CHAPTER 6

authors note: this Chapter will stray away from my self insert main character and follow Ito and Nagato on a Mission given to them specifically from the ninja office

a note to myself: to remember names i might end up listing them here

Momochi Nagato: Father of our protagonist, water chakra nature, Konohagakure Jounin

Kachi Ito: Mother of our protagonist, medical nin, wind chakra nature, Konohagakure Jounin

Inuzuka Akai: ?,?,?, from the Inuzuka clan, Konohagakure Jounin, dog: Meno, german shepard
Une Mukata: ?,?,?,?, konohagakure Jounin

Momochi Tanaka: Protagonist ,?, konohagakure civilian.

Ito and Nagato left early in the morning after leaving Tanaka with his grandma, reconvening with Akai at the entrance, they found her waiting for them wearing the standard Jounin uniform, playing with a rather large dog similar to a german shepard, standing next to her stood a tall man wearing a darkened version of the standard uniform with a big backpack, it was Une Mukata

"Akai!" shouted Ito approaching her friend

Akai approached her and hugged her

"oh it's been too long since we saw each other for the last time!"

"hello, i'm here too" Nagato said waving his had at them

"Nagato" said Mukata without moving a single muscle

"Mukata" replied Nagato, before proceeding to walk to the entrance "come on we have to take care of the mission, everyone knows what the mission is about, right?"

"Missing people, ninjas, and animals on a town, we have to scout for what could be caused these disappearances" noted Akai

"And i am here to put traps in case it's a wild animal" Mukata added

"we better get going if we want to finish this quick, we left Tanaka with my mother" Ito said

"right" Nagato responded before starting to move on the direction of the town, even if it would only take a maximum of two days it would be better if they got this mission done quickly It actually did not take long at all for them to get to the town, at most half a day of travel, once they got them it was easy to figure out that it wasn't a very special town I'm not rates not much to look at, just houses, the people that live there, truly boring they talk to some people in the surrounding area for information about the happenings there were mixed results in fact within the stories there was a common factor the presence of a bug like humanoid

" I..an.. excuse me Mam and would you mind there telling me about the disappearances that have been happening around in town we are ninjas from the leaf we were sent here to investigate about this mystery" Nagato asked to a rather old lady

" ah... those have been happening a lot recently, people I think that it has something to do with the BaguKibabutsu"

"Could you tell me what exactly it's this BaguKibabutsu, a lot of people have been mentioned it I know it's some kind of, bug? but I'm not quite sure I understand"

" ah... those have been happening a lot recently, people…well it's a legend from..., from around here about a hateful spirit that has a man like body and the characteristics of a cicada, during the night it eats the people that it dislikes"

" really?, since when has been this Legend been around?"

" it has actually been here for around 15 16 years that before that the world are some sightings of large cicada but not just large, I mean gigantic, I'd say well, I have heard that is around the size of a child, but sightings stoped years ago right when the BaguKibabutsu started"

" now, what do you say it's a good place to try to sight or catch it?"

" I do not recommend that you try to catch it, or kill it many have tried before but no one came back"

"Oh, from where did no one come back?"

"From a cave if you want to call it that, it's more or less a hole near the outside of town where people have seen it the most and the place with the most disappearances, a few years ago my husband try to go in and and the creature wants of room he never came back..."

Mumbling something to herself, her voice slowly quieting down until the simple silence replaced her tale

" I...I think I should go"

Them letting simply walked away neither slowly nor fast until she disappeared from Nagato's view, a little bit depressed now he walked back to the meeting point, at least he knew where to look now for the thing, when he got there, in front of an inn, Ito, Akai and Mukata were already there.

" so, give anyone find out anything?" Asked a Akai

" just the names of the jobs of the people that disappeared from town" Mukata showed a paper with the names on it whit the jobs next to them

" well well, I actually got more or less the same, but I did get told that it was I'm kind of bug a spirit bug, but not much else, it's some kind of legend or something"

"i was told by an old lady that years ago there was a weird gigant cicada monster or spirit, then it just disappeared, right then the legend of this cicada man spirit called BaguKibabutsu started, thats when people started to disappear, then she just went away"

"Did she tell you where we could find that thing?" asked Mukata Stroking his chin

"she mentioned that it lives on the outside of the town on a hole or cave"

"Well tomorrow we will look around the exterior of the town and if we find a suspicious area I'll set some traps there, for today it might be better for us to rest and set them early on the morning, then we'll have from 10am to 5pm to hear it in case we do not find it"

"why only at those times?" Ito asked

"if you picked up a book sometime or just payed atention, you'd know cicadas generally sing at those times"

Ito looked slightly ofended, " Are you gonna let him talk to me that way?" She asked Nagato

"i believe i shouldn't say anything in regards to this subject" Nagato simply looked away

"what a husband you got yourself Ito" added Ito to the conversation laughing

"Hey, i'm not dumb!" as she said that, the stoic Mukata let out a chuckle

"Well i'm off to bed, before i say anything" Nagato got up from the table and went to the rooms of the inn

"Did none of us change since the academia?, but anyway, he is right we should go to sleep, we are in a mision after all" Mukata preceded to get up

"Mukata is right, we should finish this mision, then we could meet up somewhere in the village" Meno who was sitting on the ground next to her stretched walked over to the rooms and barked signaling Akai to go to sleep

"Your right, even Meno whant's to go to sleep, oh!, yeah, we can meet at the part near the academy you could meet Tanaka!"

Akai: "Right!, goodnight Ito."

Ito: "Goodnight Ito."

As they said goodnight to each other, they both went to their respective rooms to rest and prepare for the next day.
