass be able to overcome that? Or are they… grilled?" Chris teased the Bass that stood on the cliff.
"It is more common to fry bass in dishes, so you're technically-" Cameron was about to correct Chris, but the latter was having none of it. "Shut it, bubble boy, before I decide to punish your team for breaking a rule." Chris threatened, making Cameron shrink into his group, under their glares directed at him.
"Hey, you can't punish our group for correcting you! That's against the rules!" Courtney stepped in front of Cameron, both to protect him and to question Chris' bending of the rules. "I have free reign in the game, so what I say goes. So, unless Miss C.I.T and Bubble Boy wanna cost their team the win, you should step back and let me host the game." Chris offered a sardonic smile towards Courtney, knowing she could do nothing but glower.
Chris - Confessional (1)
Chris was surprisingly sitting in the confessional, with a shit-eating grin on his face. "A can't bend the rules as I want, that'd be a bad decision and would warrant suing the show. However, nothing says I can't lie to them about it."
Chris - Confessional - End (1)
Back at the Gophers, Mickey and Beth stood by each other, not truly knowing what to do. The former was scared to death of jumping, despite seeing everyone else do it, he knew it was only a matter of time before his bad luck struck. And the latter was not gonna do it at all since the chances of the Basses all jumping was far too slim.
"Chris, I can't do it, I won't jump… I'm sorry everyone, I can't do it!" Beth screamed the last bit to her beached teammates, which mostly looked at her with disappointment on their faces.
"And we have our first crossbreed of chicken and gopher!" Chris put the humiliating chicken hat on Beth's head, who blushed from being in that position.
Beth - Confessional (2)
Sniffing quietly, Beth looked up at the camera with bloodshot eyes. "I hope my team won't kick me off in case we lose…" She cried a little more. "I know I can be useful, I just wish there was something that drove me forward…"
Beth - Confessional - End (2
As Mickey stood by himself, he peered down below. Looking towards the beach, he locked eyes with Brick, who gave him a thumbs up, silently encouraging him to jump. "OK, they're all counting on you, Mickey… If Jay were here, he'd hold your hand and dive with you…" Mickey began to walk back, trying to create some distance so he could run. "All right, all I need-" But before he could finish muttering, someone approached him from behind and whispered something in his ear.
?: You know, it is a pretty big fall. I wonder how your body would hold up after several years of intense injuries. At some point, your body just won't be able to take it… Just food for thought…" And before Mickey could stop being petrified, the person who whispered that backed off and joined the remaining campers. Mickey was now truly scared and all his resolve died down. "Chris, I-I can't do it… I'm sorry everyone…" As he put on the chicken hat and took down the stairs, all he could do was wonder who spoke to him. All he knew it's that it was a girl who spoke that.
Mickey - Confessional (1)
"I really need to work on my self-doubts. What's even the point of coming here to Total Drama if I'm chickening out on the first challenge…" Mickey looked downcast as he spoke. "I just need to get away from whoever said that."
Mickey - Confessional - End (1)
Cameron - Confessional (1)
Cameron was seen pondering in the confessional, clearly taken back by what he witnessed. "I wonder, what did she do there… At one point he was ready to jump, but she said something to him, and suddenly he chickened out?! But why?" Cameron exclaimed, caught off guard by the sudden turn of events.
Cameron - Confessional - End (1)
"Well, that makes it 9 jumpers for the Gophers and 2 chickens. Bass, if you can outdo their number of jumpers, I'll give you guys these sweet carts to pull the crates to the camp. If you don't, then the Gophers will get it." Chris explained as the image of a cart with crates on top of it was shown.
"Yup, just as Devin suggested. We really can't afford to lose the cart." Courtney spoke to Scarlett. "Don't worry, I have my ways to get things done."
"All right, so which of us is going first? Harold? Sam?" Devin asked the two geeks, who were already in cahoots for the greater part of the challenge. "Uh, I guess I can go first. I would jump anyway, so may as well." Harold declared, surprising his fellow geek at his semblance.
"Here goes nothing!" Harold jumped towards the safe area and luckily hit it, but nothing without belly-flopping, which prompted a recoil from the others. "Oof, that gotta hurt…" Tammy said, looking down below. "I hope you're OK, Harold!" Harold weakly raised his thumbs up to indicate he was dandy. "Who's up next?" Courtney scanned her team.
