ADAS KALLIG
Things in mandalore sector were going in the right direction. My allies from the Death Watch took control of the sector and a deposed Mandalore decided to join me in my endavours. It all paled in comparision to the development taking place at the moment.
"It's a heavily modified Kom'rk class fighter, bigger than its standard counterpart to act as your main base of operation during your 'trip'. I don't know how many people you expect to have onboard pernamently, but I think it would have enough space for now. It's heavily armored and equipped with powerful cannons, makimg it quite reliable in battle. Is it within your expectations?" Asked Bo-Katan after presenting me my new ship.
Of course it was, it was amazing. It also looked quite beautiful, with two broad, rotating wings connected to the lean corpus, all in dark colors. I was completely satisfied with her choice.
"It's great. I will transfer credits to your account. Thank you, Bo-Katan" I smiled. She didn't smile back though, instead looking quite relieved, her posture no longer as stiff as before. Was it so important for her to find something good for me? She was quite a good ally then. Maybe she wanted to repay me for helping her sister?
Well, it didn't matter. There was one more thing to do. I turned to my new ship and spread my arms.
"A great ship needs a great name. I name thy the Second Fury! May you carry me through many hardships" Normally people would be weirded out if someone were to say such corny lines, but it didn't apply to the sith. People somehow expected extremely powerful people to act different, like being more dramatic, saying pompous lines all the time. It was quite useful, because it made it easier for me to say silly lines without anyone batting an eye. It was quite useful to be a sith.
We were just standing there for a while, basking in the feeling of having a new amazing ship. Well, I was. Others probably weren't as excited as I was, but it wasn't important. It was my moment and I was happy to share it with my followers.
The only one missing was my new daring companion, Satine Kryze. Apparently there were still some adjustments to be made to her armor and weapons, which meant that he had to wait until it was done.
I wasn't angry though. Mandalorians were defined by their armors and I didn't want anything other than the best for my new follower. I am sure she would be able to slay my enemies by dozens, so few minutes of waiting would be worth it.
Speaking of the devil, I saw Satine entering the hangar. She looked quite different than before, as she was wearing a standard mandalorian armor of the Death Watch, only instead of typical grey and blue it was grey with green fragments. The armor fit her perfectly, giving her a competent and deadly vibe. It felt right to see her like this, no mandalorian should travel through galaxy without their reliable armor after all.
Something strange must have happened in the past for the Mandalore of the New Mandalorians to not wear one.
Or she was just "My body is my armor" kind of woman, but he hoped it wasn't the case. Such mentality didn't work well in case of someone without access to the force.
"...I am ready, darth Imperius" said Satine, apparently not in mood for greetings. She looked quite depressed for a woman freed from captivity, which was quite perplexing to me. She was going to take part in an amazing adventure, she should be more happy about it. Especially since it meant leaving the planet that rejected her.
Though I guess she would probably still miss her sister and her subjects, despite the fact that Bo-Katan was the one to overthrow her and that her subjects no longer supported her.
Well, I am sure rhat she would cheer up after spending some time outside the planet. Maybe she would even be able to find something else she wanted to do, other than ruling? She was apparently not very good at that.
"Cool. Now we can finally leave for our next destination. Bo-Katan, I hope you will be able to survive on your own for a while. I will contact you in case I need something. And of course you can do the same, we are now allies. We have to help each other" I told Bo-Katan. She seemed like a reasonable woman, so there would probably be no serious complications.
"Just don't turn into Pre Vizsla or your sister and you will be fine" I reassured her, trying to make her more confident. She was really twitchy for someone so high in the hierarchy. I hoped she would be able to change that. Leaders need to give example to others after all.
After listening to me, she thought about my words for a second before replying.
"...Not Pre Vizsla, but also not Satine. I understand" she responded. Good, now I knew she wouldn't betray me or turn into bloodthirsty dictator like her sister. Guess, I shouldn't have any reason to worry.
My team started to board the Second Fury. The only one who didn't was Satine. She stayed behind, looking at Bo-Katan, who was waiting for her to say something.
"...Bo" said Satine quietly, as if unsure what to say. Not suprising, her sister just deposed her and then freed her. Lots of complicated feelings.
"...Satine" repsonded Bo-katan, similarily quiet.
They both went silent for a while, just watching each other. It took some time, before Bo-Katan broke the silence.
"...I am sorry" She whispered. She tried to sound confident, but a slight tremble in her voice betrayed her, revealing powerful emotions she tried to supress. Satine was able to hear it too, as she gave Bo-Katan a sad smile.
"...I understand" she responded, similarily emotional. She then turned around, as if not trusting herself to act composed, deciding to leave instead. No more words were said as Satine boarded the ship.
It was an beautiful display of sisterly love, still existing despite all the differences. Now they could both grow, their dreams no longer conflicitng with each other.
And it was all because of me. I was sure that they were both quite thankful for me making it happen.
I was thankful for my ability to understand others for allowing me to create this happy ending.
Well, now that my business on Mandalore was over, It was time for my next adventure, Dathomir!
MOTHER TALZIN
She felt a chill.
Looking around, she tried to sense the source of this sensation. She found nothing though, so she dissmissed it. She still had much to do, with all her schemes and plots in the progress, so she couldn't waste time on investigating it further.
It was probably nothing important anyway.
