ADAS KALLIG
After a month of various assassinations and sabotages, my job was done. Mobba became the official ruler of Nar Shaddaa, my cultists were happy and even more devout and I was in possession of the economic might of Nar Shaddaa.
Not bad for a simple trip.
To celebrate my victory, a grand feast was held in Mobba's palace. Officially it was in the name of Mobba, as he became a member of the hutt council, but we all knew the real reason.
The feast was great, the finest food and drinks taken from larders of all the hutt that tragically died in the last month. I'm sure they would be happy to know that their death wasn't in vain and their possessions made many people quite happy.
Most of my cultists were at first hesitant to eat the food, as they weren't used to eating anything other than what they would be able to find themselves. That changed the moment they took the first bite, starting to devour the food as fast as they could, almost choking on it. There was nothing to worry about though, as there was more than enough food for everyone, courtesy of the hutts who gave their lives for the cause.
Everyone's mood was high, overjoyed to finally be free from the hutt's shackles. They were disappointed at first after hearing that my plan was not just to slaughter all hutts, but after they saw that their lives improved, they got on board with it.
As for me, I was enjoying myself, leaning on my throne and looking at everyone from above. Two cultists were fanning me, while the third would bring me food and drinks whenever I was done with the previous one. The best thing was that I didn't even order them to do that, they decided to serve me on their own. My cultists actually fought among themselves for these positions!
On my side there was Leila, smiling with pride as she was the one to accompany me. Raksh was of course eating, ignoring everyone else and growling at everyone trying to come close to him.
At this moment I was content. There was still a lot to do, but for now I would just relax, and not think about the future.
My peace didn't last long though, as I spotted an unknown person walking in my direction. It wouldn't be too important, if not the fact that she looked different than every other person at the party.
She was wearing mandalorian armor, a grey one, with blue elements. I could feel she was armed, with two blasters on her hips, several grenades and various other weapons on her person. She didn't wear a helmet, keeping it in her hand, letting me see her face. She had red hair and a lean face. Her steps were confident as she was walking in my direction.
Some of my cultists tried to stop her, but I waved my hand. It's not like she would be able to hurt me and I was interested in what she wanted to say.
She stopped when she was two meters from my throne. She then looked at me confidently and spoke.
"Adas Kallig, I've been looking for you. My name is Bo-Katan '' she said with determination in her voice.
"And what does a mandalorian warrior want to discuss with me?" I asked.
It was an honest question. Mandalorians were often quite unpredictable. For all I knew she would try to kill me, trying to show her strength to her people or similar garbage. The unfortunate truth was that most of the mandalorians were not much better than animals, with their uncontrollable thirst for conquest and lust for glory.
"I am here on behalf of Pre Vizsla of Concordia. The House of Kallig and the house of Vizsla were considered allies in the past. The current head of the clan wants to reestablish these ties, to unite the sith and the mandalore once more" she declared.
OBI-WAN KENOBI
Obi-Wan was meditating in the middle of the night. He couldn't sleep, constantly troubled by current developments.
When he thought things couldn't be worse after the reveal of Palpatine, separatists decided to make them even more miserable by starting to swarm the galaxy with their droids, overwhelming already insufficient clone forces with their number.
He didn't know what was the reason for this change, but it was devastating, costing the republic numerous worlds, lost to the confederacy's greed. Because of that the senate was forced to pass new laws, to create a real republic military, as it was needed to stop the threat. It was suffocating, to know that even with all the jedi and clones, it was not enough and more lives would have to be taken.
He stirred when he felt the presence in the room. He opened his eyes, only to see master Yoda calmly watching him from the side.
"Master yoda! What are you doing here?!" He stood up quickly. He shouldn't be here! He was supposed to be in jail!
"Not much time we have, I am afraid" said Yoda. There was no way he would be freed so soon. Did he escape? "Only one thing has to be said. Our order needs to change" He said it with a serious voice, no sign of a lie in the voice. The weight of these words make Obi-Wan choke up.
He knew that the situation was bad, but maybe they would be able to prevail, just like every time before. But if the wisest person in the order said that...
"...What do you intend to do?" He asked. Yoda wouldn't escape the prison without the plan, especially in this situation. It was already certain he would become a wanted fugitive. They could maybe argue about the legalities of his actions before, but not anymore.
"Something unprecedented I intend to do" he smiled bitterly "Diplomacy I intend to use. We are able to work with green jedi of Corellia, but there are many other groups of force users we have ignored. Baran Do sages, Dagoyan order, even the mystics of Voss. To meet them I intend"
"Why would you do that?" They weren't dangerous for the balance of the force, but they cultivated traditions completely not compatible with the order. There was no reason to seek them out, especially now.
"Too far gone, for us to fix alone," he said, his voice full of sorrow. "Felt the Veil of the Dark Side, I did. And too weak to change it, I know we are. But we are not alone. Help we must gain from those uncorrupted by the Sith. Call a conclave of those strong in the force, I shall, first time in history. Together, somehow, may pierce the veil, and free the Galaxy from the Sith," he looked at Obi-wan pleadingly, as if afraid to hear him say no, "Trust you to lead the order, I can?"
It was mad. It was impossible. But he never saw Yoda so sure. And he didn't have a heart to tell him how hopeless his goal was, not when he didn't have a better alternative.
"...Yes, master Yoda. You can count on me" It was the only thing he was able to say. He would follow him, until the end. Yoda thanked him quietly and left the room, to start his almost impossible quest.
Obi-wan spent the rest of the night meditating. Only this time, he used it to pray to the force. He prayed for a better future.