Dawn calmly raised her hand and took a few steps toward the cliff. "I'll go and prove to the others there's nothing to be feared from jumping, whether it's inside or outside the safe area." She spoke with a serene voice, as Crimson walked behind her. "Crimson, I'll wait for you down there, don't dilly dally, haha." Dawn softly laughed at her friend, who simply stared down at her new friend and slowly nodded her head.
"Here goes nothing." Dawn took a simple dive from the cliff, but she missed the target area by a far shot. As she rose from the water, the sharks began approaching her, but rather than biting at her, they all stood in front of her. "Hello, friends. I hope jumping here isn't too much of a bother to you." As she said that, she began petting one of them near the nose.
From the view of the beach people, all they could see was Dawn riding on top of one of the sharks as she approached the beach, which astonished every single one of them. As she got off, she spoke to the shark once again. "Thank you, little one. I hope you have a great rest of the day." As she turned to look at the other campers, they all gave her an incredulous look and backed away a bit.
Dawn - Confessional (1)
"I never understood why some people are so scared of animals. So long you respect them, they won't do a thing to you. Look at these little ones, for example." The camera showed all the black flies that usually fly around the outhouse confessional sitting perfectly still in her arm. "C'mon, just like we trained." All of the flies began flying up and did several movements that seemed to belong to synchronized swimming classes. Dawn giggled at the flies' show. "We practiced this all morning."
Dawn - Confessional - End (1)
Bridgette - Confessional (1)
"You know? I love animals too, but I think riding sharks is a first." Bridgette explained with a raised eyebrow. "Well, I guess it beats grabbing bugs with her hands."
Bridgette - Confessional - End (1)
Soon after, Crimson jumped too, but unlike any others, she fell down completely silent, staring ahead. She, much like her friend, did not land in the safe zone. As the sharks approached, she finally emerged from the water, all her makeup was runny and made it seem like her face was melting away. The sharks in fear of whatever the hell that was swam away hurriedly, leaving Crimson to be picked up by the boat.
Crimson - Confessional (1)
Crimson appeared with a sack of paper on her face, covering her actual face since her makeup was washed off. "I knew I should have bought the waterproof makeup kit…" Shaking her head, she began to rummage through her makeup bag.
Crimson - Confessional (1)
Chris watching from above laughed his ass off. "Man, the teens being scared of the sharks is par for the course, but the other way around?" He cackled again, holding his gut to not bend over. "Oh, this cast is something else." As he finally settled down, he directed toward the other Bass. "Bass, you're up 3 so far. Better make sure you don't tie or anything."
Next, a few of the Bass were shown jumping back to back in the following order. Geoff, Devin, Tammy (playing her ocarina), and Owen. All landed in the safe area, aside from Tammy. In her case, she was still playing her ocarina, which soothed the sharks so much that they left her alone.
Scarlett, Courtney, Cameron, and Sam all stood near each other. The redhead brainiac looked at Courtney in expectation. "Well, Courtney, are you going to jump?" She raised an eyebrow at her friend.
The brunette looked down below and gulped. "In normal situations, you wouldn't catch me dead doing this, but I refuse to lose this challenge!" She took off and dove straight toward the middle of the safe area. "Woohoo, I made it!" She rose from the water and swam towards the boat.
Cameron looked towards Scarlett and Sam, but before he could say anything, Scarlett interrupted him. "You are both going to jump. I do not care if you don't want to, but we are not going to lose because of your pointless fears." Scarlett threatened with a directed glare at both of them. "Now, either you do this, or in case we lose, it's your funeral. Make your choice."
Cameron - Confessional (2)
"Scarlett can be… really, really scary when she wants to." Cameron was the third camper to rock back and forth in this episode.
Cameron - Confessional - End (2)
Scarlett - Confessional (2)
"Normally, I wouldn't put such a big pressure on them, but losing numbers in the first challenge means we'll have fewer chances of winning the next challenges, so we must keep the winning streak going," Scarlett noted with a smug smile on her face.
