Silence met Tristan's ears, rising from his sleeping bag at the crack of dawn, the rays of the early morning sun shining through the windows. Some of the bags were empty when his eyes patrolled the room. Suddenly, Tristan heard a chime coming from his pocket — it was another message from Neo. He ignored the text for now and went straight for the men's bathroom to change into his casual clothes.

Tristan looked at himself in the mirror with a hint of disapproval on his face. He didn't really like this being the only clothes he wore. Including his pajamas and DJ uniform. So he made a mental note to shop for clothes later. But first, it was time for breakfast.

After making his way to the Dining Hall, Tristan grabbed a medium-sized bowl and a spoon before staring at the assortment of foods displayed before him. There were the usual go-to morning foods like eggs, bacon and oddly for him — beans.

And as he continued browsing, out of the corner of his eye, he saw something white and brown displayed in the front. He dashed over and laid eyes upon his all-time favorite food. A Filipino dish called "Caldereta." More specifically, its tuna variant. After a few minutes, which felt like hours for Tristan, he finally sat down on a table to eat, a boatload of rice and caldereta mixed together inside his bowl.

He relished in its delightful smell before picking up his utensil and taking a big bite. And just like that, Tristan was at peace. He felt as if he stood still for his entire life and he just sat down. A quiet moan of satisfaction escaping his lungs, which didn't go unnoticed by the students who sat near him. But he didn't care, as long as he can still get to eat more.

Location: Emerald Forest

In the quiet forest, a person turning up their insides can be heard a few seconds later. And that person happens to be Tristan, who had just been launched into the forest he once woke up in.

"They — should have — atleast – warned us!" He screamed through heavy breaths and the usual throwing up. When that whole ordeal was finished, Tristan went on a long, angry rant whilst making his way to the temple Headmaster Ozpin mentioned.

But just as Tristan sees the temple on the horizon, he is immediately ambushed by a massive pack of Grimm in all shapes and sizes.

He was unfazed, he thought fighting Grimm would be easy. Thus, Tristan drew his sword and charged at the nearest Grimm, stabbing it in the head. The others charged all at once, giving Tristan little room to dodge.

A Goliath barged through the waves of Grimm and punched Tristan in the stomach, slamming him into the wall.

He recovers swiftly, evading claw swipes, stingers, thrown rocks, and all manner of other attacks. But all his evasiveness proved ineffective as he did not take into account a new Grimm he had not seen in the books he read. A Grimm that would soon be called: "Archies."

Medium-sized, lizard-like Grimm covered in an array of spikes on the entire upper side of the body. They use these spikes to defend from attacks and to use as projectiles. At its early stages, the creature's aim is sloppy at best but when left alive for many years, It can be devastating. Especially if they are in a large group.

The weakness of these pesky Grimm is their inability to fight back at CQC. Thus, when a target is too close for comfort, they will jump back and retreat, as their fire rate is also comparable to a slow sniper rifle.

And unfortunately, these Grimm chose the right time to popup. Aiming their weapons towards our protagonist, they fired. Turning Tristan into a pin cushion. And as he bled out on the grass floor, he now realized how different fighting Grimm was from human beings. And he learned it the hard way. Tristan cursed himself for not retreating when he had the opportunity, now his second life had been wasted. With nothing else to do except bleed to death, Tristan shut his eyes and felt Death's cold embrace once more.

Hmm, what a shame.

You've bitten the dust.

But not for long.

I already knew this would happen.

So, I've brought you some friends.

I'm sure you four will get along well.

This story is not over yet dear reader, Oh ho no, it has only been the third chapter. And since the author had given up on writing this story, why not bring him with you? As I have deemed him worthless and decided to take matters into my own hands.

Looking for answers? Do not fret, it will all be explained soon enough. This… Journey of his will be more traumatizing and depressing, than his last life. With fond memories and fun times along the way.

All narrated by me…

Mr. Doyle
