Previously in Pokémon: The Lost Child, the end has begun.

Everyone was staring down at Arceus, the god and creator of the entire Pokémon world. Watchog was watching happily, and the rest were in dread. They have failed to stop him from coming back, and now it looks like everything is over.

"It feels good to be back; I have longed for having a world to rule over," Arceus said.

"Lord Arceus, I am horned to be graced by your presence," Watchog says as he kneels in front of Arceus.

"You have done a great job freeing me from my prison, Watchog," Arceus commented.

"Now I will have my revenge against the people who ruined my life," Watchog commented, looking at Empoleon and Sceptile.

"You two have been a real thorn in my plans for the longest time. I won't kill them though," Arceus said.

"Wait, why? My revenge though," Watchog angrily said.

"I want them to suffer as they watch their world fall at my hands while there is nothing they can do," Arceus said.

"I like the sound of that idea, Lord Arcues," Watchog commented.

Deoxys was limping on the ground, reaching out towards Watchog with what little strength he had left. "Watchog, please listen to me Arceus is lying to you; Empoleon and Sceptile are not the ones who killed your gang."

"You lie; why should I believe your wretched words?" Watchog said.

"I looked into my visions; I know exactly how your gang was killed." Deoxys plays a projection right in front of them that shows the gang hanging out in the grass. When suddenly, a giant meteor storm strikes down from above, killing all of them instantly. Deoxys, after it was done, said, "I am sorry that I did not see this earlier, but it couldn't have been them that did this; both of them are incapable of summoning meteors."

"What? No, you must be lying. Lord Arcues, tell me that this vision is fake." Instead of responding to what Watchog asked, Arceus started slightly chuckling at all of this.

"Well, I had hoped that I could potentially use you some more, but I guess there is no point in lying any longer," Arceus said.

"It can't be true you didn't. No, no, no!" Watchog frantically shouted, realizing fully what he might have just done.

"Yes, it is true; it was I, not Empoleon and Sceptile, that killed your gang. They were just one step in unlocking your true hatred that I could use to free myself. I would like to thank you for how useful you have been. I have never met someone as gullible as you."

Watchog, at the realization of what he had just done and that he had been lied to, went on his knees and started breaking down. Arceus was amused by seeing this and only found Watchog to be pathetic.

Watchog's emotions soon turned into anger at Arceus for the fact that he lied to him. Watchog jumped up into the air and attacked Arceus, hitting him multiple times. Arceus shrugged off the hits, though, and quickly hit him with a powerful beam that instantly disintegrated Watchog on the spot.

Arceus, however, was distracted just long enough for the heroes to escape with the help of Aegislash's stealth skills.

Arceus looked around to see that they were all gone; he didn't care much though and just shrugged it off, saying, "How pathetic! You can try and run all you want, but you can't escape your inevitable fate." Arceus flew up in the air, knowing that it was only a matter of time until he regained enough of his strength to destroy the entire world.

"It doesn't appear that Arceus is trying to follow us, so we should be safe for now," Aegislash said as he was looking around at what was going on after teleporting everyone out.

"It doesn't need to care anymore, we are powerless to stop what is about to come. We have lost; soon everything will be destroyed, and we will all cease to exist," Deoxys sadly responded.

"We can't just give up like that, there has to be something that we can do. You defeated Arceus in the past; can't you do it again?" Empoleon begged.

"Most of the gods by this point are either dead or too busy fighting each other; me and Victini are some of the only ones left," Deoxys observed as a massive ball of energy began to be summoned, commenting, "That is Arceus' judgement, and soon this entire world will fall victim to it."

"Everyone will die!" Arceus said as he was laughing manically at the vision he wanted to bring for the centuries that he was trapped in that prison.

Inside the rest of the world, everyone had seen this giant glowing ball that appeared in the sky. Everyone else had no idea about Arceus, so they all had no idea what was going on. They had all assumed that it meant that the end of the world was coming, and they were correct about that. The entire world had been sent into a panic as everyone was scouring to try and protect themselves and get everything fixed before the world ended.

The heroes made it to a nearby village, one that Empoleon and Sceptile had been to before and helped in the past: Greenwood Town. It had once been under the control of the Brotherhood, but Empoleon and Sceptile helped bring it to prosperity. It had now gone back into disarray as a result of this glowing orb in the sky, which everyone was assuming meant the end of the world.

They had made it to the village in a short time with the help of Aegislash and saw what was happening. Pokémon were running all over the place, screaming about the end of the world; everything was on fire. It was quite disheartening to see. Empoleon and Sceptile had helped rebuild this place, and it felt like everything was falling apart so quickly.

"I know this place," Aegislash commented.

"Yeah, of course, you do; this place was controlled by the Brotherhood until it fell," Sceptile commented.

Empoleon marched up to the town and started speaking to everyone, "Everyone, I know you are all panicking and I understand, but please listen to me."

"The world is ending; we are all doomed!" a Furret yelled out loudly.