Scarlett - Confessional - End (2)
"Well… I guess I don't have any other option…" Cameron gulped and looked back at his other 2 bespectacled teammates. "Momma, I'm sorry if you're watching this. AHHHH!" He finally jumped, but before he could even rationalize what was going on, he was already screaming and apologizing to his mother. He luckily hit the safe area, so he whooped in joy for being able to complete the challenge, even if he needed Scarlett's murderous glare directed at him.
Back at the cliff, Chris pulled his megaphone and announced to all campers. "Seems like the Bass are tied to the Gophers, but still have 2 more jumpers available. To spice things up, if not all Bass jump, neither team gets a cart!" Chris continued with an evil grin towards the remaining Bass who glared at him.
"That is not fair, Christopher. You said we only needed to have more jumpers, not this." Scarlett growled at him.
"That's just how the cookie crumbles, Scar. Get to it or be prepared to face your teammates' fury for not winning the first challenge." Chris offered a mock smile to the brainiac.
"Whatever. Sam, if you don't jump, it's yours that is on the line. Analyze this information carefully and decide." Scarlett warned the geek as she began calculating the position and velocity in which she needed to dive to be safe. She took 3 steps right and 1 back. She finally dove towards the safe area and managed to hit a smack dab in the middle of the zone.
Scarlett - Confessional (3)
"I know I said I would be waiting until everyone else jumped, but either outcome favors my team," Scarlett explained as she dried her hair off. "If Sam jumps, we'll have the advantage and have a higher chance to win. If he doesn't, then we'll have a prime target to vote off. It's a win-win situation since he's a weak asset and expandable."
Scarlett - Confessional - End (3)
"Well, I guess I need to go next, hehe." Sam said, laughing dryly at his situation. "C'mon, Sam. Can't disappoint the others." As he looked down, it felt like the cliff grew 100 ft. taller.
Sam - Confessional (1)
"Look… I know I'm not gonna win this game, but I came here expecting to at least last a few weeks before being booted off, and also because my parents evacuated me from their basement…" Sam went from being neutral to downcast. "But I still wanna be here for longer than the first week. I like some of the people from my team, so I refuse to be eliminated first!"
Sam - Confessional - End (1)
With newfound confidence, Sam barrelled past Chris and took a huge dive off the cliff. As he expected he managed to land, but he hit one of the sharks. The poor thing got knocked out as he laughed and apologized. Before the boat arrived, the remaining sharks zoned in on him and sought out revenge for their fallen brethren.
"WOOHOO! I DID IT, I JUMPED!" Sam, of course, swam away as fast as possible comically. All of the Killer Bass on the beach for him, effectively winning the first half of the challenge for the team.
Back on the cliff, Chris pulls his megaphone a last time, ready to announce the next part of the challenge. "And in a surprising turn of events all Bass jumped! Which means they'll get this sweet cart to pull the creates. Gophers, really disappointed in you. Stay there on the beach and I'll give you guys the next instruction."
Brick - Confessional (1)
ally expected Mickey to jump, but he seemed sure after I encouraged him. I wonder what happened for him to suddenly give up." Brick wondered to himself. "I hope that is something we can work on, he needs the boost, otherwise he could be seen as a liability by the others…"
Brick - Confessional - End (1)
"Killer Bass, here you go." Chris stood at the beach near all of the campers, with 4 carts and 14 crates behind him, 7 for each team. "Make good use of these and reach the camp, capiche?" The Bass moved out to distribute the carts and crates among them. "Gophers, it sucks to be you. You'll need to push the crates to the camp." As he said that, most of the Gophers glared at Beth and Mickey for not jumping, making the two of them recoil in fear of being ostracized.
"Devin, Geoff, and Owen seem to be strong enough to carry some of the crates by yourselves, so each takes a crate and carries it. The rest of us will make pairs and pull the carts together. Any objections?" Scarlett honed in on the Bass, waiting to see if anyone had any other idea. "Good, then the pairs are as follows: Courtney and me, Sam and Cameron, Harold and Tammy, and Crimson and Dawn. Move out, team." As she said that, all of the Bass ran toward their respective crates and carts to begin the challenge.
On the Gopher's side, things were a little messier.
"Great, I hope you two are happy. If I get a splinter from pushing these stupid crates, I'm so voting you off." Amy glared at Beth and Mickey. "All right, girl. Easy now, let's push the crates first then admit defeat." LeShawna declared.
