ADAS KALLIG

Apparently I could.

Well, not exactly. After everyone stopped freaking out, they decided to take me with them for questioning, declaring me their captive. Not ideal, but I had to leave this planet somehow and I'm confident I will be able to eventually gain their trust with my witty humor and charming personality. Or I will just escape and steal one of their ships.

It might take some time though, as I am currently locked in a holding cell, constantly guarded by ten silent soldiers. I decided to stay there willingly, as fighting would be counter-productive at the moment. It's not like this cell would stop me, so I can get out whenever I want. For now I decided to just stay inside the cell and wait for the ship to reach its destination, preferably some civilized world, full of naive idiots ready to become my minions.

I want to say that putting me in the cell was unnecessary, but such an action was meant by Anakin to show his superiority to all his subordinates. Giving me personal quarters wouldn't look good, as empire soldiers need to know that their superiors are ruthless and merciless..

And they are from the empire, no matter what they say.

During our journey to the group's ship, the only one who would talk to me was the Togruta girl, apparently named Ahsoka Tano. She tried to convince me that they are not part of the empire, constantly saying that they are Jedi and members of the republic and their job is to protect the galaxy. She sounded very honest, but just one short conversation with her was enough to show clearly how false her claims were.

"So you fight against a group of planetary systems that rebelled against you?"

"Yes, we didn't start this war. It was them who decided to attack the republic, plunging galaxy into the war, for the first time in millenia"

"And the confederacy was created because of the 'Republic's' corruption and its favouritism towards the core worlds, which lead to the abandonment of the worlds deemed 'less important'?"

"What? No! It's a gross oversimplification. It's true that there were some valid reasons, but..."

"And they are mostly made up of various alien races, led by the former jedi?"

"A sith, count Dooku is a sith!"

"I don't see how this matters. There is nothing wrong about being a sith. That's very racist of you."

"How is that racist?!"

Well, you argue that someone shouldn't have been in a position of power because of their race. If that's not racist I don't know what is! I will have you know that during my time as a sith lord I met many siths and they are not different from us. Just normal people with red skin and with tentacles on their face. You should learn to be more tolerant"

"...just stop."

"Okay, I will drop the subject, as I can see that it makes you uncomfortable."

"Thank you"

"No problem. So, if I understood you correctly, your soldiers are all clones of the mandalorian bounty Hunter, taught from birth to fight and die for their masters, unable to disobey orders? And they are modified to grow faster and die earlier than regular people, so they will only know war?"

"Aaaargh, I am done!"

It's obvious that the Sith are doing great, despite what Ahsoka would believe.

I don't even blame her, as she was probably gaslighted by Anakin to think of this empire as "the new republic" or something like that. I did a similar thing with Ashara, showing her good elements of the empire, like order and discipline, making her believe it was better than in reality. It didn't help that I was the first sith she had ever met, so her opinion about the typical sith was a little warped. I guess it's in grey jedi's nature to look for light even if there is none?

But as I am not a grey jedi but a sith, I won't be fooled, especially as they don't try very hard . It's hard to take their attempts seriously when after hours of listening to some nonsensical arguments about them being members of the republic you are welcomed by a familiar sight of harrower-class dreadnought, or at least a ship clearly inspired by its design. It was different from the ones in my era, yes, it didn't have a hangar in the front of the ship for starters. I can recognise the sith empire ship when I see it though, and this so called venator-class star destroyer is definitely of sith design.

As it's a sith ship, I guess I should feel lucky to end up in a holding cell instead of torture room. Here, I at least have a bed and toilet. Nothing else though. It was honestly quite boring, especially as my guards haven't spoken a word since coming here.

The thought of just exiting this cell was becoming more and more tempting with every minute. I would just have to destroy the cell, break the limbs of my guards and go to Anakin, demanding better accommodations.

I slowly raised my hand. Just one move and I would be free.

But before I did anything I felt Ahsoka getting close. She would probably get angry at me for breaking out, so I decided to abandon my immaculate plan in exchange for having a pleasant conversation with young togruta.

I didn't have to wait long before Ahsoka entered the room in which my holding cell was located.

"If it's not my favourite grey jedi. Did you decide to visit your favourite sith lord?" I welcomed her, while waving my hand. She was the only person on this ship with whom I had good relations so far, so being friendly wouldn't hurt. Her naivety and stubbornness did also make our conversations quite hilarious, so I liked talking with her.

"Like I said I am not..." She said, looking indignant. She didn't end the sentence though, as if deciding that arguing with me was worth her time and effort. Well, if she wants to lie to herself, who am I to stop her? "...it doesn't matter. I came here to tell you that we consulted the matter of your future with the Jedi council and you will be taken to Coruscant. You will then be judged so that masters can decide what to do with you."

Ignoring her delusions about the jedi council, I instead focused on our destination.

"Coruscant?" I said. "That's great. I never actually visited it before. There was never an opportunity for that" It was always too protected for me to attack it directly, as the republic didn't want the second "sacking of Coruscant' to happen.

"Now you have one," she replied with a smile. She then grimaced. "Not the best one, though"

"Don't worry about it" I waved my hand "It's always good to see new things, no matter the occasion"

She probably wanted to chat, as she didn't just leave after delivering the news, instead continuing our conversation. "It's probably hard for a sith to visit republic planets. Were you able to see some of them?"

"Yes, I even conquered some of them, like Correlia or Balmora. We quickly lost them though. Such a shame."

"Yes, a shame..." Said Ahsoka. What a sarcastic girl. How did she survive for so long while working with Anakin? It's a wonder he didn't snap her neck during one of his episodes. I found it relaxing however. It's so boring when people are so scared of you that they won't talk freely.

"I was even able to sack Tython once" I said with pride. Such a good memory. Killing all these jedi and destroying their temple was extremely relaxing, not to mention that I met my girlfriend during that mission. A perfect date: beautiful woman and hundreds of jedi corpses.

"Tython? Isn't it just a myth?" Asked Ahsoka. What? "supposedly It's been lost for millenia"

"It was the seat of the Jedi Order for years. It was also a planet where the jedi order was created. Are you saying that no one knows where it is?!"

Wait, you do?!" Ahsoka's eyes bulged, as if not comprehending what she was hearing. Did she forget I was thousands of years old?

What exactly happened after I vanished? Did Tython get destroyed or something? Was I so lucky for it to be the case? And if it still exists, should I let anyone find it?

Wait, since no one knows its location, I can just loot some temples and sell anything valuable on the black market. There is always some freak out there, lusting for an old jedi artifact. That way I will have enough funds quickly, allowing me to recruit some troops, maybe even buy a few ships. Perfect start for my power base.

"Hey! Are you listening to me?!" Ahsoka was saying something, but I didn't care. I was going to be Rich!