"Everyone, if we want to stop this from happening, we need to calm down and band together. Together, we can all do it." Empoleon's words failed in death's ear as nobody listened and all continuity panicked, running around screaming about the end of the world.

"I don't think they are going to listen so easily," a voice in the distance said. Empoleon turned around to see that it was Zangoose. Empoleon remembered Zangoose, who helped them find a Slowking that made some kind of prophecy. Empoleon had a feeling that this was the same one.

When Zangoose approached, Empoleon asked, "Are you?"

"Yeah, I am the same Zangoose that you once met, all that time ago, back when you were still unevolved."

"What are you doing here?" Sceptile asked.

"There is something I need you two to see. Follow me," Zangoose said. After which, all five of them started following Zangoose while he led the two inside a cave. As they arrived, the first thing that they saw was Sawk, the same one who used to be a member of The Brotherhood before defecting.

"Sawk, is that you?" Aegislash said.

"Let me make this clear, Aegislash, I don't particularly like you. But whatever animosity we hold, we need to put that aside; right now there is something far bigger," Hawk sternly responded.

"Yeah, I understand that very well," Aegislash responded.

"So, I am sure you two remember the moment when I took you to see Slowking; he saw something that caused his mind to be overwhelmed and killed him. That was something I had always wondered about. I had been looking into the legend of Arceus, the god Pokémon, and I had found Sawk, who had also encountered you two while you had been visited by a god Pokémon, Mewtwo, who had warned you when the Brotherhood attacked," Zangoose started to explain.

"Wait, Mewtwo, that can't be right; Mewtwo has been dead for centuries; he died in my arms," Deoxys said.

"No, he is telling the truth; we were there for that," Empoleon explained.

"That was an answer I wasn't sure about but I thought I would hear, that confirms our suspicions, that was Arceus in disguise," Sawk said.

"That means that Arceus has been manipulating our paths from the very beginning," Sceptile said.

"But why would he do that?" Empoleon wondered.

"I, unfortunately, think that I know the answer to that," Deoxys responded.

"Go on, I think I might already know the answer, but I would like to hear it," Zangoose said.

"Remember when I said that you, Empoleon, and Sceptile, would be key in defeating the greatest threat to the planet? At the time, I didn't want to tell you this as I was worried that Arceus would find out, but I had always suspected that it was you two who were part of that prophecy. I am sorry that I didn't say anything earlier. I was worried about Arceus and what he could do if I said too much. I had hoped that your helping to seal the portal up was all that needed to be done, but I knew that it was too good to be true," Deoxys explained.

"I understand Deoxys, and I do thank you for everything that you have done for us; you were the one that saved us from Arceus' explosion in the base that would have killed us. If you are correct about what we need to do, then there is still a chance for us to win," Empoleon said.

"Whatever you need, both of us will be here to help; this is our world as well, and we want to save it," Sawk said.

"You know, Empoleon, throughout our journey there have been many Pokémon we have helped. You said that the prophecy was about him being the key to saving the world, not that he was the one to do it single-handedly. What you need to do is gather all our allies, and maybe together we can stand a chance of defeating Arceus. We might lose, but at the very least we will have gone down with a fight," Sceptile said.

"I think you are right, Sceptile," Empoleon responded.

All seven of them started going around the world as quickly as they could to gather as many allies as possible. First, they found Zoroark, who was also confused about what was going on, but Empoleon quickly explained things.

"So this is what everything was about," Zoroark commented.

"Yeah, we need all the help we can get, Zoroark; are you willing to help?" Empoleon inquired.

"Well, the entire world is at stake, so I have nothing to lose. And since you've done so much for me, I'm in," Zoroark said.

At the same time, Sceptile was talking to Electivire, the one who had a child that they had helped all that time ago when they first met.

"So the world is ending," Electivire said.

"Possibly, but it doesn't have to if we all work together to fight it; we need as much help as we can get," Sceptile said.

"For the good of my child, I will do whatever it takes to protect this world; thanks for trusting me with it," Electivire responded.

After as much time as they could afford to spare, the heroes gathered a mini army of Pokémon, ready to take on Arceus.

"So how are we going to get up into the sky to fight Arceus?" Sawk asked.

"I have got you covered," Victini said.

Victini used some kind of magic power that granted every single Pokémon that they had gathered the temporary power of flight, even if they originally couldn't fly.

Everyone flew up to where Arceus was; it was time; they would either win this battle and the world lived or they would lose it and the world died; nothing else besides that mattered. Nothing else mattered besides saving the world.

"Arceus!" Empoleon shouted out.

"I didn't expect that you would be so foolish to challenge me," Arceus turns around and sees everyone, "Scratch that, I didn't expect you all to be so foolish as to challenge me, the god of this world."

"You may be god, but that doesn't give you the right to decide who lives and who dies," Sawk shouted.

"You dare show disrespect; it doesn't matter that none of you will live past this day; I am your god, and you are all nothing," Arceus, after saying that, fires off one of his signature judgment attacks. That battle has begun.