LeShawna - Confessional (1)
"While I dislike Amy's behavior towards her sister and her harshness, I can't say I disagree. Pushing these crates with our hands sucks, and I hope we don't lose, or we'll be kicking off one of those two string beans." LeShawna said with a forlorn look.
LeShawna - Confessional - End (1)
Alejandro, seeing the conundrum, stepped up. "Ladies, let us divide the crates equally so no one gets overburdened. Counting myself, we have two others that can probably handle a crate by ourselves, so the remaining ones should group up. LeShawna, Brick, we can all push a crate by ourselves, right?" Alejandro asked the two, who nodded in agreement and took care of a crate themselves.
The rest of the Gophers scurried off to form pairs. No one wanted to be stuck besides Mickey and Beth, lest they wanted to be associated with their chicken hats, but they couldn't be let together to push a crate, given how physically unfit they both are. The remaining teams decided to split themselves as follows: Shawn and Mickey, Trent and Beth, Kitty and Bridgette, and Amy and Sammy, much to the last pair's annoyance.
A quick shot shows the Killer Bass all happily dragging the carts and crates by themselves, humming a catchy tune as they went. Even the stoic Crimson was humming to the tune while wearing a sack of paper in her head.
Tammy, who was helping Harold push the crate, decided to come next to Crimson while they took a small break. "Hello, friend. I wonder what made you decide to wear this on your head. Surely you are more beautiful than you can even fathom!" Tammy tried to inspire Crimson, while Dawn watched with a small, raised brow. Crimson shrugged and slightly lifted the paper bag that was covering her face, showing whatever was underneath to Tammy, but she was turned away from the cameras, so it wasn't caught. Tammy's face went from happy and calm to horrified and fearful in the seconds Crimson had shown what was beneath the bag.
Tammy turned on her feet, and without a single word, walked back towards her crate, appalled and deeply terrified by what she had seen. Crimson shared a look with Dawn and pulled the bag back. Soon, they were off again, but this time with a deeply horrified Tammy.
Crimson - Confessional (2)
Crimson was once again with the paper bag in her head. "She asked for it." The goth declared with her usual monotone.
Crimson - Confessional - End (2)
Tammy - Confessional (1)
Tammy was staring at the camera, still shocked. So shocked, a black fly entered inside her mouth and went out from her nose without her so much as moving an inch. "Some things… they weren't meant to be seen by human eyes…"
Tammy - Confessional - End (1)
The Gophers were shown having some trouble pushing the crates, but steady progress is better than no progress. However, some of the more physically weak campers were starting to tire out. Jumping off of a cliff, swimming to then pushing crates is no easy feat for most.
"Are we getting close? My feet are killing me…" Kitty complained to no one in particular. Trent, who was helping Beth push a crate, came close to her when they decided to take a break. "Hey, you alright? I kinda forgot to thank you for pulling me along on the jump." Trent remarked, feeling slightly bashful. "You… you liked it? I thought for sure you'd think I was crazy, haha." Kitty replied, clearly confused at Trent's response. "A little cuckoo, sure. But at the end of the day, it was fun." Kitty blushed and went back to her crate after saying goodbye to Trent.
Bridgette came near her and commented on the interaction. "So… you and Trent jumped holding hands, aye? lly surprised we have some cool guys on the island." Bridgette commented when they began pushing the crates again. Kitty, baffled at the first statement, decided to ignore it. "I guess, yeah. I honestly expected some sort of pervert or something, what with being stuck with 11 girls for 8 weeks and such. I'm kinda glad." Kitty finished with a smile. Unknown to her, Alejandro heard their conversation despite being somewhat far from them.
Alejandro - Confessional (2)
"Now, I'd normally be enacting a plan on my teammates, but since it's so early, I can't afford to blow it. I'll stay low." Alejandro started, rubbing his chin. "That doesn't mean I'll fade into the background, however." He concluded with a smirk.
Alejandro - Confessional - End (2)
Alejandro, who was near Brick, decided to strike up a conversation when LeShawna had fallen back a bit. "So, Brick. Care to elaborate on how you behaved after you jumped? Surely a soldier is used to dangerous situations, no?" The casanova explained in false sympathy. "Well… I guess I was just a bit shell-shocked at doing something like that on my own, you know? Back at the training course, I was used to receiving orders from the chain of command, so suddenly doing these things on my own felt… different." The cadet finished, truly showing his feelings to his teammate.
"I see. You're feeling out of your element. Nothing wrong with that. Here, how about we do this: Next time we have a challenge and we have to act singularly, just stick to me. I'll show you the ropes. You saw how I acted just now, directing everyone to their positions, right?" Alejandro asked, fixing Brick with a knowing look. The cadet thought for a while and nodded, clearly happy about being understood, and offered an apparent friendly shoulder. "You got it, sarge! Sir, yes, sir!" The cadet saluted him for a moment but quickly carried on with pushing the crate.
Brick - Confessional (2)
Brick appeared with a huge smile on his face. "I did not imagine I was going to find someone so nice as Alejandro! I was prepared to face schemers, backstabbers, and all kinds of immoral people, but someone as kind as he?" Brick, blissfully unaware of his situation, spoke.
Brick - Confessional - End (2)
Alejandro - Confessional (3)
"Like taking candy from a baby." Alejandro smirked.
Alejandro - Confessional - End (3)
The Bass were once again shown walking with their carts and crates when Sam suddenly caught their attention with his shouting. "Look! There are the campgrounds! We've made it!" The geek exclaimed happily.
All of the Bass were happy about finally being able to take a proper rest, but Chris popped up on the scene. "Bass, congratulations for arriving first! Now, for the next part of the challenge, you'll need to open the crates with the instructions and materials for the hot tub. There's a catch, however. You cannot use your hands to open them, nor any actual tools. Get creative, people." Chris smirked and walked off. "Oh, and don't bother warning the Gophers, I already sent Chef out there to warn them."
Chef - Confessional (1)
Chef appeared, grumbling. "Do I look like an errand boy?! McLean better stop playing God with the interns and stop sending them to meet the pearly gates!" Chef fumed at the prospect of doing small, menial tasks for eight weeks.
Chef - Confessional - End (1)
"All right, team. Building a hot tub should be easy enough, considering we have some real tech people on the team. So, Cameron, Scarlett, and Harold are in charge of managing the project, Owen, Sam, Geoff, and Devin will open the crates and do the main building. Crimson and Dawn will grab buckets of water. Tammy and I will clean up as you guys work on it. Any questions?" Courtney quickly explained her idea to her team, smiling at their agreement. "Good, let's move out."
Courtney - Confessional (2)
"I know some people may think of me as… overbearing, when I take the lead, but it comes so naturally to me, I can't help it. At least the team recognizes we need some leadership, so Scarlett and I can do the heavy lifting in that area. I guess it also helps that a lot of the people in our team are also pretty nice when it comes to these things." Courtney smiled at the prospect of the team listening to her.
Courtney - Confessional - End (2)
As the Bass were ready to build, the Gophers finally arrived at the beach, all exhausted from the continuous physical strain. "Oh thank God we've arrived. I think I was about to pass out." Sammy commented to Amy. Her twin sister, for once, didn't snark at her. "You got that one right. The last time we had to endure this much was when we cheered at Florida. Man, the Toros and Clovers rocked us… [3]" Amy remarked, fond of the memories.
While they stopped for a breather, they began discussing what should happen next. "All right, is anyone here know about engineering and such?" Alejandro asked. Shawn meekly raised his hand. "Uh, I've built some things beforehand, nothing as serious as a hot tub. But if we have a blueprint, it shouldn't be that hard, I guess?" Shawn asked, uncertain of his own words.
Some of the members looked at each other in doubt, but since they all lacked any sort of similar knowledge, they agreed to help Shawn's construction.
A series of cut images and scenes from the show were shown next, given the amount of time was not nearly enough to show the actual building of the tub. Some notable scenes were added due to comical purposes.
Owen finally managed to open his crate, by headbutting it, making a hollow sound when it hit the wood. Whether it was due to the box or his head, the audience couldn't decipher.
Geoff and Devin were shown hurling a crate straight up, and quickly scurrying off. Cameron, however, was not so lucky. The crate smashed the poor bubble boy into the ground and both jocks recoiled from the scene.
LeShawna and Amy were seen fighting for a tool in the opened crate before it was flung toward Sammy, who barely dodged it.
Harold poked around the heater and its plug, receiving an electrical shock from the faulty device.
Shawn was shown giving orders left and right, before he realized the blueprint was upside down and hurriedly switched it back, before anyone else noticed.
After the shots, both teams were shown tired of the continuous strain, but proud of finishing the task. The Bass, and the vast majority of the Gophers, were confused at what the latter's tub was supposed to be but waited for Chris to arrive and judge them all the same.
"Campers, I must say. You took way less time building these tubs than actually doing the other parts of the challenge. Kudos to you!" Chris said with a gleeful tone. "Now, to the judging part." He grabbed a clipboard from behind himself and went towards the Bass' tub. It was a regular-looking tub, pretty nice and spot on. With 3 really smart tech people, it was only fair they did well. Chris nodded at every glance he made, appraising it well. "Nicely done, Bass. This is a superb tub." Then, he finally headed for the Gopher's one.
There stood a bathtub that looked more like an actual skull-shaped hot tub, with barbed wire around its rim and some zombie head sculptures at its corners. "Gophers, can I ask what the heck is this?"
Shawn - Confessional (3)
"OK, maybe the barbed wire and zombie's heads were a bit too much, but I did say I wasn't a pro, so they can't blame me!" Shawn defended himself. "Although I gotta admit, I was not expecting it to look as cool as that. I hope Chris lets us keep it."
Shawn - Confessional - End (3)
"You know, maybe we should have stopped and asked what that white boy was doing midway through. We can't all blame him." LeShawna commented with her team, receiving some nods in response. After all, they could very well have chosen someone else to design it. They just all knew they were hopeless in that department.
"Yeah… I gotta say, it looks cool, but in a "Zombie Nerd" type of cool, which is something we're not looking for here. Sorry, Gophers. Sick tube, but this won't do." Chris shrugged and went towards the Bass. "This, however, means the Killer Bass are the winners of the first challenge! And as an added reward, you'll get to rock a hot tub party tonight! Enjoy!" As he finished announcing their victory, the Bass all cheered alongside each other, clearly happy about the outcome. "Gophers, meet me at the clearing at 7 pm sharp. We'll host the first-ever elimination, and one of you will say bye-bye at their chance of winning the cash." The Gophers all looked downcast as they trudged along.
The next shot showed all of the campers in the mess hall, begrudgingly eating the nasty food given to them, and yet, it was better than nothing for such a long day. There was a tense silence surrounding the Gophers, no one wanting to talk about the elephant in the room, but Trent figured it was better than nothing.
"So… Since no one else is saying anything, I may as well do it. Who are we voting for?" The musician asked, yet some of the campers still gasped, as if the topic was taboo. "We do have to vote for someone, just saying."
"Well, while I don't like pointing fingers, we have 2 people that failed to help us receive the advantage, and someone else who botched the challenge for us." Alejandro pointed out, appearing forlorn.
Beth, Mickey, and Shawn all gulped knowing they were on the chopping block. All three started saying why they should stay, but LeShawna was having none of it. "Yo, chill you three. How about we do this: We all vote for who we want, rather than choosing a target? That way, no one has to openly declare their vote and cause more arguments to break out."
Amy rolled her eyes but ultimately agreed. "Yeah, as much as it's annoying to lose, the last thing we need as a group is to break into several, small cliques and lose challenges for not being united." As she said that, some of the campers looked at the bratty teen in a new light, clearly not used to seeing her being… sensitive? "Stop staring." Amy ducked her head.
Kitty - Confessional (2)
"It's really sad, I like most of the people in our team, so having to vote off someone? Yikes. Still, I know what I signed up for, so may as well evaluate my choices." Kitty finished. "I just hope it isn't me, hehe…" Chuckling nervously, she fidgeted. "Is it bad that I'm glad it's not me?"
Kitty - Confessional - End (2)
"Well, I'm off to do some meditation. Ladies, excuse me." Alejandro offered with a charming smile, making Bridgette, Amy, and Sammy all blush. "Wow, he meditates? And here I thought he couldn't get any hotter…" Bridgette dreamingly stated. Geoff saw the scene play out from the other table, and for a brief moment wanted to go talk to her, but remembering Scarlett's words, he decided to stop himself.
Geoff - Confessional (2)
"Aw man, I can't let my infatuation towards a girl that isn't even on my team get me sidetracked. I need to get my head on the game!" Geoff confessed with confidence. "No more nice guy!"
Geoff - Confessional - End (2)
The next shot showed all Gophers sitting at the stumps that were shown in the previous episode, nighttime had started and the sky was filled with stars. Despite the beautiful scenery, most campers were only looking forward to going back safe and sound. Most of them wsly lax, given the circumstances of the challenge. Some others? Well, let's just say they were almost breaking out in hives.
Chris started as the cameras focused on him. "Screaming Gophers, at camp, marshmallows represent a tasty treat that you'll enjoy roasting by the fire. At this camp, marshmallows represent life." A shot showed all campers with different expressions staring at the sweets. "You've all cast your votes and made your decision. There are only ten marshmallows on this plate. When I call your name, come up and claim your marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow tonight must immediately return to the dock of shame, to catch the boat of losers." As Chris continued with his monologue, the crummy boat was shown, waiting for its to-be-ex-camper to board. "That means you're out of the contest. And you can't come back. Ever~. The first marshmallow goes to… LeShawna." The girl got up with a smile on her face and impaled her marshmallow on a stick.
"Brick." The cadet ran for his treat. "Trent." The musician got up and joined the other 2. "Kitty." She sighed in relief and grabbed hers, shining Trent a small smile due to them both being safe. "Alejandro." The casanova grinned and got his. "Bridgette." She smiled and got up too.
"Now, the rest of you five. You all got at least one vote from your peers… Some, more than others. The next one goes to Samey." The cheerleader released a nervous breath and thanked God for not letting herself be booted first. Amy, on the other hand, was enraged, most likely for not receiving her marshmallow before Sammy. "Amy." The twin unknowingly stopped tensing. Even if she didn't think she'd leave, she was still scared they'd hold her for her actions in the past episodes. "Now, you three all have reasons to be voted off. Beth, you refused to jump and aided in costing your team the advantage. Mickey, you did that too, but at least it seemed like you wanted to try. Not like "wanting" helped much. And Shawn, your design solidified the loss of your team. Which one of you shall be eliminated?"
All of the cited campers looked nervous, while the remaining campers were expecting their voting result in something. "And the penultimate marshmallow goes to… Shawn."
The zombie nutcase got up and grabbed his sweet hurriedly, almost fearing Chris denying him it. Beth and Mickey exchanged nervous looks, not wanting to admit they wanted to see the other being booted off. After all, better them than you.
"And the last marshmallow of the night goes to…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
Mickey!"
The skinny boy whooped in joy and ran to get his sweet, completely disregarding Beth's sadness.
"Aw… I should have expected that…" Beth started. "But still, it was fun hanging out with you, even if you voted me off. Good luck, you guys. I hope one of you wins." Despite being voted off, Beth didn't hold any grudges. It's not like she wasn't to be blamed for their loss.
Some of the more sympathetic campers bid her goodbye, clearly feeling bad for seeing someone being voted off, but nothing they can do. Chris popped up back into the frame. "And the first elimination of the show is Beth, the sweet farm girl. Can't say I hadn't seen that coming, she barely even did much [4] these two episodes." Chris grinned and whispered the last part.
As she trudged along, she looked back one last time, not wanting to admit her misdoing. That one she'd take to the end.
Mickey - Confessional (2)
"I can't believe they let me stay! I just need to prove I'm not a liability. My fear of… pretty much anything is a hindrance, but I can still do… something." Mickey wondered to himself: 'what could he do?' "Maybe I should take up to Brick. He was nice when we met each other.
Mickey - Confessional - End (2)
After Beth embarked on the boat, the remaining Gophers went back towards their cabin looking downcast. Their chances of winning dwindle by losing numbers, of course. As they were walking by the cabins, they saw the Bass all cheering and having fun at their hot tub.
Devin, Owen, and Tammy were all dancing in front of it, wearing their swimsuits. "Go Bass! Go Bass! Go Bass!" Scarlett took another look at them and decided to call it for tonight. She had some annotations to write and ponder over.
Scarlett - Confessional (4)
Scarlett was shown with a clipboard and a pen above her ear. "All right, after today's challenge, I made a quick list regarding how valuable my teammates are, and how expandable they are, too." She then proceeded to recite what she wrote.
Useful:
Courtney: good team leader, organized, and smart enough to keep up with me.
Devin: athletic, competitive and pays attention to details.
Cameron: is also smart, yet he lacks confidence and real-life smarts.
Can work with:
Geoff: athletic, maintains a good "synergy" in the group. Lacks intelligence.
Dawn: has some connection to animals, which may prove useful for future challenges. However, she babbles on about "auras" and such, so she may be a lunatic.
Crimson: serious and quiet, she at least follows orders rather than questions them.
Mostly expandable:
Harold: also possesses intelligence, but he uses it for most pointless things.
Owen: has some strength, yet is a disgusting oaf.
Tammy: shows signs of dissociation, given she's obsessed with her little roleplaying games.
Sam: similar to Tammy, he doesn't provide much outside of a meat shield. Least useful member."
"Well, as you can see, I have quite some work to do if I plan on carrying this team to the eventual merge. However, should we lose a challenge, I should have some ways to get things back on track." She fixed her glasses and smirked at the camera. "Now all I need is to gather intel, and I can calculate my odds of winning, anisho are my biggest threats. They won't even know what hit them."
Scarlett - Confessional - End (4)
Cue the ending scenes.
Votes for the ceremony:
Alejandro: "Hm, it is a tough choice, but between the weird farm girl and the walking toothpick, I prefer my chances with Beth. At least she isn't scared of her own shadow. I vote for Mickey."
Amy: "She probably isn't going home, but I'm still voting for Samey."
Beth: "I think I'll vote for Shawn. At the end of the day, it was his design that cost us the challenge. Not like getting the carts would have saved us."
Brick: "I still see potential in Mickey, and Shawn was put in a tough spot. It's not like anyone else had a better idea. Sorry, Beth, but this cadet is only thinking for the good of the team."
Bridgette: "My vote goes for Shawn. Even if Beth and Mickey didn't jump, at the end of the day it was his design that lost us the challenge."
Kitty: "I'll vote for Mickey. I have a feeling something not great will happen to him if he stays much longer."
LeShawna: "I'm voting for Beth. Mickey at least attempted to jump, and I kinda feel bad voting for her, but them's the breaks."
Mickey: "I know there's a high chance I'll be eliminated, so I'm sorry, Beth. I'm voting for you. I just hope the others see something in me that can help them in the future."
Sammy: "I'm voting for Amy. She pushed me off a freaking cliff. That has gotta be punishable by law."
Shawn: "Yikes, I hope the team doesn't oust me. I'm voting for Mickey. Hopefully, he warrants enough votes to keep me in the game."
Trent: "This is a tough one. Despite being paired with Beth, I really couldn't take my eyes off her hat. Especially since she complained all the time about how long it took to move the crates. It was pretty hypocritical of her."
Amy (1): Sammy
Beth (4): Brick, LeShawna, Mickey, and Trent
Mickey (3): Alejandro, Kitty, and Shawn
Sammy (1): Amy
Shawn (2): Beth, Bridgette
Contestants:
Screaming Gophers: Alejandro, Amy, Brick, Bridgette, Kitty, LeShawna, Mickey, Sammy, Shawn, and Trent (10/11)
Killer Bass: Cameron, Courtney, Crimson, Dawn, Devin, Geoff, Harold, Owen, Sam, Scarlett, and Tammy (11/11)
Rank of Elimination:
22nd: Beth - The Wannabe
So! I hope you guys have enjoyed it! I tried my best to make the person who got voted off at least slightly confusing, given there were three people who did not contribute as much! I wonder who spoke to Mickey... I'm sorry to all of you Beth fans, by the way. I couldn't think of anything I could write her with, since she starts as an underdog who needs someone telling her what to do. She'd have been voted off way sooner had Heather not intervened, I believe.
Also, what are your predictions for the next elimination? I like reading them, so if you could kindly post them in your review, I'd appreciate it! Ciao!
[1]: I enjoyed some of Harold's references in TDA, so I felt appropriate!
[2]: I swear this was not intentional. Next time, I'll make sure he isn't the 9th of anything, FFS. LOL.
[3]: 'Bring It On!' was part of my childhood, so I had to sneak it in as a reference, haha.
[4]: ...Yeah... This was a jab towards myself since she didn't even do much... Sorry!
